Beauty Queen Brynn Carnesecca Passes Away at Age 21

“One of my cherished expressions we often used was ‘we do this life together,’ and sadly, that’s no longer our reality,” she shared on Instagram on July 27. “We envisioned a future filled with plans of being aunties, living nearby, and exploring the world together. Now, I’m faced with the challenge of navigating life without you by my side.”

Cate opened up about the private battles her sister endured, which weren’t apparent to the world, noting that “her laughter and radiance were palpable to anyone lucky enough to be around her, even for a fleeting moment.”

She expressed, “Brynn was a beacon of light, yet she faced profound struggles.” Her challenges surprised many since “she was incredibly altruistic, always prioritizing others’ needs above her own.”

She emphasized, “Let Brynn’s journey remind us that we never truly know what someone might be facing.”

As Cate prepares to step into the future, she carries her sister’s memory within her heart, striving to keep her close in spirit.

“I won’t get to know what growing old with Brynn looks like, but I want to do it in honor of her,” she shared. “She will continue to be my guiding light for my life. Even though I hoped to never do life without her, I will learn what that is like one day at a time.”

Big Brother 28’s Kamu Kirk Criticized for George Floyd Video

Kamu Kirk, a former participant from “Big Brother,” has come under intense scrutiny following the emergence of a controversial video where he jokingly references the tragic death of George Floyd.

The video, originally posted in December on his Instagram Stories, features Kirk reacting to an arrest occurring near his home. It remains accessible in his profile’s highlights at this time. In the clip, a detainee, whose identity is obscured, is heard desperately shouting, “I can’t breathe.”

Kirk, now 32, responds by laughing and mocking the individual, repeatedly mimicking, “I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe, I can’t breathe.”

He further comments, “Bro thinks he’s George Floyd,” making light of the grave situation.

As Kirk continues to film, the distressed cries of “I’m dying” from the detained individual echo while police officers handle the unfolding incident.

“People are crazy, man. I’m going back inside,” he says.

“I am gonna take that spot though,” he adds with a smile, seemingly referring to a parking spot the person who was being arrested formerly occupied.

Floyd was killed in May 2020 when Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for nine and a half minutes while Floyd repeatedly said he couldn’t breathe. He was 46 years old.

“Big Brother” fans blasted Kirk on social media for the video. One X post about the MMA fighter reads, “Racist as hell but also just a disgusting lack of empathy for another human being in distress. Kamu Kirk is garbage.”

Another X post reads, “the way it’s not even just kamu mocking George Floyd. he’s witnessing police brutality IN PERSON, LAUGHING at the victim, AND mocking George Floyd. then he films it, posts it on social media, and puts it in his HIGHLIGHTS. he is proud of that moment and wants to showcase it.”

Some fans criticized CBS for casting Kirk on “Big Brother.”

“I expect nothing less from him. He’s a piece of [crap emoji]. Did @CBSBigBrother not vet his social media? This is unacceptable,” one critic wrote.

Page Six reached out to CBS for comment, but didn’t receive an immediate response back.

Fans have now been digging up Kirk’s controversial social media behavior, in which he appeared to “like” a post identifying as a Christian Nationalist as well as posts criticizing the Muslim religion.

But this isn’t the first time Kirk has come under fire. He’s been accused of being homophobic, and on Wednesday’s episode of the reality series, he called contestant Jason De Puy — a drag queen who competed on Season 15 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race”  — a “zesty bestie.”

Some viewers took issue with the term “zesty,” which is a term that mocks men who are perceived as flamboyant or effeminate.

One fan wrote on X, “the blatant homophobia im sickkk he’s not even trying to hide it anymore.”

Earlier this month, he again caused controversy when he made comments during the live feeds about De Puy.

“I said, ‘Bro, miss me with the drag stuff,” he said in a conversation with “Survivor” alum Rick Devens. “Miss me. I’m still an MMA guy, and I have an image to uphold.”

“Big Brother” alum Frankie Grande, who’s openly gay and has criticized Kirk this season for his treatment of Du Poy, called for Kirk to be evicted from the game Thursday on X.

“You guys. Enough. How is this monster still in the house,” Grande wrote, while posting the video of Kirk making the joke about Floyd. “What the f—k?!”

Rhapsody Of Realities 31 July 2026: Our Chief Informant

Rhapsody Of Realities 31 July 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): Our Chief Informant

TOPIC: Our Chief Informant (Rhapsody of Realities 31 July 2026)

And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left – Isaiah 30:21

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

One of the blessings the Holy Spirit brings into your life is communication. That is, the activity of conveying information. The Holy Spirit talks to you and brings you information. When He sees it necessary to let you know something, He whispers to you and tells you about it. You can never be stranded or disadvantaged because you have the communication of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah.

Because I’m in constant communication with Him, I never walk in darkness. He lets me know what I need to know. I’m never bothered when people choose to withhold information. The one I’m in communication with knows everything. He always lets me in on whatever is necessary for me to know. He’s my Chief Informant.

Remember when the Lord Jesus was at a wedding in Cana of Galilee. The Bible says His mother was there. At a certain point during the party, when the wine ran out, she went to Jesus and said, “They have no wine.” She brought Him that information. Think about it. The Holy Ghost does all that for us. He brings us information. He tells us what’s needed and what has to be done.

Not only does He bring us information, He also teaches us what we need to know, and gives us guidance. That’s why we’re never in confusion. Never talk confusion. Never think you could be lost. Don’t find yourself somewhere and say, “I’m lost.” No; you’re with the Holy Ghost. He’s never lost, so how could you be? He’ll tell you exactly what to do. Blessed be God forever!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the Holy Spirit who communicates with me and guides me in all things. I walk in divine insight, clarity and understanding. I am never confused or disadvantaged, because I receive direction and revelation always by your Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Chicago School Board Approves Revamped $9.8 Billion Budget: Boosted by State Funding, Faces Teacher Layoffs

0

In an important decision on Thursday, the Chicago Board of Education gave the green light to a revised budget for Chicago Public Schools, now benefitting from increased financial support coming from the state capital, Springfield, Illinois.

The revamped financial plan incorporates a significant boost, with an infusion of $150 million in fresh state funds.

Reacting to this development, the Chicago Teachers Union shared their thoughts through a post on their official CTU website.

Meanwhile, Chicago Public Schools released a statement highlighting a pressing concern: “The updated budget compromises our District’s capacity to obtain necessary short-term financial solutions, like Tax Anticipation Notes, which are crucial for meeting the early September payroll. We are now tasked with presenting these altered conditions to lenders, though it’s unclear how the markets will respond.

“To put it plainly, there’s no assurance that CPS will secure the needed financing before the September 4 payroll deadline.”

“Failing to meet payroll is unacceptable. This places the District at significant risk of being in violation of the law and collective bargaining agreements. It may also damage our credit rating and severely restrict our future borrowing capacity for capital projects and operational needs.

“Most critically, any disruption in pay directly threatens the stability of our schools, impacting our students, families, and dedicated staff. CPS teachers and students belong in the classroom-not in limbo.

“We remain committed to full transparency and will provide updates as we navigate this financial challenge.”

This is a breaking news update. The following is from an earlier report. The video in the player above is from an earlier report.

ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watch

The district said it would not be able to make payroll in September if the budget does not pass Thursday, but union leadership was fighting against it.

CPS lunchroom workers were among the dozens marching outside Chicago Public School Headquarters to protest as the board is expected to vote on a proposed nearly $10-billion spending plan.

“We are fighting for higher wages, more employee in the lunchroom, rights, respect. We are one of the lowest paid positions in CPS,” Anise Balfour, CPS lunchroom cook said.

The district faces a more than $700-million budget deficit which it blames on in part to depleted pandemic relief funds, rising operational costs and lower student enrollment.

Critics of the proposed budget say any layoffs and cuts will gut school services and create crowded classrooms causing permanent harm to students.

“It is important that we understand that a society that does not invest in young people, betrays its young people,” Jitu Brown, Board of Education District 5 member, said.

CPS CEO Dr. Macquiline King said the upcoming school year could be in jeopardy if a budget isn’t approved writing in part in a lengthy emailed statement, “We are already on the knife’s edge. If we do not pass a budget… based on realistic and actual revenue, we will be unable to access short-term financing, and we will fail to make our first round of payroll for the school year — essentially shutting down the District as staff and students are supposed to be returning to the classroom.

And while school officials said they need an approved budget so they can make payroll in September payroll in September, the Chicago Teachers Union plans to fight the layoffs wants to amend the budget to start the school year fully staffed.

“Our school communities are being threatened from opening and operating fully because our governors tells us everything, but yes and then our school board is going to go in here and do an impossible task,” Chicago Teachers Union president Stacy Davis Gates said.

DNA Profiling for Crime Scene Hair Sample in Nancy Guthrie Case Inconclusive, Reports Sheriff

0

TUCSON, Ariz. — As the investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance approaches its sixth month, authorities have run into a roadblock. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos revealed in a recent interview that a hair found in Guthrie’s home did not yield a usable DNA profile.

“Indeed, we found a hair,” Nanos stated. “Our initial plan was to conduct DNA analysis first. That’s the standard initial procedure.”

Investigators, collaborating with the FBI, sent the hair sample to a specialized laboratory in California, hoping further tests could provide answers.

Nanos further noted, “The analysis revealed no DNA. But this doesn’t necessarily exclude the possibility that the hair belongs to the suspect. Confirmation awaits comparing it with a hair sample from a potential suspect, so we are preserving it.”

Investigators have preserved the sample, and it still may be of use later, he added.

“There’s other things that hair may prove valuable for, but right now it was just about, ‘Is there any DNA there?’ And the answer was no,” the sheriff said. “That was just a matter of weeks ago.”

Guthrie is the 84-year-old mother of “Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie. She will have been missing for six months on Saturday.

Nanos indicated the hair was only one part of the broader DNA work underway, though he did not specify how many other samples are being tested.

DNA testing remains a priority in the case, and Nanos said investigators continue working with multiple crime labs to analyze evidence collected from the home.

“Anything we can grasp onto with DNA is a part of this investigation,” he said.

That includes investigative genetic genealogy research, which is used to generate leads from a family tree. He noted rapid advances in DNA technology.

“That’s really where some of my optimism is, that I just know that we’re gonna get this thing resolved,” Nanos said.

There is a combined reward of more than $1.2 million that remains unclaimed.

“We believe, just as the family does, just as Savannah does, somebody knows something. We need that person to call us.”

At least one suspect was recorded by Guthrie’s Nest doorbell camera. According to the FBI, he is between 5 feet, 9 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a mask, long sleeves and gloves, and the backpack he carried has been identified as a black Ozark Trail bag.

The family is urging anyone with information to dial 1-800-CALL-FBI.

An anonymous reward can be claimed by calling 520-88-CRIME with information that leads to an arrest.

Frank Reich Innovates as Jets Offensive Strategy Evolves

0

Frank Reich’s remarkable NFL journey began with a memorable play—his first pass in a game packed with action featuring sacks by Mark Gastineau and Joe Klecko, along with Wesley Walker’s impressive 96-yard touchdown catch from Ken O’Brien.

While Reich’s experience spans four decades, don’t anticipate a Jets offense rooted in strategies from 1985. With his recent role in 2023 as the Panthers’ head coach marking the last time he called plays, it’s clear that his approach is anything but outdated.

“He’s someone who constantly evolves,” remarked right guard Joe Tippmann. “His perspective isn’t confined to footage from the 2000s. He’s up-to-date, conducting analyses on recent trends and where he believes the league will head. Each meeting with him gets me eager about the potential directions our offense might take.”

In the initial days of training camp, Reich’s innovative spirit has been evident, showcasing unconventional methods to engage key playmakers within the offense.

Reich was brought on board to revitalize a struggling Jets offense, which landed in the NFL’s bottom four in scoring for three of the last four seasons. Fresh off a brief tenure as Stanford’s interim head coach — a role facilitated by a favor to Stanford’s football GM, Andrew Luck — Reich reconnected with former teammate Glenn to spearhead this transformation.

“We’ve always just talked football and just hearing what his philosophy is, I would think, ‘I feel the same way,’ ” Glenn said. “It’s been good. I’m glad he’s here.”

The Jets expressed interest in CB Terrion Arnold, who was cut by the Lions in June after he was arrested and charged with felony armed robbery and kidnapping. Glenn was the Lions defensive coordinator when Arnold was a 2024 first-round pick.

Glenn compared it to when the Jets brought in free agent quarterback Russell Wilson to visit and offered him a contract as a backup quarterback — before Wilson retired.

“We’re always looking at guys that we feel like could help us,” Glenn said. “We do our due diligence and that doesn’t mean that we’re going to bring everybody in. The thing is, we’re just going to turn over every stone to make sure, ‘Is this a guy that can help us with everything that’s going on?’ Which we don’t know.”

A fire alarm sounded in the Jets building during DT Jowon Briggs’ press conference.

Only moments earlier, Briggs talked about having a “fire underneath your belly.”

“Not being complacent,” said Briggs, who was traded from the Browns to the Jets last August. “Continuing to work so you can prove that you have a spot with the club you are at. That’s really big for me.”

The Jets are off Friday — after just two practices — and again Sunday before getting into pads Monday for the first time.

Why the unusual schedule?

Glenn said he maximizes practice reps at 24 in the first week of camp, followed by a decrease and recovery. Then an increase to a max of 32 in the second week followed by a decrease and recovery. And then up to a max of 40 in the third week followed by … you guessed it … a decrease and recovery.

“What I’m trying to do is get our guys to be ready to play 65-75 plays a game,” said Glenn, who showed it to the players in bar graph form, “and that’s my job.”

Kospi Index Soars Over 16% as South Korean Chipmaking Stocks Rally

BANGKOK – In a surge reminiscent of Wall Street’s recent rally, South Korea’s Kospi index leaped over 16% on Friday. The bounce-back comes after a tumultuous week for stocks linked to artificial intelligence, which regained their footing after earlier setbacks.

Meanwhile, U.S. futures experienced a slight uptick, and oil prices saw a decline, painting a mixed yet interesting picture for international markets.

During the early hours of Asian trading, the Kospi escalated by 16.8% to settle at 6,531.71. This rise marked a stark recovery from the intense drops suffered earlier in the week. Driving this rebound were impressive gains from major players like Samsung Electronics, which surged 22.5%, and the memory chip powerhouse SK Hynix, skyrocketing by 27.7%.

This week’s turmoil in the Kospi index has been largely attributed to fears of a potential bubble in the AI sector and the escalating competition from Chinese chipmakers. Earlier in the week, Tuesday and Wednesday saw a dramatic plunge of over 16%, driven by a mass sell-off in tech stocks. This dip continued with a further 1.2% slide on Thursday, dragging the index below 5,600.

Not far behind, Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 also saw a robust increase in early Friday trading, climbing 5.2% to reach 65,072.42. Key performers included the SoftBank Group, a multinational investment entity with stakes in OpenAI, which saw its shares leap by 15.1%. Additionally, Tokyo Electron, a firm specializing in chip equipment, delighted investors with a 10.1% rise.

Oil prices traded lower early Friday. Brent crude, the international standard, was down 1.1% to $85.92 per barrel.

On Thursday, Wall Street’s benchmark S&P 500 was up 1.7% to 7,437.63. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 1.2% to 52,208.06. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite rose 2.8% to 25,122.18.

A mother from Indiana faces serious charges following a tragic investigation into the death of her infant son. Authorities report that her decision to forego seizure medication played a crucial role in the incident.

Chantel Cunningham, age 24, now faces accusations of murder and neglect leading to the death of her five-month-old son, Greyson. Sources from court documents, as reported by CBS affiliate WSBT, reveal that on April 6, Cunningham was alone at their Shipshewana home when she suffered a seizure-induced fall. It is alleged that she dropped Greyson during the episode and subsequently landed on him, resulting in fatal injuries.

Investigation by police uncovered that Cunningham had reportedly discontinued her seizure medication months prior to her son’s untimely death.

Cunningham was taken into custody on Wednesday and incarcerated at the LaGrange County Jail. She awaited her initial court appearance on Thursday, though the date for her subsequent court proceedings has not yet been disclosed to the public.

NFL Community Mourns as Coach’s Wife Tragically Passes Away After Cancer Fight

0

The Atlanta Falcons have announced the somber news that Cristina Ulbrich, wife of the team’s defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, has died following a battle with cancer.

While the specific type of cancer was not disclosed, it seems Cristina had been contending with the illness since at least 2025, if not earlier.

Cam Inman of Bay Area News Group noted on X that during a pregame meetup last season at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Jeff Ulbrich spoke about Cristina’s remarkable strength, bravery, and love.

Cristina was a devoted mother to their three children, Samantha, Jax, and Jace, standing by Jeff’s side as he evolved from a reputable NFL linebacker to a dedicated coach. During the early days of his coaching pursuit, Cristina pledged not to engage in any activities that might interrupt his career opportunities.

“We won’t be taking vacations or going anywhere until he secures a position,” Cristina explained to the Morgan Hill Times back in 2010 when she was 32. “We’re fully aware that Jeff’s coaching career could take us anywhere, much like his playing days did. I’m fully committed, and so are the kids.”

Jeff’s transition from the field to the sideline also gave Cristina some peace of mind.

‘It’s knowing we don’t have to worry about his health anymore,’ Cristina said of her husband, who had battled concussions during his playing career.

When Jeff was promoted to interim head coach of the New York Jets in 2024, the smiling Cristina was pictured offering her husband encouragement as he prepared for his first game

The couple’s patience paid off in 2024, when Jeff was promoted to interim head coach of the New York Jets following Robert Saleh’s firing. A week later, a proud Cristina was pictured kissing her husband on the sideline as he prepared for his first game in charge of the team.

The following year, he agreed to become the Falcons defensive coordinator and the couple was on the move for the fifth time since his Jeff’s playing career ended in 2009.

And it was that devotion by Cristina towards Jeff that stuck out to Falcons owner Arthur Blank, who issued his own statement on Thursday.

‘It was always evident how deeply Cristina loved her family and how fiercely she supported them,’ Blank said in his statement.

It’s unclear when they actually tied the knot, but the couple first got together nearly three decades ago. As The Athletic reported in 2023, Jeff met Cristina while on a recruiting trip to the University of Hawaii in 1997. Since then, they’ve maintained a private life away from the football field.

And according to Jeff’s former 49ers teammate, Takeo Spikes, she and Jeff were extremely close, particularly after the birth of their children.

‘When he got around his family it was like nothing else mattered,’ Spikes told The Athletic in 2023. ‘He didn’t care what type of day he had at the office. It was like, “I just want to make sure I’m around for them.”‘

News of Cristina’s death was first revealed by the Falcons on Thursday.

‘The Atlanta Falcons are heartbroken by the passing of Cristina Ulbrich, beloved wife of defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, after her courageous battle with cancer,’ the statement began.

‘Cristina was a devoted wife, mother, and friend whose strength, grace, and resilience touched all who knew her. She was a constant source of love and support to Jeff, their family, and the broader Falcons community.

‘On behalf of the entire organization, we extend our deepest condolences to Jeff, their children, and all who loved Cristina. During this incredibly difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with the Ulbrich family.’

The statement concluded with a request for privacy.

‘We ask that their privacy be respected as they grieve this profound loss, and we stand with them in support and remembrance of Cristina’s life.’

The Jets followed with a statement of their own: ‘Cristina will be remembered for her warmth, strength and unwavering devotion to her family. We extend our deepest condolences and love to Jeff, their children and all who knew and loved her.

Transform Your Waistline: 5 Standing Exercises to Flatten Your Stomach Fast After 60

0

Skip the gym machines. Choose standing exercises to slim down your waistline after age 60.

>

A stubborn belly, often referred to as the stomach pouch, tends to become more noticeable with age, particularly after the milestone of 60. Surprisingly, this isn’t purely an age-related phenomenon. It stems from a blend of muscle loss linked to aging, a decrease in activity levels, and an increase in sedentary habits. In my experience as a trainer, many individuals initially head to gym machines, hoping they will directly eliminate belly fat. Unfortunately, these machines can’t target fat specifically and often only focus on isolating muscles without significantly boosting overall exertion.

To achieve a more toned waistline quickly, it’s essential to build muscle across your entire body while also engaging the deep core muscles that enhance posture and support your spine’s health. Standing exercises shine in this regard. They activate not just your core but also your legs, hips, and shoulders simultaneously. Unlike seated machine exercises, standing workouts elevate your heart rate more effectively, leading to higher energy burn and functional strength development. Consequently, I frequently suggest incorporating functional standing movements into workout routines, especially before turning to costly gym equipment.

Throughout my years of coaching individuals over 60, I’ve observed that those who experience the most significant waist transformations focus more on total-body movements than on repetitive abdominal exercises. Here are five standing exercises that not only strengthen your core from every angle but also boost balance, coordination, and overall fitness. When these exercises are combined with regular walking and a nutritious diet, they lay the groundwork for a stronger physique and a leaner waistline.

Standing High Knee March

Whenever someone wants to strengthen their core without getting on the floor, standing high knee marches become one of my favorite starting points. Every repetition forces the abdominal muscles to stabilize the spine while the hips and supporting leg work to maintain balance. I encourage clients to lift each knee with control instead of rushing because slower movement produces greater core activation. Many notice stronger posture and improved endurance after adding this exercise to their morning routine. It’s simple, effective, and accessible for nearly every fitness level.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall with your feet hip-width apart.
  • Lift one knee toward your chest.
  • Tighten your core.
  • Lower slowly.
  • Alternate legs.
  • Continue for 45 to 60 seconds.

6 Stair Exercises That Restore Knee Strength Faster Than Lunges After 60

Standing Wood Chops

Rotational strength plays a major role in developing a strong, functional core. Standing wood chops engage the obliques, shoulders, hips, and abdominal muscles while teaching your body to rotate with control instead of relying on the lower back. I often recommend this movement because it recruits multiple muscle groups simultaneously, increasing both strength and calorie expenditure. Clients frequently tell me that everyday twisting movements begin feeling much easier after practicing it consistently. It’s one of the most effective standing alternatives to machine-based core workouts.

How to Do It

  • Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.
  • Hold a light dumbbell or clasp your hands together.
  • Start near one hip.
  • Rotate diagonally across your body.
  • Return slowly.
  • Complete 10 to 12 repetitions per side.

Lateral Step with Reach

Side-to-side movement challenges your body in ways straight-line exercises simply can’t. Lateral steps strengthen the hips and glutes while the overhead reach encourages the core to stabilize your torso throughout the movement. I frequently prescribe this exercise because it improves balance while gently increasing your heart rate. Clients often report feeling more athletic and coordinated after only a few weeks. Better movement quality often leads to greater confidence during everyday activities.

How to Do It

  • Stand with your feet together.
  • Step to one side.
  • Reach both arms overhead.
  • Return to the center.
  • Alternate directions.
  • Continue for 45 seconds.

4 Strength Tests Every Man Over 50 Should Be Able to Pass

Standing Cross-Body Punches

This movement combines core strengthening with light cardiovascular work, making it one of my favorite standing exercises for adults over 60. Every punch activates the shoulders, chest, obliques, and hips while gentle torso rotation challenges the abdominal muscles to stabilize and control movement. I remind clients to rotate from the torso rather than simply swinging their arms. That small adjustment dramatically increases core engagement. It’s a fun exercise that leaves the entire body feeling energized.

How to Do It

  • Stand with your knees slightly bent.
  • Tighten your core.
  • Punch across your body.
  • Rotate through your torso.
  • Alternate arms.
  • Continue for 45 to 60 seconds.
