Mother Allegedly Seen Dragging Son in Walmart Before Incident Leaves Him Unconscious: Police Report

0

Inset: Samantha E. Fletcher (Tullytown Police Dept.). Background: The Walmart where Fletcher allegedly knocked her child unconscious (Google Maps).

A woman from Pennsylvania is facing serious charges after allegedly rendering her young child unconscious during an incident at a Walmart over the weekend. Eyewitnesses claim she repeatedly “slammed” the boy into and out of a shopping cart.

Samantha Fletcher has been charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of children, recklessly endangering another person, and simple assault related to this incident.

The Tullytown Borough Police Department released a statement indicating that officers were dispatched on March 14 to conduct a welfare check on a young child at the Walmart situated in the 100 block of Levittown Parkway.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with a witness who described a woman displaying belligerent behavior while shopping with her children.

“The witness observed a woman, seemingly under the influence, shouting profanities at two small children and dragging one child across the floor by a backpack leash as he cried hysterically,” the police statement noted. “The witness further reported that the woman picked up the child and dropped him into a shopping cart, causing him to hit his head, and at some point, the child lost consciousness.”

A short while later, officers located the woman, later identified as Fletcher, still inside the store. They said she was “holding the unconscious child in her arms” at the time.

Emergency medical personnel at the scene examined the victim, determining the child required “immediate medical attention.”

Investigators said they ultimately determined Fletcher was responsible for the injuries observed on the child. She was taken into custody and later arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Terrence P. Hughes. The judge ordered Fletcher to remain in custody at the Bucks County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bond.

Court documents obtained by Phillyburbs.com provided additional details about the alleged incident and the child’s condition.

According to a probable cause affidavit, a shopper who approached Fletcher asked if she needed help with the crying boy. Fletcher allegedly responded that the woman could try. The witness said the child briefly calmed down when picked up, resting his head on the woman’s shoulder.

However, investigators allege Fletcher then escalated her actions, repeatedly handling the child in a violent manner. At some point, Fletcher repeatedly “slammed” the boy in and out of the shopping cart, doing so at least five times, the report states. During one of those instances, the child struck his head on the cart, losing consciousness soon after.

When police arrived, they found the boy unresponsive in Fletcher’s arms, while another child was asleep in the cart. Medics were unable to wake the boy, who had a large bruise on his forehead, according to the affidavit.

The child was transported via ambulance to St. Mary Medical Center, where a CT scan reportedly revealed he had suffered a serious concussion.

Authorities also contacted child protective services, and the children were later released to their father.

Fletcher is currently scheduled to appear in court for her arraignment on April 24, records show.

St. John’s Aims for Historic Sweet 16 Comeback: Can They Overcome Kansas?

0

In SAN DIEGO, a familiar scene unfolds for St. John’s as they find themselves in a situation mirroring last year. The team is riding high after securing both the Big East regular-season and postseason championships, bolstered by a dominant opening-round win in the NCAA Tournament. Their eyes are set on reaching the Sweet 16, a feat they haven’t achieved since 1999.

Standing firmly in their path is a formidable challenge: Darryn Peterson, who is widely tipped to be the top pick in the upcoming NBA draft, and the ever-dominant Kansas team. St. John’s is eager to move beyond the disappointment of the previous year when their impressive season was cut short by a heartbreaking loss to Arkansas, leaving them as the only top-eight seed to miss out on the Sweet 16.

As they prepare for the showdown against the No. 4 seed Jayhawks in an East Region second-round game at Viejas Arena on Sunday, Zuby Ejiofor of the fifth-seeded Johnnies remains determined. “I’m just looking forward to doing whatever it takes to come out with a victory,” he expressed, encapsulating the team’s resolve to rewrite history this time around.

Last year’s memorable season ended at this stage, in a depressing loss to Arkansas. St. John’s was the only one of the top eight seeds to fail to reach the Sweet 16.

“I’m just looking forward to doing whatever it takes to come out with a victory,” Zuby Ejiofor said, as the fifth-seeded Johnnies prepared to meet the No. 4 Jayhawks in an East Region second-round game Sunday at Viejas Arena.

It seems fitting that Sunday’s opponent is Kansas, Ejiofor’s previous school. He didn’t play much there as a freshman and transferred to St. John’s. The 6-foot-9 forward, the Big East Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, has been so critical to this remarkable two-year run that has seen St. John’s (29-6) win 60 games and lose only 11. All that is missing is a trip to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament.

“We’re going to come with a lot of fire and passion,” Bryce Hopkins promised.

This group seems to be in a better spot than it was a year ago because it is bigger up front and more capable from the 3-point line. These Johnnies have also won 20 of 21 games and haven’t trailed in their past four contests. In that stretch, they have gotten off to fast starts in each game, highlighted by the 13-0 burst to start Friday’s blowout of No. 12 Northern Iowa. There is a confidence among them that seems to be growing.

“We don’t fear anybody,” Oziyah Sellers said.

Kansas (24-10), though, is a different animal. Not only is the 6-foot-6 Peterson a uniquely gifted talent, but the Jayhawks have the size and athleticism that gave St. John’s trouble during the nonconference season.

Sophomore big man Flory Bidunga is one of the sport’s premier shot-blockers, and Kansas is seventh in the country in blocked-shots percentage at 15.7.

The Jayhawks own wins over the likes of Final Four contenders Arizona, Houston, Tennessee and Iowa State. They did struggle down the stretch, going 4-5 before topping No. 13 Cal Baptist in the opening round, and St. John’s is a small betting favorite.

“We probably haven’t faced anything like them since Kentucky as far as the length, size and size of the backcourt,” coach Rick Pitino said, referring to a December nonconference loss in which the Johnnies were overwhelmed in the second half.

So much has changed for St. John’s since that game.

Pitino went to a three-forward starting lineup, replacing guard Joson Sanon with do-it-all forward Dillon Mitchell. The Johnnies repeated as Big East regular-season outright champions for the first time in school history, then won all three Big East Tournament games by double figures. That included a stunning 20-point rout of Connecticut in the title game.

“Coach told us to take [the Big East Tournament] as preparation for the March Madness tournaments in not starting slow. Because in [the NCAA Tournament], you’re only guaranteed 40 minutes. That’s the biggest thing, starting fast, knowing this could be our last game.”

A joyous celebration followed. The next night, though, St. John’s was slighted by the selection committee, given a No. 5 seed and sent out West.

It didn’t seem to bother the team, which crushed Northern Iowa in a game experts felt could be tricky. The Johnnies have been adamant they haven’t used it as extra motivation. They have a chance to continue this memorable season Sunday and end the program’s Sweet 16 drought. That’s their inspiration.

“It’s one final opportunity for me and a few of my teammates,” Ejiofor said. “So we’re trying to make the best of this year. And we’ve already [done] some special things. But we have one more goal in mind.”

Barnaby Joyce’s Bold Forecast: Why One Nation’s Influence is Set to Skyrocket

0
Former Nationals MP Barnaby Joyce, who joined Pauline Hanson’s party in December after a fallout with the Coalition’s junior partner, has celebrated One Nation’s first successful election test with a promise: this is only the beginning.

Barnaby Joyce reiterated Pauline Hanson’s remarks from the previous day, emphasizing that a “clear message” is being transmitted to Australia’s major political parties.

“The political landscape in Australia has transformed, and this confirms it,” Joyce stated during an interview with Today.

One Nation seems to have met polling expectations, securing its most significant electoral victory in decades. This result is likely to make waves across state lines and resonate within Canberra.

Joyce noted that One Nation’s primary vote exceeding 21 percent in the South Australian election is unlikely to be a fleeting phenomenon.

“I believe this is what the public desires; the world has evolved, and it’s time for people to acknowledge that,” he expressed.

“It started in South Australia, next stop Farrer, then Victorian elections, and we will keep growing and growing and growing.”

Premier Peter Malinauskas’ victory may have been a landslide, but both Labor and the Coalition lost voters to One Nation yesterday.

Labor’s primary vote still dipped slightly to around 38 per cent while the LNP is sitting at under 19 per cent, with just over half of the votes counted.

Voters are turning to One Nation, it seems, in droves due to the ongoing economic issues impacting Australian households, Joyce said.

He said One Nation has transformed into a “viable, professional outfit” in the eyes of voters.

“It’s a constituency that is both former Liberal and National voters and also blue collar Labor party voters and people that just think that Australia needs to take a different direction, unless we’re going to have problems,” Joyce added.

Seattle Man Acquitted Due to Insanity in Case Involving Pregnant Woman and Unborn Child

0

The individual accused in a tragic 2023 shooting that claimed the lives of a pregnant woman from Seattle and her unborn child has been acquitted on grounds of insanity.

Cordell Goosby faced charges of first-degree murder and first-degree attempted murder following the death of 34-year-old Eina Kwon and the injury of her husband, Sung Kwon, during the incident.

On the morning of June 13, 2023, Eina Kwon and Sung Kwon were en route to their Japanese restaurant, Aburiya Bento House. The couple halted at a red light at an intersection at approximately 11:15 a.m.

It is alleged that Goosby dashed towards the driver’s side of their white Tesla, brandishing a firearm.

“In a short span of time, he fired a gun in the victim’s car window, striking the victims inside the car. After firing all the bullets he had in the gun into the victims’ car, he turned and ran from the scene,” prosecutors wrote in court papers, noting that Goosby got rid of the weapon. “The defendant’s actions left a family and community shattered.”

Officers later located Goosby, who put his hands in the air and said, “I did it! I did it!” according to court documents.

Then-Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell described the broad daylight shooting as an “unimaginable tragedy.”

Goosby was prohibited from owning a firearm due to his criminal record in Illinois. He allegedly used a stolen gun during the shooting, officials said.

Fox 13 reported that the King County court system said a not-guilty-by-reason-of-insanity ruling means Goosby “admits that he committed the crimes and agrees to commitment in a state psychiatric hospital.”

Experts for both the defense and prosecution evaluated Goosby and determined he was legally insane at the time of the shooting, leading the court to permit the plea, the outlet reported.

Family Pursues Justice Following Fatal Shooting of Brandy Fleming in West Garfield Park Alley

0

CHICAGO—Developments have emerged regarding the tragic discovery of a woman’s body in an alley on Chicago’s West Side. The victim, identified as Brandy Fleming, was fatally shot behind her residence in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

Chicago police have confirmed that Fleming’s lifeless body was found early in the morning on March 13, in the 200 block of North Kilbourn Avenue. Her family, speaking exclusively to ABC7 Chicago, has made a heartfelt plea for assistance in caring for her 5-year-old son.

Family members remain uncertain about how long Fleming’s body had been outside before it was discovered. They recounted to ABC7 that it was a passerby, on their way to work, who stumbled upon the tragic scene. Meanwhile, Fleming’s young son was inside the home, unaware of the heartbreaking events that had unfolded around him.

Fleming was found dead around 5:30 a.m. March 13 in the 200-block of North Kilbourn Avenue, Chicago police said.

The victim’s family says they aren’t sure how long her body was left outside in the back of her home. They told ABC7 it was stranger who happened to be driving to work when they found her body in the alley while the victim’s 5-year-old son was in the home and didn’t know his mother was killed.

“You took a really good person with a really big heart that cared about her child,” aunt Shantel Jamison said.

It’s been a heartbreaking week for the family. Relatives said only child was inside their house, at the time, unaware that his mother was taken from him.

“It was a lady actually on her way to work,” sister Esha Love said. “The boots are what caught her attention. That’s what made her come and assist my sister, and I’m grateful that she did. But I’m saying, in a sense, it was like a little too late.”

Her family says they didn’t find out about her death until hours later.

“Where’s her son? That’s what’s going through my mind,” Jamison said. “Is he okay? Is it a strong possibility he is hurt, too?”

Relatives say the boy was found safe at daycare, left with an unfillable void while the West Side alley remains shrouded in mystery amid an ongoing investigation.

“Sometimes people do holler out with silent cries in situations,” Love said. “I just felt like that I wasn’t there at the time of her desperate need.”

Police haven’t determined a motive behind the shooting, only saying the offender is unknown. So far, no one has been arrested.

Area Four detectives are investigating.

Kevin Spacey Reaches Out-of-Court Settlement with Three Men in Alleged Sexual Assault Cases

In a recent development from London, three men who accused actor Kevin Spacey of sexual assault have resolved their civil lawsuits ahead of a scheduled trial at the High Court. According to court documents, these settlements have precluded the need for the cases to proceed in court.

The allegations against Spacey, spanning incidents from 2000 to 2013, were serious and had been a subject of significant legal scrutiny. Despite these accusations, the acclaimed actor, known for his Academy Award-winning performances, has consistently denied any wrongdoing.

The civil trials, initially set to commence later this year, have been halted following a directive from Judge Christina Lambert. She recently instructed that the proceedings be paused, indicating that both parties had reached an agreement to settle the claims.

“By mutual consent, it is ordered that all further proceedings against the defendant in these cases be stayed as per the terms specified in this order and the confidential schedule associated with it,” stated Judge Lambert.

While the specifics of the settlements remain undisclosed, the judge did not issue any orders regarding the costs, leaving that aspect of the cases closed to the public as well.

The order, dated March 13, was made public on Wednesday.

Spacey’s representatives have been approached for comment.

Spacey, now 66, was tried in London in 2023 on nine alleged sex offenses against four men, and acquitted on all counts.

Two of the civil claimants, whose identities are protected by legal orders, gave evidence during Spacey’s criminal trial.

Spacey also successfully defended himself against a $40 million civil lawsuit in New York in 2022 brought by “Star Trek: Discovery” actor Anthony Rapp.

One of the most celebrated actors of his generation until his career was derailed by sex abuse allegations, Spacey starred in films including “Glengarry Glen Ross” and “LA Confidential” and the TV political thriller “House of Cards.” He won a best supporting actor Academy Award for the 1995 film “The Usual Suspects” and a lead actor Oscar for the 1999 movie “American Beauty.”

Spacey was artistic director of London’s Old Vic Theatre from 2004 to 2015.

Logan Paul’s Remarks on Tom Brady and Team USA Flag Football Stir Controversy

0

Logan Paul seemed to have the upper hand in his verbal sparring with Tom Brady until football enthusiasts voiced their opinions online.

Promoting the first-ever Fanatics Flag Football Classic, Paul’s team, the Wildcats, emerged victorious over Brady’s squad, the Founders, with a 34-26 win on Saturday in Los Angeles, following some playful exchanges.

Following the game, Paul, known for his influencing prowess and WWE presence, took to X to declare, “I beat Tom Brady.”

However, Saturday’s outcome wasn’t as triumphant for Paul as it seemed.

Both the Wildcats and Founders, largely composed of NFL talent, were ultimately outplayed by Team USA in the round-robin contest. This made Paul’s declaration feel a bit empty. Although the event aimed to boost flag football’s profile before its expected debut at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, fans remained skeptical about the sport’s significance compared to traditional football.

As a result, nobody was too impressed with Paul.

‘You played flag football,’ one critic remarked.

‘Bro said “I beat Tom Brady” like he just dropped a 7-touchdown masterclass in the Super Bowl,’ another responded. ‘Meanwhile it was flag football, no pads, Brady was probably sipping avocado toast on the sideline going “who’s this YouTuber again?”‘

Brady, who previously described Paul’s wrestling career as ‘cute,’ embarrassed his rival on the field by catching a pass over the influencer and jokingly flipping the ball into his chest after the play. Paul tried to get into Brady’s face afterwards but was held back by an official.

And that wasn’t Paul’s only awkward moment on the day.

Not only was he beaten by Team USA for the event’s opening touchdown, but he made things even worse by ripping a rival’s sunglasses off his face and throwing them to the turf.

‘How does he get invited to these things?’ one critic wrote on X in response to the incident.

Others called out Paul for being more of a wrestler than a true sportsman.

‘He’s not used to not having a script,’ another critic wrote.

Somewhat confusingly, Paul was seen opening a pack of Pokemon cards during the event. The long-time collector of the valuable trading cards was spotted trying to impress his fellow influencer teammate, IShowSpeed, with the keepsake during the Fox Sports broadcast.

‘And that’s one of many reasons you don’t play in a professional sports league,’ another Paul critic wrote on X.

Team USA players each get $100,000 for winning the inaugural Fanatics Flag Football Classic.

The event, recently relocated from Saudi Arabia due to the war in Iran, had been promoted through a performative war of words between Paul and the game’s marquee name. Brady began earlier this month by referring to Paul’s WWE career as ‘cute’ and ‘scripted,’ to which the wrestler responded: ‘WWE can’t stop me from kicking your ass on that field.’

But the pre-game chatter between Brady and Paul may have distracted from the third squad in Saturday’s round-robin tournament, Team USA, which won the event without a single NFL player. The American national team began by demolishing Paul’s Wildcats, 39-14, and Brady’s Founders, 43-16, before beating the Wildcats again, 24-14, in the final.

Open Heaven 22 March 2026 TOPIC – Your Words Are Powerful

MEMORISE: Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. – Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)

READ: Acts 5:1-11 (KJV)

1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles’ feet.

3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Samuel 1-3

Open Heaven 22 March 2026 MESSAGE

Today’s memory verse tells us that death and life are in the power of the tongue. Psalm 107:20 also tells us that God sent His word, and His word healed and delivered the Israelites from their destruction. Words can heal and deliver; however, as we see in today’s Bible reading, they can also kill and destroy. Ananias and Sapphira died instantly after hearing the words that Peter, God’s servant, spoke to them.

There is mighty power in the spoken word of God. God’s word is so powerful that the Bible says it is living and active (Hebrews 4:12). When this living word mixes with the living faith of a child of God, there is no limit to the miracles that can happen.

Several years ago, a man, who was seriously sick, came to the RCCG Headquarters in Ebute-Metta, Lagos. He had hypertension and a host of other ailments. As the Sunday School session started, the teacher said, “Today, we are going to study the crossing of the Red Sea. We are going to see the power of the One who can cause the sea to freeze. We are going to see the power of the One who can ask every storm to fall asleep.” On hearing that, the man knew immediately that God had sent the word for his healing to him specifically through the mouth of the Sunday School teacher. He thought to himself, “Ah, my day has come!” He was so sure about it that he started crying for joy. Somehow, he knew that the Sunday School session was not just going to be about discussing the story of the Red Sea; he knew it was the set time for his healing. Before the Sunday School lesson ended, he was healed! His living faith mixed with the living word of God to produce his healing.

When you want to know a believer who has faith in God’s word, you will hear it in his or her words. When others keep confessing negatively because of the negative situations surrounding them, he or she will keep declaring and believing God’s word. When people say that there is a casting down because of unpleasant experiences, the fellow will boldly declare that there is a lifting up (Job 22:29). Soon, the believer’s reality will start aligning with his or her confession.

Beloved, speak God’s word over the situations in your life with faith. Your words become powerful to heal and deliver when they are spoken in faith.

DCLM Daily Manna 22 March 2026 — Love’s Failsafe Indicator

DCLM Daily Manna 22 March 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Love’s Failsafe Indicator

TOPIC: Love’s Failsafe Indicator (DCLM Daily Manna 22 March 2026)

KEY VERSE: He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him – John 14:21

TEXT: John 14:19-25 (KJV)

19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

Love has both an emotional and a rational factor. The media world more commonly portrays the brand of love driven by mere emotion or, worse still, unbridled animal passion. Sadly, many religious people seem to project the same erroneous idea of sheer sentimental love into their relationship with God. They reduce loving God to expressions of endearment during praise and worship.

It is true that God loves His creatures most tenderly and that He desires that they reciprocate by loving Him with heart, mind, soul and strength. Yet, Jesus’ words reveal , in plain language, that God’s perception of true love is far from the emotional overload, so celebrated by the world. He reminds us that the practical proof of our love for God is the fact of our obedience to His word. Beyond the expressions of affection, there is the yielding of the heart, the bending of the will and, the deliberate effort to please the Almighty God in all things. Love is costly and yet does not count costs; true love is eager to please; that is its acid test.

The Lord Jesus is most qualified to teach on this subject. He demonstrated the highest form of love when He emptied Himself of divinity and died in our place. Jesus kept to the heavenly Father’s redemptive agenda even when the going was tough in the Garden of Gethsemane. He, more than all, understood the costliness of genuine love. This contrasts very clearly with the love shown by people like Judas who are self-serving and hypocritical. He came as a friend to kiss the Lord; called Him Master yet betrayed Him to the murderous mob of haters. We must not base our love for God on knee-jerk emotions or vested interests and personal advantage.

If you cherish the Lord, then prove it by living for Him alone, giving implicit obedience to His word in little and great matters, valuing His friendship exclusively in public and private and, engaging in His service cheerfully. The risen Christ asked Simon Peter repeatedly, “lovest thou me?” until the import of the message sank in. As the songwriter puts it, “If you say you love the Saviour, In His word you’ll always live, if you say your sins are forgiven and gone, then, prove it by the life you live”.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Love shines brighter in positive action than in the display of plumages.
