Prince Harry’s UK Return Sparks Speculation: Is Reuniting with King Charles the Key Motivation?

0

Former royal staff suggest that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to the United Kingdom with their children might be motivated by a desire to mend their relationship with King Charles.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to return to Britain with their children may have been driven partly by a determination to repair their relationship with King Charles, according to a former royal butler

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s upcoming return to the UK is seen as a step towards reconciliation with the royal family, particularly with King Charles.

Reports surfaced last week that Harry, 41, and Meghan, 45, are set to move from California to the UK soon. Their children, Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, will start attending school in Britain in September.

The family will reportedly live in a private, non-royal residence outside London while retaining their homes in California and Portugal, and are said to not be returning as working members of the royal family.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold, 48, has now told Us Weekly: “I imagine King Charles has played a part in their decision, and Harry wanting to spend more time with his father.

Arizona Police Apprehend Shooting Suspect; Second Suspect Still on the Run After Fatal Attack

In a breakthrough in the case, Arizona law enforcement has apprehended a suspect linked to a home invasion that resulted in the death of a Tucson police recruit and left his fiancée in critical condition.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department reported that 23-year-old Carlos Ramirez was fatally shot at his residence in the southwestern part of Tucson early Wednesday morning. Ramirez was on course to graduate from the police academy on August 27 and had previous experience serving with PCSD as a corrections officer. His fiancée, also 23, is currently employed as a corrections officer, though her name has not been released.

Sheriff Chris Nanos of Pima County described how the suspects were dressed in all-black clothing and wore ski masks during the attack, which occurred at approximately 6 a.m.

A split image released by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department shows surveillance footage of an unknown male suspect beside a wanted man, 33-year-old Alex James Barnett. The release of these images is connected to the manhunt following the fatal shooting of a 23-year-old local police recruit, which also resulted in his fiancée, a Pima County corrections officer, sustaining a gunshot injury. (Pima County Sheriff’s Department)

Deputies arrested Santiago Jorge Rogers, 39, at a hotel on South Palo Verda Road in Tucson on Saturday morning, the sheriff said in a statement. He is being held without bond at the county jail.

Alex James Barnett, 33, remains at large. He has a rap sheet that includes prior burglary and weapons convictions and has also been known as Alex Wilson, according to court records. In December 2024, he pleaded guilty to an unlawful imprisonment charge.

Alex James Barnett, 33, remains at large after a home invasion shooting left a Tucson police recruit dead last week. The 23-year-old’s fiancee, a Pima County correction’s officer, was also hospitalized. Barnett was reportedly last seen riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle, license plate No. DA466. (Pima County Sheriff’s Department)

According to FOX 10 Phoenix, he was last seen wearing a red shirt and black leather vest and riding a Harley-Davidson FLHXS motorcycle with the Arizona license plate, DA466.

Still images taken from surveillance video at a Shell gas station at 5405 West Valencia Road in Pima County, Arizona, around 5:20 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19. This is shortly before deputies responded to a 911 call nearby and found a Tucson police recruit dead and his fiancee, a Pima County corrections officer, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was hospitalized in stable condition. Police have arrested 39-year-old Santiago Jorge Rogers and are seeking another suspect named Alex James Barnett, 33, who remains at large as of Monday morning. A third man was identified, contacted by authorities and has not been charged pending further investigation. (Pima County Sheriff’s Department)

A search of Pima County courts for prior cases came back empty for Rogers. However, a man of the same name and age has drug and shoplifting convictions in Yavapai County, possession of contraband behind bars in Navajo and Graham Counties, and a number of lesser charges in Prescott.

Surveillance video shows men identified as Rogers and Barnett in black clothing and picking up items at a gas station convenience store about 20 minutes before the shooting.

The victims shared a child and multiple suspects were at large, authorities said. (Pima County Sheriff’s Department)

Hours later, surveillance video taken from a parking lot shows a third man parking the suspect vehicle, a gray Acura MDX SUV, and walking away.

He has not been publicly identified, but the sheriff’s department said Sunday he had been contacted by detectives.

“No arrest has been made as investigators work to determine his involvement,” the department said.

Anyone with information on the case or Barnett’s whereabouts is asked to call 911 or 520-88-CRIME.

Alan Ritchson’s ‘Motor City’ Movie: Find Out Where to Stream It for Free Online

0

After binge-watching Reacher Season 4, you might be yearning for more of Alan Ritchson’s magnetic screen presence. Look no further than his latest cinematic venture, Motor City. This action-packed film is set to hit digital platforms for purchase and rental as soon as tomorrow, giving you another dose of Ritchsonian action.

Helmed by filmmaker Potsy Ponciroli, who recently attracted attention with his 2021 debut now finding its stride on Netflix, Motor City brings to life a script crafted by Chad St. John. This screenplay has remained a remarkable piece of unproduced literature since it debuted on the 2009 Black List, a collection of Hollywood’s most coveted yet unmade scripts. The journey from concept to screen took nearly twenty years, enduring a rollercoaster of potential leads, including Chris Evans, Dominic Cooper, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Gerard Butler, before finally settling on Ritchson to carry the film into theaters.

Alan Ritchson steps into the shoes of John Miller, a vengeful ex-con who sets his sights on taking down a mobster responsible for framing him and stealing his girlfriend in the gritty landscape of 1970s Detroit. Joining Ritchson in this crime thriller are Ben Foster, Pablo Schreiber, Lionel Boyce, and Shailene Woodley. According to Foster, dialogue takes a back seat in Motor City, with the film relying heavily on its dynamic action scenes and a gripping soundtrack. Anticipating the epic showdown? Here’s how you can catch Motor City on streaming and when it’s set to land on AMC+.

The Motor City DVD release date has not yet been announced.

How to watch Alan Ritchson’s movie Motor City on streaming:

Motor City is not currently streaming free on any of the subscription-based streaming services. However, if you don’t want to pay to buy or rent the movie, we do expect to see Motor City streaming on AMC+ eventually, thanks to a output deal between the Independent Film Company and AMC+.

AMC+ costs $9/month. Find out more here.

When will Motor City movie be streaming free on AMC+?

We don’t yet know when Motor City will be streaming on AMC+, but we can guess it will be around late October 2026, based on previous Independent Film Company releases.

One recent IFC movie, Over Your Dead Body, began streaming on AMC+ about three months after it opened in theaters. If Motor City follows this same release pattern, you can expect Motor City to stream on Netflix around late October 2026, aka three months after the movie opened in theaters.

This is all speculation. We don’t yet have the Motor City AMC+ release date. If you don’t want to wait, you can go ahead and buy or rent Motor City online.

Trump Escalates Trade War, Slapping 50% Tariffs on Canada Amid Growing Tensions

0

In a bold economic measure, Donald Trump has unveiled a comprehensive tariff strategy aimed squarely at Canada, proposing a significant 50 percent increase on specific goods.

“For years, Canada has taken advantage of the United States,” Trump declared in a fiery social media post early Monday. “Starting January 1, 2027, tariffs on all cars, trucks of every size, automotive parts, and steel will soar to 50%.”

“Canada will no longer be treated as another state within our borders. In trade and various other aspects, they rank among the most challenging nations globally. While they act with entitlement, the truth is, WE DON’T NEED CANADA, THEY NEED US!”

Trump further accused one of America’s key allies of imposing “outrageously high tariffs” on American farmers, claiming these practices are creating untenable conditions for “our great American Patriots.”

Meanwhile, as of Saturday morning, new U.S. tariffs have already been inflicted on $20 billion worth of Canadian goods, impacting a wide array of imports. This includes items such as hockey equipment and wine, all subject to substantial rate hikes.

The ongoing US tariffs target a range of Canadian goods: lumber, steel, aluminum, alcohol, dairy, clothing, textiles and more.

The president’s latest economic salvo fired at the US’s northern neighbor comes days after a major trade agreement between the two nations fell through.

‘We’re going to hit back,’ Carney said following Trump’s Monday statement.

President Donald Trump released a furious statement on Monday morning accusing Canada of 'ripping off the United States of America for years.' On Saturday, the US imposted a new 50 percent tariff on some Canadian goods after negotiations on a trade deal fell through

‘Canada will match those tariffs dollar for dollar to protect our workers and businesses,’ Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said in a statement on Saturday shortly after the new rates went into effect

The PM said Washington introduced language in the final hours of negotiations that would have restricted Canada’s ability to make trade deals with other countries. He said that demand was ‘unacceptable’ and ‘a question of sovereignty.’

On Saturday, Carney ratcheted up his language, referring to the US’s new tariffs as an ‘attack’ on Canada.

‘You’re at war when you’re attacked, and we got attacked,’ Carney said.

Representatives for the US and Canada were locked in negotiations for roughly a month before the agreement, which both sides said was close, broke apart just before the finish line last week.

On August 19, when the tariffs were originally set to go into effect, Donald Trump extended a window for the two countries to continue negotiating ‘based on the fact that Canada and the U.S.A., subject to the finalization of documents, have a DEAL!’

But that gambit proved insufficient, and now both sides are blaming each other.

American officials have blamed their Canadian counterparts for introducing new demands late in the negotiations, including those seeking lower rates on heavy trucks.

‘Despite the U.S. offer to Canada to receive the best treatment of any major exporter to our market, new demands and walk backs of other commitments by Canada have upended the careful balance reached in the past days,’ said a statement from the US Trade Representative (United States Trade Representative (USTR)) Jamieson Greer.

Trump and Carney have met multiple times during the Republican's second term, but despite the sit-downs, the two leaders could not avoid another trade spat

Trump and Carney have met multiple times during the Republican’s second term, but despite the sit-downs, the two leaders could not avoid another trade spat

‘Canada declined to finalize the trade deal under the terms agreed earlier this week.’

Likewise, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and other Canadian officials have in turn blamed the Trump administration for changing their demands.

‘Canada will match those tariffs dollar for dollar to protect our workers and businesses,’ Carney said in a statement on Saturday shortly after the new rates went into effect.

The PM said its retaliatory tariffs targeting US goods would go into effect on September 8. The new rates target US steel, dairy, agricultural equipment and other sectors.

The fallout could raise prices further ahead of the midterm election as US voters are already wary of inflated costs.

In 2025, the US and Canada exchanged $872 billion worth of goods and services, according to the USTR’s office.

Love Island’s Molly Smith and Tom Clare Face Wedding Aftermath Turmoil

Newlyweds Molly Smith and Tom Clare, former stars of “Love Island,” found their post-wedding celebration taking an unexpected turn when police were called to manage their uproarious festivities on the second day.

The couple, aged 32 and 26, respectively, tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in Majorca, joining the list of Love Island contestants to get married. This comes two years after their victory on the 2024 All-stars edition of the popular reality show.

Following their nuptials on Saturday, the celebration didn’t lose momentum as friends, family, and fellow cast members gathered at the Suculenta Port de Sóller restaurant. However, the boisterous affair reportedly ruffled the feathers of local yacht crews in the harbor.

Amid the spirited revelry, alcohol flowed freely, and some guests took to diving into the sea—an act prohibited in the area. This prompted local authorities to intervene, as the Guardia Civil arrived to address the situation and restore order.

At the heart of the commotion was Casey O’Gorman, the best man, sporting tiny swimming trunks and white sunglasses. He was seen engaging with the authorities with a cheerful demeanor, standing beside the groom, before the festivities resumed.

The wedding party – including the bride and groom – were seen throwing themselves into the water, while a number of snaps showed the guests swigging drinks.

Love Islander Mitch Taylor and his model girlfriend Hayley Griffin were also in attendance, as were Sophie Piper and her partner Joshua Ritchie – who all looked dressed to impress.

Sources told The Sun: ‘Molly and Tom’s guests were having a great time, people were downing beer and Casey was keeping everyone in the party mood…

‘At one point Casey decided to jump into the port next to the restaurant which is forbidden. The police arrived to give him a telling off and told him where he was allowed to swim.’

It comes after, earlier this weekend, Casey revealed he nearly missed his flight to the wedding in Majorca after EasyJet overbooked it and he was initially denied entry.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Molly and Tom admitted they’d had a few ‘wobbles’ while dealing with last-minute preparations for their big day.

The pair also shared how their legal wedding concluded with dinner at The Ivy, which ended with guests ‘dancing on tables’, while Casey ended up ‘in a heap on the floor’.

Molly said: ‘It’s got to the stressful part, just because we’re weeks out and only because it’s invoices being sent and all the last bits that you start to panic about and then you start getting people asking you questions, like texting you.

‘So then it starts to get a little bit stressful in that sense. So I have had a little wobble.’

Tom added: ‘We just want it all to be perfect, but like you said, there’s just like little bits, people asking silly questions.

They have spoken openly about the wedding planning process with their followers, but shared they wanted to keep details about their UK-based day under wraps.

After they tied the knot, Molly and Tom shared that they headed to The Ivy for a celebratory dinner with close friends and family, but things ended up being more raucous than they expected.

Molly shared: ‘It started like so calm and classic. And then by the end of it, Casey was in a heap on the floor. We were on the tables dancing. Everyone just went to the Ivy and we just had a private room.’

Tom added: ‘As soon as the door shut, everyone just seemed to go mental!’

Top Questions About Manhunters Raised by ‘Lanterns’ Episode 2

As a self-proclaimed comic book aficionado, I’ve spent countless hours diving into the captivating world of superheroes and their tales. My collection boasts a long box filled with cherished X-Men comics, nestled under my bed, and I’ve never shied away from sharing my fiery opinions on Nightwing’s character. Yet, despite this passion, last night’s fresh episode of Lanterns on HBO left me utterly perplexed.

This confusion stemmed from an unexpected blind spot revealed during Lanterns Episode 2. Apparently, my otherwise comprehensive understanding of superhero lore has a glaring gap: the enigmatic Manhunters. It turns out I know next to nothing about these elusive adversaries.

**Spoilers for Lanterns Episode 2, now streaming on HBO Max**

In this gripping second episode of Lanterns, viewers witness a group of aliens, cleverly disguised as humans, abducting John Stewart (played by Aaron Pierre). Their nefarious plan involves using an intricate cosmic device to force John into reliving the excruciating genocide of their home planet. But that’s not all—they demand that he locate the elusive Manhunter hiding undercover in Rushville, Nebraska. Should he fail in this task, the entire town faces annihilation.

Though bound by a vow of secrecy, John confides in the current Green Lantern, Hal Jordan (portrayed by Kyle Chandler), about the looming threat of the Manhunter. Determined to uncover the truth, Hal embarks on an interstellar journey to Oa, the Guardians’ home planet. There, he daringly infiltrates a space prison to consult with his former mentor, Sinestro (portrayed by Ulrich Thomsen), seeking vital information on these notorious enemies.

Cut to me, sitting on my sofa, watching all this go down, and thinking the stupidest question imaginable: is Martian Manhunter a Manhunter?

Like, this is DC Comics, you know? Martian Manhunter, aka J’onn J’onzz, is in the Justice League. But Martian Manhunter is…from Mars? But he’s a Manhunter, too? And he’s been known to shapeshift???

Finding myself utterly confused, I did the only sensible thing and messaged the Green Lantern expert in my life: Decider contributor (and Lanterns recapper) Sean T. Collins:

Screenshot of messages: Is Martian Manhunter a Manhunter?

no, two separate manhunters

martian manhunter is just the superhero name for a guy from mars is all

Okay, because I keep being like... maybe the Manhunter will be our friend

ahhhh

no the Green Lantern Manhunters are bad news

That cleared up, I find myself realizing that other people out there might be confused about Manhunters in Lanterns. With that in mind, here are four key questions I had about Manhunters while watching Lanterns this week…and the answers my diligent research provided.

What Are Manhunters in Lanterns?

Manhunters are a race of superpowers robots who can shapeshift into any form. They were the Guardians of the Universe’s first stab at creating an intergalactic police force to protect and defend the innocent all over the universe. However, as they grew in power, they began to hurt more than they helped.

All of the Manhunters are supposed to be dead, but it seems that one has survived and they are hiding in Rushville.

Again, Manhunters are not nice, they are not our friends, and they are, in the words of Sean T. Collins, “bad news.”

Is Martian Manhunter a Manhunter in Lanterns?

No! Martian Manhunter is a Martian. A super-powered, shape-shifting Martian, who simply goes by the moniker, “Martian Manhunter.”

Also Martian Manhunter isn’t even in Lanterns! But if he were in Lanterns, Martian Manhunter would be our friend. I’m pretty sure of it!

Who is the Manhunter in Lanterns?

Well, well, well… That’s the big mystery, isn’t it? Supposing there’s a Manhunter hiding in plain sight in Rushville, it could be anyone from Jason Ritter’s chipper Billy Macon to his particularly paranoid father, William (Garret Dillahunt).

We don’t know who the Manhunter is in Lanterns, so feel free to drop your theories in the comments!

Is Michael Mann’s Manhunter on Streaming?

Yes! In fact, Michael Mann’s Manhunter is currently streaming on Prime Video in the United States.

Am I just thinking about the movie Manhunter because Sean pointed out how Sinestro’s introduction at the end of Lanterns Episode 2 mirrors Hannibal Lekter’s that film in his Lanterns recap? Yes, I am. But I’m also always thinking about Manhunter. Great picture! Michael Mann rules. So does Manhunter.

Revealed: $638M Left-Wing Voting Network Operates via Tax-Free Charities

0

A vast coalition of left-leaning benefactors and organizations funneled an estimated $638 million into tax-exempt voter-registration and mobilization groups during the 2024 election cycle. This considerable financial network operates as a sophisticated, Democratic-leaning “vote machine” within the charitable sector, which is set to extend its reach into future elections, according to an exclusive report obtained by – News prior to its anticipated Monday release.

The 64-page analysis, crafted by the conservative watchdog group Capital Research Center (CRC), titled The “Charities” Influencing Elections: 2024 and Beyond, traces the flow of left-wing capital through tax-exempt entities that form a complex web designed to influence elections. This infrastructure spans crucial areas like voter registration drives, Census activism, redistricting efforts, the National Popular Vote Compact, and the implementation of ranked-choice voting systems.

In their investigation, CRC researchers delved into financial activities of 83 prominent 501(c)(3) organizations dedicated to voter registration and get-out-the-vote efforts. They unearthed a significant expenditure of approximately $638.7 million in 2024—marking a 30 percent increase from 2020 figures, or about a 10 percent rise when adjusted for inflation. Paradoxically, inflation-adjusted spending through traditional political action committees saw a 20 percent decline. The findings contend that this tax-exempt network increasingly serves to favor Democratic causes, offering distinct advantages such as tax-deductible donations and reduced donor disclosure compared to conventional political groups.

“It’s crucial for Americans to be aware if their tax-deductible charitable contributions are being inappropriately leveraged to support partisan political agendas,” stated CRC President Scott Walter in a declaration to – News.

Walter further elaborated, “This report meticulously traces financial currents and uncovers a coordinated apparatus working to shape voter turnout, influence districting, determine presidential election processes, and ultimately, sway governmental control.” He emphasized the need for Congress, the IRS, and state regulatory bodies to scrutinize these revelations and ensure these so-called ‘charities’ are held to account.

The report traces the roots of what CRC calls the modern “tax-exempt vote machine” to a 2015 plan revealed in leaked emails belonging to longtime Democratic operative John Podesta, who would go on to chair Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

One of the leaked emails, sent to Podesta by the president of Swiss billionaire and major left-wing donor Hansjörg Wyss’s private foundation, laid out a detailed $100 million plan using 501(c)(3) foundations and charities to register millions of voters. Tables in the plan calculated the number of “total non-white” votes the effort could generate across eight battleground states, while still-visible edits showed passages discussing “beating Republicans” and “reshaping the electorate” had been removed, according to CRC.

CRC argues the documents demonstrate the proposed registration effort was designed to target demographic groups expected to disproportionately vote Democratic while operating under the banner of nonpartisan voter participation.

Wyss has since emerged as a major financier of left-wing causes, funneling hundreds of millions of dollars to organizations including the Sixteen Thirty Fund and New Venture Fund, nonprofits formerly managed by Arabella Advisors. The Arabella network became one of the left’s largest dark-money operations, serving as an umbrella for organizations and projects bankrolled by wealthy liberal donors.

By 2020, the report notes, a leaked memo from the Democratic-aligned super PAC Mind the Gap described charitable voter registration as “4 to 10 times more cost effective than the next best alternative” at “netting additional Democratic votes.”

Ahead of the 2024 election, eBay founder and liberal billionaire Pierre Omidyar’s Democracy Fund launched the “All by April” initiative, urging donors to move election-related grants to 501(c)(3) organizations early enough to maximize their impact before November. According to CRC, 174 donors signed the pledge, with the initiative estimating that it mobilized $155 million, including $79 million in new election-related 501(c)(3) grants.

One of the largest organizations in the network was the Everybody Votes Campaign (EVC), an umbrella name encompassing the Voter Registration Project, Voter Registration Project Education Fund, and Register America. The operation raised more than $75 million in 2024, up from approximately $50 million in 2020, with much of the money distributed to other left-leaning nonprofits and canvassing firms.

Among them was Field+Media Corps, which received $4.6 million from the Voter Registration Project for “voter registration support” in 2024. Seven employees of the firm were later charged by Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday with offenses including forgery and tampering with public records after thousands of allegedly fraudulent voter-registration forms were submitted in several battleground districts.

Another EVC grantee was the New Georgia Project, founded by two-time failed Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. The organization agreed to pay a record $300,000 penalty after the Georgia State Ethics Commission found campaign-finance violations stemming from its work during Abrams’s unsuccessful 2018 gubernatorial campaign. The organization later dissolved.

The report also singles out the left-wing Voter Participation Center (VPC), which has long targeted what it calls “underrepresented” constituencies for registration efforts. During the 2024 election, VPC came under scrutiny after it was found to have filtered digital voter-registration advertisements to exclude users with interests including NASCAR, Duck Dynasty, and golf — audiences critics argued were more likely to contain Republican-leaning voters. The episode prompted Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) to call for an IRS investigation into whether the organization was complying with its tax-exempt status.

CRC also contrasts VPC’s longstanding claims of voter suppression with the organization’s own subsequent research.

After Georgia enacted an election-integrity law in 2021 that then-President Joe Biden denounced as “Jim Crow 2.0,” VPC joined an unsuccessful lawsuit seeking to overturn the measure. Yet a September 2025 VPC analysis found turnout among its designated “underrepresented” constituencies — including black, Latino and Asian voters, voters under 35, and unmarried women — increased by nearly 200,000 votes, or 6.8 percent, in Georgia between 2020 and 2024, while turnout among voters outside those categories fell by nearly 180,000.

CRC argues the same left-wing philanthropic infrastructure extends beyond voter registration and the 2024 election cycle.

The report examines $118 million in philanthropic spending surrounding the 2020 Census — up from $38 million in 2010 — through an effort organized by the Funders Committee for Civic Participation and its Funders Census Initiative, formed with support from the Ford Foundation and other major left-wing donors.

The Census Bureau’s post-enumeration survey subsequently found six states had been undercounted and eight overcounted. CRC cites an analysis concluding that the errors were large enough that two congressional seats apportioned to Democratic-leaning Minnesota and Rhode Island would otherwise have gone to Florida.

Another chapter follows more than $66 million behind an April 2026 Virginia redistricting ballot measure that could have transformed the state’s congressional delegation from a narrow 6-5 Democratic advantage to as much as a 10-1 Democratic advantage.

Supporters of the new map were “significantly better resourced,” according to the report, which traces millions of dollars to committees affiliated with left-wing billionaire George Soros, the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and organizations associated with the former Arabella Advisors network. Virginia voters approved the measure, but the state Supreme Court invalidated the new map two weeks later over procedural violations.

The investigation further examines the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact, which would require participating states to award their electoral votes to the winner of the nationwide popular vote regardless of which candidate carried each individual state. The report traces much of the movement’s backing to left-wing donors, organized labor, the Soros network, the Tides Foundation, and organizations associated with the former Arabella network.

States participating in the compact currently represent 222 of the 270 electoral votes required for it to take effect, according to the report.

CRC also scrutinizes the push for ranked-choice voting, noting that voters rejected ballot measures involving the system in at least five states in 2024, while 19 states have enacted prohibitions against its use.

Taken together, CRC argues the findings expose a broader migration of left-wing political money away from conventional political organizations and into the charitable sector — allowing wealthy donors and advocacy networks to finance large-scale election-related activities through tax-advantaged organizations whose contributors generally remain hidden from public view.

“The report is built around a simple through-line,” CRC said in announcing its findings: “much of the ‘money in politics’ that voters distrust doesn’t flow through political channels — it hides within charities that pretend to be nonpartisan.”

Myles Garrett: A Dominant Force Among the NFL’s Most Feared Players

0

Myles Garrett may have yet to set foot on the field for the Los Angeles Rams in a crucial game, but his reputation alone strikes fear across the league. Despite not playing a single down for his new team, Garrett’s imposing presence has NFL fans on edge.

In a recent survey conducted by BetMGM Sportsbook, Garrett was named the third-most intimidating player in the entire NFL as the 2026 season approaches. His status as a defensive powerhouse precedes him, making certain that offensive players are well aware of his capability.

The survey gathered opinions from 1,800 NFL enthusiasts nationwide, asking them to identify the player they fear the most. Garrett was ranked only behind Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Bills quarterback Josh Allen, both of whom are legendary in their own right.

Completing the top 10 list were players renowned for their game-changing abilities: Lamar Jackson, the Ravens’ dynamic quarterback; Saquon Barkley, the powerhouse running back for the Eagles; Jalen Hurts, who leads the Eagles from the pocket; Aaron Rodgers, now a Steeler, who captivates with his veteran gameplay; Micah Parsons of the Packers, who dominates the defense as a linebacker; Travis Kelce, Kansas City’s unstoppable tight end; and the ever-cool Joe Burrow, quarterback for the Bengals.

The survey didn’t just capture fear but also admiration, ranking the most-coveted players in the league. Here, Garrett claimed the third spot once more, trailing only behind Mahomes and Allen. It seems that fear is often accompanied by a hearty portion of admiration and envy.

The polls’ findings have an obvious conclusion: If your team is playing against Garrett you fear, but for Rams fans, when he’s wearing your uniform, you’re happy he’s on your team.

The Rams acquired the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award winner in a trade with the Browns that sent Jared Verse and three draft picks (including a first-round pick) to Cleveland. Garrett joined an already loaded defense full of young talent after LA came within one possession of reaching the Super Bowl last season.

And if Garrett is the third-most feared player in the NFL, it’s safe to say that after their offseason arms race, the Rams would also be ranked as one of the most feared teams.

BetMGM’s survey didn’t ask fans that specific question, but it asked which NFL team would be the toughest to beat ahead of the 2026 season, and sure enough, the Rams ranked No. 1 ahead of the Chiefs and Eagles.

The Rams were also the fans’ top Super Bowl pick, with 11% of those surveyed backing LA to win the Super Bowl inside its own stadium in 2027.

Preseason surveys don’t win Lombardi trophies, of course, but neither do betting odds, power rankings or analyst expectations.

Fear, however, can be a sign of respect, and before Garrett has even had a chance to show opposing quarterbacks his new uniform yet, the rest of the NFL already appears to understand what’s coming.
