Must-Watch HBO Max Movies for July 2026: Top Picks Ranked by IMDb

HBO Max continues to solidify its reputation as one of the top streaming platforms, enhancing its offerings every month.

This July, the Warner Bros.-backed service delivers by consistently adding acclaimed movies, evidenced by impressive IMDb ratings, to their lineup.

As dedicated fans of Watch With Us, we’ve handpicked three standout movies that you absolutely must stream this month.

The selection features titles ranging from the gripping drama starring Zendaya to an entertaining heist comedy with the dynamic duo of Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett. These films are perfect additions to your watchlist.

3. ‘Ocean’s Eight’ (2018)

Who says being a thief is purely a man’s game? Not Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock). Her big brother, Danny (George Clooney), was successful at stealing from the rich to give to himself, and Debbie wants to do the same. She has her eyes on the Toussaint, a 150-million-dollar necklace that will be featured at the upcoming Met Gala. She needs help, though, so she recruits an all-female crime group to help her snag it. On paper, they should be successful, but things get complicated fast, and Debbie is soon faced with the very real prospect of spending the rest of her life behind bars.

HBO Max is bringing it in July 2026 – and by “it,” I mean some pretty amazing new movies and TV shows to watch. At the top of Watch With Us‘ list is the streaming debut of The Drama, the much-talked-about A24 movie starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson about a couple whose upcoming wedding is […]

A spinoff of the Ocean’s Eleven films, Ocean’s Eight is, in some ways, better. The plot involving the Met Gala allows for plenty of opportunities for surprises, not to mention gratuitous cameos, and the thieves Debbie assembles are more charismatic and less cookie-cutter than the ones in the Ocean’s Eleven trilogy. With a cast that includes Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson and Rihanna, Ocean’s Eight is a high-fashion heist film that will steal a smile or two from you when it’s over.

2. ‘The Drama’ (2026)

Robert Pattinson and Zendaya in The Drama

IMDb score: 7.2

We all have our secrets, but Emma Harwood’s (Zendaya) is a doozy. She almost did something in her past that would’ve been awful, but she decided not to do it. She thinks that makes her secret OK to tell others, particularly her fiancé, Charlie (Robert Pattinson), but Emma is dead wrong. Charlie and the rest of her friends are shocked she’s capable of such an act and reevaluate their ties to her. For Charlie, he has to decide whether or not she can marry someone he doesn’t even really know.

The Drama is one of the most talked-about movies of 2026, and with good reason – it takes a hot-button issue and generates plenty of, well, drama out of it. Part of the fun is experiencing the reveal of Emma’s secret yourself, but what isn’t so secret is the film’s great performances by Zendaya, Pattinson and Alana Haim as one of their friends. The Drama is a satire with bite; it might offend you, but it’s guaranteed to entertain you.

The Drama starts streaming on HBO on July 31.

1. ‘The Clock’ (1945)

Robert Walker, Nella Walker, Judy Garland in The Clock

IMDb score: 7.3

Joe Allen (Robert Walker) is a soldier who has only two days of leave in New York City before he’s called back to the front lines. That’s enough time for him to meet Alice Mayburry (Judy Garland), a young woman who takes an instant liking to him. As the two wander around the city, their quick bond transforms into something deeper. But the clock is ticking, and even if what they feel is true love, they don’t have much time to enjoy before Joe leaves and faces an uncertain future fighting Nazis in Europe.

Zendaya, Robert Pattinson in The Drama

HBO Max is the home of dragons (House of the Dragon) and stressed-out doctors (The Pitt), but it also has some pretty good rom-coms that are worth checking out. Thank You! The Clock is a sweet World War II romance that doesn’t have a trace of cynicism. Instead, it’s a deeply romantic film that asks you to accept the possibility that two strangers can immediately fall in love with each other without any ulterior motives. Directed by Vincente Minnelli, the film is a rare non-musical showcase for Garland, who has one of her best roles ever as a doe-eyed woman who will do almost anything for love. Sentimental but never overbearing, The Clock is a classic, one-of-a-kind romance that should be enjoyed in 2026 and beyond.

Heartbreak as Sarah Ferguson’s Charity Shuts Down, Leaving Supporters Stunned

0

In a surprising development, Sarah Ferguson’s philanthropic endeavor, Sarah’s Trust, has officially ceased operations.

Sarah Ferguson's charity has closed down

Sarah Ferguson’s charity comes to an end

Founded by the former Duchess of York in 2020, the charity was committed to tackling pressing global challenges, including humanitarian, environmental, and hunger crises. Its mission also aimed at breaking the cycle of extreme poverty. However, in a February announcement, Sarah’s Trust revealed that they would be shutting down indefinitely. This decision followed the emergence of new revelations concerning Ferguson’s connection to the deceased sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

And now, Sarah’s Trust has officially wound up and has been marked as “removed” on the public register of charities.

It was also listed at Companies House as a “charitable incorporated organisation” but its status is now displayed as “converted/closed”.

Federal Court Rejects Trump’s Mail-in Voting Challenge

In a significant development on Saturday, a federal appellate court thwarted the Trump administration’s attempt to enforce more stringent mail-in voting regulations just ahead of the upcoming midterm elections, where the balance of power in both the House and Senate hangs in the balance.

The 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals chose not to overturn a prior injunction issued in June by a lower court, which declared several elements of President Trump’s directive unconstitutional. This legal decision followed lawsuits filed by several Democratic-led states, such as California, Massachusetts, and Washington, challenging the administration’s measures.

The appellate court, in a close 2-1 decision, dismissed the administration’s appeal, marking a setback for Trump’s electoral policy plans.

Trump’s contested directive had tasked the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with compiling a registry of confirmed U.S. citizens eligible to vote in each state, utilizing sensitive data drawn from federal databases. Furthermore, the order instructed the Department of Justice (DOJ) to scrutinize officials who dispatched ballots to individuals deemed “not eligible” to vote.

In her judgment, Judge Talwani emphasized that Trump had overstepped his bounds by directing the DHS to assemble such a list and that the U.S. Postal Service lacked the authority to carry out these directives concerning mail-in voting. She pointedly noted that Trump had no influence “to coerce local election officials into using inherently incomplete citizenship lists as a guide, under the threat of criminal prosecution.”

Trump has remained critical of mail-in ballots and in his July primetime address on election integrity said there were “shocking vulnerabilities in our election infrastructure. This evidence shows that the election system we have dangerously exposes, and really exposes like levels never thought possible, the hacking, exploitation, and foreign interference.”

He also mentioned in the same speech that how long it took California to count mail-in ballots was “one example of insanity” caused by mail-in voting.

The Department of Justice (DOJ) has said that absent any ruling in its favor the administration may ask the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene.

Emma Roberts and Cody John have tied the knot in an enchanting celebration!

The couple exchanged vows in a charming ceremony held in Sun Valley, Idaho, on Saturday, surrounded by close family and friends after four wonderful years together. Exclusive photos shared by Page Six capture the heartfelt moments of their day.

Among the guests celebrating this momentous occasion was Emma’s illustrious aunt, famed actress Julia Roberts, adding to the family-filled festivities.

An insider revealed to Page Six that the romantic ceremony unfolded under the warmth of a 95-degree sun and lasted approximately 45 minutes, encapsulating a memorable experience for all in attendance.

Emma captivated onlookers in a breathtaking white chiffon gown, complete with a stylish high slit and an elegant matching headband, while Cody complemented her perfectly in a classic black tuxedo.

Per photos we obtained, Emma held onto her son Rhodes’ hand as they walked down the aisle.

Prior to the nuptials, three sources confirmed to Page Six that Emma and John were set to tie the knot this weekend in an intimate ceremony at John’s family estate.

The happy couple announced their engagement in July 2024.

Emma shared the good news with an Instagram post of herself smiling and showing off the large round diamond on her left hand.

She wrapped her other arm around her now-husband, who wore a similarly large grin for the selfie.

“putting this here before my mom tells everyone,” she captioned the picture.

Emma was first romantically connected to John in August 2022 when he posted a photo of him kissing the “We’re the Millers” star.

Shortly after, E! News reported that Emma and her beau were “taking it slow” after mutual friends in the industry had introduced them.

“Emma loves Cody’s personality,” a source told the outlet at the time. “He’s really funny, and they have been having a good time together.”

Emma, who welcomed son Rhodes in December 2020 with ex-boyfriend Garrett Hedlund, was said to have been hesitant about the relationship because she wanted to protect her child.

“Emma is cautious about bringing her son around new people but knows the day will come soon,” the source explained at the time.

Emma and Hedlund dated for three years until they broke up in late 2021.

Meghan Markle Dishes on Prince Harry’s Top Australian Meal

During her Sunday night guest appearance on MasterChef Australia, Meghan Markle shared a delightful insight into Prince Harry’s favorite dish.

The 44-year-old Duchess of Sussex joined the popular Channel Ten reality TV program, where she faced a culinary question from series judge Jean-Christophe Novelli. Novelli inquired about her go-to meal when cooking for her husband and their two children, Archie, aged seven, and five-year-old Lilibet.

With a nod to the complexity of her family’s varied tastes, the former Suits star confessed that choosing a single favorite wasn’t easy.

“It’s challenging because I have many palates to satisfy,” Meghan acknowledged. “My husband, being British, has a fondness for hearty fare—think meat, potatoes, and creamy sauces.”

“On the other hand, as a California native, I lean towards grilled fish and meats, enhanced with citrus. I enjoy using fresh, natural herbs and spices. Heat is my favorite—anything spiced up,” she added, painting a vivid picture of her culinary preferences.

She revealed that her love of spicy food was shared by her husband.

‘He can handle a really good curry! We just do a lot of barbecues, whatever is seasonal. The kids are great eaters, we are very lucky on that front,’ she said.

Meghan later squealed with delight when she received a surprise FaceTime call from Harry, 41.

She was taste-testing the finalists’ dishes when a stagehand walked onto the set carrying a mobile phone and told her she had a call.

‘Hi, my love! My husband’s here!’ an excited Meghan told the studio, and then pointed the camera at judges Poh Ling Yeow, Jean-Christophe and Sofia Levin, telling Harry: ‘I’d like you to meet the judges!’

‘G’Day! What’s going on? Have I interrupted something important here?’ Harry joked.

‘Well, we are actually in the middle of tasting all the dishes. We have four incredible cooks here! It’s amazing, they are so talented!’ Meghan said.

‘I can see the chandeliers in the background, they look very nice… wonderful!’ Harry said.

He then asked to see the contestants’ dishes and Meghan panned the camera over them.

‘I wish you could try this. These dishes are fantastic, really great dishes, there’s a hot sauce and it is so good!’ she said, cheekily adding: ‘I think it might be too much for you though.’

‘I will leave you to enjoy it. All is well here, see you later,’ Harry said as he waved goodbye to his wife while the studio erupted in applause.

Earlier in the show, Meghan proudly boasted that both her young children enjoy eating Brussels sprouts.

For her guest spot, contestants of the hit show were asked to create a ‘dish fit for a Duchess’ using ingredients she handpicked from the pantry.

She asked them to whip up a dish using ingredients like honey, macadamia nuts, citrus, edible flowers and celeriac.

As she unveiled a table laden with seasonal produce, Meghan told the contestants ‘my kids eat Brussels sprouts’, as Poh could be heard saying ‘that’s impressive’.

As for her family’s favourite dessert, Meghan said that she encourages her children to pick fruit from the garden of their multimillion-dollar home in Montecito, California, but the family often enjoy pudding.

‘The kids jump in a lot, especially with the garden. I think it’s really… It’s such a nice luxury to be able to have so much space and things to cook. And if they say, “Mama, can I have dessert?” You say, “If you can pick it, you can have it,”‘ she explained.

Should Meghan drop her royal title on TV shows, or does her past role still matter in public life?

‘No, you can’t pick chocolate, which is great. So, you can go pick a nice piece of fruit or whatnot. But, no, we always have a nice, as my husband would say, pud after dinner. But I think what’s really sweet is that they all chip in. Family time, I think, is really key to connect through food. So, as many meals as we can do together, we always do. It’s beautiful.’

During the program, Meghan paid the highest compliment to finalist Petro Papathomas, gushing that his celeriac ice cream dessert, which featured pickled apples and a hazelnut crumb, was of truly exceptional quality.

‘The execution is beautiful. To be that creative and courageous, to make something new, you did it! It feels very Michelin star to me,’ Meghan gushed to Pedro, who had one of the best desserts on the night, and advanced to the Semi-Finals.

Meghan was seen applauding Pedro’s hard work and then telling the fellow judges, ‘Oh my gosh, I have loved it! I can’t wait to go back to the hotel and tell Harry all about it!’

Throughout the program, Meghan had a few words of wisdom for the contestants as she acknowledged ‘there is a lot of pressure in this kitchen’.

‘I don’t like to cook that way; I like to cook in a really relaxed fashion,’ she continued.

‘So, all I can say to the competitors is to just remember to have fun, to keep a sense of humour about it, and to cook from the heart.’

Meghan added that ‘food and cooking are how I show my nurturing and love for my friends, family and my kids’ in a sweet nod to her and Harry’s children.

She told the contestants: ‘The hope is that you’ll really hone in on one (item) as your hero item. These are all things that, for me, feel really nostalgic. And I love if there’s a connection that you can find when, as you’re cooking something, you ask: what is the story behind it? It almost feels like an heirloom, right? What is something from your family or from a memory, something sentimental that we can also taste as we taste your dish?’

At the start of the show, Meghan insisted that she did not want to be called ‘Duchess’ as Poh introduced her.

‘Welcome. Do I call you Duchess?’ Poh asked after giving her a warm hug.

‘Oh, call me Meghan. Absolutely, yeah,’ she said.

After introducing herself as ‘Meghan’, she went on to declare her love for the land Down Under, explaining the trip was a ‘full circle’ moment for her and her husband as they had announced they were expecting their son Archie while visiting the country eight years ago.

‘Oh, we’re so excited. We love Australia. We had the most sentimental, amazing time. We were here almost eight years ago.  We announced we were pregnant with Archie at the time. So, it’s full circle, here we are, but thrilled to be here with all of you and taste some really good food. I’ve heard you’ve been cooking up a storm this season,’ she said.

Ukrainian Drone Strikes and Russian Attacks Result in Six Fatalities Across Conflict Zones

KYIV – A barrage of Russian ballistic missiles descended on Kyiv early Sunday morning, igniting severe fires and leaving at least three civilians injured, local authorities revealed. Additionally, similar assaults elsewhere in Ukraine resulted in the deaths of at least two individuals.

This aggressive military activity unfolded as Ukraine’s drone strikes have effectively hindered Russian troop advancements. The Ukrainian drone campaign, now extended within Russian borders, is exacerbating fuel shortages and mounting pressure on Moscow’s leadership, notably Vladimir Putin.

In the eastern regions of Ukraine controlled by Russian forces, officials appointed by the Kremlin reported that a Ukrainian drone attack had claimed the lives of four civilians in Horlivka. The city’s Russian-backed mayor, Ivan Prikhodko, stated that the area faced continuous shelling starting in the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to statements from Russia’s defense ministry, their military forces intercepted and destroyed a total of 133 Ukrainian drones overnight across various locations including Russia, the Black Sea, and the contested territory of Crimea, which was annexed from Ukraine in 2014.

The Russian offensive ignited a high-rise building on the outskirts of Kyiv’s central district, escalating tensions in the area.

Blasts rocked Kyiv in the early hours of Sunday, with falling debris sparking a blaze in a tower block near the historic center, according to mayor Vitali Klitschko.

Elsewhere in the capital, falling debris set fire to buildings, cars and car parks, Klitschko added. He said three people had been wounded, with one needing hospital treatment.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned in his evening address on Friday that intelligence assessments indicated that Russia was preparing missiles for a large attack, saying there were indications that this could happen in the next 48 hours.

Russia’s defense ministry claimed on Sunday that its latest attack on Kyiv had struck sites linked to drone production.

Also Sunday, a drone strike on Kharkiv — Ukraine’s second-largest city in the east — killed one person and wounded at least six others, including two children, mayor Igor Terekhov reported.

In the southern city of Zaporizhzhia, a Russian glide bomb killed one man and wounded at least six other people, according to mayor Ivan Fedorov.

Both Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia have been frequent targets for Russian attacks, with Zaporizhzhia — just over 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) from the front line — suffering heavy bombardment in recent months.

Tit-for-tat strikes

On Friday, a major Russian strike near Kyiv killed at least 10 people and wounded around 100 others, part of a cycle of tit-for-tat attacks that dims the potential of reaching a diplomatic end to Russia’s more than 4-year-old invasion of its neighbor.

Meanwhile, Finnish President Alexander Stubb claimed on Sunday that “Ukraine’s position is stronger than ever since the war began”.

Following a call with his Ukrainian counterpart — and appearing to allude to Kyiv’s recent drone campaign that has struck major Russian energy sites and sought to choke off military supplies — Stubb wrote on X that “continued support from (Ukraine’s) partners is critical to keep up the momentum.”

Woman Pleads Guilty in Ex-Boyfriend’s Death Following Facebook ‘Like’ Lead-Up

In the image on the left, Kacy Corso is shown (courtesy of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office), while the right features Christopher Millwater (from his own Facebook selfie). The backdrop is the Stony Brook Yacht Club marina, the tragic scene of the fatal stabbing on Long Island, N.Y. (sourced from Google Maps).

A New York woman faces the prospect of significant prison time after confessing her involvement in a fatal stabbing at a Long Island yacht club.

This week, 34-year-old Kacy Corso admitted guilt to manslaughter and obstructing justice concerning the death of Christopher Millwater, 52, in November 2025.

In the following month, December 2025, both Corso and her boyfriend at the time, Victor Panebianco, 32, were charged with second-degree murder for Millwater’s death. Notably, Millwater was Corso’s former partner.

Prosecutors plan to advocate for a seven-year prison sentence for Corso, thanks to her decision to provide full cooperation in the prosecution’s case against Panebianco, reported Newsday.

“She accepted responsibility,” defense attorney Christopher Gioe said outside the courtroom building in Riverhead on Wednesday. “She had a very limited role in what happened in this case.”

The incident occurred on Nov. 10, 2025, at the Stony Brook Yacht Club. Corso claims she simply drove the car that day.

During her plea hearing, she reportedly said it was only her intent to “cause serious physical injury” to her ex-boyfriend.

“What was the plan?” state Supreme Court Justice Timothy Mazzei asked Corso at one point in the proceedings.

In low tones, the woman replied: “There was no plan.”

Plan or not, Millwater was stabbed to death outside 21 Shore Road during the early morning hours, police said.

“Shortly after Corso drove into the parking lot at the yacht club, Millwater pulled in and parked next to her,” prosecutors wrote in a press release announcing the indictment. “After Corso then positioned her car in front of Millwater’s car, Panebianco allegedly exited the passenger side of Corso’s car and approached Millwater’s car. Millwater drove around Corso’s car, and towards the exit of the parking lot. Corso then allegedly drove her car into his vehicle. After the crash, Millwater exited his car and ran from the scene.”

Next, the state alleges Panebianco chased after the victim, swinging some sort of object, citing surveillance footage.

“You’re stabbing me?” the frightened man asked his killer as he was knifed through his heart and lungs, authorities said.

“Video then shows Panebianco caught up to Millwater, and while Millwater was on the ground, Panebianco allegedly threatened to kill him and yelled at him to stay away from Corso,” the press release goes on. “Corso can also be heard yelling at Millwater. As Millwater lay motionless on the ground, Panebianco allegedly kicked Millwater in the head. Panebianco then got back into Corso’s car and she drove off.”

Police found Millwater at around 3:40 a.m. and rushed him to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim had “liked” one of Corso’s Facebook posts in the days before the murder, Fox News reported at the time of the indictment.

Panebianco is still charged with murder in the case and faces up to 25 years in prison. Corso is slated to be sentenced in September.

New Chaperone Rules Unveiled at Champaign County Fair

URBANA, Ill. – The bustling Champaign County Fair opened its gates on Saturday morning, introducing a significant change that is set to impact a substantial number of visitors.

For attendees aged 13 and above, admission is priced at $8. A noteworthy addition this year is a rule targeting fairgoers under the age of 17. In a bid to bolster safety, all individuals in this age group must be accompanied by a companion aged 18 or older, who is required to stay on the fairgrounds throughout the visit.

According to fair organizers, this newly implemented safety measure aims to ensure the well-being of young attendees.

“This not only reassures our security team and the sheriff’s department but also our fair staff,” remarked Champaign County Fair Board President Terry Lemke. “In case of any incidents, whether it’s an injury or something else, knowing the kids are with someone responsible allows us to quickly locate and inform the parents or guardians as needed.”

Guests found on the property without a chaperone may be removed from the fair. The fair will run through Saturday, Aug. 1.
