Pauline Hanson and Angus Taylor Clash Over Preference Deal Debate

0

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has urged Opposition leader Angus Taylor to refrain from undermining her party, following his assertion that their policies would “bankrupt us” and inflict “endless suffering.”

Over the past day, Hanson and Taylor have exchanged a series of criticisms, although the Liberal party head has not completely dismissed the possibility of a preference deal with One Nation in future elections.

On Thursday evening, Hanson expressed her displeasure through a video statement on social media, responding to Taylor’s earlier remarks at the Sydney Institute that day.

“Feeling quite let down,” Hanson commented in a video shared from her travels in the UK, emphasizing, “Angus, you should know I’m not your adversary.”

Taylor, on the other hand, seemed to reinforce his stance, describing One Nation’s policies as “lacking coherence.”

Taylor called One Nation ‘a column of smoke’

Speaking to Sky on Friday, Taylor responded to a question on whether he would make a preference deal with One Nation by saying that preference deals would be sorted closer to the election.

Taylor said that he’s open to “work with anyone to get rid of this Labor government”.

“But what I am saying is that One Nation doesn’t have the answers.”

“If you pick a small subset of their policy, they will add a trillion dollars of spending over 10 years — about a hundred billion dollars a year. That would drive up inflation and interest rates,” he said.

Hanson had accused Taylor of picking up policies from One Nation, including on immigration, net zero and the fuel excise.

“So on the policies that you say won’t work, it’s not the truth at all,” she said.

Hanson also called for the Opposition to work with One Nation. “The people of Australia are crying out for change,” she said.

“Listen to the people, Angus, and work with me.”

During his speech at the Sydney Institute on Thursday night, Taylor called One Nation’s team “a one-person show”.

“One Nation claims to offer a way out of our national malaise,” he said. “In reality, they would only make things worse.”

He then criticised One Nation for frequently switching positions, saying the party was “a column of smoke”.

He also said One Nation lacked government experience, while its economic policies could increase the size of the government, which Taylor claimed to be the “root cause of our economic crisis”.

“If they found their way into government, they’d learn the lesson the hard way.”

While One Nation has been rising in the polls to at one point be the most popular party by primary vote, support has slipped since Senator Hanson’s address to the National Press Club in June, where she called for Australia to be a monoculture.

Since taking over as opposition leader in February, Taylor has presided over the coalition falling to 17 per cent support in Newspoll, a historic low.

Deputy Opposition leader Jane Hume said there was still uncertainty about One Nation’s policies.

“The reason why One Nation don’t cost their policies is because they don’t want to know what the answer is. The reason why One Nation doesn’t have a plan is because they have a slogan written on the back of a napkin,” she told Seven’s Sunrise.

Meghan Plans to Bring Archie and Lilibet to the UK for a Heartwarming Family Reunion with Harry

0

In a lively display of camaraderie, Prince Harry warmly greeted TV personality Alison Hammond and engaged her in an exhilarating game of laser tag at an event in Birmingham. This occasion was initially anticipated to have the presence of Meghan Markle.

As part of his efforts to promote the Invictus Games, the Duke of Sussex also found himself in a friendly race with This Morning host Alison and his close friend JJ Chalmers. Meanwhile, reports suggest that his wife Meghan and their two children may complete the family reunion in the UK by the weekend.

Although Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet are not slated to partake in any public appearances, talks are underway about a potential meeting with King Charles.

Originally, the Duchess of Sussex intended to be by Harry’s side at the Birmingham Invictus Games event. However, due to security concerns, she decided against traveling to Britain with him earlier in the week.

On the same day when Arthur Fery took to the Wimbledon semi-finals, Harry showcased his athletic versatility by trying his hand at pickleball—a sport akin to tennis—at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in the heart of the Second City.

Meghan is now widely expected to travel to Britain with Archie and Lilibet, with some claiming they are already here, fuelling speculation that the King could finally meet his California-based grandchildren for the first time in four years.

Helen Helliwell, chief executive of Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, opened the event by saying: ‘Invictus has always been more than a week of games.’

She added: ‘It transforms lives not only for competitors but for their families.’

Harry was joined by This Morning and Great British Bake Off host Alison Hammond, who is from Birmingham, and TV presenter Ade Adepitan, who won a bronze with the GB basketball team at the 2004 Paralympics.

The duke joined a partner on court to compete against another pair in pickleball, which will make an appearance when the games are staged in Birmingham next year.

Harry was clearly enjoying himself at the ‘One Year to Go’ event, with one particularly funny moment where he went to shake hands with an opponent and pulled away his hand, sparking roars of laughter.

Harry was later joined by former defence minister Al Cairns to compete in a game of wheelchair rugby where he was seen clattering into other competitors.

He then watched on as veterans, including Mr Cairns, took part in a hybrid athletics event, where the Duke chuckled at the MP’s efforts to jump repeatedly on to a box.

The royal, who arrived in London on Monday, has not been joined in the UK by Meghan or their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet due to a row over security.

However, it was last night reported that the Duchess of Sussex and the children could be coming to the UK this weekend, although the trio are not expected to be seen at any public engagements.

If, as expected, the Sussexes make their home at Althorp, the ancestral home of Harry’s maternal family, the Spencers, for the next couple of days, it may be that a meeting with King Charles doesn’t take place until this weekend – or possibly even Monday, before His Majesty embarks on another busy week of engagements.

Highgrove, Sandringham or Windsor could be a venue, as Harry has made clear he won’t bring his family to London because he is convinced it is ‘unsafe’.

The Duke of Sussex yesterday met seriously ill children and nurses at Birmingham Children’s Hospital as his five-day trip to Britain continued.

Harry toured the wards as he marked the 20th anniversary of the hospital’s WellChild Nurse programme, having been patron of the charity for 18 years.

Harry’s visit to the UK is part of the ‘One Year to Go’ celebrations for the next Invictus Games in the city in July 2027.

On Wednesday, he was also at the Royal Hospital Chelsea for meetings about the Invictus Games Foundation, including a summit for international team managers.

They spoke about plans for the Invictus Spirit Awards in the capital this September.

While Harry was in Birmingham, other members of the Royal Family carried on with a busy series of summer engagements – with the duke’s estranged brother Prince William travelling to Hastings on Thursday to meet a fishing community as well as local youth-led and community-driven organisations.

In Birmingham yesterday, Harry was surrounded by nurses when he visited the hospital and spoke about the ‘financial difficulties’ facing the NHS.

Harry was highlighting WellChild’s specialist nursing programme, helping seriously ill children and their families transition from the hospital to their homes.

His appearance caused excitement in the hospital corridors, with one female medic receiving a hug.

Families asked for pictures and the duke posed for a group shot with around a dozen nurses, telling them: ‘Thank you for everything you do.’

Harry met two nurses funded by WellChild, which facilitates the early discharge of children by teaching their parents the skills needed to provide care at home, and met some of the young patients.

In a lighter moment the duke revealed his son’s love of toy building bricks when he shared stories with Alec Hill, 12, and his parents.

‘Do you know who’s obsessed with Lego? My son Archie – and he’s a master builder,’ said Harry.

Iran Vows Strong Retaliation as US Launches Strikes: Tensions Escalate in Middle East

0

An Iranian official has issued a stern warning, stating that the Islamic Republic is prepared to deliver a “hard slap,” while another has openly threatened the United States with retaliation, cautioning, “if you strike, you’ll get hit.” These assertions were made in Persian-language posts by the officials on the social media platform X, as revealed through automatic translations.

Ebrahim Rezaei, whose online profile identifies him as a member of Iran’s Parliament and spokesperson for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, communicated through X, “The martyred Khamenei taught us not to fear America and demonstrated that ‘falsehood will perish.’ Prepare for the hard slap from the Iranians.”

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the speaker of Iran’s Parliament, also voiced a warning, stating, “America has yet to learn that bullying and breaking promises come at a cost. To be clear: if you strike, you’ll be hit back. Don’t waste your energy floundering, or you’ll end up worse off: the Strait of Hormuz will only be navigated under ‘Iranian arrangements,’ not through American threats.”

Their warnings were posted on Wednesday following the announcement by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) of additional strikes against Iran.

“At the direction of the Commander in Chief, U.S. Central Command forces have started conducting additional strikes against Iran to further degrade their ability to threaten freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. The United States is holding Iran accountable for recent unjustified aggression against commercial shipping and civilian crews freely navigating a vital international waterway,” CENTCOM had noted in a post on X.

The U.S. military later provided more information about the attacks.

“U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces completed an additional round of strikes against Iran, July 8, to further degrade Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping and innocent civilian mariners in the Strait of Hormuz,” CENTCOM noted on Wednesday night.

“U.S. forces struck approximately 90 Iranian military targets including air defense systems, coastal surveillance assets, missile and drone storage sites, naval capabilities, and military logistics infrastructure along Iran’s coastline. The latest strikes follow successful execution of offensive strikes in Iran the night before,” the announcement noted. “CENTCOM forces hit approximately 80 Iranian military targets July 7, including more than 60 Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps small boats, to impose heavy costs for Iran violating the ceasefire by attacking three commercial vessels navigating the Strait of Hormuz.”

President Donald Trump indicated on Wednesday that, as far as he was concerned, the U.S.-Iran Memorandum of Understanding ceasefire was “over.”

Kuwait and Bahrain have both reported coming under attack.

The Kuwait Army noted in a Thursday post on X, which was written in Arabic, “The Official Spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Major General Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi, stated that the armed forces detected, at dawn today, (3) ballistic missiles, (1) cruise missile, and (10) hostile drones within Kuwaiti airspace, which were successfully intercepted and dealt with.”

Discover How Plain Yogurt Could Be Your Secret Weapon Against Aging, Reveals New Study

0

Recent research suggests that making a straightforward change to one’s lifestyle might help decelerate biological aging. This intriguing finding opens new pathways for enhancing life quality as we age.

The intriguing study was featured in the journal Aging, where scientists explored how adjusting dietary habits and incorporating a simple exercise routine could impact men aged between 50 and 74, monitored over a substantial three-month period.

To better understand this potential, researchers organized a clinical trial in Japan, focusing on 48 overweight men as participants. These individuals were closely observed to gather accurate insights into how lifestyle tweaks could affect aging processes.

During the 12-week trial, the participants were divided into two groups. Half of them rigorously adhered to a prescribed wellness regimen, while the remainder carried on with their everyday routines, serving as a control to measure the efficacy of introduced changes.

For those in the intervention group, a key component of their daily routine was the consumption of 100 grams of plain yogurt every day. This simple dietary adjustment was a central focus of the study’s examination.

This group also received individualized dietary counseling that advised them to curb overeating, avoid excessive snacking and cut out sugary drinks.

They were also instructed to walk or use a stepper machine for roughly 30 minutes a day, at least three days each week.

To measure the impact of these changes, the scientists collected blood samples from all participants before and after the study, and also analyzed DNA for chemical changes that act as indicators of cellular age.

Specifically, they used a measurement tool called DunedinPACE. Rather than assessing a person’s chronological age in years, this tool calculates the precise rate at which an individual’s body is currently aging.

The men who consumed the probiotic yogurt, adjusted their diets and exercised showed a statistically significant reduction in their pace of aging compared to the control group, the researchers said.

On average, the speed of their biological aging slowed by approximately 2.2%.

This reduction is roughly comparable to the slowing of biological aging observed in a previous two-year US study, in which participants reduced their daily calorie intake by 25%.

This reduction in aging speed happened independently of weight loss , meaning it did not directly correlate with changes in the participants’ body mass index or the exact number of exercise sessions they logged.

The researchers also recorded a noticeable improvement in a specific DNA marker that is linked to kidney function.

Because this study combined three distinct factors — probiotics, diet and exercise — the authors concluded that the anti-aging benefits cannot be attributed to any single component.

Instead, the slowed aging rate appears to be the result of a combined effect.

The researchers also acknowledged clear limitations of the study, including its small sample size and short duration. Also, the participant pool was restricted to overweight men of a single nationality.

More research is needed to determine whether these short-term biological shifts can translate into permanent, long-term health benefits, the study stated.

RHOC Premiere Drama: Heather’s Gossip Exposed, Shannon’s Tense Tamra Dynamics, and Vicki’s Exciting Comeback

RHOC Season Premiere Recap: Heather Gets Called Out for Talking Behind Tamra's Back, Shannon Navigates Her Rocky Relationship With Tamra, and Vicki Returns

Celebrations are in order as we mark two decades in Orange County. From 2006 to 2026, though times have evolved, the original cast members of The Real Housewives of Orange County are back in action, creating the drama we’ve come to expect. A stroll down memory lane reveals that Vicki, embodying her self-proclaimed title as the OG, still knows how to “whoop it up.” However, the friendship between Heather and Tamra hits a snag when Heather is accused of gossiping behind Tamra’s back. Where does this leave their relationship?

Shannon welcomes Vicki on a picturesque Mexican beach, where they discuss her stress-free lifestyle. Vicki appears more at ease and joyful, claiming a significant transformation since she last graced the show. Her four-year relationship with Michael seems to be thriving, while Shannon’s home now bustles with dogs, filling the void left by her daughters.

For Vicki, work has been a constant companion, albeit one she cannot continue to rely on indefinitely. Although Shannon and Vicki’s meet-ups are less frequent, they have rekindled their bond as the dos amigas, reminiscing about old times and rekindling their unique friendship.

Heather hosts Tamra and Gina at a scarf dying class, something she no doubt saw on TikTok and got #influenced. Gina is “in her engagement era” rocking her fake “prototype” ring. Heather speaks to her briefly about hosting the upcoming hearts and heels party, but when Tamra enters, the mood changes.

Gina gets right to it.  She boldly asks Tamra if she is “here today to burn it down,” a dig at a quote Tamra said on a podcast during her angriest time. Kudos to Gina for confronting Tamra on the things she says.  Gina does not want Tamra to feel like no one was there for her, but Tamra reminds her that everyone took a group picture at the reunion and left her out. Heather points out that she invited Tamra to dinner after the reunion, but Tamra feels as though Heather’s actions are not the same as her words.

Heather is annoyed because Tamra lumped her into a group of apparent “sh*tty friends” and she does not believe she deserves that label.  But, something has to change, especially with Tamra and Shannon.  While filming for the Ultimate Trip, there was a sit-down dinner at none other than The Quiet Woman.

Shannon thinks that Tamra was trying to stir the pot when she told Shannon, “you can’t get a man and you don’t even own a house.” Heather calls the situation embarrassing and lets Tamra know there was a lot of talk. Tamra admits that she has a problem with Shannon, especially because of the videos Shannon has been putting out on TikTok. How will Tamra handle seeing Shannon now that some time has passed?

Over in Puerto Vallarta, Vicki admits to struggling with a knee injury. That doesn’t stop her from heading to Andale’s, a RHOC destination that Vicki claims she put on the map. Vicki’s love tank is full with Mike, but she is in for a real treat once she gets reunited with the ladies back in the OC.

Jen and Emily meet for dinner. They are the unlikely friend duo no one ever saw coming. Emily talks about how she is taking care of herself and how her son, Luke, is still going through it.  He has since been to a P.A.N.D.A.S. expert and is in a new school, but it’s been hard.  Jen understands how raising older kids can be difficult.  Her son, Greyson, got pulled over for speeding, which is totally out of character for him! Emily admits that Heather and Shannon have been good friends to get advice about kids.

Speaking of Shannon, she is still unsure where she is going with Tamra. Vicki understands that Tamra can be difficult, in fact she stopped talking to her for a year and a half. Vicki has since made up with Tamra and so she refuses to get into the weeds with Shannon.

Emily is unsure why Tamra is p*ssed at HER, but nothing seems like it makes sense these days. Take for instance the “friendship” between Tamra and Heather.  It seems to Jen that Heather does not have a boundary with Tamra, due to their history. But Jen thinks that it’s odd that Heather led the charge of all the negative talk about Tamra during the post-reunion dinner (which Tamra did not attend), yet was the first to call and check on Tamra the next day. Hello, two-faced-Heather?

The kids of the OC seem to be doing alright.  Tamra’s daughter is moving out to her own apartment, Emily’s daughter is staying true to her “raised-by-wolves” character, and Shannon’s daughters are thriving, nowhere geographically located near Shannon.  But don’t worry, Shannon’s hands are full with dogs and she is very happy.

To get a Mexican residency, you have to be patient and Vicki can’t leave Mexico until she gets it.  And so, it is a big fat question mark if she will be able to attend Heather’s upcoming Valentine’s Day party.

According to Gina, the Gated Group has been booming and Gina is thrilled to be entering a good time in her life, something that is very new to her. Gina talks about her engagement to Travis in Big Bear. It was a big surprise, considering there is so much going on with Travis and his divorce situation. Gina talks to her mother about changing her name and shares that Travis wants Gina to take his last name. Gina’s kids have been her constant and so she wants to stay connected with them and share that name with them, plus making her current name hyphenated is just waaaay too many letters.

Heather is very happy that her mother has since moved closer now that she is almost 84. Heather’s mom has really missed out on a lot for the kids and it is a bone of contention between the mother-daughter duo.

It’s the day of Heather’s Valentine’s party.  Tamra promises that she will not react as she normally would (same old story) and Heather is thrilled to see the $75,000 to decorate the space has truly paid off.

Emily explains that Jen brought a new friend, Carmella, to dinner the other night.  Carmella and Jen have used the same hairdresser for years and she used to be a Play Mate!

Tamra hardly recognizes Emily because she is super skinny now, but according to Emily, Tamra remains the same old version lacking accountability. The group jokes about Gina getting married before Jen and Carmella makes her “new girl” entrance.

Heather is not thrilled with Vicki as of late, since she has made some comments that they inherited everything they have.  Therefore, Heather is not dying for Vicki to make it out of Mexico in time to attend the party.

Heather’s son, Nicky, acts as the mc, making cheesy jokes…just like his father.  Carmella feels as though this party is giving early 2000’s Playboy energy, which would absolutely crush Heather.

It is one thing after another for Vicki. Not only does she have a knee injury, but she also just had a cyst removed, so you know she is hooting and hollering. She ultimately makes it to Heather’s event because she got a Mexican exit pass. Vicki meets Carmella, and she jokes about being “Queen Victoria.”

Heather makes a speech (of course) about celebrating friendship, especially “historical friends.” It seems like everyone is annoyed that Heather is not being honest about how she feels about Tamra.  When the group is alone without Tamra, Heather bashes Tamra, but it’s a different story when they are together. Gina and Jen feel like Shannon should speak up about this.

Gina lets Heather know that Shannon is upset with her because she feels like Heather is not completely honest about her friendship with Tamra. Heather admits that she does not agree with everything that Tamra does, but that does not mean she is turning her back on Tamra.

In the meantime, Tamra lets Vicki know that Gina and Heather were basically wondering why they are friends again. As Heather walks past Vicki, she lets her know that none of their money was inherited, in fact, both of their mothers are alive, so how could that work? They jokingly fight and we learn that Terry worked at Kentucky Friend Chicken before he became Mr. Fancy Pants.

Tamra does not think that this venue is the place to address her issues with Shannon, but Jen is ready to stir the pot.  She lets Tamra know that Heather has said she compartmentalizes her friendship with Tamra.  This takes Tamra back, but she does not flip out fully, which is growth.

When Heather makes her way over, Tamra backs away, because she has learned that Heather talks behind her back.  Jen tells Heather what transpired and Gina realizes that “Jen is stepping in sh*t right now.” Heather is annoyed because there was forward motion with Tamra and now they are going three steps back.  Can this group’s fractured friendships ever get repaired?

Forensic Expert Links Bullets in Charlie Kirk Case to Suspect’s Rifle

0

A significant development has emerged in the investigation into the murder of Charlie Kirk, with revelations concerning bullet fragments from the crime scene captivating public attention on Thursday.

In a court session, a federal firearms specialist testified that she could not conclusively determine whether the bullets in question had been fired from the rifle allegedly used by Tyler Robinson, according to prosecutors.

This testimony follows weeks of intense speculation, spurred by court documents indicating that the ballistics evidence might weaken the prosecution’s case against the 23-year-old defendant.

Robinson stands accused of killing Kirk while he was speaking to attendees at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.

On Thursday, the ballistics expert emphasized that her analysis did not exclude the rifle as the weapon used; however, the findings were not definitive either.

‘My conclusion is inconclusive… I am unable to say one way or another,’ Samantha Karner, from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), testified under questioning from Robinson’s attorneys.

Karner appeared during a preliminary hearing that will determine whether Robinson will stand trial on an aggravated murder charge. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

The defense has repeatedly pointed to the ATF’s ballistics findings in an effort to challenge the strength of the state’s case.

Earlier this year, Robinson’s attorneys cited an ATF report that stated investigators were unable to identify a bullet jacket fragment recovered during Kirk’s autopsy as having been fired by the rifle recovered by authorities.

That filing prompted widespread claims online the bullet ‘did not match’ the suspected murder weapon.

Karner’s testimony, however, emphasized that the examination simply could not reach a definitive conclusion.

Defense attorney Michael Burt pressed the firearms examiner over whether investigators could exclude the recovered rifle as the weapon that fired the fatal shot.

‘Saying anything but inconclusive was inappropriate,’ Karner replied.

Firearms experts have previously said an inconclusive finding is not unusual, particularly when only damaged bullet fragments are available for examination.

According to experts interviewed by PolitiFact, microscopic markings left on bullets can be too distorted after impact to allow examiners to definitively identify, or eliminate, a particular firearm.

Christopher Ballard, a spokesperson for the Utah County Attorney’s Office and a member of the prosecution team, previously said an inconclusive finding ‘does not mean that the rifle did not fire the bullet.’

‘There just aren’t enough marks on the fragment to make a conclusion one way or the other as to whether the bullet fragment was fired by the particular rifle,’ Ballard said.

How much should uncertain forensic evidence influence a potential death penalty case?

Stephanie Walcott, an assistant professor in the Department of Forensic Science at Virginia Commonwealth University, also said it would be ‘extremely misleading’ to interpret an inconclusive finding as proof the rifle was not involved.

The ballistics evidence represents only one part of the state’s case against Robinson.

Prosecutors allege Robinson stole his grandfather’s rifle and engraved taunting slogans onto ammunition before the shooting, traveled to Utah Valley University and fired the fatal shot from a rooftop overlooking Kirk’s event.

Authorities contend Robinson wrapped the rifle in a towel before hiding it in a wooded area near campus, later attempting to retrieve it.

Investigators say Robinson’s DNA was recovered from the rifle’s trigger, other parts of the firearm, the fired cartridge casing, two unfired rounds and the towel used to conceal the weapon.

Earlier on Thursday, jurors-in-waiting heard additional evidence that prosecutors say further ties Robinson to the killing.

Video of Robinson’s roommate and former romantic partner, Lance Twiggs, was played in court after a lengthy legal fight over whether portions should remain sealed.

Twiggs, who received limited immunity for his statements, told investigators Robinson broke down in tears inside their southern Utah apartment the day after the shooting.

According to Twiggs, Robinson said he ‘wishes he hadn’t done it.’

Investigators also revealed that roughly an hour before surrendering to authorities, Robinson allegedly posted a message in a Discord chat room reading: ‘it was me at UVU yesterday.’

Prosecutors further allege Robinson left a handwritten note for Twiggs stating: ‘I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk, and I took it.’

The note continued: ‘I wish we could have lived in a world where this did not feel necessary.’

Additional text messages shown in court allegedly captured Robinson worrying about fingerprints being left on his grandfather’s rifle and discussing ammunition engraved with messages including ‘Hey Fascist! CATCH!’ and ‘If you Read This, You Are GAY.’

Twiggs also testified that weeks before the shooting Robinson had asked to borrow a Dremel tool to engrave shell casings.

At the time, Twiggs believed Robinson intended to decorate ammunition for an upcoming hunting trip.

Kirk’s widow, Erika, had urged the court to release Twiggs’ interview in full, arguing that withholding portions would only fuel conspiracy theories surrounding her husband’s death.

‘[Redacting the video] suggests to the public that something else is in there, that something else lurks in there that isn’t,’ her attorney, Jeffrey Neiman, argued.

Judge Tony Graf ultimately permitted a partially redacted version of the interview to be played publicly.

Graf is expected to decide after further arguments on September 1 whether prosecutors have presented sufficient evidence to send Robinson to trial.

Kirk, a close ally of President Donald Trump and founder of Turning Point USA, was 31 when he was shot once in the neck while taking questions from thousands gathered at Utah Valley University.

Robinson has not entered a plea, and his attorneys have not publicly commented on his guilt or innocence.

They have, however, challenged key pieces of the prosecution’s forensic evidence and unsuccessfully sought to remove the death penalty from the case.

Before establishing his firm, Jeffrey Neiman carved out a notable career over a decade-long tenure with the U.S. Department of Justice. His assignments took him from Washington, D.C. to Miami, where he was actively involved in the Tax and Criminal Divisions. During this time, he spearheaded investigations and prosecutions focused on tax evasion, money laundering, public corruption, and several forms of fraud, including securities and healthcare fraud. His efforts in the monumental prosecution of UBS AG, Switzerland’s largest and oldest bank, earned him recognition from the Attorney General.

Transitioning to private practice in 2011, Neiman achieved remarkable successes both in the courtroom and through strategic negotiations. Jeffrey Neiman Age

Born in 1976, attorney Jeffrey A. Neiman has established himself as both a legal expert and a respected advocate for his clients in complex legal matters.

Charlie Kirk Family Lawyer

Jeffrey Neiman is the attorney for the family of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk in the Utah prosecution of Tyler Robinson. Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, a conservative nonprofit, was shot and killed while speaking at Utah Valley University in September 2025.

Neiman was granted a motion to practice pro hac vice as Erika Kirk’s victim representative in April 2026, according to the Daily Business Review. The South Florida attorney told the publication that Kirk was more than just a client.

“Charlie Kirk was my client and my friend. When Erika called, there was no question I would be there,” Neiman said in an emailed statement to the Daily Business Review. “My only focus now is making sure her voice is heard and her rights are protected through every step of this process.”

During a preliminary hearing for defendant Tyler Robinson, attorney Neiman urged State District Judge Tony Graf to make an interview of Tyler Robinson’s roommate and romantic partner, Lance Twiggs, with law enforcement and other evidence public.

“To not be transparent, to not be open and let the world see what happened will create doubt and distrust in the judicial system,” Kirk family lawyer Jeffrey Neiman told Judge Graf.

Jeffrey Neiman Attorney Logan Paul

Attorney Jeffrey Neiman represented internet personality Logan Paul in the legal battle over the failed NFT project CryptoZoo. A U.S. magistrate judge dismissed the class-action lawsuit against Paul. The lawsuit had accused Paul and other defendants of fraud, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and conspiracy to commit fraud. The judge found insufficient evidence directly tying Paul to the alleged misconduct, noting that the plaintiffs “failed to justify” his inclusion as a defendant.

Attorney Neiman celebrated the ruling in a LinkedIn post, writing that “telling Logan Paul, thirty minutes after his fairytale wedding, that a magistrate judge recommended a complete dismissal of a class action lawsuit we’d been fighting for over a year was an unforgettable moment. The order came down as he was walking down the aisle—it felt like it was meant to be!”

Local Wildlife Tests Positive for Initial Bird Flu Case

For the first time, Australia’s wildlife has seen the emergence of the H5 strain of bird flu in a local seabird.

Previously, bird flu cases recorded in Australia were limited to migratory birds arriving from the sub-Antarctic regions.

Agriculture Minister Julie Collins announced that laboratory results verified the presence of this strain in a seabird in Robe, located in south-eastern South Australia.

Additionally, two more cases have been identified in South Australia and one in Western Australia, raising the total number of confirmed instances to 12.

Minister Collins reassured the public by stating there is currently no significant wildlife mortality linked to this virus, nor has there been any indication of it spreading to farm environments.

“While this, of course, is a concerning development, it is not unexpected and is another sign that our strong biosecurity system is working,” Collins said at a press conference on Friday.

“The South Australian Government, who is leading the response on the ground in South Australia, is implementing enhanced surveillance in the area where this bird was found. This will help to establish if there has been further spread of the H5 bird flu.”

The bird in question is a greater crested tern that shared an overlapping coastal range with those migratory seabird species that have previously tested positive for H5.

Another suspected positive in Western Australia is undergoing testing.

“There is no evidence currently of any infection in our poultry or agricultural system and there remains a low risk to human health,” Collins said.

The South Australian government is leading an enhanced surveillance operation around Robe, about 340km southeast of Adelaide, to check for any further spread, while federal experts — including Australia’s chief veterinary officer — continue to monitor the situation.

Officials are urging people not to touch sick or dead birds or wildlife, to keep pets away, and to report unusual bird deaths or behaviour to the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888.

Australia prepares for ‘devastating’ impact

Experts have warned Australia must be prepared for the potential “devastating” impact on local wildlife.

”It’s extremely nerve‑wracking,” Dr Carol Booth from the Invasive Species Council told the Australian Associated Press news agency.

“We really need to be prepared for what could be a really devastating time ahead of us,” she said.

The virus was first detected on the Australian mainland on 14 June in a brown skua found at Esperance on Western Australia’s south coast.

Booth said the virus was so versatile it could spread through close contact, contaminated water and even inanimate objects.

It can also jump from birds to scavenging and predatory animals, such as cats, dogs, foxes, raptors and even Tasmanian devils.

Overseas, the H5 virus has ripped through wildlife.

In South America it has been associated with the deaths of tens of thousands of sea lions and southern elephant seals.

”Once it spreads into wildlife, there is probably no hope of containing it,” Booth said.

”Some of our wildlife is so precious and vulnerable that they could be wiped out.”

She warned that colonial seabirds and wetland birds, sea lions and seals, scavengers such as raptors, and very rare species such as the orange‑bellied parrot — with fewer than 100 left in the wild — are especially at risk.

Environment groups and scientists are urging the Albanese government to back a major wildlife resilience package, arguing that surveillance alone will not be enough if H5 becomes established in wildlife.

”The best thing we can do for wildlife is to reduce other threats now so they have the best chance of surviving and recovering from disease outbreaks,” Booth said.

That includes controlling invasive cats and foxes that prey on susceptible native animals, eradicating invasive species from islands, and restoring wetlands to strengthen habitats for aquatic birds.
