Jesy Nelson Reflects on Emotional Journey with Twins in Neonatal Intensive Care, Shares Heartfelt Photo

Jesy Nelson has emotionally recounted her challenging experience in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), sharing an adorable new photo of her newborn twin daughters.

Following a high-risk pregnancy, Jesy and her partner Zion Foster joyfully announced the safe arrival of their twin girls at 31 weeks. In an Instagram post shared earlier this month, they introduced Ocean Jade and Story Monroe to the world.

The former Little Mix singer, 33, expressed feelings of fear and being overwhelmed as she navigates the NICU journey with her daughters.

She wrote candidly: “Nothing or no one can ever truly prepare you as a parent for the realities of NICU.”

“It’s an incredibly scary and overwhelming mix of emotions, feeling like you’re unable to protect your babies,” she continued.

‘Naturally as a mother you just want to hold them and comfort them when they cry but you can’t because there are what feels like a million wires coming out of them and tubes and masks in the way with people poking and prodding them it breaks your heart into a million pieces.

‘But slowly as the days go by and they get stronger and wires start to come away, moments like this feel like a dream.

‘Having them reunited for the first time ever today was the most magical feeling I will never be able to describe. The strongest little girls I’ve ever known who really do have the most inspiring story to tell’.

Several fans were quick to take to the comments to send their well wishes and to tell Jesy she is ‘so brave and strong’.

They wrote: ‘Such strong girls ❤️ All 3 of you!❤️ Sending love and strength to you four xxx; forever proud of you my darling. the most strongest & precious little angels;

‘You’re so brave and strong. Sending all the love in the world your way. I’m so happy for you; Everyday that goes past you all get stronger and stronger. Everyone is so proud of you and your babies’.

Jesy has seemingly made a sweet nod to her former Little Mix bandmate when she revealed the unique names of her newborn twin daughters.

The singer took to social media, three days after giving birth prematurely, to reveal that her girls names were Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster.

However, while it was assumed that the name ‘Jade’ was in tribute to Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall, it appears that this isn’t the case.

In fact, the truth behind the name is much closer to home, with Jesy actually naming her daughter after her older sister Jade, whom she is really close to.

A source told The Mirror of the moniker: ‘The names which have been chosen they came up with during their long stay in hospital over the last two months as they waited for the twins to grow bigger before they were born.

‘Jade was always going to be a middle name as Jesy is very close to her sister. It is a nod to her sister rather than anything else.’

Meanwhile, the publication confirmed that Jesy, partner Zion Foster and their baby girls were still in hospital following the birth and may be there for some time yet.

They shared: ‘They will definitely be in hospital a little longer yet but are just enjoying spending time with their babies. Jesy and Zion are so happy and thrilled the twins are here and have arrived safe and well.’

MailOnline have contacted representatives of Jesy for comment.

Jesy had been in hospital since late March after being diagnosed with twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) – a rare condition that can put one or both babies at risk.

But she confirmed both girls were safe and well after taking to Instagram days after giving birth early.

Jesy revealed her babies’ adorable names to her 9.7million fans alongside sharing two sweet pictures of the couple cradling the newborns.

She wrote: ‘So… Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31 weeks plus 5 days. It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We’ve never felt more in love.

‘Everybody meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster.’

The name Ocean, derived from the Greek word keanós, is often associated with power and mystery, but can also be seen as a symbol of new beginnings and hope.

The couple paired Ocean with middle name Jade – also the name of one of her former band mates – which at the time was seen as a potential olive branch to her former friend.

Jesy famously quit and distanced herself from Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock after she quit Little Mix in 2020.

Her choice of name for her second daughter Story draws a connection with creativity, imagination and adventure. It’s derived from Old Norse storr, meaning ‘large’ or ‘big’.

Her middle name Monroe is of Scottish and Irish Gaelic origin and is a gender-neutral name, meaning mouth of the River Roe, referring to a specific river in Northern Ireland. There’s also an edge of Hollywood glamour to it as Marilyn Monroe is naturally attached to the name.

In March, Jesy had to undergo an emergency procedure after suffering complications and was advised to remain in hospital until she was at least 32 weeks into her pregnancy.

Throughout the ordeal, Zion admitted he and Jesy, who was seven months pregnant at the time of her procedure, had ‘grown to understand each other on a deeper level’.

He told OK!: ‘I think it’s at these times when you really, really know what love you have and what your relationship means.

‘And I think for me and Jess, this has just taken it to a whole other level of us knowing we are literally made for each other.’

He said the couple had also tried to make the hospital as much of a home as possible.

‘There’s a couch that turns into a bed that we pushed next to the hospital bed, so we’ve made our own double bed.

‘And it’s like we’ve moved in. The nurses just said, “Oh, my God. It looks so nice in here. It looks so homely”.’

The couple revealed Nelson’s TTTS diagnosis in March.

Nelson later broke down in tears while revealing she needed surgery because her symptoms had worsened.

She explained: ‘Unfortunately, the symptoms have got worse so they now have to perform the procedure, which is obviously not what we wanted to happen but it’s necessary because it’s going to give our babies the best chance of surviving.

‘So we’re just waiting to go in and we’re just hoping and praying for the best really.

‘I feel absolutely gutted because I was really hoping we wouldn’t be in this position.

‘It’s obviously really scary because there’s so many things that can happen. Pray for us, please.’

Asma Khalil, Professor of Obstetrics and Maternal Fetal Medicine at St George’s Hospital, University of London, recommends that families facing a similar situation to Nelson and her partner contact the charity, Twins Trust, for resources and support.

She said: ‘TTTS is a rare but life-threatening condition that affects 10 to 15% of identical twins that share a placenta (monochorionic twins).’

WHAT IS TWIN-TWIN TRANSFUSION SYNDROME?

Twin-twin transfusion syndrome is a rare but serious condition that can occur in identical pregnancies when twins share a placenta.

Abnormal blood vessel connections form in the placenta and prevent blood from flowing evenly between the babies.

One twin then becomes dehydrated, which affects its growth.

The other develops high blood pressure and produces too much urine.

This leads to an enlarged bladder and excessive amounts of amniotic fluid, which can put a strain on the twin’s heart, leading to heart failure.

Without treatment, TTTS can be fatal for both twins.

The condition occurs in about around 15 per cent of identical twins who share a placenta, according to the charity Twins Trust.

Around 300 twins die from the condition every year in the UK, while 6,000 babies are affected annually in the US.

Draining excess amniotic fluid can help to improve blood flow.

If this is not enough, laser surgery is used to seal shut abnormal blood vessels and permanently disconnect them.

The surgeon then drains excess fluid.

Even when treated successfully, most TTTS babies are born premature.

However, the majority go on to have long, healthy lives.

Parents Arrested as Tragic Twist Unfolds in Missing Javeayah Harris Case

Authorities in South Carolina have confirmed the arrest of the parents of 4-year-old Javeayah Harris, who is believed to be dead. This development comes as the heartbreaking investigation unfolds.

Aiken County Sheriff Marty Sawyer Jr. revealed this somber update on July 4. He noted that investigators now suspect Javeayah passed away before being reported missing on June 30.

“We utilized every resource at our disposal to locate Javeayah and hoped to bring her back safely,” Sawyer stated. “Tragically, it seems our efforts were already in vain by the time the 911 call was placed on June 30th. Current findings indicate she has been deceased for at least one month.”

In addition, Sawyer announced the arrests of Javeayah’s parents, 23-year-old Johmarea Harris and 22-year-old Michilae Herring, both of whom face charges of homicide by child abuse. Herring is also charged with filing a false report.

Sawyer expressed the gravity of the situation, stating, “This is the most difficult announcement I’ve had to make in my 36 years of law enforcement service. It grieves me to inform you that our investigation and evidence suggest that Javeayah Harris, just four years old, is no longer with us. It’s the dreaded reality we confront, but we shall face it together as a strong community. Our commitment to the search for Javeayah continues.”

What Happened to Javeayah Harris?

The investigation began June 30 after Javeayah’s mom called 911 to report that the 4-year-old disappeared while playing near the family’s chicken coop at their Aiken home, according to The Augusta Press.

Authorities were told the Javeayah—described by the sheriff’s office as “smart, talkative, and friendly”—was last seen wearing a pair of Crocs and Minnie Mouse pajamas.

In the days that followed, a massive search effort was launched to try to find the girl. Multiple law enforcement agencies and other first responders joined together to search more than 5,000 acres, according to the sheriff’s office, using helicopters, drones and ground searches.

“We have trained emergency management personnel and law enforcement officers,” the sheriff’s office noted at the time, “who have blanketed the area using proven search and rescue techniques and are not accepting volunteers.”

Yet, the direction of the investigation changed course on July 4, when Sawyer announced that evidence led investigators to now believe that Javeayah died weeks before she was ever reported missing.

Authorities have not provided any information about what led them to draw that conclusion.

The sheriff’s office has said they remain committed to finding Javeayah.

Neighbor Says Others Had Tried to Care For Javeayah Harris

Before law enforcement authorities made the announcement, one of the family’s neighbors, identified only as Ms. Young, told WYFF that something seemed off about the story that the little girl would have just wandered away from home.

“She won’t cross the street; she likes to hold people’s hands,” Ms. Young explained. “Even when she walked to the refrigerator, she still wanted to hold your hand.”

She added that other neighbors in the area had allegedly helped care for the girl after raising concerns about her wellbeing at home.

“They fed her, bathed her, and gave her new clothes and sent her back home,” she told the outlet. “It wasn’t just me; people in that neighborhood noticed the exact same thing.”

Javeayah’s mother reportedly gave birth to another child July 1. The sheriff’s office announced July 4 that the newborn had been placed in the care of other family members, The Augusta Press reported.

Both of Javeayah’s parents were denied bond July 5, WYFF reported. Its unclear whether either has retained an attorney.

Oxygen reached out to the county’s public defender but did not receive an immediate response.

Belgium Coach’s Surprising Message to Folarin Balogun Following World Cup Red Card Incident

0

Following Belgium’s decisive 4-1 victory over the United States in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 16, Belgium’s head coach Rudi Garcia and American forward Folarin Balogun addressed any lingering tensions between them.

In the post-match press conference, Garcia was open about their discussion, noting that he harbored no ill feelings towards Balogun after FIFA controversially lifted his one-game red-card suspension.

“He approached me for a chat, and I appreciated that gesture,” Garcia remarked in French with the aid of an interpreter after the match took place in Seattle.

“It is not his fault; he is not the one to blame — and that’s what I told him. I really appreciate the intention that he came to see me. I appreciate this player.”

Their conversation came after Balogun’s reinstatement created a spectacle — and Garcia compared it to April Fools’ Day at his pre-match press conference.

FIFA announced Sunday that Balogun’s one-match ban — after he received a red card in the Americans’ win over Bosnia in the Round of 32— had been suspended for a year.

The decision came after President Donald Trump called FIFA president Gianni Infantino to request a review of the play where Balogun hit Bosnia defender Tarik Muharemovic from behind in the 61st minute.

Belgium was granted the right to appeal FIFA’s decision to suspend Balogun’s one-game ban, but he was still cleared to play.

The ninth-ranked Belgium squad is unbeaten in its last 18 matches after its victory over the U.S.

Belgium faces Spain on Friday in Inglewood, Calif. in the quarterfinals.

Discover 5 Hulu TV Shows That Outshine The Bear in Quality and Entertainment

As curtains close on June 25, 2026, Hulu’s series “The Bear” bids farewell to its fans. In the parlance of the restaurant world, Christopher Storer’s gripping kitchen dramedy is officially “86ed.” Renowned for five seasons, the show follows Jeremy Allen White’s portrayal of Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, a high-end chef who returns to his Chicago roots after the death of his brother Mikey, brought to life by Jon Bernthal. He shoulders the burden of reviving the family’s ailing sandwich shop. Alongside an eclectic group — including sous chef Sydney Adamu (Ayo Edebiri), Mikey’s old friend Richie Jerimovitch (Ebon Moss-Bacharach), sister Natalie (Abby Elliott), faithful line cook Tina Marrero (Liza Colón-Zayas), and close family friend Neil Fak (Matty Matheson) — they aspire to transform The Original Beef of Chicagoland into a revered fine-dining establishment aptly named “The Bear.”

A cultural phenomenon, “The Bear” injected terms like “Yes, chef” and “Hands” into broader vernacular, captivating viewers with its taut narratives, meticulous editing — most notably the acclaimed one-take episode from the first season — and outstanding performances underscored by carefully curated soundtracks. These elements earned the series a host of accolades, including multiple Emmy Awards for White, Edebiri, and Moss-Bacharach, plus the coveted outstanding comedy series prize in 2023. One might wonder, then, if anything could surpass the brilliance of “The Bear.”

The answer is a resounding yes. For those just off a “The Bear” binge, eager for new viewing adventures, Hulu offers at least five other series that arguably surpass Storer’s widely talked-about creation. These shows deftly balance humor and drama, presenting fresher, more compelling options worth adding to any watchlist.

PEN15

Among these standout series, “PEN15” emerges as a peculiar yet brilliant choice. Created by Maya Erskine, Anna Konkle, and Sam Zvibleman with production support from The Lonely Island, “PEN15” is gloriously bizarre — an attribute that stands as a testament to its ingenuity. Erskine and Konkle boldly embody themselves as awkward seventh-graders, Maya Ishii-Peters and Anna Kone, respectively — navigating the cringe-worthy yet formative moments of adolescence. For those who navigated the early 2000s, the show strikes a nostalgic chord, capturing the era’s distinctive charm with impeccable props, such as the playful home phones adored by teenagers then.

In less adept hands, “PEN15” might have descended into mere gimmickry. However, Erskine and Konkle, equipped with faux braces, questionable haircuts, and ill-fitting school uniforms, convey the universal struggle of being an outsider during the most awkward of years. The series masterfully delivers humor through surreal “kissing” scenes with adult actors cleverly edited to replace younger characters, alongside awkward life lessons for Maya and Anna. “PEN15” doesn’t just reflect childhood; it resurrects the past in all its glorious, awkward authenticity, offering viewers a potent mix of nostalgia and hilarity.

Reservation Dogs

Created by Sterlin Harjo and Taika Waititi, “Reservation Dogs” is a landmark series for a handful of reasons — but most importantly, the entire cast is made up of Native American actors, and the vast majority of the directors and crew also hail from Native American tribes and lands. This is so important for a show like “Reservation Dogs” because this is a story that can only be told by someone who has authentically lived it — specifically, a story about a group of teenagers who want to embrace their heritage while also living outside of the Oklahoma reservation they feel has confined their lifes thus far.

“Reservation Dogs” focuses on a group of four Native American teenagers — the responsible and upright Elora Danan Postoak (Devery Jacobs), fatherless Bear Smallhill (D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai), mischievous Chester “Cheese” Williams (Lane Factor), and Two-spirited Wilhelmina Jacqueline “Willie Jack” Sampson (Paulina Alexis) — but also features a massive ensemble cast that includes Native American actors Zahn McClarnon, Dallas Goldtooth, and Elva Guerra. (The guest cast of this series also boasts incredible names like Lily Gladstone, Amber Midthunder, and even Megan Mullally, just to name a few.) Across just three seasons, “Reservation Dogs” brings you into the lives of these four teenagers and lets you experience all of their trials and tribulations … and it’s genuinely amazing from beginning to end.

Difficult People

From 2015 to 2017, Hulu was the exclusive home to two of the worst people in the history of streaming … and they were just delightful to watch. Created by star Julie Klausner, “Difficult People,” an acidic and straight-up bitter comedy produced by Amy Poehler, introduces audiences to Billy Epstein (Billy Eichner) and Julie Kessler (Klausner), two best friends who wander around New York City, get into shenanigans, and utter tons of unprompted, out-of-context, and hysterically mean evaluations of pop culture. (At one point, the two are attending a show and Julie says, out of nowhere, “Isn’t it funny how Jimmy Fallon slowly turned The Tonight Show into a children’s birthday party?” This never comes up again, but it’s unbelievably funny.)

With comedy legends like Andrea Martin on hand as Julie’s controlling mother Marilyn, then-newcomers like Cole Escola providing insane one-liners during all of their scenes as one of Billy’s restaurant coworkers (years before Escola won a well-deserved Tony for originating the role of Mary Todd Lincoln in their original farce “Oh Mary!”), and character actor and Swiss army knife of a performer James Urbaniak as Julie’s boyfriend, the main cast of “Difficult People” is stacked. That’s to say nothing of supporting players like Gabourey Sidibe, Shannon DeVido, and Derrick Baskin and guest stars like Seth Meyers, Nathan Lane, Kate McKinnon, and John Mulaney, just to name a few. If you’ve never watched “Difficult People,” this underrated gem is uncomfortable but amazing … and a lot funnier than “The Bear.”

The Lowdown

Yes, there are two Sterlin Harjo shows on this list — but you know what? Not only does he work with Hulu a lot, this guy is just really good at making television. After “Reservation Dogs” ended in 2023, Harjo returned to the streamer with “The Lowdown” in 2025, bringing Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke to the small screen in a story that’s very loosely inspired by the wonderful misadventures of writer and historian Lee Roy Chapman.

Hawke stars as Lee Raybon, a man in Tulsa, Oklahoma who works as a book seller and amateur historian (he calls himself a “truthstorian”) who takes a huge risk by publishing a big exposé on a local powerful family called the Washburgs. When the patriarch, Dale Washburg (Tim Blake Nelson), dies under strange circumstances, Lee finds himself drawn into a mystery bigger than he ever dreamed alongside his friend, private investigator Marty Brunner (Keith David), who’s working for the Washburgs and trying to uncover the truth.

Hawke is endlessly charming as the endlessly curious, impulsive, and hilarious Lee, and he and David are joined by fellow industry veterans and legends like Jeanne Tripplehorn, Tracy Letts, and Michael Hitchcock. (Plus, for “Reservation Dogs” fans, some of those performers show up in guest roles … as does four-time Emmy winner and “Game of Thrones” alum Peter Dinklage.) “The Lowdown” is fresh, funny, and gripping, and it blends comedy and drama in a way that “The Bear” could never manage.

Ramy

Ramy Youssef is one of Hollywood’s most promising performers, having proven himself as a phenomenal stand-up comedian and actor throughout the years — and if you haven’t seen his eponymous Hulu show “Ramy,” you’re in for a treat. Created by Youssef alongside his collaborators Ari Katcher and Ryan Welch, “Ramy” takes place in New Jersey and stars Youssef as, you guessed it, a guy named Ramy Hassan … but more specifically, it focuses on Ramy’s life as a first-generation Muslim-American living in a neighborhood and world split by strict political lines. Ramy frequently seeks advice and counsel from his sister Dena (“Moon Knight” star May Calamawy) and bristles against the strict rules set by his parents, Egyptian immigrants Farouk and Maysa (Amr Waked and “Succession” player Hiam Abbess).

As Ramy struggles with dating, American social norms that clash with those of his family, and the rediscovery of his own personal faith, the larger series takes a searing look at how welcoming and unwelcoming America can be to anyone deemed “different” — and how first-generation “kids” like Ramy have to carefully figure out the best way to assimilate that will keep their families and society at large happy. “Ramy,” like many of the other shows on this list, strikes a perfect balance between comedy and drama … which is, again, something “The Bear” struggled with for its entire run.

All of these shows, including “The Bear,” are streaming on Hulu now.

Unraveling the Mystery: Rise in Explosive Diarrhea Cases Linked to Elusive Parasite

0

(NewsNation) — A mysterious parasitic ailment has been steadily spreading across more than a dozen U.S. states, leaving health officials perplexed as they race to identify its origin. The illness is causing symptoms so severe that some patients experience what is described as “explosive” diarrhea.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was first alerted to significant outbreaks of cyclosporiasis back in early May. According to the CDC’s most recent update, which was published on July 1, there were 145 reported cases extending over 17 states.

However, as of this past Monday, the impact of the illness has widened, now affecting at least 18 states. Illinois, Michigan, New York, and Texas are bearing the brunt, reporting the highest numbers of cases thus far.

The situation is particularly concerning in Michigan, where health authorities have confirmed 572 instances of cyclosporiasis as of July 4. In New York, the count has surpassed 100 cases. Unfortunately, specific figures for Illinois and Texas remain undisclosed. It’s likely these numbers don’t capture the full extent of the outbreak, as many individuals may not seek medical care unless their symptoms are particularly severe.

Other states linked to the outbreak include Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.

So far, no specific produce, product, or supplier has been identified by the CDC or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as the source of the outbreak.

What is cyclosporiasis?

Cyclosporiasis is a type of food poisoning caused by a parasite, according to the CDC. People usually become infected from consuming food or water contaminated with feces. Symptoms usually occur within two to 14 days after ingestion.

While cyclosporiasis is not usually life-threatening, people can experience severe symptoms, including cramps, nausea, fatigue and vomiting. The most commonly reported symptom is “watery diarrhea with frequent, sometimes explosive, bowel movements,” according to the agency. Other common symptoms include loss of appetite, weight loss, increased gas, body aches, headache, low-grade fever and other flu-like symptoms.

If it’s not treated with antibiotics, it can last anywhere from a few days to over a month. Symptoms can also go away and return multiple times.

The health agency noted there’s a higher risk of infection when living in or traveling to tropical or subtropical regions, where the parasite is more common.

Previous causes of cyclosporiasis outbreaks

Outbreaks of cyclosporiasis are typically traced back to prepackaged food and fresh produce. Previous outbreaks have been linked to:

  • Bagged salad mixes and kits

  • Fresh cilantro
  • Fresh basil
  • Raspberries
  • Snow peas
  • Green onions (scallions)
  • The last outbreak in 2019 was linked to basil that was imported from Mexico. At least 2,400 people were sickened in 37 states and the District of Columbia, according to data from the National Library of Medicine.

    Protecting yourself from cyclosporiasis

If you plan to prepare or eat raw foods, the CDC recommends taking the following steps to reduce the risk of exposure:

    • Wash your hands with soap and water before and after handling or preparing raw fruits and vegetables.

  • Thoroughly wash all fresh produce, herbs, fruits, and vegetables before eating, cutting, and cooking.
  • Scrub firm fruits and vegetables, such as melons and cucumbers, with a clean produce brush.
  • Cut away any damaged or bruised areas on fruits and vegetables before preparing and eating.
  • Refrigerate cut, peeled, or cooked fruits and vegetables as soon as possible, preferably within two hours.
  • If cooking raw foods, make sure they reach 158°F or higher to kill Cyclospora parasites.
  • Trump’s Strategic Gesture Welcoming Turkish President Following Netanyahu’s Caution

    0

Upon landing in Turkey for a crucial NATO summit, Donald Trump was warmly received by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The cordial reception set the tone for a high-stakes visit, reflective of the distinct rapport between the two leaders.

This two-day summit holds significant importance for the United States, Turkey, and the broader NATO alliance. Trump’s strained relations with NATO, exacerbated by tensions with Iran, have made this meeting particularly consequential. The American President has been openly frustrated with NATO members for initially hesitating to support his Operation Epic Fury.

At the heart of these discussions lies the fragile peace deal aiming to conclude Trump’s military engagements, although isolated clashes persist. The outcome of these talks could determine not only the fate of this conflict but also the future dynamics within NATO.

A striking aqua blue carpet welcomed Trump as he arrived on Turkish soil, flanked by Turkish military personnel who stood at attention. This ceremonious welcome underscored the mutual respect and growing ties between Trump and Erdogan, evident as the two leaders warmly embraced on the tarmac.

The camaraderie between Trump and Erdogan is noteworthy, with Trump often admiring Erdogan’s leadership and recently, his backing of the US endeavors in Iran. The President’s genuine happiness upon meeting Erdogan was clear, further emphasizing the strong connection shared by the two leaders.

‘Trump then threw his right hand out palm-up in a very emphatic invitation to his hearty handshake,’ body language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail of the interaction.

‘Possibly the most powerful cue, he placed his left hand up onto Erdogan’s upper shoulder and neck in a clamp gesture as he shook and talked,’ she added. ‘Clamping like this suggests strong connections but the neck is a vulnerable area and the gesture would imply strength and power on behalf of Trump.’

Then the world leaders, at times holding each other’s arms in a sign of affection, went inside to begin the summit.

Trump has remarked how Erdogan has stayed out of the US-Iran war and notably not launched hostilities against Israel. ‘Everything I’ve ever asked from him, he’s done,’ Trump said at a late June Oval Office event.

Trump is widely expected to ask NATO allies at the session to increase their spending on defense. He’s referred to the group as a ‘paper tiger’ that would cease to function without American leadership.

He has complained continuously since his first term that partners do not spend enough on defense, since the lion’s share of NATO defense money comes from US coffers.

Erdogan reportedly wants Trump to approve US military sales to Turkey, specifically US-made F-35 stealth fighter jets, one of the crown jewels of the US Air Force.

However, US law currently forbids the sale of the planes to Turkey, posing a wrinkle for both presidents. Congress barred Turkey in 2018 from obtaining the bespoke US military aircraft after it purchased Russian air defense systems during the President’s first term.

Lawmakers were concerned that Russia’s S-400 air defense system could track, detect and collect intel on the F-35’s stealth capabilities. Officials were worried that if Turkey had both systems, it would pose a major risk to the plane’s technological edge.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned how the sale could upend the Middle East.

Speaking Monday on the morning show ‘Fox & Friends,’ Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu urged the U.S. not to sell F-35 fighter jets to Turkey, saying that Erdogan ‘calls openly for the annihilation of Israel.’

But Trump has seemingly warmed to the proposal of selling Turkey the F-35s despite the concerns from Bibi.

‘It’s a decision we’re going to make,’ Trump responded to a question on Tuesday about whether the US will sell the F-35 to Turkey. ‘It’s certainly something we will consider.’

The President has also noted his approval of how Turkey has handled the recent conflicts in the Middle East.

‘He was a prime candidate to go into the war with Iran — maybe on the Iran side, because he’s not a big fan of Israel,’ Trump said of Erdogan at the late June event in the Oval Office. ‘I asked him to stay out. He stayed out.’

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte told reporters this week that ‘we will announce tens of billions in new contracts that will provide the crucial kit we need to deter and defend.’

But Trump does not just want NATO to increase its spending.

‘We don´t need their money – we don´t need anything,’ Trump said recently. ‘I just want loyalty.’

The summit is being held in Erdogan´s sprawling palace compound in Ankara, and Trump has suggested he would come bearing gifts for the Turkish leader.

Katie Price Wows Judge John Torode with MasterChef Crab Creation

Katie Price left both herself and judge John Torode astounded when she crafted a commendable crab noodles dish on Celebrity MasterChef.

During tonight’s episode of the BBC One cooking competition, airing at 9 p.m., the 43-year-old former glamour model appeared puzzled when she received a crab and was tasked with creating a dish from it.

“The tricky part of this show is that canned ingredients are off-limits,” she quips with a smile.

Undeterred, after persistently cracking the shell with a mallet—a process she humorously likens to ‘an autopsy’—the mother-of-five managed to wow judge John Torode with her flavorful crab noodles garnished with garlic and chili.

Her participation in tonight’s episode comes as news surfaced about her being urgently hospitalized early Monday morning due to an eye injury stemming from an alleged assault.

Police were called after the incident occurred at a property in Essex, who called for paramedics.

The Sun report that a man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently being held in custody.

In a statement to MailOnline, Essex police said: ‘We were called by colleagues in the ambulance service to reports of an assault in The Meadows, Little Canfield, shortly after 1.30am this morning, Monday 23 August.

‘We arrived and found a woman had sustained a facial injury which required hospital treatment. A man was arrested a short time later on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody.’

In a further statement, Essex police added: ‘Our investigations are continuing at the scene today.’

A source close to the 43-year-old told the paper: ‘Katie is, understandably, utterly devastated.’

In tonight’s episode of MasterChef, presenter Joe Swash, ex footballer Dion Dublin, actor Melissa Johns and furniture expert Will Kirk also take to the kitchen – but Katie soon realises she has little to worry about.

Highlighting his lack of expertise, Joe admits: ‘I give my kids enough nourishment to keep them alive. But they love going for dinner at other people’s houses.’

Home life: Katie also offered a glimpse into her life at home with her five children during the pandemic

Elsewhere, the Repair Shop’s Will fails to impress with the raw chicken he serves the judges.

And it’s not all plain sailing for Katie either, who has a disastrous second round when her dumplings don’t cook through – on two separate occasions.

‘They are so shocking I’m not going to put them on the plate,’ she says. ‘It’s not like I didn’t put the effort in, I really did put in the effort, right til the last minute.’

Meanwhile, after Katie opts to make a toad in the hole as part of the third round, where the celebrities are asked to create a dish they’d make at a dinner party, she jokes: ‘It’s messy – story of my life.’

Overall, Katie says she enjoyed the experience.

‘I know it’s a competition but I’ve actually enjoyed it,’ she enthuses. ‘I would cook more if I knew what I was doing.’

MailOnline has contacted Katie’s representatives for comment.

Jada Pinkett and Will Smith Announce Major Relationship Update a Decade After Separation

    0

They seem to be on a renewed quest for a shared sense of happiness.

Jada Pinkett Smith has reportedly returned to cohabiting with her husband, Will Smith, following a period during which the couple lived apart.

According to an insider close to the pair, “Jada moved back in with Will two years ago.” The source shared with People that, despite previous challenges, “they are happy and love each other and are, as ever, committed to supporting each other.”

In recent months, the couple’s bond appears to be strengthening. They celebrated the Fourth of July in Philadelphia, the “I, Robot” star’s hometown. Will Smith was scheduled to headline the “One Philly: Unity Concert for America,” set along the iconic Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Although inclement weather pushed back the event, the source revealed that Will eventually performed with the band, The Roots, at a late-night time slot of 2 a.m., showing dedication to both the event and his craft.

As for Jada, the insider said the “Set It Off” actress “was there with him as she always is.”

Page Six has reached out to reps for the couple but did not immediately hear back.

In October 2023, Jada, 54, revealed that she and Will, 57, had been separated for seven years.

“We’re still figuring it out,” she told People at the time.

“We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us.”

That December, the “Girls Trip” star revealed that her husband’s notorious 2022 Oscars slap saved their union.

“After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him,” she told the Daily Mail.

“Who knows where our relationship would be if that hadn’t happened?” she added.

However, in January 2025, a source close to the couple told People that they were still living in separate homes.

“Call it what you want. They are living their own lives but haven’t completely severed ties,” the insider claimed.

Another source told the outlet that the two “are still together” and “have had separate homes for years.”

Over the past few years, the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” alum and the former “Red Table Talk” host have made several rare appearances together.

In September 2025, Will and Jada stepped out for the first time together in nearly a year when they were spotted grabbing a bite to eat at celebrity hotspot Nobu in Malibu, California.

Most recently, the couple attended Paris Fashion Week together last month to support their son, Jaden, who is the men’s creative director for Christian Louboutin.

The Oscar winner and the “Worthy” author tied the knot in December 1997.

The actors share two kids: son Jaden, 27, and daughter Willow, 25. The “Bad Boys” star is also a dad to son Trey, 33, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino.
