Just hours before military jets are scheduled to grace the skies above Washington, D.C., a new app has been launched to allow Americans to follow the spectacular Fourth of July flyovers as they happen.

Developed by senior White House aide Shawn Chittle, the app, aptly named “4th of July Fly Over,” serves as a handy guide for those gathered along the National Mall and near the Washington Monument to witness the event.

To keep pace with the dynamic aerial displays, the app includes a customizable countdown timer aligned with the official schedule.

In the event of any schedule changes, users can manually tweak the timer, and the app will automatically indicate which aircraft will soar into view next.

Spectators can also use the tool to access photos, history and basic facts about the legendary aircraft roaring overhead.

The app will serve as an essential tool for navigating the “Freedom 250” schedule, which spans over nine hours of demonstrations.

The aerial showcase begins at 1:14 p.m. local time with a NASA F-5 flyover, followed by a series of fleet reviews spanning the Coast Guard, Army, Air Force, Marines and Navy.

Crowd favorites will take the stage later in the afternoon, with the Navy Blue Angels scheduled for 4:59 p.m. and the Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration at 6:25 p.m.

Just after 7 p.m., Air Force One will fly over, followed at 7:17 p.m. by a “HUGE 1” flyover led by the newly renovated Air Force One.

In the evening, there will be a U.S. Stealth Airpower flyover at 7:38 p.m. An F-22 Raptor afterburner display will follow at 7:53 p.m. and B-1 bombers in afterburner at 8:07 p.m.

For spectators staying out late, a B-1 afterburner night pass will light up the sky at 10:36 p.m.

Observers can bookmark the app or add it directly to their mobile home screens to ensure they do not miss a single moment of the patriotic event.

A shroud of mystery enveloped Manhattan’s Ritz-Carlton hotel this past weekend, as none could confirm that it was indeed Travis Kelce slipping away as the groom of the hour en route to what the world might call the wedding of the century.

In a weekend full of spectacle and secrecy, Kelce, alongside Taylor Swift, orchestrated elaborate methods to maintain their privacy, leaving the media in a frenzy. It seemed like a rare, candid moment of Kelce unfurled when he believed no eyes were upon him.

Captured in exclusive snaps by the Daily Mail, a man standing at the hotel’s service entrance on Friday bore a striking resemblance to Kelce. His actions mirrored those of a strategic play, reminiscent of Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid’s well-known on-field moves.

The getaway vehicle trailed another high-profile car, equally concealed under heavy black tint, suggesting it might be ferrying close family members of the celebrated couple. The enigma of the moment left onlookers and the media buzzing with speculation.

While most guests took the conventional route from the hotel’s front, this mysterious figure opted for an enigmatic exit, hidden in the back of a tinted-window SUV and taking a discreet swig from a hip flask.

Hotel workers laughed nervously and would not confirm or deny it was indeed the main man, but they did seem weary of a weekend which – though a clear celebration of love – has been ruled by an iron fist.

Indeed, reports have already spread that staff have lost their jobs for surreptitiously using phones at Madison Square Garden.

And if these new images are indeed of Travis Kelce, it wouldn’t be the only cloak-and-dagger tactic employed during this weekend of pure Taylor-mania.

Love them or hate the spectacle, Swift and Kelce have undeniably captivated America in a will-they-won’t-they cat and mouse game that’s run rings round the nation’s media.

And it all led to a brief but bombshell statement issued Friday: They’re now married. And she wore Dior, by the way.

It’s been months in the making. The Daily Mail was the first to report back in April that wedding planners had sent out nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) along with their save-the-dates to more than 1,000 guests who had to sign before receiving the actual wedding invitation.

For added security, each invitation was individually watermarked using the guests’ first and last names, printed repeatedly across the design, making any leaked invite instantly traceable.

Sources said Swift and Kelce had even kept their loved ones on a ‘need-to-know basis’ to prevent leaks, with the bride and groom’s mothers, Andrea Swift and Donna Kelce, kept in the dark about the wedding prep.

And when festivities started, the Daily Mail also exclusively learned that on-site security had gone a step further, requiring everyone in the wedding reception venue to forfeit their phones and wear a tracking device.

‘When they give you a wristband, they take your picture and the wristbands can be tracked everywhere in the building,’ a source explained, ‘They can see where you are; must have an RFID [radio-frequency identification] or something.’

Arriving guests were also given QR codes in order to check in, before their phones were confiscated to prevent photo leaks.

Even the NYPD were not immune to the heightened security measures, with the more than 130 officers assigned to work the celebration told they were not allowed to have their cell phones on the premises.

One guest inadvertently gave a glimpse into the strict instructions as she struggled to get into the event, showing security a message on her phone which appeared to read, for ’emergency communication needs during the event, there will be phones available. Please make sure you have written down any phone numbers you may need.’

Swift uncharacteristically stayed out the spotlight over the last week, keeping everyone guessing over her movements even as a cavalcade of cars with tinted windows shuttled in and out of her Manhattan townhouse.

The identity of her wedding dress designer has now finally been revealed as Jonathan Anderson, the new creative director of Dior. It is his first couture wedding gown for the brand.

Interestingly, the revered French fashion house was not among recently rumored designers that included Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney.

Last month, in another apparent bait-and-switch decoy, a bodyguard was even seen with a fake Stella McCartney dress in a garment bag outside Swift’s Manhattan apartment.

To keep up with Swift’s mastery, Kelce might have taken inspiration from Reid, who is notorious for devising trick plays on the football field during the biggest moments of the season.

In the Chiefs’ Super Bowl game against the San Francisco 49ers, Kelce became the decoy on the title-winning touchdown drive. He diverted the attention of the last defender, allowing Mecole Hardman to run free and receive the touchdown catch that earned Kelce his third Super Bowl ring.

Swift was in the stands that day in Las Vegas and when they embraced on the field after the win, she told him it was ‘the craziest thing I have ever seen.’ George Kittle, one of Kelce and Swift’s wedding guests at MSG, was on the losing team.

Rumors also spread that Swift would have a coterie of bridesmaids, including Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and her childhood friend Abigail but neither Swift nor Kelce had bridesmaids or groomsmen. 

Instead, Swift’s brother Austin served as her only ‘Man of Honor’ and Jason Kelce was Kelce’s Best Man. And, in a move truly no one saw coming, the ceremony was officiated by friend comedian Adam Sandler. 

The couple’s Love Story began three years ago this week, when Kelce first laid eyes on the songstress at her Kansas City Eras Tour concert on July 8, 2023. 

The Chiefs tight end tried to meet Swift that evening, bringing along a friendship bracelet that contained his phone number. However, his attempt at handing her the jewelry was unsuccessful. 

Kelce subsequently shared the story on his New Heights podcast, which attracted Swift’s attention. 

The 14-time Grammy winner has since revealed that she was moved by the gesture, saying it felt like she was ‘in an ’80s John Hughes movie, and he was standing outside of my window with a boombox saying, ‘I want to date you! Do you want to go on a date with me? I made you a friendship bracelet! Do you want to date me?”

She added: ‘I was like, ‘If this guy’s not crazy, which is a big if, but if he’s not crazy, then this is basically every song I’ve ever written since I was a teenager come to life.”

Soon after, Swift and Kelce met in person and started dating, instantly enamored with each other. 

They announced their engagement in August 2025.

“I wish them a very blessed and good life together,” Hwang told the Post, adding that she wants “a life full of love” for them.

Hwang said she loves “her songwriting very much.”

“And the stories in the songs,” Lee added.

Siearie Smith, 36, stumbled upon the hubbub of MSG completely by accident while traveling with her mother from Minnesota. 

While sightseeing in Times Square they noticed the “JUST&T MARRIED!” sign outside the arena.

“We were coming over here to sight see and then we see ‘just married’ and we knew Taylor Swift was getting married,” she explained. 

“For one person’s wedding this is very cool.”

Sadiel Saavedre 30, of Miami waited outside MSG for hours in hopes of catching a glimpse of his favorite artist. 

“I’m a huge fan,” he told The Post. “I identify with the music, the lyrics.”

A swiftly moving and destructive storm swept through southern Wisconsin on Friday, claiming three lives after a boat capsized on Geneva Lake amid the bustling Fourth of July holiday weekend.

The devastating incident occurred as a fierce storm system roared across Walworth County, beginning around 12:10 p.m.

In the ensuing turmoil, local dispatchers were inundated with emergency 911 calls reporting a capsized boat at Geneva Lake, with several individuals struggling in the water.

A police vessel from the City of Lake Geneva, along with the Geneva Lake Law Enforcement Agency, managed to rescue seven people from the water. Unfortunately, three individuals could not be saved, Walworth County Undersheriff Tom Hausner stated during a news conference.

Emergency crews later recovered their bodies.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of the three victims who died, though sources told CBS News Chicago they were all children.

The capsizing is under joint investigation by the Geneva Lake Law Enforcement Agency and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

Hausner said that while the county’s permanent population sits around 106,000, it surges to more than 200,000 visitors on holiday weekends like the Fourth of July.

“Our resources, not just the sheriff’s office, but all law enforcement resources and fire and EMS are stressed, and this compounded that to levels unprecedented,” Hausner said.

The sheriff’s office initiated an emergency call-in of all off-duty deputies and requested mutual aid from Rock, Kenosha and Jefferson counties and the Wisconsin State Patrol and DNR.

City of Lake Geneva Mayor Todd Krause issued an emergency declaration at 12:18 p.m. after the high winds and heavy rains knocked down power lines, shattered trees, damaged buildings and left cars crushed.

Numerous storm-related injuries have been reported, forcing area hospitals to enact diversions due to the overwhelming volume of patients.

The Geneva Lake Law Enforcement Agency, City of Lake Geneva Police Department, Walworth County Sheriff’s Office and Walworth County did not immediately respond to additional inquiries from News Media.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources referred all inquiries to the City of Lake Geneva Police Department.

In what many are calling the standout match of the World Cup so far, Argentina faced a formidable challenge from Cape Verde, a team that almost unseated the current champions. The African underdogs delivered a stunning performance, scoring two goals that nearly sent Lionel Messi and Argentina packing.

While not all heroes were draped in a Cape Verde jersey, those who were delivered an unforgettable display of determination at the Hard Rock Stadium on Friday night. Competing in their first World Cup, Cape Verde demonstrated tenacity by recovering twice from behind in their Round of 32 face-off. Sidny Lopes Cabral made his mark with a breathtaking, curling goal from an acute angle, equalizing the score at 2-2 during extra time.

Cabral’s unforgettable celebration, characterized by his dash into the crowd to find and embrace his girlfriend, will surely become an iconic World Cup moment. It also fueled hopes of Cape Verde executing a remarkable upset victory.

However, with just nine minutes remaining in extra time, Cristian Romero capitalized on a corner from Messi to head Argentina into a 3-2 lead. This time, the Blue Sharks had no answer, allowing Argentina to advance to face Egypt in the Round of 16 in Atlanta on Tuesday.

Messi opened the scoring in the 29th minute when he took down a long crossfield ball from Lisandro Martinez with a sublime first touch and then rifled it past Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha, who became a cult hero with his man-of-the-match performance in the goalless draw against Spain in the group phase.

But Argentina, and the world of football, got the shock of their lives when Cape Verde equalised in the 59th minute. A shot from Deroy Duarte flew through the legs of Lisandro Martinez and across a stunned Emiliano Martinez and into the bottom corner of the net.

Messi had a fine chance to put Argentina back into the lead three minutes later when he was freed by a fine touch from Lautaro Martinez but his shot was too close to Vozinha, who blocked it with his body. The sight of Messi not converting a chance at this tournament has become a collector’s item.

Vozinha produced another fine save when he clawed away a free kick from Messi that was curling away from him towards the top corner but he was powerless to stop Lisandro Martinez’s viciously hit shot early in the first period of extra time that flew over him at the near post.

That felt as if it might be the end of Cape Verde’s resistance but then Lopes Cabral stepped up in the 104th minute with the goal of the tournament so far and his foray into the crowd. It will be remembered as one of the great World Cup moments.

Argentina looked stunned but they did not wilt and six minutes into the second period of extra time, a Messi corner spun off a combination of Cristian Romero and Cape Verde defender Diney Borges and looped into the net.

Emiliano Martinez produced a brilliant save to keep out a free kick from Lopes Cabral. There were to be no more forays into the crowd.

Would it have been the greatest upset in World Cup history?

It would have been right up there. That distinction is probably shared by North Korea 1-0 Italy at the 1966 World Cup and USA 1-0 England at the 1950 World Cup but a Cape Verde win in Miami might have surpassed both. 

It was Cape Verde’s first appearance in the finals and they were playing the World Cup holders. Cape Verde only had one player in their ranks who plays in the top 5 European leagues. And Argentina have Messi, who is irresistible and who no other team can cope with. Cape Verde came desperately close to pulling off the biggest shock of the lot.

Can England take any encouragement from what happened here?

When they have stopped worrying about what time their match against Mexico is actually going to kick-off and quite what else awaits them in Mexico City, then, yes, they can. 

Cape Verde were superb in Miami and they made Argentina look ordinary. England have to beat Mexico and, probably, Brazil, before they would play Argentina in the semi-final but if both teams get that far, England will know that Argentina are vulnerable. France are the best team in the tournament. After that, there are a number of teams scrabbling to try to reach their level.

What was the best part of the Cape Verde story at this World Cup?

Drawing with Spain in their first ever game at the tournament wasn’t a bad start. That made Vozinha a cult hero overnight. He has played in Moldova, Cyprus, Slovakia and the second division in Portugal and is currently unattached. He is 40 and he was superb again in Miami.

Seeing their centre back Pico Lopes giving Messi a dressing down at half-time for complaining to the referee was impressive in its own way, too. Lopes, who was working as a mortgage advisor when he was recruited to play for Cape Verde via LinkedIn, plays his club football for Shamrock Rovers in the League of Ireland. The team was hoping to find somewhere to stop on their way back from their win at Sligo Rovers on Friday night to catch this tie. A club official was asked whether Lopes would get Messi’s shirt at the end of the game. ‘He’s probably going to be grabbing hold of it for most of the match anyway,’ he said, ‘so he might as well.’

For once, the story was not about Lionel Messi

No, it wasn’t but the greatest player the world has ever seen still managed to score a sublime goal to put Argentina ahead in the first half and contribute the assist for his team’s winner deep in extra time. His goal took him a goal clear of Kylian Mbappe in the compelling race for the Golden Boot. Messi now has seven goals in this tournament.
