Top 5 Romance Series That Surpass Off Campus

0

This article contains a discussion of addiction.

The “fake relationship” narrative is a well-known element in romantic comedies, and it’s perfectly encapsulated in “Off Campus,” a highly acclaimed Amazon Prime Original series captivating audiences worldwide. Inspired by the bestselling book series by Elle Kennedy, “Off Campus,” guided by creator Louisa Levy, focuses on the dynamics between college students Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, portrayed by Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli. An unexpected meeting occurs when Hannah accidentally finds herself in the hockey team’s locker room and surprises Garrett in a compromising state. This encounter sparks an unusual friendship between the two. When Hannah, a music major, determines she can feign a relationship with Garrett to make her crush, Justin Kohl (played by Josh Heuston), envious, they both agree to the pretense. Garrett, on the other hand, goes along with the plan in exchange for academic help, as he struggles with his studies. Predictably, as their fake relationship unfolds, genuine feelings start to surface.

While “Off Campus” has garnered a devoted international audience, numerous shows follow a similar storyline, and some even surpass it in execution. From an unexpected Canadian gem to a three-season epic featuring a coastal retreat, to an unconventional love tale, here are five romantic television series that might just outshine “Off Campus.”

The Summer I Turned Pretty

On another front, “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” crafted by Jenny Han—the mind behind the novel series of the same name and the hit Netflix adaptation “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before”—is, to some extent, about an enchanting vacation property. The tale unfolds during summer months in the fictional destination Cousins Beach, where Susannah Fisher (Rachel Blanchard) owns a lovely beach house. This idyllic setting becomes the summer haven for her best friend Laurel Park (Jackie Chung) and Laurel’s daughter, Isabel “Belly” Conklin (Lola Tung). One transformative summer, Belly returns to Cousins Beach radiating newfound allure, which doesn’t go unnoticed by her childhood companions, Conrad and Jeremiah Fisher (played by Christopher Briney and Gavin Casalegno). As Laurel and Susannah infuse their summer with friendship, their youth engage in self-discovery, romances, and youthful antics amidst the picturesque backdrop of the beach.

Despite harboring a long-term crush on Conrad, Belly’s interest shifts towards Jeremiah during that first summer of change. As the series progresses over three seasons, she navigates her affections between the two brothers. To discover who ultimately captures Belly’s heart, viewers will need to immerse themselves in “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” where the journey itself is compelling, bolstered by remarkable performances from Tung and Briney—actors who are sure to shine in the industry for years to come.

One Day

Based on the David Nicholls book of the same name — which got a not-so-great movie adaptation starring Jim Sturgess and Anne Hathaway in 2011 — “One Day,” which premiered on Netflix in 2024, is the stunning love story between University of Edinburgh graduates Dexter “Dex” Mayhew (Leo Woodall) and Emma Morley (Ambika Mod). The “twist” of this series, though, is how it tells their love story. Across 14 episodes, “One Day” shows us 14 different July 15s across 19 years and explains how, no matter what happens in their lives, Dex and Emma always end up finding their way back together.

That’s not to say that Emma and Dex have a happy path to happiness; in fact, it’s quite the opposite. Not only do they come from totally different socioeconomic backgrounds — Emma’s family wasn’t wealthy, and Dex enjoyed an incredibly privileged upbringing — which means that their post-Edinburgh lives take wildly different turns as Emma struggles to figure out a way to make a living with creative pursuits and Dex easily becomes a popular television presenter. Throughout the years, Dex also struggles with alcohol abuse, something that alienates him from Emma, his family, his friends, and even his first wife and the mother of his child, Sylvie (Eleanor Tomlinson). When Emma and Dex finally begin their relationship in earnest, there’s still one last twist guaranteed to break your heart into a million pieces. Grab a box (or two) of tissues and binge-watch “One Day” — you won’t regret it.

Heated Rivalry

Arguably the biggest surprise hit of 2025, the Crave original series “Heated Rivalry,” adapted by showrunner Jacob Tierney (“Letterkenny,” “Shoresy”) and based on Rachel Reid’s “Game Changers” novel series, is, like “Off Campus,” sort of about hockey. It’s also the better of the two shows. When we first meet the two protagonists and star-crossed lovers of “Heated Rivalry” — Russian-born and Boston-based hockey star and captain Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie, notably not Russian but armed with a wildly convincing accent) and Toronto native and hockey team captain Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams). After their paths cross in late 2008 as both rising hockey stars are chosen by their teams at the Major League Hockey draft, the two join rival teams … but off the ice, they’re conducting a secret long-distance relationship behind closed doors, which is as based in emotion as it is in physical intimacy.

“Heated Rivalry” took the world by storm when it got distribution in the United States thanks to HBO Max, made humongous stars of both Storrie and Williams, and essentially paved the way for hockey-adjacent shows like “Off Campus.” Plus, “Heated Rivalry,” thanks to Tierney’s sharp instincts as a showrunner, is just beautifully made, really thoughtful in its storytelling,a dn features two actors who will almost certainly become members of Hollywood’s A-list in the decades to come. If you somehow haven’t watched “Heated Rivalry” yet, what are you waiting for?

Bridgerton

Based on Julia Quinn’s novel series of the same name, the Netflix hit “Bridgerton” — which counts Shonda Rhimes as one of its executive producers — focuses on a different couple in London’s high society during the Regency Era based on which season you’re watching. While mileage may vary for some, there are some serious standouts found within this show created by Rhimes acolyte Chris van Dusen, thanks to a revolving door of phenomenal actors who show up to play yearning lovers. In the first season, Rege-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor kick off proceedings as the irascible Duke of Hastings Simon Bassett and Daphne Bridgerton, one of the many title siblings who’s making her debut in society. When the two start a fake courtship (basically an old-timey version of the situation on “Off Campus,” actually), the entire “ton,” a term used on the series to refer to high society, is sent into a frenzy.

The Bridgerton siblings are the main focus of this show, obviously — but another family, the Featheringtons, play a large role int he narrative too. That’s why the standout third season centers around Penelope Featherington, played by the great Nicola Coughlan, blows a series like “Off Campus” out of the water. Add in the fact that living legend Julie Andrews narrates the entire show as a mysterious figure named Lady Whistledown who distributes a gossip column throughout the ton to spill secrets, and you’ve got a truly great romance show with absolutely top-notch pedigree.

Sex and the City

You might think, based on the title, that Darren Star’s groundbreaking HBO series “Sex and the City” isn’t really about romance. That actually couldn’t be further from the truth. Not only do the show’s four main characters — sex columnist and fashion icon Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), buttoned-up romantic Charlotte York (Kristin Davis), hard-edged lawyer Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and gleefully promiscuous PR maven Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) — all have incredibly fulfilling relationships with partners, but there’s a larger love story at play. Specifically, that’s the love story between all four women. As Charlotte says during the original series, “Maybe we could be each other’s soul mates. And then we could let men be just these great, nice guys to have fun with.”

Don’t get us wrong; there’s plenty of sex on “Sex and the City,” and quite a lot of is enjoyed by the fiercely independent and deliriously funny Samantha … but the other women have all sorts of run-ins and flings too. While the movies aren’t great — and the HBO Max revival “And Just Like That” is just dreadful, especially because Cattrall refused to participate — the original run of “Sex and the City” is triumphant, funny, thought-provoking, sexy, and yes: romantic.

“Off Campus” is streaming on Amazon Prime Video now.

Senator Blackburn Visits Johnson City

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — On Monday, Sen. Marsha Blackburn engaged with community leaders during a roundtable discussion held in Johnson City.

Blackburn, who has her sights set on the gubernatorial race, mentioned that their conversations covered a variety of subjects, notably healthcare and the recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene.

“We’ve had a productive day in Upper East Tennessee,” Blackburn noted, “collaborating with Ballad Health on enhancing healthcare delivery and accessibility to better serve this region of the state.”

The senator emphasized that as governor, she plans to maintain close collaboration with local officials and influential figures, such as ETSU President Brian Noland.

“What you want to see in Northeast Tennessee is more projects like we have done, the Model Mill project, bringing growth into downtown communities, educational expansion,” Blackburn said. “Dr. Noland and I have worked a lot on how you do this with the Department of Nursing that they’ve done with that entire school, which is fabulous, how our educational institutions have these partnerships with local employers so that we make certain that people know, here is the best place to live, to work, to rear your family, to have jobs for your kids.”

Blackburn will face Monty Fritts and John Rose in the Republican primary for governor in August.

Former Farmer Wants a Wife Star Reveals New Romance Amid ‘Villain’ Image Controversy

Miranda Chopping might have had a brief appearance on “Farmer Wants a Wife,” but she made sure to leave a lasting impression.

Although the glamorous real estate agent from Queensland didn’t capture the heart of Zac, a 24-year-old apple farmer from Adelaide, she has since discovered romance beyond the reality show.

At 21, Miranda has officially announced her relationship with her new partner, social media sensation Josh Brown.

This week, Miranda publicly confirmed her romance with the car content creator on Instagram, a connection she owes to her brother.

Furthermore, the former model didn’t hold back, critiquing both Farmer Zac and the show that thrust her into the limelight.

‘Josh is actually quite the opposite of Farmer Zac. He handles situations in a mature way, supporting me through the whole airing of myself on a dating show and encouraging all opportunities,’ she told Pedestrian TV.

‘He doesn’t feed into high school drama and would never make a decision on his love life based on hearsay.’

Josh told the publication that despite her ‘villain edit’ on Farmer Wants a Wife, he knows the ‘sweet, loving, caring side of Miranda that the viewers never got to see.’

Miranda hasn’t been turned off from seeking a life in the limelight, revealing that she has some special projects ‘in the works’.

Hinting there is more television in her future, Miranda added: ‘The opportunities are just beginning.’

Farmer Zac sent Miranda home after tiring of her clashes with the other ladies, particularly her rival, Maya, a 22-year-old medical receptionist from Victoria.

Zac said that he was unsure Miranda was on the show for the right reasons.

‘This spark is definitely there with Miranda. I felt it,’ he said.

‘But obviously there’s been a couple of speed bumps, and that’s what worries me, because those speed bumps can turn into flat tyres at the end of the day.

‘I wanna make sure everyone is here for the right reason of finding love.’

The brunette stunner had ruffled feathers with her bold, confident energy and tendency to ruthlessly stir the pot – which has also put some viewers offside.

She came to the show to win, but many viewers have been turned off by her ballsy attitude and enhanced looks.

Several on social media have pointed out that Miranda would be better suited to a show like Married At First Sight or Love Island.

‘Miranda is 21, and displaying a high school mean girl personality. Working in real estate, I’d hate to have her managing my home,’ wrote one person on X.

Another said: ‘Did Miranda not get cast on MAFS or Love Island? Not the vibe for Farmer Wants a Wife. You’re 21, just chill.’

‘Hey, Miranda. You are not on MAFS,’ commented someone else.

Over on Instagram, one viewer chimed in: ‘Producers chose her for entertainment purposes!’

‘MAFS vibes. Gia 2.0,’ wrote someone else, referring to Married At First Sight 2026 bride, and resident villain, Gia Fleur.

‘Not genuine,’ said one person, while another viewer wrote: ‘Definitely not your girl, she belongs in the city.’

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Wedding NDAs Exposed: Shocking Twist Unveiled

Preserve the camaraderie.

Guests attending the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are said to have signed non-disclosure agreements, though these documents reportedly lack the solidity one might expect.

As reported by TMZ, the NDAs do not specify any kind of financial consequence, or indeed any sanction, for breaches of the agreement.

Moreover, the outlet reported on Tuesday that the agreements were issued without any accompanying film release notice.

Representatives for Swift and Kelce have not yet commented on inquiries from Page Six.

TMZ reported earlier this month that Swift and Kelce, both 36, sent their friends and family members NDA links once they confirmed wedding attendance.

Those going have been prohibited from sharing details about the star-studded ceremony, which we hear will take place at Madison Square Garden on Friday.

We hear the event’s A-list guest list includes Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, Karlie Kloss, Gigi Hadid and more stars.

“I’ve heard Taylor invited so many people it’s going to be bigger than the Met Gala,” an industry insider recently told Page Six.

Another source shared that Stevie Knicks and Tim McGraw are set to perform at the bash.

The festivities will span multiple days, with Page Six confirming an intimate rehearsal dinner will be held at the iconic Manhattan venue on Thursday.

More than 1,000 guests are expected to watch the pop star and NFL player tie the knot the following day.

However, a source told us “it’s possible” the pair have already exchanged vows.

The duo have been together since the summer of 2023, with the Daily Mail reporting Friday that the athlete initially “wasn’t pursuing [Swift] heavily.”

The outlet claimed Kelce “wasn’t looking for anything serious” at first and was “definitely still dating around” before going “exclusive” with the Grammy winner in September 2023.

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end proposed to his partner in August 2025.

Discover the Americans Who Proudly Wave the Flag on Holidays and Those Who Don’t

0

DETROIT (AP) — In a city rich with cultural diversity, Jerry Esters takes pride in the daily display of the American flag outside his Detroit residence. Not far off, Yvonne Pistochini holds a contrasting perspective, refusing to let the Stars and Stripes grace her property under any circumstances.

Both individuals are Black.

For Esters, the flag is a beacon representing the pathways to success available to him as the great-great-grandson of enslaved ancestors. Meanwhile, Pistochini, now 79, reflects on her upbringing, stating that the nation symbolized by the flag is not the America she has experienced.

The American flag finds favor mainly among Republicans and older white adults, who are most inclined to display it. However, younger Democrats and Black adults often choose not to fly the flag. This dichotomy in perceptions of the flag—viewed by some as either a unifying force or a point of division—mirrors broader societal splits in how Americans perceive their national history and achievements.

“The flag represents both inclusion and exclusion for many Black Americans,” explained Matthew Delmont, a Dartmouth College American history professor. “While celebrating patriotism, the flag can also be wielded to enforce a sense of exclusion, sending the message that ‘you don’t belong here.’ Black Americans, perhaps more acutely than white Americans, comprehend this duality.”

The survey of 2,596 adults was conducted April 16-20. It suggests that older white Americans, especially Republicans, are more likely to see the flag as unifying.

About half of U.S. adults said they display the flag at home throughout most of the year, or during holidays. About 7 in 10 Republicans and about 6 in 10 Americans ages 60 and older fly the flag at least during holidays.

About 6 in 10 Democrats and independents, on the other hand, say they “never” fly the U.S. flag. That includes the vast majority, 75%, of Democrats under 45.

Opportunities worth fighting for

Esters, a 64-year-old retired clay sculptor for a Detroit automaker, flies three American flags at his Sherwood Forest home on the city’s west side.

“When these homes were built, Black men like me, my mother and my family … we couldn’t even buy these homes,” he said. “To me, that’s one reason I fly the flag. We went through a lot to be able to own nice homes, and this is what we fought for.”

The other reason is Moriah Martin, Esters’ great-great-grandmother, who was born into slavery.

“I’m kind of living out her dreams — what I did for a living, having a business, having a nice home,” he said. “I think that’s the American way, but we got to fight for it and we, as Blacks, fought for it.”

He’s in the minority among Black adults, according to the survey, which found that only about 3 in 10 Black adults say they ever display the American flag, compared with about half of white and Hispanic adults.

Pistochini says current divisions over political leanings and perspectives, and inequality of opportunities for the poor and people of color are not what she believes the flag should stand for. People confuse flying it with being patriotic, she added.

“Just because you fly a flag doesn’t make you a patriot,” Pistochini said. “If there was patriotism, we would not have all this. We can’t look at (what’s going on) and say this is America.”

For country and freedom

Ben Gaskins, chair of political science at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, says the flag is an important symbol of patriotism for many Americans.

“It is those who are older people, who are white and people who are more conservative,” Gaskins said. “They take it as more central to their identity.”

Nancy Hansen, a 73-year-old retired Customs and Border Protection clerk in Culvertson, Montana, believes “you have to be for the country, no matter what” and that the flag means “freedom.”

“Freedom to live where we want to live, travel where we want to travel, raise our kids where we want to raise our kids,” said Hansen, who is white and identifies as Republican.

Each year around July 4, the American Legion posts flags outside businesses and homes in Culvertson, including Hansen’s home.

Linda and Greg Cunningham also equate the flag with freedom.

The white, conservative Pontiac, Michigan, couple are going all out this summer. The exterior of their home northwest of Detroit is awash in red, white and blue. The flag sits atop a flagpole just feet from their door.

“It’s no political thing, at all,” said Linda Cunningham, 63. “It’s our freedom. I love the American flag. I love the whole concept of it. I love America. I know there’s so much going on in the world, right now, and I know everyone has their own views, and I’m just sad that politics have to be brought into the flag.”

Flag as a ‘painful reminder’

Of those who took the survey, 47% see the flag as a “more unifying” symbol. About 16% call it a “more divisive” icon, while 36% say it’s neither divisive nor unifying.

Only 22% of Black adults see the flag as a unifying symbol, compared with 55% of white adults and 42% of Hispanic adults.

“It’s a painful symbol. It’s a reminder of what we could be and how it’s failed to live up to that for Black people, for Indigenous people and people of color,” said Allison Wiltz, a Black author and founder of Writers and Editors of Color.

Paul Walthour, 71, occasionally flies the flag outside his Minneapolis-area home on special occasions and some holidays. Walthour says that when he’s away from home and at his cabin, the flag goes up each morning and is taken down at the end of the day.

“This is antiquated, perhaps,” said Walthour, who is white and a retired advertising agency creative director. “I feel it’s a symbol that you’re proud to be an American.”

“Unfortunately, I kind of think it’s kind of a symbol of dividing more than uniting,” added Walthour, who identifies as a Democrat. “The people who fly it on the far right have one kind of feeling about it, and the people who fly it on the left have a different kind of feeling about it.”

Grieving Father Condemns System Failures After Family Tragedy Prevents Children’s Reunion

A father is in mourning over the untimely demise of his four young children, who were reportedly victims in a tragic murder-suicide involving poison.

In an interview with News Media, the children’s father, Brady Harmon, expressed his deep sorrow and the sense of shock that came with the heartbreaking news. “One can never be prepared for something so horrific,” he shared. “It’s unimaginable.”

According to police, the children’s grandmother is believed to have poisoned the four siblings and their mother before taking her own life in Mechanicville, New York, as disclosed during a press briefing on Thursday.

Authorities suspect a grandmother from Mechanicville, New York of orchestrating a murder-suicide which left her four grandchildren and their mother dead. The bodies were discovered in an apartment last week, according to police reports. (Brady Harmon)

“Evidence recovered from the apartment points to deliberate poisoning using a variety of both prescription and over-the-counter medications,” remarked Mechanicville Police Chief William Rabbitt.

Investigators made their grim discovery during a welfare check at the home on Tuesday, June 23.

MPD named those found dead:

  • Amy Steadman, 64
  • Sarah Myers, 44
  • Harper Harmon, 13
  • Hudson Harmon, 11
  • Gavin Harmon, 10
  • Gracelynn Harmon, 10

During the news conference, police named Steadman as the children’s grandmother. Rabbitt said investigators found a “handwritten note” that may link her to the deaths.

He also said causes of death are pending additional investigation and toxicology testing.

Before the young victims were found dead, Harmon, who lives in Utah, told News Media he was planning on taking his children back to Utah with him for the summer. He never had the chance.

He was fighting an ongoing custody battle with the children’s mother, Myers, he said. He also told News Media he had concerns about the children’s safety and well-being before the tragedy.

His worst fears became realized.

“The system is broken, it takes way too long to get anything done. I spent six and a half years fighting to be able to have access to my kids,” he said.

While the murder investigation continues, Harmon said, “My concern right now is being able to bring my kids home, and have them away from those two monsters that did this to them.”

Southwest Airlines Shakes Up Travel Plans with Route Reductions: What Passengers Need to Know

0

Travelers flying out of St. Louis Lambert International Airport are facing significant changes and expressing their dissatisfaction about them.

Southwest Airlines, known for its expansive service across the United States, is eliminating seven direct flights from this major Midwest hub. This adjustment is part of a larger transformation in their business operations.

The reductions were implemented in March 2026 but will notably affect passengers traveling between July and September 2026. This move underscores another strategic shift for the airline as it realigns its focus towards routes that promise stronger demand and better profitability.

Residents and visitors alike will no longer find flights from St. Louis to cities such as Des Moines, Little Rock, Tulsa, Wichita, Oklahoma City, Omaha, and Pensacola, according to aviation reports.

According to Southwest, this development isn’t as sudden as it might appear. Initially announced in August 2025, this transition has been in effect since March 2026, the airline informed the Daily Mail.

‘While it is true we “ended” seven routes from STL, we also added routes elsewhere to account for that change,’ the company confirms.

In its place, Southwest now operates Chicago Midway to Des Moines, Chicago Midway to Tulsa, and Chicago Midway to Wichita, along with Dallas Love Field to Oklahoma City and Nashville to Little Rock.

The reason behind this change, according to Simple Flying, is the airline is moving away from its ‘current point-to-point network,’ which is where an airline flies planes directly from an origin to a destination, rather than routing passengers through a central ‘hub.’

Other airlines, like American and Delta, operate out of ‘hubs’ to have competitive control over a specific area. United Airlines, as one of the largest carriers in the US, has nine hub airports as a part of its global network.

Now, Southwest has adopted a kind of hybrid model.

While the company doesn’t use the term ‘hubs,’ it does coordinates its schedule to help passengers transfer between connecting flights in cities like Denver, Chicago-Midway, Baltimore and Dallas Love Field.

Despite those seven axed St Louis routes, Southwest continues to have a large presence at the airport. With 9,945 scheduled departures last quarter, St Louis cements its place as Southwest’s 11th-busiest base.

Southwest’s upcoming flight routes also impact potential passengers in the south Florida area, with Simple Flying noting 43 routes changes after the carrier updated its flight schedules.

The aviation outlet analyzed Southwest’s submissions to aviation data firm OAG, comparing flights operated between January 2025 and May 2026 with those currently planned from June 2026 through March 2027.

Southwest told the Daily Mail that the routes named were ‘never intended’ by their schedulers to permanently be part of its route network.

‘We, like all airlines, routinely turn on and turn off routes based on seasonal demand,’ the statement continues. ‘Using the copious amounts of data available to us we’re able to marry Customer preferences with aircraft availability/staffing/airport space/etc.’

Southwest Airlines is changing its routes out of Florida, leaving customers furious at the changes

They argued that Orlando, Southwest’s largest operation in Florida, has ‘consistently grown’ over the past 18 months to two years. In fact, they hit an all-time high with 203 scheduled Saturday trips there during February 2027.

This wouldn’t be the first time Southwest tweaked their flight paths – one Reddit user shared their frustration about traveling between St Louis and Oklahoma City, saying not only would it be cheaper to drive but also faster.

‘This airline is just tanking, rapidly,’ they added. ‘I understand that changing to assigned seats and no more free checked bags just makes them like every other airline, but what is getting me is their new routes.’

‘Totally agree,’ another Reddit user chimed in. ‘I want to know who in their organization approved all these huge changes at once. I guess they saw it as ripping off a band aid.’

Another shared that the new point-to-point business structure was ‘yet another change I’m not thrilled about.’

‘I would give it two years until we begin seeing articles about the downfall of Southwest,’ one Reddit user wrote. ‘The experts will be perplexed as to how this happened.’

Brandi Glanville Calls Out Kelly Bensimon on Divorce Claims

Brandi Glanville has disputed Kelly Bensimon’s assertions about being left with “nothing” after her split from renowned fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon. Kelly, who has spoken about the financial challenges of raising her daughters as a single mother, made these claims, which Brandi contests.

The former star of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Brandi, didn’t mince words on her podcast, Brandi Glanville Unfiltered. Joined by special guest Kristen Taekman, 46, she openly challenged Kelly’s alleged financial difficulties.

Kristen appeared on Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: RHONY Legacy alongside Kelly, 55, who often discusses how heavily she invests in her real estate career to provide for her two children.

Nevertheless, Brandi, 51, expressed skepticism about Kelly’s narrative of receiving no assistance from her wealthy ex-husband, whose fortune is estimated to be between $20 and $30 million.

Brandi remarked, “She claims that she didn’t get anything from her ex-husband. I’m sorry, but that’s just not true…”

‘If someone gives you a $12 million house in the Hamptons you’ve got something and I promise you, she didn’t get nothing. Its just impossible.’

The reality star continued: ‘You saw her house in the promos. The way she lives, the kids. The whole I came from nothing and I built everything on my own, it’s just… there’s no way – he was so rich – that she got nothing.’

When Kristen asked whether Brandi believes French photographer Gilles, 79, is wealthy, Brandi continued: ‘Yes, I do. Gilles Bensimon? 100 per cent. He was a huge fashion photographer. He shot every cover of ELLE.

‘I’m sorry, she got stuff. Trust me, she didn’t get what I got which was s***.’

Kelly tied the knot with Gilles in 1997, but they divorced 10 years later. After the split, Kelly famously kept the couple’s five-bedroom mansion in East Hampton as part of the divorce settlement.

In 2012, the reality star sold the two-story home for less than half the asking price at $5.76m.

Meanwhile, she lived in a sprawling New York City apartment located in the NYPD’s former headquarters at 24 Centre Street in Little Italy, Manhattan for 30 years before she began renting out the stunning property for a whopping $28,500 per month.

The former couple share two daughters: 26-year-old Sea and 24-year-old Thaddeus ‘Teddy.’

Kelly has since moved on with her financier fiancé Scott Litner, with the pair announcing their engagement in July 2023.

Elsewhere in the podcast, Kristen opened up about her constant clashes with Kelly during the newly-aired RHONY Legacy series.

The mother-of-two expressed her confusion about the way Kelly seemed to be annoyed that Kristen chose to stay with her husband, Josh Taekman, after he was accused of cheating back in 2015.

The Eboost founder was forced to make a public apology after it was revealed that he signed up for an account on infidelity website, Ashley Madison, in 2011. However, he insisted that he had not been unfaithful to his wife during the years in which he held the account.

Kristen found herself being quizzed about the scandal by Kelly and fellow UGT stars Dorinda Medley, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan.

Recalling the awkward conversations, Kristen stated: ‘When Kelly was talking about, “Well I had this happen, and I had to go and get all these jobs”, and I’m like “Okay, so I should go out and get a bunch of jobs and leave my family?” Like what? It was so bizarre.’

Below Deck Mediterranean Charter Guest Josef Rettman Opens Up About Bizarre Experience with Six Women

Below Deck Mediterranean is turning up the heat as it welcomes back its most notorious guest.

For those catching up, the 11th season of the Below Deck series is off to a fiery beginning. Last week’s episode, the third of the season titled “Guestzilla on Board,” kicked off the second charter featuring Johnny Damon, a former MLB star, and his wife, Michelle. This isn’t the Damons’ first rodeo on the show; they previously graced the yacht in Seasons 4 and 5.

However, this time around, the Damons introduced a new companion, which proved to be a significant misstep.

Enter Josef Rettman, the so-called friend who certainly made a splash. While we’ve already detailed Josef’s antics from the last episode, nothing beats seeing his boisterous, inebriated exploits for yourself. His behavior has placed the crew on edge, leaving even Captain Sandy Yawn apprehensive about his influence. This is reality TV at its finest!

The episode concluded with heightened tensions between Josef and Bosun Nathan Gallagher. As Nathan stood watch on the bridge, Josef stormed in, seemingly itching for confrontation. It was the perfect cliffhanger moment.

Dying to know what happened with Josef and Nathan? Did Nathan heed Captain Sandy’s sage advice? Did Josef get kicked off the boat? We’re here to break down everything that happened with Josef on this week’s episode of Below Deck Mediterranean.

So… did Nathan fight Josef?

Fortunately (or unfortunately), no. Nathan did a fantastic job keeping his cool as Josef went on a drunken rant, telling him:”I don’t like you, but I respect you.” Josef then proceeded to challenge Nathan to arm wrestle, which Nathan politely declined. Following that uncomfortable conversation, Josef ordered another margarita and started to trauma dump on Nathan.

There was no topic off limits for Josef. He discussed his past financial woes, shared his experience seeing U2 fly in on a helicopter, made more misogynistic comments (not surprising), and, finally, graphically recounted a weird sexual encounter, proudly stating, “I’ve had, like, six girls pee on me at once.” Too much information, Josef. Despite it all, Nathan handled the entire situation with grace, and he ends his shift unscathed.

When Cooper took over watch duty from Nathan at 2:59 a.m., Josef blurted out that his father passed when he was just 14 years old. What followed was an excruciating moment of silence as Cooper was too stunned to speak. Perhaps sensing the awkwardness, Josef finally excused himself to go to bed. However, that moment of vulnerability served as a reminder to viewers why Josef is so terrible: Hurt people hurt people.

Josef Below Deck Mediterranean S11 EP4

Bravo/Peacock

In the morning, Josef couldn’t stop raving to Captain Sandy about how he and Nathan were able to have a heart-to-heart. We’re not sure if that’s how Nathan would describe their conversation, but it’s better than more unwanted arm wrestle requests! Now that Josef found a new appreciation for life after his conversation with Nathan, his spirits remained high for the rest of the charter. After hearing he and his fellow passengers would be visiting a nearby world-famous oyster farm, Josef states: “I’m recently-divorced. The world is my oyster.” It appeared that overnight, Josef had become an optimist.

After those first ten minutes, the episode shifted its focus away from Josef. If you’re here to hate-watch Josef, don’t worry—he had plenty of camera time throughout the remainder of the episode. Right before their departure, Josef asked the crew an awkward question. “Do you think there’s any chance that my girl is coming back?”

Josef, I can answer that for you. She’s not coming back.

In the end, Josef exclaimed, “I’m gonna add $15,000 to whatever the tip is” right before he and his “friends” depart. Before they go their separate ways, Josef made sure to snap a photo of Nathan. I guess it’s safe to say Josef never wants to forget this experience. Luckily, Josef can rewatch his drunk behavior on the yacht for the rest of time, thanks to Peacock.

In the end, the hefty $50,000 tip was the crew’s well-earned reward for dealing with a guest as difficult as Josef. As Captain Sandy said, “Yachting is a business. You’re always gonna have the Josefs. When they’re rude and obnoxious, you have to diffuse.”

In other news…. A man identifying himself as Ibrahim, a Fulani, has publicly declared his support for former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying he would rather vote for Obi than support a continuation of the current administration.

In a video circulating on social media, Ibrahim introduced himself as “a real Fulani boy” and said his decision was based on what he believes is competence rather than religion or ethnicity.

According to him:

“I, Ibrahim, a real Fulani boy, would rather vote for Peter Obi than repeat this government. That’s my choice. Peter Obi will be my candidate than to repeat this government, yes I said it.”

He argued that previous voting patterns based on religious and ethnic sentiments had not delivered the desired results for Nigerians.

“We voted for religion, it didn’t work. We voted for tribalism, it didn’t work. We have to vote for the right person; that is the fact.”

The man also raised concerns over insecurity, claiming that many Fulani communities have suffered from killings, cattle rustling, and kidnappings.

“We the Fulanis, every day we are losing our lives, our cows are being pursued and our brothers are being kidnapped. A Fulani’s part is always silent because nobody wants to know a Fulani’s part.”

He concluded by suggesting that the experiences and perspectives of Fulani people are often overlooked in public discourse.
