Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s MSG Wedding Plans Include 1,000 Guests and Street Closure, Reveals NYPD Memo

0

NEW YORK — A leaked security memo, reviewed by News Media, reveals that pop music icon Taylor Swift is set to marry NFL star and three-time Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce in an extravagant event that will stretch over several days. The celebration is expected to bring about street closures, cater to hundreds of VIP guests, and require special law enforcement arrangements along with security funded by taxpayer dollars.

Dated June 29, the document indicates that the NYPD plans to cordon off a block near Madison Square Garden, right in the bustling heart of Manhattan.

The memo outlines a multi-day schedule featuring event preparations, celebrations, and clean-up activities. Approximately 1,000 attendees are anticipated, which, while a modest number by the venue’s standards and the couple’s immense popularity, is noted by law enforcement as including a significant number of “high profile” and “VIP” individuals.

Both Swift and Kelce have kept information about the guest list under wraps. According to the memo, authorities are preparing for the influx of fans and media that is expected to gather outside the event venue.

Guests have reportedly received individual watermarked invitations in an effort to discourage leaks, TMZ reported previously. There has even been a mystery surrounding the wedding’s location for weeks.

About 100 people were invited to a rehearsal dinner that will also take place at the Garden an evening before the big day, according to the memo.

New York authorities will shut down West 31st Street between Seventh and Eighth Avenues all day on July 3, according to the memo — less restrictive than the shutdowns for the NBA Finals, which the New York Knicks won earlier this month. Those closures extended for multiple blocks surrounding MSG.

On the wedding day, guests will arrive at a secure reception tent as the cocktail hour kicks off, so they can enter away from prying eyes.

The ceremony is scheduled for the evening with the reception running into the early morning of July 4, according to the memo, and reports suggest there will be A-list performances along the way.

Roughly 10 blocks to the north, revelers will be ringing in the United States’ 250th birthday in Times Square, according to the organizers of America 250 — with a ball dropping eight times, marking midnight in every time zone where the country has territory.

The days-long festivities have been sponsored and approved by New York City’s Street Activity Permit Office, which is part of the Mayor’s Office of Citywide Event Coordination and Management.

The NYPD is expected to provide taxpayer-funded security and traffic control.

The New York Post’s Page Six has reported that the wedding bash will feature performances from Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw and be “bigger than the Met Gala.”

The annual Metropolitan Museum of Art fundraiser generates tens of millions of dollars for the organization and also receives security assistance from the NYPD and New York City’s Sanitation Department.

In a photo obtained by News Media Monday, a large truck was seen backing into a loading bay at the MSG, where workers took out large items concealed by black plastic sheets.

The NYPD did not immediately respond to requests for comment or address the memo’s authenticity.

The venue falls within the NYPD’s Patrol Borough Manhattan South, whose commanding officer was reassigned last week amid an internal affairs corruption probe.

Popular Air Conditioner Faces Recall Over Fire Risk: Immediate Action Required

0

As a massive heatwave threatens to scorch over 30 states with extreme temperatures and oppressive humidity, thousands of air conditioners in the United States are being recalled.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued an urgent advisory for consumers to immediately cease the use of over 13,000 Amana window and through-the-wall air conditioning units due to a significant fire hazard.

According to Amana, these defective models were distributed across the country and were bought between April and December 2025, mainly through dealers or direct sales, with prices ranging between $850 and $1,500.

The specific through-the-wall air conditioners at risk are identified by model numbers PBH113J35AA, PBH093J35AA, PBH073J35AA, PBE123J35AA, or PBE093J35AA, and users are advised to halt their use without delay.

Amana is advising customers to reach out to its parent company, Daikin Comfort Technologies, to obtain a complete refund for the malfunctioning units.

As for the air conditioning window units, anyone with the model numbers AH183J35AA, AH123J35AA, AH093J35AA, AE183J35AA, AE123J35AA and AE093J35AA is at risk of their units starting a fire and should pull the AC at once.

The model and serial numbers of the affected air conditioners are found on the front bottom of the base pan, which is visible when the plastic covering is removed.

According to CPSC, the problem stems from a heating element that can stay on and energized even when the air conditioner is supposed to be off. This can lead to the unit overheating, melting its plastic components and starting a fire.

So far, Daikin Comfort Technologies has received one report of the heating element melting the AC’s plastic covering.

However, no injuries have been reported due to the recalled units.

Amana said in a statement: ‘Consumers will be required to provide their contact information, cut the product’s cord, and then upload a photo of the product’s serial number and cut cord in order to receive a full refund of the unit.’

Anyone with the affected units is urged to call 855-812-8989 during the company’s business hours of 9am to 6pm ET, Monday through Friday, or visit the Amana recall page.

‘Recalled units have a model number beginning with PB, AH, or AE. The serial number is under the bar code that is under the model number,’ the company added.

An additional 53 air conditioners were sold to consumers in Canada and have been recalled as well.

Between 2017 and 2019, CPSC estimated that air conditioners were involved in 1,400 fires throughout the US each year.

Model numbers for the affected air conditioners can be found at the bottom of the units when the front plastic covering is removed.

The recall will likely impact many Americans bracing for the first major heatwave of the 2026 summer season, with high heat and humidity triggering extreme health warnings from the National Weather Service.

A heat dome works like a lid of high pressure. It builds overhead, trapping hot air at the surface level, suppressing clouds and intensifying sunlight.

Meteorologists have called this particular summer event a ‘mega’ or ‘double heat dome’ because two separate high-pressure systems, one over the Southwest and another being influenced by the subtropical Atlantic, have merged into one massive dome over the US.

Temperatures are expected to start rising today and peak at dangerously high levels by Thursday, with states from New York to Kansas preparing for the heat index to surpass 105 degrees Fahrenheit this week.

AccuWeather meteorologist Matt Benz warned in a statement: ‘While temperatures during the day will be dangerous, the lack of any relief from the heat and humidity at night can be especially stifling and even deadly, especially for those who don’t have air conditioning.’

High heat index values can lead to heat-related illnesses such as heat exhaustion or heat stroke within minutes of exposure.

Since humid air is already full of moisture, sweat evaporates much more slowly. That means your body cannot cool down well and it feels hotter than the actual thermometer says.

Elderly adults, children, those with chronic health issues, and those without air conditioning are expected to be at the greatest risk during the widespread humidity-induced heatwave.

Heat exhaustion often starts with heavy sweating, fatigue, developing cool, pale, clammy skin and a fast, weak pulse, muscle cramps, dizziness, nausea and headaches.

As for heat stroke, which is far more deadly and can develop within 15 minutes in extreme conditions, the first symptoms are often a throbbing headache, confusion, slurred speech, nausea, dizziness, and a fever above 103°F.

US Diplomats Engage in Crucial Iran Talks in Qatar Following Recent Escalating Attacks

0

In a significant diplomatic development, two U.S. envoys have landed in Qatar to engage in talks with mediators aiming to facilitate an end to the ongoing conflict with Iran. The negotiations mark a critical effort in navigating the complex geopolitical tensions in the region.

On Tuesday, in Doha, Qatar’s capital, Steve Witkoff, the special Mideast envoy for the United States, and Jared Kushner, who is notably the former President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, arrived for these crucial discussions. Their visit comes on the heels of a tumultuous weekend marked by exchanges in the Persian Gulf over plans to reopen the vital Strait of Hormuz to shipping, a key channel for global energy supplies.

However, U.S. representatives will not engage directly with Iranian diplomats during their stay in Qatar. Majed al-Ansari, a spokesperson for Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, noted that the envoys would not participate in high-level meetings but would instead rely on mediators to carry messages between the two sides. This indirect approach underscores the fragile nature of these peace efforts and reflects past strategies employed in earlier discussions between the two nations.

It’s worth noting that similar indirect negotiations have occurred between the United States and Iran in prior instances. Unfortunately, these initiatives have previously faltered, notably culminating in the 12-day war initiated by Israel against Iran in 2025, as well as sparking the recent hostilities involving Iran.

Such indirect negotiations have happened in the past between Iran and the U.S. However, the two previous rounds of talks collapsed into the 12-day war Israel launched against Iran in 2025 and the recent Iran war.

“We’re not expecting any high-level Iranian officials at the moment, but as I said, the technical meetings are ongoing … and they haven’t stopped since then,” al-Ansari told journalists at a weekly news conference.

Iran was also sending a delegation to Qatar this week. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Tuesday that Iran has had no plans for a meeting with the American side at any level in the coming days.

“What will take place in Doha tomorrow is a discussion with the Qatari side about implementing parts of the memorandum of understanding, including the release of Iran’s blocked assets,” Baghaei told journalists at his own briefing.

However, that left open the possibility of messages being passed to the Qataris between the two sides.

The U.S. and Iran agreed to an interim deal earlier this month that calls for Tehran to dilute its stockpile of enriched uranium. It also waives U.S.-backed oil sanctions on the country, calls for free traffic through the Strait of Hormuz and gives each side 60 days to hammer out broader agreements.

A fifth of the world’s oil was shipped through the Strait of Hormuz before the war began Feb. 28. Iran’s attacks and threats stopped cargo ships and tankers from moving through the strait, creating a global energy crisis.

The strait has long been considered an international waterway despite being in Iran and Oman’s territorial waters.

Both sides traded strikes amid efforts last week to open Oman’s territorial waters in the strait to both inbound and outbound ship traffic from the Persian Gulf. That raised concerns that negotiations to formally end the war could be disrupted.

Iran twice attacked vessels in the strait — including a tanker filled with Qatari crude — and drew retaliatory American airstrikes. Iran also launched drone and missile attacks targeting Bahrain and Kuwait on Sunday.

Police Chief Explains Officer’s Decision Not to Ticket NFL Analyst Dianna Russini for Phone Usage While Driving

0

A police chief from New Jersey has shed light on why Dianna Russini managed to escape receiving a ticket for using her phone while driving. Recently released cringe-inducing footage shows her invoking the name of an NFL coach to dodge the fine.

The bodycam video captures Russini being stopped by an officer on a snowy day. Earlier this year, she resigned from her position at The Athletic after facing allegations of an affair with New England Patriots’ coach, Mike Vrabel.

In the footage, Russini explains she was busy reporting that Sean McDermott had been fired by the Buffalo Bills. She mentions being on the call with former New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll and then inquires whether the officer supports the Giants or Jets.

After reviewing her documents, the officer returns to her car and remarks, “I’m gonna cut you a break on the cellphone. I understand your job requires you to be on the phone a lot. Just try to wait ’til you get home, OK?”

Responding to the footage, Chief Forest Ross Lyons of the Ridgewood, New Jersey, Police Department disclosed that his officer opted to exercise “professional discretion” by giving Russini a warning instead of a ticket.

‘On January 19, 2026, at 9:40 am, a Ridgewood police officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Godwin Avenue involving Ms. Dianna Russini for the use of a handheld cell phone while driving,’ Lyons said in a statement, via NBC Sports.

‘After following department protocol during the stop, and reviewing Ms. Russini’s driving history, the officer exercised his professional discretion and issued a verbal warning to Ms. Russini.

‘The use of officer discretion in determining whether to issue a warning or a citation is consistent with Ridgewood Police Department policy and longstanding practice. Police officers are encouraged to use their judgment and, when appropriate, provide motorists with warnings as part of the Department’s commitment to fair, impartial and community-oriented policing.’

Back in February, Russini revealed on ‘Stugotz and Company’ that she was pulled over by police weeks before for texting while driving with her two young sons in the car.

She claimed she told the officer she was using her phone because the Bills had just fired head coach McDermott and she was trying to report the news.

However, she also alleged that she managed to prevent a ticket by getting the head coach of the officer’s favorite team to speak with him on FaceTime, which the footage does not appear to show.

It is another desperately embarrassing episode for the former NFL insider, whose world was turned upside down by her affair scandal with Vrabel.

An investigation into Russini and Vrabel’s alleged relationship was published by the New York Times on June 24.

Not only did it detail how she was paid close to $800,000-a-year by the New York Times-owned Athletic before her career collapsed, but it also included comments from her that she wanted to remain private.

However, it also told the story of how bosses at The Athletic were unhappy with her for sharing the story of her allegedly using her relationship with O’Connell to get out of a driving ticket.

‘So he names the team [that he is a fan of] and I go, “Oh, I love that team. Do you want to talk to the coach? You should talk to the coach”,’ Russini claimed on the podcast.

She said she immediately FaceTimed the coach, who ‘played all into it’ and told the officer ‘you should let her go, she’s a good citizen.’

Russini admitted she was ‘desperate’ in the moment because ‘I don’t want to get a ticket. My husband is going to kill me.’

She continued: ‘I’m texting and driving. I shouldn’t be doing that I know that… I [called] a coach to get out of a ticket. Like what a nasty play but it worked.’

Danielle Rhoades Ha, a Times Company spokeswoman, called it ‘unacceptable conduct’, while it later emerged that Russini also never asked or received permission to go on that podcast, which was required.

Russini left her job at The Athletic, where she was one of the highest-paid journalists, just days after bombshell pictures emerged in early April of her appearing intimate with Vrabel at an adults-only resort in Arizona . Both are married with children.

John Cena Reveals New Look in Preparation for Upcoming Hair Transplant

John Cena has recently caught attention with a new look as he prepares for his second hair restoration treatment.

The former WWE superstar, now an actor, unveiled his freshly shaved head in a photo he posted on X on Monday, June 29.

“Embarking on my second FUE therapy journey, fully committed to achieving the best outcomes,” he captioned the image, which also featured his doctor. “Grateful to @KenAndersonMD and the dedicated team at Anderson Center for Hair for being part of this process!”

The follicular unit excision (FUE) procedure is a method of hair transplantation. It involves harvesting “individual follicular units, which are naturally occurring clusters of 1 to 4 hairs, mainly from the back of the head and sometimes from the beard or other areas,” and implanting them “into thinning zones of the scalp or elsewhere on the body, depending on the aesthetic requirement,” as explained by The International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS), a leading medical nonprofit organization.

John Cena Opens Up About Getting a Hair Transplant After Trolls Mocked His Thinning Tresses

Reflecting on his receding hairline, John Cena expressed a wish that he had addressed it sooner. The 48-year-old star discussed his hair loss experience during an interview for People, published on Wednesday, August 6. While talking about the aging process, Cena admitted to initially trying to “conceal [his] thinning hair,” but persistent feedback from WWE enthusiasts made him reconsider.

Cena, 49, first confirmed he underwent a hair transplant in April 2025 during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

“There’s another headline for ya: hair transplant,” he said. “There’s no shame in that, man. I got a problem, I tried to fix it. I’m working on it. I saw so many bald spot signs.”

In an August 2025 interview with People, the 17-time WWE world champion said he decided to get a transplant after wrestling fans kept pointing out he had a bald spot.

“I saw their signs that said ‘The bald John Cena,’” he said. “They pushed me into going to see what my options were. I now have a routine: red-light therapy, minoxidil, vitamins, shampoo, conditioner — and I also got a hair transplant last November. I hate the fact that if there wasn’t so much shame around it, I’d have gotten it done 10 years ago. I thought I was alone, but seven or eight out of 10 [men] suffer from thinning or baldness.”

“It completely changed the course of my life,” he added.

John Cena

It’s hard to imagine John Cena — muscular, accomplished John Cena — feeling self-conscious. But at 49, the actor and WWE wrestling icon is getting real about the things that have dogged him as he’s gotten older. Hair loss, skin cancer and Demodex blepharitis, a chronic eyelid inflammation due to mites, have all been on […]

Earlier in June, Cena spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about his first follicular procedure and how he keeps on top of his hair care.

“I feel great and again, not perfect, but I’m taking steps at a time,” he shared. “My first transplant was a minimal procedure. I had a huge spot in the back, and they covered it up, but I didn’t exhaust my donor sites. Now I’m talking inside baseball, but this is all knowledge I got by talking to a professional. Imagine what can happen! That’s why I’m such a strong advocate. I see [a doctor] every six weeks. I get PRP treatment. I do red-light therapy, vitamins, finasteride topical, exosome topical — I’m all in.”

Prince William wants to end homelessness

Prince William is determined to eradicate homelessness.

As the Prince of Wales commemorates the third anniversary of his Homewards initiative, which seeks to reduce homelessness to a rarity that is swiftly resolved and not repeated, he plans to deliver a speech on Tuesday (30.06.26). He will discuss how current research indicates that reaching this ambitious target is achievable if systemic changes are implemented.

According to the Daily Telegraph, he will say: “Homelessness is not an individual failure; it is a systemic failure. And, if systems help create the problem, then systems can help prevent it.

“By trialling new approaches, Homewards is demonstrating how prevention can be embedded across every part of our society.

Explosive Allegations: Alex Cooper and Sofia Franklyn’s Secret Plan to Exit Barstool Through Fabricated Claims, Reveals Dave Portnoy

Dave Portnoy has accused Alex Cooper and Sofia Franklyn of scheming to breach their Barstool contracts by fabricating sexual harassment allegations. The claims were unveiled in his latest memoir, “Cancel Me If You Can.”

The founder of Barstool Sports asserts in his book that the duo’s dissatisfaction with their compensation and contractual obligations only emerged after an encounter with YouTube sensation Logan Paul.

Portnoy recounts that prior to meeting Logan Paul, there were no apparent signs of dissatisfaction from Cooper and Franklyn concerning their circumstances. This account is detailed in his memoir and reported by the Daily Mail.

According to Portnoy, in April 2019, Cooper and Franklyn traveled to Los Angeles to guest on Logan Paul’s podcast. During this visit, Paul allegedly sowed seeds of discord, critiquing their contractual terms and earnings, which left the two hosts pondering their arrangements.

Portnoy, aged 49, believes that after this meeting, both Cooper and Franklyn began increasingly voicing their discontent about being under the Barstool umbrella. The pair co-hosted the popular “Call Her Daddy” podcast, which Barstool Sports owned and distributed from 2018 until 2021.

“First, they stopped coming into the office. Near the end of 2019 was really when the major trouble started brewing,” Portnoy alleged in his memoir.

“Call Her Daddy had hired a lawyer and wanted to have a meeting with us. The lawyer brought a list of demands so preposterous that I couldn’t even make it through the meeting,” he added.

The media personality claimed the women “wanted a million dollars a year, the right to sell their own ads, ownership over the intellectual property of Call Her Daddy, and 90 percent of their merch sales.”

Additionally, Portnoy claimed Cooper, 31, and Franklyn, 33, no longer wanted to be qualified as employees of Barstool Sports.

To try to force their contract demands, Portnoy alleged that the women “simply stopped putting out their podcast.”

Portnoy said he met with the podcast hosts and proposed “the most generous offer in Barstool history” that would have made both Cooper and Franklyn instant millionaires.

Later, Portnoy claimed he got a phone call from Cooper asking if she could meet with the Barstool boss again — without Franklyn.

“‘I love the deal you proposed, and I want to take it. But Sofia is never going to take it,’” Portnoy claimed Cooper told him in his memoir.

”’Okay,’ I said. ‘You guys realize I’ll sue you if you take the podcast to another network before your contract is out, right?’ Alex claimed to me that they had a plan to say they were both sexually harassed at Barstool,” he alleged.

“That was it. That was their game plan to get out of their contractual obligation to Barstool Sports in the event that I did not relinquish their IP to them and wish them well on their merry way as they jumped ship to a rival podcast network.”

Portnoy wrote in his book that though his company had been attacked “for making sexist jokes,” they had “never been accused of inappropriate workplace conduct.”

“But had they decided to go that route, even though it was patently untrue, it would have been a tough fight for us to win in the court of public opinion. Nobody would have believed my side of the story,” he penned.

“I realize that this is a heavy accusation I just made: how Call Her Daddy was allegedly planning to break their contract with us by lying about sexual harassment at Barstool.”

Portnoy doubled down on his claims, claiming to the Wall Street Journal that the women “hated each other.”

Page Six has reached out to reps for Paul, Cooper and Franklyn but did not immediately hear back.

Franklyn left the “Call Her Daddy” podcast in 2020, claiming that “contract negotiations fell apart.”

She went on to create her own podcast titled “Sofia with an F.” Franklyn will address her fallout with Cooper in her forthcoming memoir, “Daddy Issues.”

Cooper later signed a three-year contract with Spotify for $60 million in 2021 and inked a deal estimated at over $100 million in 2024.

In June 2021, Cooper signed a deal worth $60 million to exclusively present the podcast on Spotify while Barstool continued to handle the show’s merchandising.

Three years later, the influencer signed a $125 million deal with Sirius XM to replace Spotify as her distribution and advertising partner.

“Cancel Me If You Can” is now available for purchase.

Melissa Gilbert’s Heartfelt Tribute to Daveigh Chase: A Cautionary Tale for ‘Stage Parents

0

Melissa Gilbert criticized the “stage parents” of Daveigh Chase in light of the former child actor’s unfortunate passing on Monday.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Gilbert reflected on their time together more than two decades ago for an unreleased TV pilot, recalling Chase as “bubbly, sweet, and professional.”

“But there was an underlying force, a drive to perform… for her parents,” noted Gilbert, who is now 62.

The former “Little House on the Prairie” star observed that while some child actors, including herself, manage to grow up well-adjusted due to “solid and wise parenting,” others suffer as their caregivers lose focus on their true role.

“Upon reading about Daveigh’s death today, my heart is truly broken,” Gilbert wrote. “I definitely comprehend addiction, yet the circumstances surrounding this sweet girl’s death are far more complex.”

In a desperate plea, Gilbert told parents to only get their kids into the entertainment industry if “they are doing it for the right reasons.”

“To be sure it’s something the child really wants,” she continued. “To be sure that that child has a life outside of the industry that is thriving and full of friends and responsibilities and ‘normal’ things.”

Gilbert, whose post included a picture of Chase, concluded her message by telling stage parents to “memorize this sweet girl’s face and her story so that it never happens again.”

Chase died June 16 at age 35 after she was diagnosed with meningitis and several “serious” blood infections that turned her body septic, according to her boyfriend Roy Hernandez.

Her cause of death was revealed to be AIDS, with chronic polysubstance use — described as the use of more than one drug in a short period of time — listed as a contributing factor.

Chase had reportedly been living near Los Angeles’ infamous Skid Row before her passing.

In the days leading up to her death, Hernandez had created a GoFundMe fundraiser to help the late actress “find comfort and peace.”

At the time of the campaign’s creation, Chase’s condition had “become critical,” with doctors telling Hernandez “she may not have much time left.”

Chase’s mom, Cathy Chase, was stunned and “devastated” over her daughter’s tragic death.

“I let out this guttural scream and I just was running,” she told the Daily Mail earlier this month. “And these weird sounds were coming out of me, these kind of, like, primeval sounds.”

Chase was best known for starring in the Disney film “Lilo & Stitch” and the horror movie “The Ring,” the latter of which earned her an MTV Movie Award for Best Villain.

Drone Collision Alert: Helicopter’s Close Call with RC Plane Near JFK After JetBlue Incident

0

In an unsettling incident on Monday afternoon, a helicopter pilot reported nearly colliding with a massive remote-controlled airplane near John F. Kennedy International Airport. This alarming report marks the second aviation safety concern at JFK on the same day, as captured in the newly released air traffic control recordings.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the helicopter pilot navigating close to JFK relayed that a remote-control aircraft came unsettlingly close to their helicopter.

This unsettling encounter occurred just hours following another incident, where a JetBlue pilot reported a potential drone strike as the aircraft was making its approach to JFK for landing.

LiveATC obtained air traffic control audio documenting the helicopter pilot’s report of the near miss, which occurred above the northern area of Floyd Bennett Field.

When questioned if the object might have been a drone, the pilot clarified it was a significant model of a remote-controlled airplane, flying at an altitude of 500 feet.

JFK air traffic control issued a warning to nearby pilots of an unauthorized unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operating in protected airspace, according to ATIS.guru, which collects live digital messages from airports around the world.

According to the warning, a “red and white” remote-controlled airplane was spotted flying at roughly 4:05 p.m. local time.

It was observed at an altitude of 500 feet, placing it within the typical flight path of low-flying commercial aircraft approaching the airport, according to the ATIS warning.

The aircraft was reported about 1 mile from the Canarsie (CRI) navigation beacon, a key waypoint used by aircraft lining up to land at JFK.

The helicopter pilot also told controllers he saw “a couple other ones on the ground” that appeared to be preparing to take off from what he described as an RC flying area near Floyd Bennett Field.

Air traffic controllers told the pilot they would notify NYPD Aviation to investigate the report.

Asked whether the aircraft had struck his helicopter, the pilot responded: “No, I just missed it, but I didn’t hit it or anything.”

Authorities have not indicated whether the helicopter encounter and the earlier reported drone strike involving the JetBlue flight are connected.

The FAA said it notified local authorities about the report.

Flying a remote-controlled aircraft or drone near a major airport is illegal and poses a serious safety risk to aircraft operating in the area, according to the agency.

Earlier Monday morning, a JetBlue flight reported striking a drone at approximately 3,000 feet roughly 10 miles from JFK, the FAA said.

Air traffic control audio from that incident indicated the object appeared to strike the aircraft above the cockpit.

The flight landed safely, and a post-flight inspection did not reveal any damage to the aircraft, JetBlue said.

The FAA is investigating the reported JetBlue incident.

Cara Delevingne Opens Up About Life-Threatening Overdose Amidst Addiction Struggles

0

Cara Delevingne has candidly confessed that during the peak of her drug addiction, she experienced a near-fatal overdose. This difficult period coincided with the loss of several modeling opportunities due to her struggles.

At 33, the supermodel has been open about her addiction battles, which eventually pushed her to enroll in a 12-step program. This decision came after troubling images surfaced, showing her visibly unkempt and anxious at the Van Nuys airport.

Cara has now disclosed that an overdose led her to the hospital, where she was administered naloxone, having unknowingly consumed what she believed to be opiates mixed with cocaine.

She also revisited the distressing aftermath of images capturing her in a bedraggled state as she left the Burning Man Festival. Cara revealed that shortly before those photos were taken, she had suffered a seizure triggered by the drugs she ingested during the event.

Discussing the damaging impact of her addiction on her professional life, Cara remarked, ‘It’s definitely not a positive image. In modeling, one is expected to uphold certain brand standards, as clearly outlined in the contracts we sign.’

‘It went super quiet. Everyone went very silent. And I knew I needed to get sober, so I medically was weaned off GBL [gamma-butyrolactone], which probably is the hardest one to come off.

‘But I couldn’t do it at home. I couldn’t deal because the more sober I got, the more I realised how badly I f***ed up, and that just was too much.’

Speaking on The Louis Theroux Podcast, Cara added: ‘So, I couldn’t stay sober, and then I overdosed because I think there was opiates in the cocaine I think I’d bought or something.

‘So I was narcanned [given a dose of naloxone, which reverses the impacts of opioid overdose], was in hospital, and that’s really when everything happened because when I woke up.’

Louis explained: ‘For people who don’t know, it’s the kind of quick fix, knocks the fentanyl off your neuroreceptors. You’re revived almost in the middle of overdosing.’

Cara then added: ‘Yeah. It’s heavy. I was being held down by men to a thing, and I didn’t know what was happening. It was horrible,’ sharing that it was her girlfriend who called the police and ambulance following her overdose.

She added that when she woke up from the overdose, she ‘wanted to die,’ as she struggled with withdrawal symptoms.

‘What you’ve just put people you love through, and you see the pain in their face. The shame. Oh, that makes me want to cry, and it’s horrible,’ she said.

‘It’s hard to forgive yourself for that. That was one of the most painful things that’s happened to me, so doing that to someone else is really rough.’

Cara went on to speak about the ‘rock bottom’ of the snaps taken of her in 2022 leaving Burning Man in Los Angeles.

At the time, she was seen looking jittery outside Van Nuys airport. At one point, she walked around only in her socks and held a conversation on the phone while smoking.

She said: ‘Dishevelled. Yeah, mentally unwell for sure, not lack of sleep. I’d just had a seizure. I was not sober, for sure.

‘I was taking a lot of drugs, there was a certain amount of time we had to leave, and I always overpack for Burning Man.

‘I was just carrying loads of suitcases, and my body just couldn’t take it, and I had a seizure. Which again, never seen myself have a seizure, but I’ve had a bunch.’

The model also reflected on the 'horrible' fallout from the snaps that showed her in a dishevelled state while leaving the Burning Man Festival

Describing the seizure as ‘drug-induced,’ Cara explained: ‘Got home, desperately trying to find more drugs because I hadn’t slept. Maybe found some drugs at the house, did them, went to the airport, got out without shoes.

‘I had so much stuff in my hair, after Burning Man, I hadn’t showered probably, so there’s just sand. Hair looks crazy.

‘You can just see it in the eyes. I look absolutely wild and feral and not well, and I’m just smoking a cigarette, wearing a Free Britney T-shirt or something.’

Louis asked whether the images sparked the beginning of her ‘recovery journey,’ and Cara replied: ‘Yeah, for sure because people saw it. It was everywhere. I lost jobs. That sucked. People were really worried. That sucked. I got so many messages. It was horrible.’

Cara has previously shared that one of her biggest problems was with ketamine after she started experimenting with drugs at the age of 14.

Opening up on the latest episode of Call Her Daddy with Alex Cooper, Cara detailed her troubled teenage years and battle with substance abuse.

The singer said: ‘Because I didn’t have money at that point, I started buying drugs to sell them and to do them.

‘When I bought the drugs to sell, I just did them all by myself. Not all of them. I sold half of them, did the rest.

‘So I basically did the drugs for free. Wasn’t a great drug dealer.’

The actress added: ‘I loved what drugs made me feel. I loved not having to think about my mum.

‘I loved not having to feel the pressure of not being good at school, not feeling good enough or loving myself. All of that went away.’

Cara said it was the moment her drug use escalated that she began taking acid ‘every day’ and suffered terrifying hallucinations.

She recalled: ‘I thought that my dad was God and my mum was the devil and I had to kill her to save the end of the world. Like, I lost my mind.’

Cara said her mental health deteriorated so badly she had a breakdown at 15 years old.

She explained: ‘I just became suicidal. My whole world exploded and I was like, “I think everything I’ve thought for the last 15 years is wrong”.

‘My brain was absolutely in turmoil. I would just try and knock myself out physically because I wanted to escape.’

While talking to Variety last year in May, Cara opened up about being sober and stated, ‘You’re not alone.’

She then encouraged, ‘If I can do it, anyone can. But you need to communicate and be honest about it as much as you can – especially with yourself.

‘I think that’s what I’ve always done with anything in this business. Whether it’s been being vocal about anxiety, depression, recovery, anything, it’s just you owe it to people to talk about your struggles…

‘Because being in this world is not perfect. No one is perfect. So to be honest, it’s the least I can do.’

And during an interview with Vogue, Cara was candid about her decision to check into the 12-step program in 2022.

‘Before I was always into the quick fix of healing, going to a weeklong retreat or to a course for trauma, say, and that helped for a minute, but it didn’t ever really get to the nitty-gritty, the deeper stuff.’

The model explained, ‘This time I realized that 12-step treatment was the best thing, and it was about not being ashamed of that.

‘The community made a huge difference. The opposite of addiction is connection, and I really found that in 12-step.’
