Republicans Rally Behind US Men’s Soccer Team: A Patriotic Kickoff to the World Cup

0

The moment has arrived.

On Thursday, the FIFA 2026 World Cup officially kicked off, spanning the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with the inaugural match taking place in Mexico.

Now, it’s time for the United States to shine! The U.S. is set to host its first tournament match, with the national men’s team making their debut against Paraguay in a Group D clash, scheduled for Friday night in Los Angeles.

In other sporting news, earlier this week, the Republicans and Democrats engaged in their annual friendly rivalry at the charity Congressional Baseball Game held Wednesday night at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. My colleague Nick Arama reported on the unsurprising outcome, as the GOP swiftly defeated the Democrats with a score of 11-2. If you missed Deputy Managing Editor Susie Moore’s coverage of Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO) making an impressive outfield catch, be sure to check out the linked story below.

Returning to soccer, as I mentioned earlier, the Department of Homeland Security has been diligently preparing for months to ensure the safety and security of all FIFA event venues, ensuring a smooth experience for fans and players alike until the international soccer tournament concludes on July 19.

Back to soccer. As I previously wrote, the Department of Homeland Security has been prepping for months to make sure that every game venue for the FIFA event is safe and secure for guests and participants, between now and July 19 when the international soccer competition ends.

Father and Teen Son Caught in Retail Theft Bust

0

By Staff Report

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Authorities have arrested Joshua Cas Wilkes, aged 41, along with his teenage son, following allegations that they stole goods from Bass Pro Shops on three separate occasions.

On the evening of June 11, at approximately 7:45 p.m., deputies from the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office were called to the Bass Pro Shops located at 2650 Bass Pro Shops Blvd. This response came after reports that Wilkes and his son had exited the store and were attempting to evade an Asset Protection Officer (APO).

According to a report from the APO, surveillance footage captured on May 20 shows Wilkes and his son entering the store at around 6 p.m. The video allegedly depicts the pair scouting the flashlight aisle before selecting items worth $279.96. They are accused of removing the products from their packaging, concealing them within their clothing and bags, and leaving the premises without payment.

Further surveillance from June 9 reportedly captured the duo repeating similar actions. On this occasion, they allegedly selected items valued at $539.94, concealed them, and exited the store without making any purchase.

On June 11, the suspects entered the store again and allegedly began selecting items and removing them from their packaging. The APO confronted them and told them to stop, but they allegedly fled on foot from the store without paying for the items, valued at $334.97. Bass Pro Shops staff reportedly maintained sight of the suspects and reported that they discarded the stolen items as they ran. Deputies arrived and detained Wilkes and his son.

Wilkes reportedly stated spontaneously that he had fentanyl, and a search incident to arrest reportedly produced 0.02 grams of fentanyl.

Wilkes and his son were both charged with organized retail theft over $750, tampering with evidence, and resisting a retail merchant. Wilkes has also been charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Wilkes has seven felony convictions (non-violent) and five misdemeanor convictions (two violent); he spent six months in the Alachua County jail following a domestic battery arrest in February 2025. Judge Susan Miller-Jones set bail at $215,000.

Additional informaton on Wilkes’ son was not provided.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Governor DeSantis Approves Six New Florida Laws: Discover Their Implementation Dates

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – With the legislative year nearing its conclusion, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is wrapping up his duties by endorsing a slew of new bills. To date, he has signed more than 170 legislative measures into law.

On Friday, the Governor added a few more laws to the list, many of which are scheduled to be implemented in the coming month. As the state prepares for these changes, the focus remains on understanding the impact and implications of these new laws.

Among the most recent additions is Senate Bill 298, which addresses public records related to domestic violence. This particular legislation broadens the existing exemptions for victims involved in Florida’s confidentiality program, aiming to enhance privacy and protection for those affected by domestic violence.

As Floridians await the enactment of these laws, the state’s legal landscape continues to evolve, reflecting the administration’s ongoing legislative agenda.

Senate Bill 298 expands two existing public record exemptions for victims of domestic violence who participate in the state’s confidentiality program.

The law takes effect on July 1.

HB 625 — JAC Members

House Bill 625 increases the number of the Justice Administrative Commission from four to seven.

The law takes effect on July 1.

HB 655 — Public Records (Attorney Meetings)

House Bill 655 creates a public meeting exemption for state and local agencies to meet privately with their attorneys under the Bert Harris Act.

More specifically, the law exempts the meeting’s transcripts from public disclosure until the relevant property-rights claim is settled (or when the statute of limitations ends, if there’s no litigation).

The law takes effect on July 1.

SB 820 — Problem-Solving Court Reports

Senate Bill 820 specifies additional data that must be presented in the annual problem-solving court reports prepared by the Office of the State Courts Administrator.

The law creates data reporting requirements for early childhood court and veterans treatment court programs, and amends reporting requirements for mental health and drug courts.

The law takes effect on July 1.

HB 1293 — Fraudulent Entry of Homes

House Bill 1293 creates a new crime of fraudulent entry of a residential dwelling unit.

This statute prohibits someone from entering into or taking possession of a residential dwelling unit by purposefully:

  • Making a materially false statement in writing, relating to the person’s identity in any rental application for a residential tenancy

  • Presenting forged or counterfeit documents to the landlord of a residential dwelling unit

  • Impersonating another person in whose name a rental application is submitted to a landlord for the purpose of executing a rental agreement or taking possession of a residential dwelling unit

Violations of this law are punishable as third-degree felonies.

The law takes effect on Oct. 1.

SB 1690 — Early Learning Services

Senate Bill 1690 makes several statutory changes relating to early childhood education and childcare regulation.

For example, the law requires the DCF and local licensing agencies to disseminate electronically certain information regarding all childcare facilities to the community.

The law takes effect on July 1.

Disney World Florida Enhances Safety Measures: Over 400 Alligators Removed Following 2016 Tragedy

0

As summer approaches, countless Americans are gearing up for a magical getaway at Walt Disney World. In response, officials are heightening safety measures by continuing the removal of hundreds of alligators from the area.

This safety initiative follows a tragic incident a decade ago when a young child was fatally attacked by an alligator at the Disney Resort and Spa in Orlando, Florida. Since then, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has successfully removed more than 400 alligators from Disney properties.

According to WDW News Today, a leading source for Disney Park updates, a total of 414 alligators have been relocated in the ten years following the tragic event.

The FWC targets alligators over four feet in length, which are deemed potentially dangerous to people, pets, or property. These animals qualify for removal by licensed trappers to ensure public safety.

Smaller alligators generally do not pose a significant threat to humans or pets unless provoked. The FWC advises against handling these creatures, as doing so not only risks serious injury or infection but is also illegal.

Trappers do not relocate alligators because they often try to return to the location where they were captured.

In addition to removing a plethora of gators, officials at Disney have also constructed barriers and other precautions to keep alligators from getting too close to guests.

Some safety features include fencing, boulder walls and warning signs on the property near the water.

The remote areas to which they would be relocated already host healthy alligator populations and established social structures.

Introducing new alligators would disrupt the order and lead to fighting between the resident gators and the newcomers.

Thankfully, Florida has a healthy, stable population of these creatures, totaling about 1.3 million across all 67 counties.

The removal of these nuisance alligators does not have a significant impact on the species whatsoever.

Thankfully, officials with the FWC continue to work closely with Disney to ensure the safest conditions and prevent an avoidable tragedy.

Subaru Hit-and-Run: Cyclist Struck and Left by Reckless Driver, Say Police

Background: A section of Atlantic Avenue east of Whites Neck Road in Millville, Del. (Google Maps). Inset: Kara Gilmore (Delaware State Police).

A tragic incident unfolded in Delaware when a woman drove her Subaru into a cyclist, resulting in his death, according to local authorities. The driver only stopped when her vehicle eventually broke down.

Kara Gilmore, aged 46, is facing multiple charges, including second-degree vehicular homicide, in connection to the death of 52-year-old Duane Pershing, as reported by the Delaware State Police. Additional charges against her include fleeing the scene of a fatal accident, driving under the influence of alcohol, and various traffic violations.

The accident occurred on Tuesday around 9 p.m. as Pershing was cycling westbound in the eastbound bike lane on Atlantic Avenue in Millville, Delaware. Simultaneously, Gilmore was driving her Subaru Forester eastward on the same road, placing them on a direct collision course.

The collision took place on Atlantic Avenue, just east of Whites Neck Road in Millville, a small town situated four miles from the Atlantic Coast. Authorities state that Gilmore veered out of her lane, entered the bike lane, and struck the cyclist.

Despite the impact, Gilmore allegedly continued driving until her SUV broke down in a nearby bank’s parking lot, where officers from the Ocean View Police Department discovered her. Upon contact, troopers noted that Gilmore exhibited several signs of impairment.

Law enforcement gave her field sobriety tests and then arrested her for DUI.

Pershing was found at the crash site and was flown to a regional hospital “with life-threatening injuries,” troopers said. He died the following day.

After Gilmore’s arrest, she was released on a $3,404 unsecured bond. However, following Pershing’s death, several of her charges were upgraded, and she was taken into custody in Maryland, where she is from.

The Delaware State Police said on Thursday that the crash investigation was ongoing, and they urged anyone with information to contact them.

Exclusive: Insider Reveals Family Tensions as Teresa Giudice Faces Claims of Milania Leaving Home

Today, a report emerged suggesting that Milania Giudice, daughter of The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, was arrested for assault. In response, Reality Blurb sought clarification from a source close to the situation, who offered insight into some recent family dynamics involving Milania.

EXCLUSIVE: Did Teresa Giudice Kick Milania Out of Their Family Home? RHONJ Insider Speaks Out on Family Conflict Amid News of Milania's Arrest

Credit: Instagram

Rumors had circulated that Milania, who is 20 years old, was forced to leave her family home. However, insiders have refuted these claims, asserting that they do not accurately reflect the situation.

“There have been some challenges involving Milania at home,” shared the sources, speaking about the young woman who is currently pursuing a degree in advertising and public relations at the University of Tampa. “However, the situation is not as it has been portrayed.”

The insiders elaborated further, saying, “Milania returned home from Miami before her finals, overwhelmed by academic stress. She was hesitant to go back due to the pressure she felt. Teresa, her mother, gave her some tough love, insisting that returning to school was not up for debate.”

“Milania came home from Miami prior to her finals because she was having some stress from school,” they continued. “She did not want to return due to all the stress she felt she was under. Teresa gave her a dose of tough love and told her she had to go back to school and it wasn’t an option.”

“This is where the rumor came from that she was kicked out but it’s simply not true,” an insider added.

As previously reported, Milania was charged on May 14 with “simple assault” and “purposely/ knowingly causing a bodily injury.”

A court spokesperson shared that the case had been classified as domestic violence. A hearing was held on May 19, and no plea was entered.

When it comes to her arrest, an insider told Reality Blurb it stemmed from an “explosive” family fight during which one of her sisters decided to call the cops.

“There was so much going on that her sister ended up pulling the trigger to call the cops on her,” they added. “It was out of fear for people’s safety and for the fact that Milania was going at multiple people.”

To date, Milania, Bravo, and Teresa have yet to comment on the incident, and no further details have emerged.

Last month, Reality Blurb reported that Milania was showing off a new inner-lip tattoo just days before this alleged assault took place.

RHONJ‘s 15th season is currently filming, so it’s unlikely Teresa will be able to avoid discussing this on camera.

Mississippi Brothers Cortavious and Cortavion Hobbs Charged in Deputy Shooting Incident

0

A tragic series of events has unfolded in Mississippi, involving a family already in the spotlight for a serious crime. The brothers of a Mississippi teenager, accused of murdering an elderly couple, have allegedly been involved in a separate violent incident targeting law enforcement just days later.

The teenager, 17-year-old Cordarius Hobbs, reportedly broke into the Mendenhall home of 74-year-old Billy Blair and his 71-year-old wife, Virginia Carol Blair, on June 3, subsequently taking their lives, according to reports from WLBT.

In a related but separate incident, occurring on June 8, Cordarius’s siblings, Cortavious and Cortavion Hobbs, are accused of attempting to murder a Covington County deputy. The deputy, unfortunately, is now facing life-altering injuries.

Chief Deputy Sheriff Ricky Lott of Covington County shared with Fox News Digital that the brothers were involved in a pursuit following a traffic stop. This encounter reportedly escalated to gunfire from both Cortavious and Cortavion.

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s Media and Public Relations Specialist, Bailey Martin, confirmed to Fox News Digital that Cordarius, Cortavious, and Cortavion Hobbs are indeed brothers.

Lott said Cortavious and Cortavion were initially pulled over by Deputy Yates Rodney for a seat belt violation, saying the suspects were initially “cordial, friendly and light-hearted,” adding the two men were coming back from a fishing trip.

The deputy sheriff also said that Cortavious and Cortavion had marijuana in the car, stating that Yates could see a blunt inside.

When he questioned Cortavious and Cortavion about the drugs, Lott said the situation began getting tense.

A 2-to-3-mile-long high-speed chase ended when the driver got stuck in the mud, Lott said, adding that Rodney was shot in his shoulder.

The deputy sheriff said the doctor told Rodney that he “will never walk again,” saying the bullet nicked his lungs and spine.

Lott said Rodney has only been with the agency for around six months and recently got married. A GoFundMe set up for the injured deputy states that he “faces a long and challenging road to recovery.”

The deputy sheriff said Cortavious and Cortavion both have juvenile criminal records but couldn’t give any more details.

Cortavious and Cortavion were charged with attempted capital murder and hindering prosecution, and Cortavion is also charged with felony fleeing.

The shooting happened just days after the suspects’ brother, Cordarius, allegedly killed Billy and Virginia Blair.

Deputies with the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office were called to the couple’s home at around 12:24 p.m. on June 3 after family members couldn’t reach the couple.

Once at the house, according to officials, the deputies were met with gunfire.

Cordarius is charged with two counts of capital murder, one count of burglary, four counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, four counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and two counts of aggravated assault over 65 years old.

Illinois Couple Miraculously Escapes as EF-3 Tornado Levels Streator Home: Dramatic Rescue Caught on Video

0

A couple in their mid-60s is on the mend after an EF-3 tornado ripped through their Streator, Illinois home, leaving them trapped beneath the wreckage and both suffering injuries.

The severe weather struck as powerful storms swept through the Chicago area on Thursday night, prompting communities to begin recovery efforts on Friday.

Intense footage captured during the storm provides a glimpse into the chaos. In the video, Gary Rymek is heard saying, “I got her out,” followed by, “But I can’t get out.”

ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watch

The tornado descended on the couple’s residence on 12th Street, compelling them to seek refuge in a closet. Within seconds, the house began to collapse around them.

“The door flew out of my hand, and then everything just started falling apart,” Gary Rymek recounted.

Roxanne Rymek described the force of the collapse: “I felt through my back like I was being pushed really hard down to the floor, but what was happening is the roof fell on us.”

The couple exchanged what they feared might be final words. “All I remember is my wife telling me, you know, I love you, and I told her I love you, too,” Gary said.

When the storm passed, both were trapped beneath the wreckage. A nail had punctured Gary’s arm, and his ankle was crushed. He also feared another danger.

“The gas was coming out pretty bad, and I know just a little spark, it would have done it,” he said.

Despite his injuries, Gary used his good arm to free his wife. Roxanne escaped the debris, but her husband remained stuck underneath the collapsed home.

Roxanne recalled the moment as she tried to help him. “There was so much debris on top of him. Part of it was the roof because I remember seeing our shingles there,” she said, adding that she was unable to move the wreckage on her own.

Nearby, freelance journalist Scott Lasker was recording video when he heard Roxanne calling for help.

“And I ran over there immediately, and she said, ‘Can you please help me? My husband is trapped underneath our house that collapsed,’” Lasker said.

Video captures the chaotic scene as Lasker approached and spoke with Gary, who told him, “I think I got a broken leg.”

Lasker began helping to remove debris. “There were shelving units and doors, and it looks Iike they were crushing his leg, so I was able to get it off of half of his body to give him a little bit of comfort,” he said.

First responders soon arrived and freed Gary from the debris.

Both Gary and Roxanne Rymek were taken to a hospital. Though their home was destroyed, they expressed gratitude for surviving.

“I’m just very thankful I’m alive, that we are,” Gary said.

Roxanne suffered lacerations across her body, while Gary is expected to need surgery on his leg. The couple has also begun the process of determining where they will live next.

US and Iran Near Breakthrough in Uranium Talks Amid Ongoing Disagreements

0

In brief

  • The US and Iran have said that a deal to end the War in the Middle East is closer than ever.
  • Mediator Pakistan has expressed optimism that the elusive deal was finally in sight.

Officials from Iran and the United States have expressed a newfound optimism about reaching a deal to conclude the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. As the negotiations continue, Pakistan, acting as a mediator, has also conveyed a positive outlook, suggesting that a resolution might finally be on the horizon.

Despite this hopeful sentiment, the path to an agreement has been fraught with challenges. Weeks of intermittent negotiations have been overshadowed by threats and continued hostilities, even after a truce was established in April. Throughout this period, U.S. President Donald Trump has been vocal about his belief that a deal is imminent. However, these assurances have often been followed by delays and prolonged discussions, casting doubts on the timeline for a final agreement.

The situation remains complex, with conflicting reports emerging from both sides. Iranian state media has released details that diverge from the U.S. version of the negotiations, highlighting ongoing disagreements. This lack of consensus further complicates the prospects for a swift resolution.

Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, recently expressed his optimism on social media, referring to the “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding” as being closer than ever to realization. The memorandum, named after the Pakistani capital where previous talks have taken place, symbolizes the efforts to bridge the differences between the two nations.

In response, President Trump accused Iran of negotiating in bad faith and misrepresenting the terms of the agreement. He took to social media to share a screenshot of Araghchi’s message, underscoring the contentious nature of the dialogue. As the world watches, the next steps in these negotiations remain critical in determining whether peace in the region can finally be achieved.

Araghchi provided some details on the agreement in an interview with state television, saying it calls for the lifting of the US naval blockade of Iran’s ports and unspecified changes to the administration of the Strait of Hormuz, a key maritime trade route for oil and gas from the Gulf.

He also said the only way to deal with the country’s enriched uranium — which the US alleges is part of a nuclear weapons program — “is to dilute it inside Iran.”

‘Not 100 per cent’

Disputing Trump’s “bad faith” accusation, Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei said an agreement had now been reached with the US “on most points”.

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, whose country has been a key mediator since the initial talks, confirmed that “a final, agreed-upon text of the peace deal has been reached”.

“Peace has never been as close as it is now,” Sharif said, while acknowledging “incessant misinformation” surrounding the deal.

A senior US official also voiced optimism that the parties would be “signing this agreement over the next few days”.

“If I were to give you a confidence that we were going to be signing this agreement, I maybe would have said 75 per cent this morning, it’s probably more like 80-85 per cent now, but it’s not 100 per cent,” the official told reporters in a call.

The Swiss foreign ministry on Friday said it had been in contact with both the United States and Iran, and had “proposed Switzerland as the venue for a possible signing, should the parties agree to it”.

But Araghchi said that upon finalisation, a draft deal with the United States would be signed “remotely”, adding that this could happen “in the coming days.”

US ally Israel has said that Trump had promised it that any agreement would see Iran stripped of its enriched nuclear material, but Iran’s official IRNA news agency said this was not even on the table.

‘Benefits will flow’

According to IRNA’s account, after an initial agreement is signed, Iran and the United States would hold 60 more days of talks and “Iran’s right to enrich uranium and the retention of enriched material … will be emphasised with a view to their inclusion in the final agreement”.

Beyond this, according to IRNA, Iran would insist on managing traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has blockaded since the outbreak of the war, causing major disruptions to the global economy.

On Friday, Iran’s Mehr news agency, quoting a source close to the country’s negotiating team, said the deal would also see the release of US$24 billion ($34 billion) in frozen Iranian assets.

But those details clashed with a summary offered by a senior White House official, who told the Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency that Iran had agreed to dismantle its nuclear program, destroy its enriched uranium stockpile and reopen the strait — and that Iran would not see any of its frozen funds returned until it had honoured these commitments.

US Vice President JD Vance likewise said Iran was “not receiving any cash, and no funds are being released for simply signing a deal or attending a meeting”.

But, he added, if “Iran meets its obligations, then economic benefits will flow to them and to the entire region”.

Exposed: The Downfall of ‘Proud Pervert’ Terry Richardson and His Life in Exile

0

Perched on a porch, a pair of rocking chairs invites you to pause and take in the quintessential charm of this home. The front door, a striking shade of red, is complemented by storm shutters guarding the windows, while a white picket fence encloses the meticulously maintained yard. This clapboard house, nestled in a tranquil corner of upstate New York, could easily be the embodiment of the idyllic American countryside.

However, the contrast between this serene setting and the tumultuous world its current, notorious owner once inhabited is nothing short of astonishing.

As revealed by the Daily Mail, this picturesque retreat belongs to Terry Richardson, a decade after his illustrious career as a leading fashion photographer was dismantled following allegations of sexual assault, predatory conduct, and mistreatment of his subjects.

Once part of the glittering scene known as ‘Terryworld’ centered around his Manhattan studio, Richardson now resides in this colonial farmhouse-style mansion. The property features a swimming pool and is set amid expansive rolling hills, with a solitary SUV parked in the driveway.

Richardson, whose tattoos declare “Fight Back” and “Don’t Panic,” appeared to have little fight left when the Daily Mail captured him in town. Dressed in a simple brown t-shirt and beige slacks, he was seen casually picking up a bag of chips at a local grocery store.

At the peak of his career, he commanded a daily rate of $160,000. His work regularly appeared on the covers of glossies like Harpers Bazaar and GQ. He shot Barack Obama and Lady Gaga, made videos for Beyonce and put Miley Cyrus naked on that Wrecking Ball in a video that was viewed more than 665 million times.

He was, by his own admission, a ‘proud pervert’ whose work often crossed the line from sexually charged to downright explicit. He eschewed make-up and retouching, preferring a more ‘real’ aesthetic. Which is where the trouble crept in.

In 2017, he married his glamorous assistant, Alex ‘Skinny’ Bolotow. That same year, multiple models came forward to accuse him of taking the concept of ‘real’ much too far. His sets weren’t just sexually charged, they alleged, they were the site of sexual assaults where the photographer traded sexual acts for the privilege of being photographed by him.

Among Richardson’s accusers were designer Lindsay Jones, who claimed he forced her to perform oral sex on him at his Manhattan studio in 2007, while ex-model Caron Bernstein alleged that he assaulted her in 2003.

Model Jamie Peck claimed she felt like she had to give Richardson a hand job in 2004 due to his position of power, while Charlotte Waters claimed he treated her like a ‘sex puppet’ in 2009.

The allegations prompted news site Jezebel to dub him ‘the world’s most f***ed up fashion photographer,’ while the Guardian described him as ‘fashion’s shameful secret.’

Richardson has always emphatically denied any wrongdoing. He said he was never alone on sets with girls – there were always editors and stylists, a team, present. And he was neither charged with nor convicted of any crimes. But the damage to his reputation was done.

Suddenly, his transgressive portfolio – one of his earliest exhibitions featured a 4ft by 6ft image of Richardson with his face covered in semen – once seen as a liberating exploration of sexuality, came to be viewed by some as a disturbing tranche of sleaze.

Publishers who spotlighted his work and luxury brands who employed him promptly dropped him. He was cancelled.

He and Bolotow disappeared from the spotlight and the city – 120 miles north to this sprawling estate in Bearsville, a hamlet in the town of Woodstock. There, they became parents to twins, Rex and Roman, and perhaps anticipated a second act of settled domesticity.

If so, it didn’t quite work out as planned. The Daily Mail has learned that Richardson and Bolotow are no longer together. They divorced in 2024 but were, according to locals with whom we spoke, ‘living separately’ long before that.

Bolotow resides less than a mile away, in a turquoise clapboard property with their twins, who are now ten years old.

When approached by the Daily Mail, Bolotow, cradling a hairless dog named Henry that she described as a ‘chihuahua something,’ confirmed she was no longer with Richardson.

Bolotow used to be among his staunchest defenders, having featured in several of his raunchy shoots herself, and was quoted as saying she had ‘little respect’ for the models ‘who did things with Richardson and then later publicly blamed him for it.’

However, when quizzed about whether her perspective had changed now they were no longer together, she remained tight-lipped.

‘I live a quiet life,’ she said, adding that she had been in Woodstock for ‘too long.’

‘It’s an interesting place once you’re here for a while,’ she said, her distaste for the town clear in the grimace that fleeted across her face. ‘It’s a funny place.’

Bolotow said she wanted to move back to her old life in New York City after falling out of love not just with Richardson but the town they fled to when their star-studded life in Manhattan fell apart.

She closed her front door, saying: ‘I don’t talk to anybody,’ as she politely declined a sit-down interview.

Woodstock’s population is just 6,000. Trees decorated in multicolored crochet abound and rainbow crosswalks are a feature of almost every street in the artsy town.

The main drag is lined with independent stores and winding side streets give way to colorful and cozy residential properties like Bolotow’s.

On Tuesday afternoon, Richardson drove through the town to New York City where he stayed overnight before returning to his neighboring Bearsville the next morning.

A far cry from his former standout style – he was once instantly recognizable for his trademark jeans, plaid shirts and dark rimmed glasses – Richardson wore a Knicks shirt like millions more New Yorkers this week, perhaps in an effort to blend in.

Woodstock retailer Rebecca Turnow told the Daily Mail that the couple’s split is well-known among the community and they were separated for several years before they officially filed for divorce.

‘They have chosen to live here in obscurity,’ Turnow said.

‘They are people who have been very good neighbors and good members of the community as far as I know them.

‘It’s important that they and their minor children should be able to live the quiet life that they want to live.’

Perhaps surprisingly, it wasn’t Richardson, who once pictured himself flossing his teeth with the string of a still-inserted tampon, who provoked the most marked reaction from residents but his former wife.

One waitress at a local cafe, who did not wish to be identified, said Bolotow had a reputation for being ‘abrasive’ within the close-knit community while describing feuds which may give some indication as to why she is so keen to leave the town.

‘I have seen her around town, and my friends who own Moonrise Bagels said she left a really rude comment on their page,’ she said.

‘They were closing their Kingston venue, and she wrote, ‘I wish they would close their Woodstock one too.’ This is the kind of thing she is known for.’

When the couple first moved to Woodstock, Bolotow was heavily involved in the community. She was chair of the town’s Environmental Commission until 2023 and she opened an eco-friendly store on the high street in 2018.

However, she was ousted from her role at the commission, according to a local news report which described her as ‘feisty,’ following an alleged feud with other officials about a dumping ground.

She also quietly closed her store just a few years into its operations.

The Woodstock waitress added that despite his scandalous past, Richardson had fit in much more easily with local people and was well-liked for his mellow demeanor.

‘Terry is always very nice,’ she said. ‘He is definitely pleasant when he comes in.’

Another resident said Richardson was so charming that many have questioned the allegations against him.

‘I’m a woman, and in this country, one in five women have experienced sexual assault,’ one Woodstock local said.

‘But Terry has never been convicted, he’s always very nice to people around here.

‘I’m for women’s rights, I take that very seriously – but what’s been said about him may not be true.’

Certainly, Richardson has dismissed the allegations as ‘f***ing bulls***.’

Approached by the Daily Mail as he strolled across his front lawn on Wednesday he declined to talk about his life then or now, saying simply that he was ‘too tired,’ before retreating into the cool of that clapboard house.
