Pregnant Pixie Lott Flaunts Baby Bump in Stylish Reveal Ahead of Welcoming Second Child with Oliver Cheshire

On Wednesday, Pixie Lott showcased her growing baby bump in London, wearing an unbuttoned tailored shirt with blue and white stripes paired with a matching tie.

The 34-year-old singer is eagerly anticipating the arrival of her second child with husband Oliver Cheshire. She looked effortlessly stylish in her smart outfit.

Known for her hit “Mamma Do,” Pixie, who already has a 23-month-old son named Albert, flaunted her legs by pairing her ensemble with beige bubble shorts.

Her long blonde hair was styled into a sleek ponytail, and she added a touch of glamour with brown fur heels as she made her way to a waiting taxi.

Recently, Pixie shared with the Daily Mail her excitement about her new song, her return to Essex, and how she’s settling into her new home in preparation for the baby’s arrival.

‘Being a mum and expecting another one, moving house and learning life lessons that has shown me a completely different perspective. It’s shown me what is really important in life’.

She went on: ‘It’s given me a new focus. I’m someone who gets stuck in the past and I love anything nostalgic and I love the good old days. I’m finally learning to embrace change and move on. The future is amazing as well’.

Pixie said everything she does is with her son in mind, and her single was about her ‘coming of age’ after motherhood.

‘[Being a mum has] changed everything. It’s changed my perspective on everything. But I also feel lucky to be able to do what I love which is music, performing and writing songs. I’ll still be jumping around the stage, I think I’ve got like six weeks left in me’.

Meanwhile on her move out of Essex, she said: ‘For this stage of my life its the perfect move. We were in London for 15 years living in Battersea. It’s great having my mum and dad closeby’.

It comes after Pixie revealed exactly when she is set to welcome baby number two and told The Sun earlier this month, the Essex-born beauty revealed that she is just four weeks away from welcoming her newborn, with her last festival gig being Friday’s Flackstock.

She said: ‘I think the last gig [Flackstock] is going to be four weeks before the due date. So yeah, I think it’s going to be fine…

‘I did it last time and I’ve checked with the doc and he said that it’s fine to keep doing it as long as you feel good. So hopefully, I mean that last show, four weeks, I don’t know how long… Woo!’

Pixie also discussed how she feels while being pregnant, working and looking after an under two-year-old all in one go.

She divulged: ‘It’s more tiring being pregnant, waking up early and running around after him than the shows, because with the shows I get like an adrenaline that takes over so I don’t even think about it…

‘The tiring bit is the running around after the toilet fight.’

Last month, Pixie announced live on stage that she was expecting her second child at London’s Mighty Hoopla.

After revealing her pregnancy, Pixie cradled her blossoming bump and she flashed a radiant smile for the cheering crowd.

Her very public announcement came in contrast to her first pregnancy, which she kept a secret until she was 31 weeks along.

The pop star took to Instagram to break the joyous news in June 2023, showing off her bump in a black sports bra and leggings, while Oliver planted a kiss on her stomach.

While the hitmaker has previously revealed her desire to have a ‘big family’, telling The Sun in 2021: ‘I’m a big family girl, a very big family girl.

‘It is everything to me so I would love to have my own when I can find the time. It’s such an amazing thing to have.’

Pixie and Oliver met for the first time at a Select Model catwalk show back in 2010 and quickly struck up a romance.

The model then popped the question in November 2016 on the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral in London.

The couple finally tied the knot in June 2022 at Ely Cathedral after they were forced to cancel their wedding several times due to the Covid pandemic.

Shocking Revelations: ‘Top Gun’ Actor James Handy’s Cause of Death Unveiled

New insights have emerged surrounding the tragic death of James Handy, reportedly murdered by the son of his longtime girlfriend.

The Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s report, accessed by TMZ, reveals that the “Top Gun: Maverick” actor died from a stab wound to the torso, with “neck compression” cited as a contributing factor.

The National Institutes of Health explains that neck compressions can result from age-related deterioration, causing nerves in the neck to be compressed or subjected to undue stress.

The incident occurred on June 3, when 44-year-old Michael Gledhill allegedly attacked and fatally stabbed Handy outside their home in Tarzana, California. Handy was 81 years old at the time of his death.

According to the California Post, authorities discovered the “Jumanji” actor after responding to a call from Gledhill, who reportedly stated, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.”

Suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest, Handy was rushed to a local hospital and pronounced dead.

Shortly after, Michael — the live-in son of Handy’s partner of 30 years, Wendy Gledhill — allegedly waved down officers and told them he was the one they were looking for, according to a news release from the LAPD.

He was ultimately arrested and charged with one count of murder. If convicted, he faces up to 26 years in prison.

Speaking to The California Post, Wendy expressed her immense grief, saying, “I’m just trying to make it through one day at a time, a minute at a time.

“I loved James and my son. I still can’t believe it….I can’t believe my son did it,” the 76-year-old added before stepping inside.

However, she later confessed to TMZ that her son had been diagnosed with schizophrenia in July 2025 and was allegedly off his medication before the fatal stabbing.

As for Michael and Handy’s dynamic, she claimed the two were “cordial” — though they did not “always see eye-to-eye.”

She added, “[Handy’s family members] know I loved him so much. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry this happened.”

A few days later, she gave an insight into Handy’s final moments, telling the Daily Mail that the actor had woken up at 9 a.m. to “get the newspaper.”

Though “he didn’t make the coffee like he usually does,” Wendy explained that she didn’t think anything of it because she “heard the door open because he was getting the paper.”

Wendy — who remained in bed and didn’t hear anything during the horrifying attack — further told the outlet, “I can only assume my son was already out there and they started to argue, from my understanding, on the front yard.”

Thirty minutes later, the Los Angeles Police Department knocked on their front door, with Wendy explaining, “The first time I heard something was happening was when the police showed up.

“They said someone had called 911 and they told me someone was wrapped in a blanket outside the house.”

Wendy — who is “beyond devastated” and hasn’t left the house since the murder — also restated that she believed her son was off his meds at the time of the attack.

“I was with James for 31 years and of course I loved him dearly,” she said. “This is so difficult.”

Handy, who primarily kept his personal life out of the spotlight, had been acting since 1977.

He made his final public appearance in 2017.

Model Paulina Porizkova Embraces Fashion After 20-Pound Weight Gain

Renowned model Paulina Porizkova is making waves yet again, championing the cause of body positivity.

On Wednesday, June 10, Porizkova, now 61, took to Instagram to present a powerful visual narrative. She showcased how the same pair of jeans fit her after a 20-pound weight gain over five years. The initial clip featured Porizkova demonstrating the excess space around her waist in the jeans, which she paired with an eye-catching blue bra adorned with pink lace. She then transitioned to a current view, highlighting the changes over time.

“Same pair of jeans, a difference of five years and 20 pounds,” Porizkova narrated over the footage. Recollecting the past, she explained, “In the first photo, I had just finished shooting a reality show in Panama akin to Survivor, involving grueling four-hour physical challenges daily coupled with a meager diet.”

Reflecting on her physique at that time, Porizkova noted, “I was possibly at my thinnest, weighing in at 128 pounds,” a significant detail considering her height of 5’11”. However, she recounted the downside, mentioning that her “hips were so painful” that she resorted to “crawling upstairs and taking painkillers” for relief.

Despite the discomfort, she did acknowledge a positive aspect, stating, “I had pretty good muscle tone, though, from all the exercise.”

In the current photo, Porizkova tried on the same jeans with a black lace balconette bra. She wore the pants unzipped while snapping a mirror selfie. “I am 148 [pounds], I no longer fit into my old jeans and I suspect I never will again.”

She shared that throughout the past week, she’s been sorting through her closet to get rid of “half” the clothes she owns.

Paulina Porizkova Strips Down to Underwear to Show Her Imperfections 2

Paulina Porizkova got real about her body while getting dressed for the day. Porizkova, 60, took to Instagram on Wednesday, November 20, to get candid about her figure while getting ready. The model started the video in a “5-year-old bathrobe,” which she took off while turning around and exposing her bare back and tan underwear […]

Porizkova shared that after her bilateral hip replacement surgery in 2024, her body “changed.”

“My arms and my boobs got fuller, as did my lower belly,” she said while standing in a nude bra and underwear set. “In preparation for my wedding, I’ve been going to the gym four times a week, and I must say I’ve never felt so strong but my weight has stayed the same, and my proportions have stayed the same.”

She concluded her post by saying that “acceptance is not defeat” and that it’s “only the realization that one door is closed and it’s time to open another.”

“Sorting out my clothes for the move, and working on acceptance,” Porizkova captioned the post. “Have to remind myself that ACCEPTANCE IS NOT DEFEAT! Merely a different door.”

Boomtown Real Estate Market Experiences Decline After Surge in Buyer Interest

0

During the pandemic, Cape Coral emerged as a sought-after destination for homebuyers seeking affordable waterfront properties.

Situated approximately three hours west of Miami, this Florida community is famed for its extensive network of artificial canals and expansive nature reserves.

Historically, Cape Coral offered a cost-effective alternative to more expensive Florida cities like Tampa and Orlando. In 2020, it attracted a wave of middle-income families eager for a new start.

However, the allure has dimmed, with the Cape Coral-Fort Myers area now leading a downturn in the housing market. This year, about a third of major U.S. cities have witnessed a drop in median home sale prices, and this region has been hit the hardest.

According to the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the area’s home prices reached their zenith in early 2023. By the first quarter of 2026, there was a significant 9 percent decrease, bringing the median home sale price down to $341,250 year over year.

Cape Coral has plenty of company. Earlier this year, median home sale prices dipped in 39 out of the largest 129 US cities, according to a report from real estate data company ATTOM.

Real estate experts point to higher mortgage rates, rising property taxes, soaring homeowners’ insurance premiums and an excess supply of homes as factors that are weighing on demand and pushing prices down.

Florida has been severely impacted. ‘Florida’s market went from one of the hottest housing booms in modern history to a market that is finally normalizing,’ Jon Brooks, co-founder of Momentum Realty, told the Daily Mail.

‘The problem is prices, taxes, insurance and monthly payments rose much faster than local incomes. That created a market where demand eventually had to slow.’

The housing market became one of the biggest winners during the Covid-era migration wave.

Markets like Cape Coral and Fort Myers exploded, Brooks said, because they offered relative affordability while still delivering the ‘Florida lifestyle’ buyers wanted.

With ample opportunities for remote work during the pandemic, prices in Florida rose far beyond what local wages would support.

‘Builders and investors accelerated supply at the exact moment affordability started breaking down,’ Brooks told us.

‘Buyers today have leverage again, and sellers are realizing this is no longer the 2021 market.’

Bob Miller of Millshire Realty agreed, saying that during the pandemic, low interest rates and investor activity caused a sharp increase in home values.

‘Cape Coral is a perfect example of what happens when prices rise faster than fundamentals,’ Miller told the Daily Mail.

Today, higher mortgage rates, rising insurance costs, increased inventory and added condo fees are putting downward pressure on prices.

An aerial view of a residential community along a canal in Cape Coral

Ten Florida communities top the list of the US cities with the steepest condo price drops. The worst market is Cape Coral, where condo prices fell a staggering 33 percent since their peak in 2022.

Meanwhile, homeowners in Florida have some of the highest insurance rates of any state.

Data from the Coalition for an Insurable Future says premiums shot up 75 percent for Floridians between 2021 and 2025, far higher than the national average of 38 percent.

That’s mostly because the Sunshine State experiences dangerous flooding and hurricanes more frequently than other states.

Premiums are at their highest in the southern part of Florida, where severe weather threatens high concentrations of expensive homes, an Insurify analyst told CBS News.

Brooks noted the housing collapse is only hurting some areas in Florida, while others are thriving.

In prime coastal Florida cities, luxury properties are still seeing an influx of demand as buyers flee high-cost states like New York, New Jersey and California.

Florida has no state income tax, which makes it especially appealing to billionaires and business owners.

‘This isn’t just a Florida issue,’ Miller told us. ‘We’re seeing similar corrections in markets that experienced some of the fastest appreciation during the housing boom.’

Take the Lone Star State, for example.

Austin, Texas, had one of the fastest-growing housing cycles in the country during Covid.

When tech workers started moving to the city, developers responded with frantic apartment construction.

Brooks noted that this led to fresh supply hitting the market just as demand slowed.

As demand waned, owners were left with luxury condos that were dropping drastically in value.

‘The largest corrections are generally happening in areas that saw the most speculative growth and the biggest construction booms during the pandemic years,’ said Brooks.

Austin is now among four US metro areas that have 50 percent more homes on the market than pre-pandemic norms, Realtor.com reports.

‘In the south, you have more sellers of new construction because of the building boom that happened during the pandemic, and fewer buyers because they are facing high insurance and property taxes on top of high mortgage rates,’ Redfin chief economist Daryl Fairweather previously told the Daily Mail.

While today’s buyers have ‘more negotiating power’ in those once-sought-after neighborhoods, they also have to factor in added costs like higher mortgage rates, insurance, taxes and HOA fees.

MasterChef’s Melissa Leong Takes a Stand: Calls Out Georgia Love’s Controversial Video

MasterChef judge Melissa Leong has expressed her disappointment following an ‘offensive’ video shared by Seven News reporter Georgia Love on Instagram, which she described as deeply ‘hurtful’.

On Monday, 33-year-old Love found herself at the center of criticism after she posted a video showing a cat behind the window of a dumpling restaurant in Melbourne. The caption read: ‘Shop attendant or lunch?!’

Leong, who is 39 and of Chinese-Singaporean heritage, responded to the post on Wednesday via Instagram Stories, addressing the impact of what she termed ‘casual racism’.

Having a personal acquaintance with Love—likely through their connections at Channel 10 where Leong is a presenter and Love was formerly with 10 News First—Leong expressed hope that Love’s apology is sincere and heartfelt.

In her statement, Leong commented, ‘”Shop attendant or lunch?” was written on a video of a cat in a Chinese restaurant by someone I know, who also holds considerable influence,’ highlighting her concerns over the incident.

‘Casual racism from nice people is possibly the most betraying and insidious kind.’

Melissa admitted she felt ‘bummed’ about the situation, especially as Georgia was recently accused of sharing another ‘racist’ Instagram post in 2013.

‘Not angry, just completely bummed that this video exists and that it isn’t the first joke of this kind made by her,’ she wrote.

‘Georgia, I really hope your remorse is real and that you grow in the right direction, because this stuff hurts more people, more than you think,’ Leong added.

‘We must be allies for each other for a better world for all.’

It comes after Channel Seven reportedly launched an investigation into Love’s ‘racist’ social media post.

A source told The Daily Telegraph the network is taking the matter seriously.

The ex-reality star, who is a Melbourne-based news reporter for Seven, had posted the ‘offensive’ video of the cat behind the window of an Asian restaurant on Monday.

She deleted the post and apologised after being called out by ‘influencer watchdog’ Instagram account Aussie Influencer Opinions.

The same account later discovered another of Love’s posts from February 2013 in which she made a similar joke about domestic pets and Asian restaurants.

Love has not addressed the 2013 post but did apologise for the ‘Shop attendant or lunch?!’ post when she was called out on Monday.

‘Earlier I posted a video of a cat in a restaurant window. I meant for this to be a joke about an animal being in a restaurant at lunch service time,’ she said.

‘I meant absolutely no insinuation about the type of animal nor the type of restaurant, but I see that my post did not come across like that and was offensive.

‘I sincerely apologise for the oversight and offence I have caused. Thank you to those who called me out. This is what we need to make sure we are all accountable and do better.

‘Again, I apologise from the bottom of my heart for the offence caused.’

Kennedy Center Board Urges Delay on Trump Name Removal Decision Due by Friday

0

In a last-minute push, the board appointed by President Donald Trump at the Kennedy Center is attempting to retain his name on the building’s facade, facing a deadline imposed by a court to remove it by Friday.

On Thursday, the board decided to request a suspension of a U.S. District Judge’s ruling from May 29, which declared that Trump’s name was added to the Kennedy Center unlawfully. This move was disclosed by an insider familiar with the private meeting, who spoke on condition of anonymity. The formal appeal was submitted late Thursday.

Judge Christopher Cooper determined that only Congress has the authority to change the Kennedy Center’s name, mandating the removal of Trump’s name by Friday. Additionally, he halted plans by the administration to close the venue for extensive renovations, initially scheduled to commence in July and span two years.

This board decision contrasts with a June 4 memo from the Kennedy Center’s Office of General Counsel, which instructed staff to use “The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts” or simply “Kennedy Center” in email signatures, letterhead, and other official documents.

Notably, the Kennedy Center’s website has already omitted Trump’s name. An email distributed earlier this week to members, promoting ticket packages for the June 28 Mark Twain Award for American Humor ceremony, was sent from the Kennedy Center without mentioning Trump.

“The Trump administration’s 11th hour gambit after waiting nearly two weeks evinces desperation,” Norm Eisen, a board member at Democracy Defenders Action, and Nathaniel Zelinsky, senior counsel at the Washington Litigation Group, said in a statement. “That is what they should be feeling because they don’t have a legal leg to stand on. We will be vigorously contesting this latest ploy as we have throughout the case on behalf of Congresswoman Beatty and the American people.”

They represent Rep. Joyce Beatty, D-Ohio, an ex-officio member of the Kennedy Center’s board who filed the lawsuit seeking to remove Trump’s name from the institution.

After ignoring the Kennedy Center for much of his first term, Trump has wielded tremendous influence over the venue during his return to office. Just a month into his second term, he ousted the center’s previous leadership and replaced it with a hand-picked board of trustees that named him chairman. He brought in Richard Grenell to serve as president, a position he held until March when Matt Floca assumed the role.

The center’s lineup has included more Trump-friendly programming, serving as the venue for events such as the premiere of first lady Melania Trump’s documentary, “Melania.”

The board also announced it had renamed the facility the Trump Kennedy Center, a change scholars and lawmakers say must be initiated by Congress, and physically added the president’s name to the building’s facade.

The fallout from the arts community was swift and intense. Actor Issa Rae, musician Bela Fleck and author Louise Penny were among the numerous artists who withdrew from appearances, while consultants such as musician Ben Folds and singer Renée Fleming resigned. Earlier this month, the executive director of the National Symphony Orchestra, Jean Davidson, left to head the Los Angeles-based Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.

In addition to voting on the stay on Thursday, the board backed a resolution recognizing Trump’s “commitment to uphold this cherished American institution.”

Taylor Swift Enlists Steven Spielberg for Filming at Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction with Travis Kelce

0

Hands free, they twirled in delight.

Taylor Swift had a special request for Steven Spielberg at her Songwriters Hall of Fame induction on Thursday—capture a dance moment of her and Travis Kelce.

In a light-hearted clip shared by Variety on X, the acclaimed singer turned her phone to selfie mode, enjoying the music with her beau as John Fogerty performed “Fortunate Son.”

After a brief exchange with Spielberg, Swift handed over her cell.

The 36-year-old continued to get her groove on with Kelce, also 36, while the Oscar winner filmed the pair and then panned over to the performance.

Spielberg filmed other audience members as Swift and Kelce shared a sweet PDA moment beside him.

Social media users raved over the “crossover” moment and begged Swift to share the video.

One tweeted, “She casually handed her phone to one of the most popular filmmakers in the world and told him to make himself useful.”

Another added, “Not Spielberg taking control of her vlog. Icons.”

While the athlete did not walk the event’s red carpet with Swift, he was photographed seated with the “Love Story” singer inside the Marriott Marquis Hotel, along with their moms, Andrea Swift and Donna Kelce.

Many gushed over the engaged couple, with one dubbing Kelce Swift’s “forever dance partner.”

The Kansas City Chiefs player, notably, flew from his team’s Missouri minicamp to New York City on Thursday to support his wife-to-be.

Taylor, who stunned in a custom Givenchy by Sarah Burton gown, made history at the Manhattan event as the youngest woman ever to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.

The pop star teared up in her acceptance speech while thanking her family members.

Taylor is expected to take part in another milestone moment — her wedding — next month, with Page Six hearing she will marry Travis in Madison Square Garden on July 3 weekend.

Life Behind Bars: The Latest on Taylor Parker’s Journey on Texas Death Row

0

Once envisioning a blissful future with her boyfriend Wade Griffin, Taylor Parker now faces the grim reality of a death sentence. Parker’s obsession with achieving her own version of a fairy tale ending led her down a dark path. She fabricated a pregnancy and, in a tragic turn of events, assaulted 21-year-old Reagan Simmons Hancock, a pregnant mother, in a desperate attempt to take the baby as her own. This shocking crime, as detailed in a Texas Court of Criminal Appeals opinion, resulted in Parker’s conviction.

The case has drawn renewed attention through Netflix’s documentary, Maternal Instinct, which explores Parker’s actions and the subsequent legal proceedings. Even while in custody awaiting trial, prosecutors argued that Parker continued to weave a web of deceit.

Back in January 2020, Parker announced her supposed pregnancy, just a few months after meeting Griffin at a Texas rodeo. Griffin, who worked as a roofing company supervisor and hog farmer, became the unwitting focus of Parker’s elaborate and ultimately tragic deception.

Here’s everything to know about Taylor Parker’s life today following her murder conviction:

Taylor Parker Killed Reagan Simmons Hancock in Pregnancy Con

Parker announced she was pregnant in January of 2020, just months after meeting Griffin, a roofing company supervisor and hog farmer, at a Texas rodeo, according to the court records.

She falsely claimed to be on the verge of inheriting millions from a wealthy grandmother, promising to buy Griffin a multi-million ranch in Oklahoma, forging official-looking documents and checks in a misguided attempt to carry out the ruse, according to Griffin’s court testimony recounted by KTAL.

During the relationship, Parker also claimed to be pregnant—even though she had a hysterectomy in 2015. The mom of two used a silicone belly and customized ultrasound to pull off the con, according to the court records, selecting a name for her baby and holding a gender reveal party.

But after her so-called due date came and went without a baby, Parker went to the home of Hancock, one of her bridal photography clients, on Oct. 9, 2020 and attacked her, inflicting more than 100 sharp force injuries, per the court records. After killing Hancock, she cut the baby from her womb and then attempted to claim the infant as her own during a traffic stop less than half an hour later, authorities said. The baby later died at the hospital.

The deception was uncovered after a doctor examined Parker and determined she had not just given birth, according to the documentary.

Prosecutors Alleged Taylor Parker Continued Deceptive Behavior in Jail

Parker was arrested at the hospital that same day and taken to jail to await trial—where prosecutors alleged that her manipulations continued.

In court documents filed by the Bowie County District Attorney’s Office, obtained by WDBJ, prosecutors alleged Parker “repeatedly and continuously engaged in criminal behavior, violations of jail policy, and has continued her fraudulent pattern of lying and misrepresenting almost all aspects of her medical history and medical status.”

The documents, also obtained by KTAL, noted she “has repeatedly and continuously engaged in criminal behavior, including a massive fraudulent scheme directed at fabricating evidence, tampering with witnesses and ultimately attempting to frame a mentally fragile inmate” for the crime. As part of the scheme, she allegedly penned two confession letters that she hoped would look like they were written by the fragile inmate, the outlet reported.

Prosecutors also accused Parker of altering her jail clothing to make it more revealing as she pursued romantic relationships with fellow inmates, WDBJ reported.

“The defendant has been incarcerated at the Bowie County jail and has continuously and repeatedly caused chaos and confusion,” they noted in documents, according to KTAL, “and has disrupted jail operations by fabricating grievances, medical conditions and issues with other inmates and correctional officers.”

Prosecutors also accused Parker of threatening to file lawsuits against various members of the jail staff and offering multiple versions of what happened the day Hancock died. In one account, KTAL reported that she claimed to a girlfriend that she had been framed for the murder because of her alleged wealth.

“I don’t want to be a hero because I wasn’t that day. Reagan refused to show those SOBs any weakness,” Parker allegedly wrote. “As I begged pleaded cried screamed. She told me to say nothing. I will never unsee the worst day of my life.”

Bowie County First Assistant District Attorney Kelley Crisp called the claims in the documents “wild lies.”

Parker’s attorney Jeff Harrelson argued in the opening statements of the sentencing portion of her trial that the mom of two suffered from mental health issues that may have compromised her decision making.

“If you make a terrible decision, are you defined by that decision?” he told the jury, according to KTAL. “There were times that she was a good mom until certain events affected that. She’s also human. We submit to you an unwell, flawed human, but a human being, nonetheless. We want to show you how life events shaped who she became.”

A jury ultimately convicted Parker of murder and sentenced her to death after a 25-day sentencing hearing, KSLA reported.

Where is Taylor Parker Now?

Parker, 33, is currently incarcerated at the Patrick L. O’Daniel unit in Gatesville, Texas according to Texas Department of Corrections records reviewed by Oxygen.

She is one of just seven women serving on Texas’ death row.

Just last month, the United States Supreme Court declined to hear her appeal after her attorneys asked the nation’s highest court to review her case, KTAL reported.

Her attorneys contended that she didn’t receive a fair trial and argued she should not have been convicted of kidnapping Hancock’s baby.

No execution date has been set.

Renowned 20th-Century Artist David Hockney Passes Away at 88

David Hockney, celebrated artist known for his depictions of Los Angeles’ sunlit pools, has passed away at the age of 88. His vibrant works became emblematic of 20th-century art, capturing the essence of Southern California’s suburban landscapes.

Originally from the north of England, Hockney spent much of his life in California, where the radiant scenery significantly influenced his art. His paintings, often featuring shimmering pools and sun-drenched views, reflect the unique light and atmosphere of the region.

In his later years, Hockney returned to Europe. There, he found fresh inspiration in the picturesque landscapes of his native Yorkshire and the serene fields and trees of Normandy, France. These environments provided a new canvas for his evolving artistic expression.

Hockney’s work earned him a place among the United Kingdom’s most cherished artists, with his pieces fetching record prices at auctions worldwide. His enduring appeal and influence are a testament to his innovative spirit and the timeless quality of his art.

Historian Simon Schama noted, “The popularity and durability of David Hockney’s art, through all his shape-shifts and restlessly inventive experiments, are really no mystery.” Hockney’s ability to continually reinvent his work while maintaining an engaging style has solidified his legacy in the art world.

“His work is admired – loved is not too strong a word – by the millions who, worldwide, flock to see it because it presupposes an expectation of pleasure,” Schama wrote in an essay accompanying a 2025 Hockney exhibition in Paris.

Hockney’s publicist, Erica Bolton, says he died on Thursday, a few weeks short of his 89th birthday.

With his trademark round glasses and bleached-blond hair, Hockney was a well-known figure in the swinging British and American art scenes of the 1960s, even before he reached the age of 30.

His paintings were just as distinctive, many of them creating a dreamlike world of patterned light bouncing off water and windows, and human forms rendered in flattened, simplified shapes in matte acrylic paint.

“I’m excited every day,” he told the Los Angeles Times in 1979.

“London has lots of dreary parts but I never find anything dreary in Los Angeles.”

Hockney was born July 9, 1937, in Bradford, a large industrial city whose chief export was woollen textiles.

He spent his first two decades there before going to London’s Royal College of Art.

He made an impact even before his graduation, and art dealer John Kasmin took him into his stable of artists in 1961.

Shocking Revelations: LA DA Uncovers Potential Fraud in America’s Largest Sexual Abuse Settlement

0

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman has approached the court to halt the distribution of funds from a $4 billion settlement intended for victims of sexual abuse. Hochman raised concerns that up to 80% of these claims might be fraudulent, as reported by the Los Angeles Times on Thursday.

Back in April 2025, Los Angeles County agreed to a historic $4 billion settlement to resolve over 11,000 allegations of sexual abuse in county-operated juvenile facilities and foster care settings. This agreement marked the largest settlement of its kind in the nation’s history.

However, an investigation by the LA Times uncovered that nine individuals involved in the lawsuit claimed they were compensated to participate in the class-action suit. Among these, four individuals admitted to the paper that their claims were completely fabricated.

Following the revelations by the LA Times, Hochman promptly initiated his own inquiry into the matter.

“They looked at this opportunity to compensate these true victims of sex abuse as an opportunity to personally profit and engage in some of the most greedy and heinous conduct,” Hochman said in a November 2025 news conference. “We are going to aggressively go after them,” he said.

However, Hochman said then that the nine who came forward represented a small fraction of the “significant number of fraudsters involved in these settlement claims.”

Now, Hochman is claiming 80% of claimants could be fraudulent while asking the judge overseeing the case to freeze the payments for six months while he continues his investigation, according to the LA Times.

Hochman’s request would only apply to cases stemming from juvenile halls, the bulk of the cases in the lawsuit, according to the LA Times.

Since the LA Times released the results of its investigation, LA County has imposed extra scrutiny on claimants, particularly those represented by Downtown LA Law Group (DTLA), a firm that represented all nine of the plaintiffs who reportedly claimed to have been recruited.

DTLA firmly denied recruiting anybody for the lawsuit.

“As we have consistently stated, DTLA never recruited anyone to join this lawsuit. In fact, we rejected over 70% of the cases that came to us. The allegations of fraud involving our firm are false,” a DTLA spokesperson told News Media.

The company also believes it’s being unfairly scrutinized compared to other companies representing plaintiffs in the lawsuit.

“DTLA was the only one subjected to an extensive independent third-party audit of more than 1,000 cases, with every client interviewed by a neutral auditor at our own expense. No other firm has undergone this level of scrutiny.  We believe that fairness dictates that the regulatory agency make similar demands of other firms,” the spokesperson said.

The increased scrutiny, Hochman argued in a Wednesday filing obtained by the LA Times, was necessary after lax vetting from prior agencies reviewing the cases.

“The prior and ongoing vetting by other agencies and entities has been insufficient to determine whether the claims are fraudulent,” Hochman stated, per the LA Times.

Representatives of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit question Hochman’s claims and say they further hurt victims who have suffered enough.

“They’re beyond frustrated,” victim attorney Patrick McNicholas told the LA Times. “Once again, they’re getting victimized,” he said.

Lawyers for the plaintiffs are expected to go in front of Superior Court Judge Lawrence Riff on Monday for a review of Hochman’s request.

The DTLA spokesperson told News Media the company has cooperated with DA Hochman’s investigation.

“We look forward to Judge Lawrence Riff’s ruling on this matter and, as we have always maintained, we remain fully committed to working cooperatively with District Attorney Nathan Hochman and his office to verify the authenticity of every claim,” the spokesperson said.

“Our firm is fully committed to ensuring that clients who suffered real abuse are fairly compensated for the trauma they endured,” the spokesperson also said.

News Media contacted the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office for further information.
