Bruce Springsteen seemingly bypassed former New Jersey governor Chris Christie during his performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Thursday night, creating a buzzworthy moment.

The incident unfolded during an encore when Springsteen mingled with the crowd, enthusiastically greeting fans and exchanging high-fives as he made his way along a walkway near the stage.

Amidst the excitement, Christie looked hopeful, anticipating a brief acknowledgment from one of his musical idols in front of the packed arena.

Concert footage captured the moment Christie extended his hand toward Springsteen, only for the rock legend to stride past him without a glance, continuing his fan engagement across the arena.

Undeterred, Christie quickly withdrew his hand and resumed clapping to the beat, trying to brush off the moment with the same rhythm as the music.

The viral clip immediately sparked speculation online over whether the moment was an intentional snub from the famously outspoken rocker, who has spent much of his latest tour attacking President Donald Trump and his administration.

The now-viral clip was captured by sports media personality Mike Ryan, who later wrote that he believed it was inevitable from the moment he spotted Christie standing near the stage.

‘Bruce knew Chris Christie was there,’ Ryan wrote in a lengthy account posted online after the concert.

‘During multiple songs, Bruce would be on the far end of the stage, right in front of Christie, never once acknowledging Christie’s presence.’

Ryan, who said he has seen Springsteen perform roughly three dozen times, claimed the veteran rocker appeared energized during his latest tour as he continues hammering Trump and his administration from the stage.

‘Springsteen’s hatred of the current administration and its policies have rejuvenated him,’ Ryan wrote. ‘He is a man on a mission and he looks and sounds better than he did in 2023.’

According to Ryan, the crowd interaction that led to the awkward moment unfolded during Springsteen’s traditional performance of ‘Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out,’ when the singer routinely moves into the audience to shake hands and high-five fans.

Ryan said he realized Springsteen’s return route to the stage would bring him directly past Christie – and suspected the former governor would attempt to interact with him.

‘I knew there’s no way Chris Christie could resist trying to get a high five,’ Ryan wrote.

He added that Springsteen had spent much of the evening blasting an administration Christie once served under.

‘There is no chance in hell Springsteen is going to give someone who used to work for this administration a public high five,’ Ryan wrote.

Ryan also pushed back against online claims that Springsteen had simply stopped greeting everyone at the end of his walk through the crowd.

‘Bruce has just high fived probably 100 people,’ he wrote. ‘It’s as he approaches Christie that Bruce stops.’

Ryan concluded by insisting he had no doubt the moment was intentional.

‘Bruce knew he was there,’ he wrote. ‘Bruce, no doubt in my mind, consciously snubbed him. Bruce is still The Boss.’

Christie himself has long been known as one of Springsteen’s most devoted celebrity fans, frequently attending concerts and publicly discussing his admiration for the singer and the E Street Band.

That history only made the moment more excruciating for viewers watching the clip unfold online.

Springsteen has become increasingly vocal in his criticism of Trump during his latest tour.

Back in March, the singer blasted the Trump White House as a ‘corrupt, incompetent, racist, reckless and treasonous administration,’ prompting Trump to lash out at the rock legend by calling him a ‘dried up prune.’

Residents of an Atlanta neighborhood have been dealing with more issues from Waymo vehicles than they had anticipated.

In the past few weeks, the northwest Buckhead area of the Georgia city has seen an unusual influx of empty, driverless ride-share cars. This surge seems to be the result of a peculiar routing issue.

One resident from the beleaguered Battleview Drive expressed concerns to WSB-TV, saying, “It’s happening in almost every cul-de-sac around here, so I definitely think there’s a problem.”

Footage captured of the autonomous vehicles reveals them endlessly looping through a cul-de-sac, with multiple cars creating a traffic jam after a resident attempted to prevent them from entering the area.

“I think yesterday morning, we had 50 cars that came through between 6 and 7,” another neighbor told the station.

A third neighbor pointed out that the problem is more than just an irritation.

 “We’re families, we have small animals and pets, got kids getting on the bus in the morning and it just doesn’t feel safe to have that traffic,” they said.

Waymo currently operates in 11 U.S. cities, including Atlanta.

The company admitted to Fox News Digital that Waymos are staged in areas of the city where they are frequently hailed from, but said that shouldn’t come at the expense of residents.

And the cul-de-sac quagmire isn’t the only issue Waymo has faced recently. This week, the company recalled nearly 4,000 of its vehicles due to a glitch where it may not stop before driving into “standing water,” and video obtained FOX 4 appeared to show a Waymo running a red light at a busy intersection in Dallas.

Last year, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigated Waymo after vehicles were allegedly seen illegally passing stopped school buses in Austin, Texas.

And in January, a Waymo hit a student walking through a crosswalk near an elementary school in Santa Monica, California. The car was driving at a low speed and the student wasn’t hurt.

In a significant blow to Virginia’s Democratic leaders, the Supreme Court on Friday dismissed an urgent appeal to reinstate the party’s proposed congressional map. This decision represents a missed opportunity for Democrats to gain an advantage in the ongoing mid-decade redistricting battle.

The justices, without any noted dissent, chose not to overturn a decision by Virginia’s highest court. The ruling stated that Democrats had not adhered to the proper procedures when submitting their redistricting proposal to voters.

Republican leaders in Virginia argued that the Supreme Court lacked jurisdiction to review the state court’s decision, and the justices agreed.

This outcome likely marks the end of a lengthy legal struggle for the current election cycle. However, Democrats may have the chance to revisit redistricting efforts in the future. The party had aimed to implement a favorable 10-1 district plan, which could have provided four additional seats in their quest to gain control of the House in the upcoming November elections.

Virginia had become a focal point for Democrats seeking to counteract the mid-decade redistricting initiatives, initiated when Texas Republicans, at former President Trump’s behest, added up to five potential seats last year.

When the Texas map reached the Supreme Court, the justices intervened to lift a lower court ruling blocking it. The justices refused to block California’s new map that adds up to five pickup opportunities for Democrats, allowing it to go into effect as well.

Unlike those cases, the battle in Virginia revolved around timing rules embedded in the state’s
constitution.

For Democrats to send their map to voters for a referendum vote this spring, state lawmakers
needed to pass their proposal twice, with an election in between. The Virginia Supreme Court
ruled 4-3 that Democrats acted too late when passed it the first time in October, as early voting had already begun by that point.

The U.S. Supreme Court can only review state court judgments if they raise a federal issue. The two top Republican lawmakers in Virginia insisted the case didn’t and that holding otherwise
would upend longstanding precedents.

“There’s a simple reason Applicants did not preserve any federal issues in this case: not one
exists,” their attorneys wrote in court filings. “From the outset, this case has concerned only
state-law claims and state-law defenses. It is, after all, about the procedure for amending the
Virginia Constitution.”

Their Democratic counterparts insisted the lower decision misunderstands the federal definition
of an election.

They also argued it conflicts with the authority the U.S. Constitution gives to state legislatures to
regulate elections. A few years ago, Democrats raised concerns that endorsing a maximalist
view of that theory would hand unchecked power to state lawmakers.

“The Virginia Supreme Court’s decision amounts to judicial defiance of the Commonwealth’s
Constitution and the statutes enacted by the General Assembly lawfully establishing
congressional districts to be used in the upcoming 2026 election,” they wrote in their emergency appeal this week.

Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger (D) said a day earlier that the state would move ahead with its old map, as the deadline had passed, according to WTOP.

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. — On Friday, Patrick Reed channeled his inner Rory McIlroy while reflecting on his performance during the second round at Aronimink Golf Club.

“S–t,” Reed candidly remarked after carding a 2-over 72. This round followed his initial 68, keeping him firmly in the mix at an even par overall.

Reed, notably the sole competitor in the 156-player tournament yet to participate in any event since the Masters, stood out on Thursday by not recording a single bogey.

However, Friday told a different story as Reed encountered challenges, starting with a bogey on the sixth hole, followed by additional bogeys on the 15th and 16th.

Reflecting on his round, Reed admitted, “I just didn’t hit the ball very solid… didn’t hit it well.” He continued, “When you’re hitting unsolid, crooked shots that go nowhere and land in the rough, it makes it much tougher to target the greens. You end up scrambling the entire day.”

Reed conceded that as the round wore on, he began to force the issue to make birdies.

“I finally got sick and tired of making 5,000 pars, so I tried to get a little too aggressive on 15 and made a mental mistake there,’’ he said. “Then a poor tee shot on the next. That’s what major championships do in places like this playing tough. You’re out there playing boring par golf and you want to make birdies, so you try to get aggressive, and that’s where you can make mistakes. I made two of them, and because of that I’m sitting here at even par.”

Reed hopes Friday ends up being his one poor round for the week.

“You always know you’re going to have adversity at some point at every major you play,’’ he said. “Hopefully, that was (Friday) and we’re able to tighten it up and get it back on track. It’s me being picky, but it wasn’t far off.’’

Reed, who left LIV Golf last year and is serving a yearlong suspension from the PGA Tour that ends in August, has been playing on the DP World Tour, where he won twice earlier in the year.

Asked how far off he is from that form, he said, “Not far off at all.’’
