South Carolina Pastor and Wife Arrested for Alleged Sexual and Physical Abuse of Foster Children

0

In a troubling case emerging from South Carolina, a pastor and his wife have been taken into custody following allegations of sexual abuse brought forth by a foster child, as reported by local authorities.

The individuals involved, Rodney Gibson and Kawiana Young, both aged 50, face serious charges related to unlawful conduct with a minor. These charges were announced by the Richland County Sheriff’s Department and covered in detail by WIS News 10.

Rodney Gibson is further implicated with additional grave accusations, including first-degree criminal sexual conduct, second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, unlawful conduct toward a minor, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Rodney Gibson and Kawiana Young

The allegations came to light last month when a victim courageously reported the alleged sexual abuse that occurred while they were placed in the couple’s foster care, authorities disclosed in their report.

A victim came forward last month to report alleged sexual abuse endured while in foster care at the couple’s home, deputies said, according to the report.

Gibson is accused of sexually assaulting the victim on several occasions, starting at age 15 until they aged out of the foster care system.

Investigators learned that a minor was living with Gibson and Young.

The child told investigators they had been sexually abused by Gibson and physically abused by Young. The minor was then moved to emergency protective custody.

During an emergency protective custody hearing on March 20, a family court judge ordered the minor to be returned to Gibson and Young’s home.

After investigators conducted subsequent interviews and obtained additional evidence, arrest warrants were obtained. Gibson and Young were arrested on April 1 and the minor was placed back into emergency protective custody.

Gibson and Young were released on bond on April 2.

The South Carolina Department of Social Services said in a statement that Young was a licensed foster parent from June 2021 until June 2025, adding that she fostered six children in her home, but voluntarily relinquished her foster parent license.

The agency said Young failed to mention that Gibson was living at the home, and his name was not on the license. The agency said Young never reported that she was married and said she was not in a relationship.

The agency said it was cooperating in the investigation.

Authorities believe there may be more victims and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Gibson is a pastor at Pathway 2 Hope Ministries, while Young owns and operates DreamCatcher Child Development Center.

Bettina Anderson’s Controversial Past Fuels Gold Digger Allegations Amid Don Jr. Romance

Bettina Anderson relishes being an influencer and socialite. On her Instagram profile, at least at the time of writing, Anderson describes herself best: “I’m just your typical stay at home mom…only I don’t do household chores…or have a husband…or have kids.” Anderson lives a really lavish life, and this lifestyle has partly been funded by her dating choices, which are made up of wealthy heirs much older than her.

Concerns are reportedly growing within the Trump family regarding Bettina Anderson’s relationship with Donald Trump Jr. Some family members are questioning Anderson’s motives, worried that she might be leveraging the relationship for social gain. “We want to protect the Trump brand and don’t want her close to the family,” a source revealed to the Daily Mail after the couple announced their relationship in 2024.

Before her engagement to Donald Trump Jr., Anderson was linked to another wealthy figure, William “Beau” Wrigley Jr., the billionaire heir to the Wrigley gum fortune. The striking 23-year age difference between Anderson and Wrigley raised eyebrows and led to accusations of gold-digging—a narrative that has resurfaced with her current high-profile engagement.

Anderson has maintained a low profile concerning her personal life, with her relationship with Wrigley being the most notable in the public eye. Reports from outlets like The Daily Beast and Page Six suggest that the pair were engaged in 2017, though details about the end of their relationship remain unclear.

William Wrigley Jr. was born on October 6, 1963, while Bettina Anderson entered the world on December 9, 1986, marking a significant age gap between them. Despite their differences, they shared common ground in their affluent social circles in North Palm Beach, Florida.

Bettina Anderson has a taste for wealthy older men

Living in North Palm Beach, Wrigley met Anderson, a prominent socialite in the area whose status only grew after their relationship. In 2019, two years post their split, Anderson was named the region’s top bachelorette by The Palm Beacher, even comparing herself to supermodel Heidi Klum. Her social standing was further cemented in 2023 when Avenue Magazine listed her among Palm Beach’s top singles.

Wrigley was born on October 6, 1963, while Anderson was born on December 9, 1986, making their age gap larger than 23 years. It is hard to imagine what the couple could have had in common besides their local residency and wealthy social circles.

Wrigley is a resident of North Palm Beach, Florida, where he crossed paths with Anderson, who is known as one of the area’s top socialites, and this reputation only increased after dating Wrigley. Two years after her relationship with Wrigley, she was named the top bachelorette of the region by The Palm Beacher, where she compared herself to supermodel Heidi Klum. In 2023, Anderson once again gained recognition within her circle when she was named a top Palm Beach single in Avenue Magazine.

At the end of 2024, Anderson began dating Don Jr., which has further increased her social currency. While their nine-year age gap pales in comparison to the one with Wrigley, it is clear that Anderson has an eye for wealthy older men. Anderson and Don Jr. may be happily engaged now, but if anything were to happen, it would not be the first time Don Jr. called off an engagement before heading down the aisle. Right before the pair got together, he was engaged to American diplomat Kimberly Guilfoyle, leading to rumors that an affair between Junior and Anderson caused him to call off the engagement. Either way, Anderson got what she wanted, at least for now.

Tragic Incident: FedEx Driver Confesses to Killing 7-Year-Old Girl After Package Delivery

0

Left: Athena Strand (Wise County Sheriff’s Office). Right: Tanner L. Horner (WCSO).

A 34-year-old delivery driver has confessed to the murder of 7-year-old Athena Strand, bringing an abrupt halt to what was already a deeply emotional trial unfolding in a Texas courtroom.

Tanner Horner pleaded guilty on Tuesday to one count each of capital murder and aggravated kidnapping, leaving jurors to now decide whether to give him life in prison or the death penalty. Horner had been set to stand trial for the child’s murder, but moments before proceedings began, he entered the guilty plea, immediately shifting the case into the penalty phase.

Despite the confession, the jury’s role remains crucial, as prosecutors are pursuing the death penalty, leaving them to decide Tanner Horner’s fate.

During the opening statements of the sentencing phase, prosecutor Patrick Berry prepared jurors for the graphic and unsettling evidence they would encounter, including audio recordings from the delivery van where the tragic event occurred.

“You will hear what a 250-pound man can do to a 67-pound child,” Berry stated. “And when I say it’s horrific, I mean it. I’ve been doing this for 25 years, and I assure you: brace yourselves.”

Though the visual evidence of the crime was obscured, Berry noted that jurors would be exposed to audio that captures the harrowing final moments of the young girl’s life.

“The one thing you’re gonna hear — that is something you can’t unhear — is the level of fight that a 7-year-old girl has when she’s facing down certain death,” he said. “We talk about warriors in America. I’ll tell you, that little girl right there is a warrior. She fought with the strength of 100 men.”

Elizabeth “Ashley” Strand, Athena’s stepmother who reported her missing, testified about the lasting trauma on the family, saying her other daughter now runs and hides at the sight of delivery drivers and suffers from nightmares.

Investigators also took the stand, including then-Sheriff Lane Akin, who became emotional recalling the moment he informed the family that Athena’s body had been found in a body of water miles from her home.

“It was heartbreaking, and they were just devastated,” Akin said. “I wish I could have done something to make it better. We were hoping, right to the last minute, that she was alive and well.”

Testimony further showed that Horner initially gave investigators inconsistent accounts of his actions, at first claiming he did not remember being at the home before later saying he stopped deliveries because he felt sick.

The case stems from Athena’s disappearance on Nov. 30, when authorities learned a FedEx package had been delivered to her home around the same time she vanished, according to a previously reported arrest warrant affidavit obtained by Law&Crime.

Investigators identified the delivery truck and reviewed interior camera footage, which allegedly showed that the driver — later identified as Horner — “had taken a young girl who was visually similar to Athena in his van.” The footage also showed Horner speaking with her in the vehicle.

After being located by authorities, Horner allegedly confessed to striking Athena with his truck before abducting and killing her.

“[Horner] stated when he was backing up in his FedEx truck he accidentally hit Athena with the truck, but she was not seriously injured, [and he] panicked and put her in the van,” the affidavit states. “[Horner] stated Athena was alive at that time, talking to him, and told him her name was Athena.”

He allegedly told investigators he then decided to kill the child.

“[Horner] stated he attempted to break Athena’s neck to kill her,” the affidavit says. “[Horner] stated, when he attempted to break Athena’s neck it did not work so he strangled her with his bare hands in the back of the FedEx van.”

Horner allegedly said he killed the child because he believed “she was going to tell her father about being hit by the FedEx truck,” according to the affidavit.

Authorities later said Horner led investigators to a location near the Trinity River in Boyd, Texas, where Athena’s body was found roughly 10 miles from her home.

At the time, Athena’s mother, Maitlyn Gandy, said the package Horner delivered contained a Christmas gift for her daughter — a “You Can Be Anything” Barbie — and noted the girl had been planning to return home to Oklahoma after the holiday break.

Jurors will now hear additional evidence before deciding whether Horner will spend the rest of his life in prison or be sentenced to death.

Megyn Kelly, 55, Shares Her Secrets to Staying Fit and Managing Menopause

0

At 55, Megyn Kelly is feeling better than ever, and it’s clear why when you look at her dedicated approach to diet and fitness.

Recently, the political commentator discussed how hormone replacement therapy (HRT) has rejuvenated her during menopause, making her feel “vibrant” again. In a conversation with the Daily Mail, she shared additional insights into the lifestyle choices that contribute to her energy and well-being.

Kelly, who is a mother of three with her husband Douglas Brunt, has achieved excellent physical health through a balanced combination of nutrition and exercise. Her approach to fitness, however, has shifted over the years.

Revealing her routine, she confessed, “I’ve mentioned before that I work out with a trainer twice a week for 45 minutes each session, which ensures I stay committed.”

In addition to her sessions with a trainer, Kelly also exercises independently.

‘Usually, I do one to two times on my own in addition,’ she said, adding that she tends to avoid heavy cardio in favor of walking or some steps on the elliptical.

When she’s not sweating out at the gym, Kelly is sweating it out in a sauna.

Research has shown that the relaxing activity can aid pain relief, lower blood pressure and improve mood.

‘I sauna at least four times a week and love it,’ she enthused.

As for her nutrition, Kelly eats mostly a Mediterranean diet rich in fruit, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, fish and olive oil.

‘Pretty much every day I have two to three eggs with a piece of sourdough toast and an avocado or a piece of fruit,’ she told the Daily Mail.

‘And then for both lunch and dinner, I have a lean protein and a veggie.

‘If I need a snack, it’s usually nuts with salt but no seed oils on them.’

When she gets a late-night craving, ice cream is Kelly’s go-to treat.

‘I do sometimes have some Häagen-Dazs at night – just a little,’ she said. ‘I love [the flavor] caramel cone.

‘A little goes a long way.’

Kelly’s relationship with exercise has seemingly transformed over the past decade.

In her 2016 autobiography, Settle for More, Kelly revealed she gave up on the gym after she had her three children: sons Yates, 16, and Thatcher, 12, and daughter, Yardley, 14.

During her brief time on the Today show, she also often joked about not working out, although would happily try out routines in front of the camera.

‘It’s not completely true that I hate working out,’ she told a trainer on the show in January 2018. ‘But I’m tired. I have three kids and a full-time job, and I don’t want to [do it] anymore.’

Similarly, in April 2018, she told viewers: ‘You guys know that I don’t exercise, right?’

But in recent years Kelly’s attitude has shifted.

In May 2023, Kelly voiced her commitment to The Class, a digital workout method that uses bodyweight exercises to regulate the mind.

Speaking to fitness trainer Jillian Michaels, 52, on her show, she said: ‘I’ve been doing this thing called The Class, which I actually really like.’

Explaining why she was reluctant to work out, Kelly said: 'I have three kids and a full-time job, and I don't want to [do it] anymore'

Detailing the results, she added: ‘It is transforming my body. I’m starting to look good. I’m starting to see some muscle definition.’

In October 2025, Kelly revealed that she works out twice a week with a personal trainer for 45 minutes.

Addressing audiences at a Turning Point USA event, she explained that in those private classes, she lifts ‘light weights.’

‘That’s it,’ she said. ‘I do walk a lot, like I do some aerobic activity, but I’m telling you, you really don’t have to do much more than that.

‘And I don’t really have a ton of time to do much more than that.’

Kelly’s relationship with food and nutrition has also evolved.

During an episode of the Today show in January 2018, she opened up about her family’s struggle with weight gain.

‘My entire family has been overweight or obese,’ she said. ‘My nana, my mom, my sister and my brother.’

Kelly herself battled with body image issues as a teenager. She recalled how she was once shamed by cruel bullies, which led her to seek out weight loss pills and restrict her intake of food to just 500 calories a day.

‘I was thin and so unhappy,’ she said. ‘As an adult, I have gotten healthier in my approach to eating but like every woman I know, still wrestle with body image and still cringe when I hear a person attacked for his or her weight.’

In the 2010s, Kelly was a big proponent of the F-Factor diet, which focuses on food that is high in fiber.

She confessed to turning to the diet in an attempt to lose weight after she became a mother.

‘I started after the birth of my first child, Yates,’ she penned in her memoir.

‘It took off the baby weight right away.’

Made popular by the dietitian Tanya Zuckerbrot, the diet focuses on combining lean proteins with high-fiber carbohydrates that are low in calories and keep you feeling full throughout the day.

The diet doesn’t cut out any food groups and relies on fiber to bulk up food without adding calories while slowing digestion and revving up metabolism.

Kelly opened up about her eating habits in 2009 when she participated in the New York Diet for Grub Street.

Back in those days, Kelly seemed to be a big fan of yogurt, egg-white omelets and lots of vegetables.

That piece also revealed that Kelly takes her coffee with ‘cream and half a Splenda’ and her thoughts on bread and cake products.

‘I try to steer clear of the starches because they’re the devil,’ said Kelly, just before writing that she had a cupcake for dessert one night with friends.

Bendigo Bank Announces Workforce Overhaul: Discover Which Jobs Are at Risk

0
Jobs at Bendigo Bank are at risk after the lender confirmed a new round of operational changes tied to outsourcing deals with global firms.

The bank has announced impending modifications that will result in workforce adjustments, particularly affecting employees within its technology and business operations departments. Although discussions have not yet commenced, the full extent of the job impacts remains uncertain.

Richard Fennell, the Chief Executive, acknowledged the difficulty of making decisions that affect employees.

Bendigo Bank will shut down 10 branches across three states, leaving five regional communities without any financial services.

“Making decisions that have repercussions for our staff is never straightforward,” Fennell remarked. “We understand that this period will be challenging for our team, and we are dedicated to approaching these changes with empathy, consideration, and respect.”

He emphasized, “We will engage with the employees who are affected by these developments, ensuring they have access to the necessary support.”

“The wellbeing and health of our bank’s workforce remain at the forefront during the planning and execution of these crucial workplace transitions,” added Fennell.

The workforce changes come as the bank announced the next phase of its “Productivity Program”, including two major partnerships with Infosys and Genpact aimed at overhauling its technology and business operations.

Under the plan, Infosys will take on a seven-year technology services agreement. At the same time, Genpact will manage aspects of business operations over six years – moves the bank said would streamline processes and lift efficiency.

Fennell explained that tapping into global expertise would allow the bank to simplify its systems and reinvest in new capabilities.

“By leveraging global expertise and becoming simpler and more efficient, we can reinvest in new technologies and capabilities,” he said.

Bendigo Bank serves around 2.9 million customers across Australia, with the restructure forming part of its broader strategy through to 2030.

UCL: PSG Dominates First Leg, Deepening Liverpool’s Struggles in Quarter-Final Showdown

Liverpool faces an uphill battle in the UEFA Champions League following a 2-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their quarter-final clash held in Paris.

The Premier League team struggled offensively, unable to land a single shot on target, while PSG commanded the match with ease.

PSG capitalise on early control

PSG took the lead in the 11th minute when Desire Doue’s deflected shot sailed over Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Despite some defensive efforts, Liverpool conceded another goal when Khvicha Kvaratskhelia executed a brilliant finish after maneuvering around the goalkeeper, solidifying PSG’s lead.

Giorgi Mamardashvili played a crucial role in preventing a more significant defeat, making several key saves, including a noteworthy block against Kvaratskhelia earlier in the game.

Liverpool issues deepen

The result compounds a difficult spell for Arne Slot’s side, who were recently beaten 4-0 by Manchester City. In Paris, Liverpool set up with a defensive approach but struggled to contain PSG’s attack.

Further concerns emerged defensively, with Ibrahima Konate fortunate to avoid conceding a penalty late on after VAR intervention overturned an earlier decision.

PSG could have extended their lead, with Ousmane Dembele missing multiple clear chances, including an effort that struck the woodwork.

Second leg decisive at Anfield

Liverpool now head into the return leg at Anfield needing a significant response to keep their European campaign alive.

Meanwhile, the introduction of Alexander Isak marked a return from injury, but offered limited impact in a match where chances were scarce.

March Breaks Record as Hottest Month Ever Recorded in Continental US

In a striking revelation, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) disclosed that last month marked the hottest March ever recorded in U.S. history. This announcement was made on Wednesday, as the agency presented new data underscoring the unprecedented warmth experienced across the nation.

According to NOAA’s findings, March 2026 saw average temperatures across the continental United States soar, surpassing the 20th-century average by an astounding 9.4 degrees Fahrenheit. This remarkable deviation highlights the intensity of the heatwave that enveloped the country.

A noteworthy ten states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming, shattered previous records, thereby declaring this March as their hottest ever. These states bore the brunt of the soaring temperatures, setting a new benchmark for March weather extremes.

The NOAA report elaborated on the breadth of these temperature anomalies, noting that much of the U.S., stretching from the Pacific to the Atlantic and south of the far northern tier, experienced significantly above-average temperatures. The central Pacific Coast, Great Basin, Southwest, and segments of the Rockies and southern Plains were particularly affected, with these regions witnessing record-breaking warmth that underscored the month’s extraordinary climate conditions.

Further emphasizing the extent of the heat, the agency reported that around 500 counties, representing a quarter of the continental U.S., recorded their highest average temperatures for March this year. This widespread climatic anomaly underscores the ongoing challenges posed by climate change and the mounting urgency for adaptive measures.

The new data also found that January to March 2026 broke a record from 1910 as the driest period in history.

This report comes ahead of anticipated rising temperatures in the next year due to El Niño.

NOAA is forecasting a potentially strong El Niño to form this summer and continue through at least the end of the year. This naturally occurring cyclical warming process in the equatorial Pacific changes weather patterns around the world, with ripple effects for years to come.

The European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts published data last month that indicated a 98% chance of a moderate El Niño by August, and an 80% chance of a strong event or 22% change of a “super” event.

Open Heaven 9 April 2026 – Permanent Miracles

Open Heaven 9 April 2026 Thursday Daily Devotional By Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Permanent Miracles

Open Heaven 9 April 2026 TOPIC – Permanent Miracles

MEMORISE: I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. – Ecclesiastes 3:14 (KJV)

READ: John 5:1-14 (KJV)

1 After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.

2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.

3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.

6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?

7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day: it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.

11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.

12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?

13 And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.

14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Kings 1-2

Open Heaven 9 April 2026 MESSAGE

One of my spiritual sons, who is from a very wealthy home, had cancer of the jawbone. He had access to the best doctors in Europe, but after they had treated him for a while, they told his parents to take him back home to Nigeria because he had just two weeks to live. His parents were devastated. When they arrived in Nigeria, they decided to bring him to Redemption City, and my faith was shaken when I saw him. The boy had trouble eating because of his illness; his head was terribly swollen, and it usually took him about an hour to finish a bottle of soft drink. I pulled myself together, prayed for him as is expected of a pastor, and God healed him. This happened 43 years ago, and to the glory of God, he is still alive today, married with children. God gave him a testimony that is still valid today. I pray that God will give you a permanent miracle, in Jesus’ name.

One of the most amazing things that happens when God visits a man is that He brings permanent solutions. Mark 10:46-52 tells the story of a blind man named Bartimaeus. When he was told that Jesus was coming, he knew he would never beg again. That was why he threw his garment – the symbol of his shame, darkness, and blindness- away. I am sure that the moment he received his sight, he never begged again – his testimony was permanent. Some people have had miracles and lost them. Some have received something precious from God but have lost it out of carelessness. In the name that is above every other name, the testimony God will give you will last forever.

Beloved, the only way the miracles and testimonies you receive from God will be permanent is when you flee sin. Today’s Bible reading tells us the story of a man who had been sick for 38 years; Jesus healed him, and he was happy. However, when Jesus saw him again, He warned him not to engage in sin anymore because if he did, something worse could happen to him. When someone who has been delivered by God from the path of destruction jumps back into sin, the devil can torment and torture that fellow as he pleases. If you have gone back into sin, return to Jesus today and ask Him to save you. He will graciously restore you when you return to Him wholeheartedly.

Open Heaven 9 April 2026 KEY POINT

To make your miracles permanent, never toy with sin.

1 There shall be showers of blessing:
This is the promise of love;
There shall be seasons refreshing,
Sent from the Savior above.

Showers of blessing,
Showers of blessing we need:
Mercy-drops round us are falling,
But for the showers we plead.

2 There shall be showers of blessing,
Precious reviving again;
Over the hills and the valleys,
Sound of abundance of rain. [Refrain]

3 There shall be showers of blessing:
Send them upon us, O Lord;
Grant to us now a refreshing,
Come and now honor Thy Word. [Refrain]

4 There shall be showers of blessing:
Oh, that today they might fall,
Now as to God we’re confessing,
Now as on Jesus we call! [Refrain]

ARE YOU BORN AGAIN? IF NO, WHY NOT ACCEPT JESUS NOW!

Accept Jesus Christ today and secure a life of eternal rest and Glory by saying this short prayer below:

Lord Jesus, I believe you died for my sins, Forgive me of all my iniquities. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour from today and forever.

Come and Be the Lord of my life and I am willing to obey Your command and live according to Your will by Your Grace, Thank you for accepting me into Your fold

AMEN!!! John 6:37…and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
