Jeff Garlin has unexpectedly left the hit sitcom The Goldbergs after a series of misbehavior charges. The network launched an investigation into the actor’s alleged “abusive” behavior on set.

Meanwhile, the comedian’s firing is effective immediately, according to Vanity Fair. He has decided not to finish the ninth season of The Goldbergs.

Because of his on-set behavior, Jeff, 59, has been the subject of a human resources investigation for the past three years. “He is highly verbally and emotionally abusive,” according to a Golderbergs employee who wishes to remain anonymous.
