AI Misuse in Schools: Teens Sentenced to Probation for Creating Fake Nudes of Classmates

0

LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) — In a shocking case involving artificial intelligence misuse, two teenage boys were sentenced to probation on Wednesday for creating fake nude images of their classmates at a prestigious private school in Pennsylvania. The victims provided emotional testimonies about the distressing impact of these images.

At 14 years old, the boys confessed earlier this month to producing around 350 altered images, depicting at least 59 underage girls. Authorities believe there may be additional victims who have yet to be identified.

Investigators revealed that the boys sourced images of the girls from school photos, yearbooks, and social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and FaceTime in 2023 and 2024. These were then digitally combined with adult content depicting nudity or sexual acts.

The courtroom was packed with over 100 students and parents from Lancaster Country Day School, who listened to victims recount their horror at identifying their faces in explicit images. Although juvenile court sessions in Pennsylvania are typically confidential, this one was opened by a judge, allowing the community to openly express their concerns.

The affected girls shared the emotional toll of the incident, describing anxiety attacks, eroded trust, difficulties concentrating on academics, and a persistent fear that the manipulated images could resurface at any time.

The two young men stood stone-faced throughout, flanked by their lawyers and parents, as they were called pedophiles, “sick and twisted” and perverted.

“I will never understand why they did this,” one victim told Judge Leonard Brown, saying it “destroyed my innocence.”

One young woman told Brown “how excruciating it is to bring these feelings up again and again.” Another choked back tears as she excoriated one of the defendants for expressing “fake empathy” as girls confided with him about their pain, before it became known that he had been part of creating and disseminating the images. Still another said all of her friends transferred schools, and that she “needed trauma therapy to even walk around my neighborhood.”

The defendants declined several opportunities to comment to the judge, who said he had not heard either boy take responsibility or apologize.

“This has been a regrettable, long, torturous process for everyone involved,” said Heidi Freese, defense attorney for one of the defendants. “There were very interesting, underlying legal issues surrounding the charges in this case and those will be decided on a different day in a different case.”

Brown ordered each to perform 60 hours of community service, have no contact with the victims and pay an unspecified amount of restitution. If they don’t have any additional legal problems, Brown said, the case can be expunged after two years.

As he imposed his sentence, Brown said that if they were adults, they probably would be headed for state prison. He said they should “take this opportunity to really examine” themselves.

The resolution of the Pennsylvania case comes days after three teenagers in Tennessee sued Elon Musk’s xAI, claiming the company’s Grok tools morphed their real photos into explicitly sexual images. The high school students are seeking class-action status to represent what the lawsuit says are thousands of people who were similarly victimized as minors.

The scandal in Pennsylvania led to a student protest, criminal charges against the two teenagers and the departure of leaders at the school, which says it has about 600 students K-12, class sizes averaging just 12 kids, and “an endowment in excess of $25 million.”

Nadeem Bezar, a Philadelphia lawyer who represents at least 10 of the victims, said Tuesday he expects to file a claim “against the school and anybody else we think has culpability in these deepfakes being created and disseminated.”

He said he has not yet seen the photos but expects the legal process to determine “exactly when and where and how the school knew, how the boys created these images, what platforms they used to create these images and how they were disseminated.”

As AI has become accessible and powerful, lawmakers across the country have passed laws aimed at barring deepfakes.

President Donald Trump signed the Take it Down Act last year, making it illegal to publish intimate images including deepfakes without consent, and requiring websites and social media sites to remove such material within 48 hours of being notified by a victim.

Forty-six states now have laws addressing deepfakes, with legislation introduced in the remaining four — Alaska, Missouri, New Mexico and Ohio — according to the consumer advocacy group Public Citizen. ____

Dorinda Medley Raises Eyebrows Over RHONJ Pause: Will the Same Cast Return with Teresa, Melissa, and Dolores?

Dorinda Medley shared her thoughts on the latest casting news for Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey during her radio show this Tuesday.

The network recently confirmed that Teresa Giudice (53), Melissa Gorga (47), and Dolores Catania (55) will return for the show’s 15th season. This announcement comes after a nearly two-year break. Meanwhile, Margaret Josephs (58) surprised fans by announcing her departure. The 61-year-old Real Housewives of New York City alum expressed curiosity about why the show was paused in the first place.

“It’s the same people they left with. Why did they go off air just to come back with the same cast?” Dorinda pondered during the March 24 episode of SiriusXM’s Reality Checked, also addressing Margaret’s exit.

She went on to express her surprise over some casting decisions, particularly mentioning Rachel Fuda. “I really liked [Rachel] as a cast member,” she remarked. “People are very happy. We love our New Jersey, but I wonder why they didn’t just keep them on all this time.”

“Some of them, like I’m surprised, like [Rachel Fuda]. I really liked [Rachel] as a cast member,” she continued. “People are very happy. I mean, we love our New Jersey, but I feel like, why didn’t they just keep them on all this time?”

Although Dorinda didn’t understand the pause, she acknowledged that Teresa, Melissa, and Dolores were a “strong group.”

“It’s interesting. Teresa, Dolores, and Melissa. Wow, that’s amazing. We do love that Dolores and Melissa, and Teresa. Yeah, those are three strong women,” she stated.

As RHONJ fans have surely seen, Margaret revealed she was leaving the show on Tuesday.

“Hi guys, it’s the Marge. I’m dialing in. I have to tell you something that might come as a little surprise to you, but not for me: I’ve been thinking about a lot of different things, and I am moving on from [RHONJ],” she said in a video seemingly shared from the Dominican Republic, where she’s rumored to be filming a new show for Amazon Prime. “I’ve been in the talks with the network and Andy since December. We’ve discussed it, and I think the timing is right.”

After Margaret’s announcement was shared, a number of RHONJ cast members weighed in.

“Marge … You’re one of the good ones … Your one liners were my favorite part of the show … I completely understand this decision. Your next chapter will be a fantastic one and I can’t wait to see what’s next for you … You’ll always be my Aries queen … I love u,” wrote Melissa.

“You’ll always be our Marge … the powerhouse and pigtails … love u,” Dolores agreed.

Meanwhile, Rachel, 34, told Margaret she loved her, and Jennifer Fessler, 55, thanked her for bringing her to the show.

“Thank you for taking me along on your ride, my dear friend. Being a ‘friend of’ the Marge was an honor and a privilege. Love you so much,” she stated, as Antonia Gorga, 20, admitted she was “really sad” about Margaret’s exit.

“Thanks for being my moms besti and having her back … WHOS GONNA ROAST EVERYONE LIKE YOU DO??? You are too funny,” she noted.

Also speaking out was Andy Cohen, 57, who said, “No thank YOU. What a ride. Also I LOVE your house and taste – always and forever.”

Melissa then shared a video of her own in which she spoke of the RHONJ return while promoting a couple of upcoming appearances for her line of sprinkle cookies.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is back, baby. Let’s go!” she declared. “I know you miss us Jersey girls, so super excited about that. I have so much I want to say about that. I could just keep going on and on, but I think I’m just gonna say, it’s about time. Okay? Jersey is in the house.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey season 15 is expected to go into production sometime this spring.

DCLM Daily Manna 5 March 2026 — Simplicity Of The Gospel

DCLM Daily Manna 5 March 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Simplicity Of The Gospel

TOPIC: Simplicity Of The Gospel (DCLM Daily Manna 5 March 2026)

KEY VERSE: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty – 1 Corinthians 1:27

TEXT: 1 Corinthians 1:17-27 (KJV)

17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:

23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;

24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

During a Billy Sunday programme, Joey, a mentally impaired boy came faithfully each night to sing in the choir. “Joey was not very bright,” said Homer Rodeheaver, the well-known song leader for Billy Sunday, “but he never missed any of our meetings and wouldn’t leave until he shook my hand. Sometimes I was embarrassed by the way he constantly trailed me, and I secretly wished he’d go away.”

Then one evening a man came to Rodeheaver and said, “Thank you for being kind to my son, Joey. He’s not right mentally, but never has he enjoyed anything so much as singing in the choir. He worked hard doing simple chores for people so he could contribute to the collection. Through his pleadings, my wife and five other children came to this evangelistic campaign and have now received Christ. Last night his 75-year-old grandfather, who has been an atheist all his life, was saved, and tonight his grandmother also came forward. Now our entire family is converted!” Joey demonstrates how the foolishness of the gospel wins the lost.

Our text perfectly portrays a paradox that holds the world in awe since the first century. It is the mystery or the paradox of the cross of Christ: both repelling and compelling. The Oxford professor and philosopher Sir Alfred Ayer noted that the idea of Christ’s death on a cross for our sins is “intellectually contemptible and morally outrageous.” Apostle Paul here zeroes in on the truth that Christianity is supernaturally based on God’s calling of sinners to Himself. We are Christians because God did work in our hearts to bring us to faith in Christ. Christianity is not intellectual but it is supernatural. As Christians, we understand that Christ is the power and the wisdom of God because we are experiencing the effects of the crucified and resurrected Saviour in our lives.

Engrained in the nucleus of the gospel is a disarming simplicity symbolised by the crucifixion, the blood and the Word, and the call of the “simple and foolish” folks to eternal life, which nothing on earth could purchase. There is power in the blood. There is power in the message of the cross. And there is power in the name of Jesus Christ. When a preaching exalts this truth, the power in the Word is released to save and transform lives. To the Greeks, this is foolishness; to the Jews, it is a stumbling block. But to those who believe, it is both the power and the wisdom of God. God pours contempt on the wisdom of men and exalts the foolishness of the gospel to win the lost world.

You can step out like Joey, speak to the sinner lovingly, plead passionately, implore gently and watch the wisdom of God save more souls through your dogged simplicity of preaching the good news.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The gospel message, as simple as it is, remains the most potent message for the transformation of people.

Chicago Mayor Faces Backlash for Controversial Anti-ICE Gesture Linked to Tragic Incident

0

In the aftermath of a tragic event involving the death of 18-year-old college student Sheridan Gorman, allegedly killed by an undocumented immigrant, the political landscape in Illinois has been rife with controversy. Filling the gap left by recent political maneuvers, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has stepped into the spotlight with a move that has stirred both support and criticism.

On Wednesday, Mayor Johnson hosted a press conference to reveal a newly named city snowplow. The plow, which will soon be clearing Chicago’s streets, bears the slogan “Abolish ICE”—a choice that emerged from a recent naming contest. Johnson introduced the snowplow with enthusiasm, highlighting the city’s commitment to justice and human rights, regardless of immigration status. “This name reflects Chicago’s legacy of standing up for justice, dignity, and the rights of everyone,” Johnson declared, standing proudly in front of a massive salt dome. He took the opportunity to reaffirm Chicago’s stance against the presence of ICE in the city, stating, “Chicago believes in abolishing ICE.”

During the event, a dissenting voice from the crowd interrupted, accusing Mayor Johnson of disregarding the damage caused by violent criminals who are in the country illegally. The man was quickly removed by security, but his point lingered—highlighting the mayor’s lack of commentary on the sanctuary-city policies implicated in Gorman’s tragic death, despite his vocal opposition to ICE operations in local airports.

To recall the incident, Sheridan Gorman was fatally shot last Thursday morning while she and her friends were searching for a vantage point to watch the Northern Lights along the Chicago waterfront. Jose Medina-Medina, a 25-year-old Venezuelan national without legal status in the U.S., was arrested and faces multiple charges, including first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault with a firearm, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

When a man in the crowd shouted that Mayor Johnson was celebrating the harm caused by violent illegals, the truth-speaker was instantly escorted out of the event by security. It’s a valid point the man was making, especially when you consider Johnson has had plenty to say about the deployment of ICE agents to local airports – he’s “closely monitoring” the situation – but has quite cowardly avoided commenting on the sanctuary-city policies that led to the cold-blooded murder of Sheridan Gorman.

As RedState previously reported, Sheridan was shot and killed last Thursday morning while walking with friends along the Chicago waterfront; they were apparently looking for a good spot from which to view the Northern Lights. Jose Medina-Medina, a 25-year-old illegal from Venezuela, was later arrested for the crime and charged with one felony count of first-degree murder, one felony count of attempted first-degree murder, three felony counts of aggravated assault/discharge of a firearm, and one felony count of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon.

Medina-Medina entered the U.S. illegally in 2023, was released unsupervised into the country by the Biden administration, and was arrested for shoplifting later that year. Lax Democrat policies put him back on the street, where he was free to harm others.

Rhapsody Of Realities 7 March 2026: The Expression And Embodiment Of Divinity

Rhapsody Of Realities 7 March 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): The Expression And Embodiment Of Divinity

TOPIC: Righteousness Consciousness (Rhapsody of Realities 7 March 2026)

For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell (Colossians 1:19).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

The Lord Jesus is much more than a great or highly honoured religious leader; He’s the totality of divinity in flesh. He’s the embodiment of Deity. Titus 2:13 describes Him as “the great God”: “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.”

He’s also the totality of all wisdom and knowledge: Colossians 2:3, “In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” Hallelujah! When He walked the streets of Galilee, Nazareth, and Jerusalem, that was Wisdom walking; that was Wisdom personified; God in the flesh was taking His steps upon the earth.

When this understanding dawns on your spirit, you’ll know what it truly means to be identified with the Lord Jesus and to pray in His Name. His Name has all authority in heaven, in earth, and under the earth. And in the Book of Revelation, the Bible tells us something staggering; when the Apostle John saw the great throne of Almighty God, the One seated upon it was the Lord Jesus. That tells you who He really is.

In the Old Testament, God revealed Himself to Israel through different names: Jehovah Rapha (the Lord my healer), Jehovah Tsidkenu (the Lord my righteousness), Jehovah Shalom (the Lord my peace), and so on. But the Bible says He has magnified His Word above His name (Psalm 138:2). Who’s the Word? Jesus Christ; He’s the Word made flesh.

Now the Bible says, “…at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10-11). To know Him is to love Him, for He is the very expression of God’s person, glory, righteousness and love. Blessed be God!

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, I worship and adore you; you’re the greatest, the all-powerful and sovereign Lord of heaven and earth. You’re the great God of glory, saviour of the world, the King of righteousness and eternity. You’re gracious, glorious, ever-loving, faithful, true, and forever just. I live triumphantly in your Name, for you’re my life, my light and my all. Amen.

Trump Denounces Netanyahu Amid Controversial Conflict Allegations: A Historic Diplomatic Rift

0

In a stark rebuff, Donald Trump dismissed Benjamin Netanyahu’s appeal for the United States to instigate a street rebellion aimed at overthrowing Iran’s government.

“Why should we encourage people to protest when they’ll just face deadly force?” Trump reportedly questioned during a phone conversation with Netanyahu last week, as confirmed by a U.S. official.

This discussion followed closely after the death of Iran’s security chief, Ali Larijani, in an Israeli attack last Tuesday. Netanyahu suggested to Trump that Iran’s leadership was in turmoil, presenting an opportunity for a popular revolt, according to officials from both the U.S. and Israel, as reported by Axios.

However, Trump was apprehensive about the potential for widespread violence, recalling the thousands of Iranians who had been killed in past anti-government demonstrations by security forces.

Ultimately, both leaders decided to observe whether Iranians would spontaneously mobilize during the upcoming annual festival of fire, without external prompts, as per a source familiar with the conversation.

But Netanyahu proceeded anyway, stating on TV: ‘Our aircraft are striking terrorist operatives on the ground, on roads and in public squares. This is meant to allow the brave Iranian people to celebrate the Festival of Fire. So go out and celebrate…we are watching from above.’

The rupture lays bare a widening gap between the two leaders, with Washington quietly distancing itself from Jerusalem on regime change despite Trump urging a popular uprising when the war began.

Netanyahu has since secretly convened his generals and pushed for a 48-hour blitz on Iran’s top targets, even as Trump moves to nail down a swift peace deal.

Netanyahu convened Israeli commanders in a bunker deep beneath Tel Aviv on Tuesday after reviewing Trump’s 15-point peace plan.

The Israeli prime minister and his top military advisers were alarmed the US plan did not go far enough to curb Tehran’s military capabilities.

Netanyahu’s Thursday deadline reflects deep concern within the Israeli government that Trump could reach a deal with Tehran at any moment, sources say.

Israeli officials present at Netanyahu’s underground meeting described the atmosphere as ‘tense.’

Iran rejected the proposal on Wednesday, but Trump remains bullish on a deal and a ceasefire could come as early as next Saturday, Israeli media has reported.

Netanyahu’s inner circle is intent on reaching three key war goals: eliminating Iran’s ballistic-missile stockpile, ensuring Tehran cannot develop a nuclear warhead, and fostering an environment within Iran for civilians to overthrow the Islamic regime.

‘If you do not obtain the three objectives, you will not be able to end the war,’ said Boaz Bismuth, a member of Netanyahu’s party.

Pentagon chiefs last night ordered around 2,000 paratroopers from the 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East to join some 4,500 Marines already en route, as Trump’s peace push shows signs of collapse.

The President is prepared to pull the trigger on a full-scale invasion if Tehran continues to rebuff his diplomatic overtures, according to members of his inner circle.

‘Trump has a hand open for a deal, and the other is a fist, waiting to punch you in the f***ing face,’ a Trump aide told Axios.

The 15-point plan, modeled on Trump’s Gaza deal, would require Iran to dismantle all nuclear and long-range missile capabilities, open the Strait of Hormuz, and abandon proxy terror groups.

But Iranian state TV said Wednesday the regime had rejected the proposal outright, with Tehran demanding the closure of all US bases in the Gulf, reparations, and an end to Israeli strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Tehran is also seeking to bring the strait – a chokepoint for roughly a fifth of the world’s oil – under its control, allowing it to charge transit fees on passing vessels, much like Egypt does with the Suez Canal.

A Trump official described Iran’s demands as ‘ridiculous’ and ‘unrealistic’, warning that a deal is now harder to reach than before the war began as the President readies a potential ground invasion force.

US and Iranian diplomats have not spoken through direct contact and instead communicate via Middle Eastern intermediaries from Egypt, Turkey and Pakistan.

Saudi Arabia has made clear that ceding control of the Strait of Hormuz is a non-starter, with Riyadh urging Trump to stay in the fight.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has repeatedly urged Trump to finish the Islamic regime in calls over the last week, including the use of ground forces to seize Iran’s energy sites.

Iran remains wary of Trump’s envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, accusing the pair of ‘backstabbing’ Tehran in negotiations ahead of the US and Israel’s strikes on February 28.

Iranian officials are pushing for Vice President JD Vance to lead the US negotiating team, believing he is sympathetic after privately expressing doubts about Operation Epic Fury.

Brace Yourself: Imminent Fuel Shortages Poised to Hike Food Prices Nationwide in Australia

0

In Brief

  • Diesel shortages are disrupting transport and supply chains across Australia.
  • Rising fuel costs are expected to result in food price increases within weeks.

Shoppers should prepare for certain price increases, as supply chains face significant disruptions due to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East affecting oil supplies.

Supply chain management and logistics specialist Elizabeth Jackson emphasized that these rising costs are now inevitable, stating, “It’s no longer a question of if, but rather when these higher expenses will impact consumers.”

Jackson highlighted the critical role of diesel fuel in the transportation of food, noting, “Every kilojoule of food sourced from an Australian farm is transported by diesel-powered vehicles.”

She explained that even the simplest foods, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, which undergo minimal processing, rely heavily on transport systems. This dependence extends to the most processed foods destined for export.

Jackson added, “Additionally, diesel is crucial for the mechanization involved in food production, such as the operation of tractors.” This underscores the wide-reaching implications of fuel disruptions on food supply chains.

Price rises are likely to begin with fresh produce because of its short supply chains and constant need for transport.

Increases were possible within two to three weeks with a “slow burn” most likely rather than one sudden spike.

“The fresher the produce, the quicker we’re going to see the prices increase,” Jackson said.

At least 107 petrol stations in NSW have run out of diesel, while more than 40 have reported not having any fuel at all.

Jackson said the situation underscored the need for stronger fuel resilience in Australia, including greater investment in alternative energy sources such as biofuels, rather than continued reliance on fossil fuels.

In the short term, she said governments were limited in how much they could intervene beyond managing supply.

Coles said it would review how much it was paying companies transporting food and groceries to its stores more frequently.

The supermarket giant did not say whether this would lead to an increase in prices for shoppers.

“We will be temporarily increasing the frequency that we review the fuel component of our freight rates from monthly to twice per month — so that changing fuel costs are reflected more quickly and fairly,” a Coles spokesperson said.

“In the current climate, this means transport providers will be able to recoup more of the rising fuel costs.”

Commonwealth, state and territory leaders will meet next week for another national cabinet meeting on the shortages.

Shocking Crime Scene: Man Accused of Strangling Wife with Vacuum Cord—A Disturbing Tale Unfolds

0

A man is accused of killing his wife by strangling her with a vacuum cleaner cord, wrapping it around her neck multiple times before allegedly confessing the crime via text message to a friend.

Brian Hernandez now faces two counts of first-degree murder following the discovery of his wife, Estefania Abril-Hernandez, deceased in their home on March 19. This information comes from a press release issued by the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office in Illinois.

Currently being held without bond, it remains uncertain if Brian has entered a plea. Attempts to reach his attorney for comments have been unsuccessful so far.

Estefania was reported missing by her family on March 18. The following day, Illinois State Police stopped her vehicle on Interstate 80, which was being driven by Brian. He was found with his wife’s cell phone and subsequently taken into custody.

Authorities, upon entering the couple’s home in Villa Park through an unlocked window, discovered Estefania’s body in a bedroom. The power cord of a vacuum cleaner was found tightly wrapped around her neck.

Police alleged that Brian and Estefania were at their home, which was scheduled for a foreclosure auction, to clean out their personal belongings when they started arguing.

Brian allegedly strangled his wife, according to police, then fled the scene. Authorities say they later found text messages, allegedly from Hernandez to another person, that read, “Hey…please call me, I have something to confess please” and “I’m pretty sure Estefania is dead.”

Estefania’s death follows a slew of legal troubles for Brian. Authorities learned that he has an order of protection against him tied to a criminal case which prohibits contact with Estefania and their son, according to the press release.

Plus, he’s on pretrial release with an active failure-to-appear warrant in the case, in which he is accused of interfering with a victim’s attempt to report domestic violence, according to the press release.

Brian will next appear in court on April 6.

A young man, aged 24, stands accused of luring UCLA students into his vehicle and now faces serious charges, including rape, with authorities cautioning that additional victims could emerge.

The UCLA Police Department has reported the apprehension of Alexander Schecter, a Santa Monica resident. Detectives allege his involvement in several offenses such as sexual assault, kidnapping, and extortion.

On March 20, Schecter was detained at his home in Santa Monica and subsequently incarcerated within the Los Angeles County jail system.

He is confronted with a series of felony charges, notably rape by force, forcible oral copulation, robbery, extortion, and battery.

Alexander Schecter, who has been implicated in the kidnapping and sexual assault of individuals connected to the UCLA vicinity, was taken into custody by UCLA police. Officials confirm he has no ties to the university.

Bail was set at $600,000, but records show he has since been released.

The arrest stems from an early-morning incident near campus earlier this month.

According to investigators, on March 8 around 3 a.m., two female UCLA students were being dropped off when the suspect allegedly prevented them from exiting the vehicle and threatened violence.

Fearing for their safety, the victims remained inside as the suspect drove them roughly half a mile before stopping in the Gayley Avenue area.

Detectives identified Schecter as the suspect and arrested him days later on kidnapping and false imprisonment charges. He was booked and later posted bail.

During the investigation, police said detectives uncovered evidence linking Schecter to a previously unreported sexual assault involving an adult woman with no known affiliation to UCLA.

The assault occurred Oct. 12, 2025, in the area of Venice Boulevard and Clarington Avenue in Los Angeles, according to police, who said they later confirmed the attack and developed probable cause for the additional charges.

Investigators say they believe there may be additional victims and are urging anyone with information to contact the UCLA Police Department.

Authorities said Schecter is not believed to be affiliated with the university.

The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.

It was not immediately clear if Schechter has an attorney representing him.
