The father of four children killed by their mother and grandmother in a horrific upstate New York murder-suicide said it was “sickening” to learn that the children endured “such unimaginable” suffering.

Brady Harmon spoke out after police released an update indicating that his children — Harper, 13, Hudson, 11, and 10-year-old twins Gavin and Gracelynn Harmon — were poisoned with a combination of allergy medication and mitragynine, a key compound in so-called gas-station heroin.

“I will never understand how two people who claimed to love and care about these children could deliberately cause them such unimaginable harm,” Harmon said of his former wife, Sarah Myers, 44, and her mother, Amy Steadman, 64. Police said the women killed the children before taking their own lives.

“The pain is still as raw as if it happened yesterday,” Harmon wrote on Facebook three months after the shocking murder-suicide in Mechanicville, New York, on June 10.

“Reading today’s official toxicology findings makes it even more sickening to understand what was done to them.”

The toxicology report found that the four children were killed with diphenhydramine, the active ingredient in Benadryl, and mitragynine, a primary compound in kratom. Kratom is a psychoactive plant-based extract with opioid-like effects that is commonly sold over the counter at convenience stores and gas stations.

The Mechanicville Police Department said diphenhydramine “was present at fatal or lethal levels in all six individuals” discovered at the scene. Mitragynine was detected in four of the six.

“Harper, Hudson, Gavin, and Gracelynn were innocent. They deserved to feel safe. They deserved to grow up, chase their dreams, celebrate birthdays, reach milestones, and live the lives that were stolen from them,” wrote Harmon, who now lives in Utah.

“I still miss them every second. And I will continue speaking their names and fighting to make sure their lives — and what happened to them — are never forgotten.”

Harmon previously told News10 that the people responsible for his children’s deaths deserved “a special place in hell.”

He has since moved to sue New York authorities for more than $400 million, alleging that his children died after years of abuse continued despite multiple warning signs that officials failed to address.

Harmon filed a legal notice indicating his intention to sue the City of Mechanicville, Ballston Spa Central School District, Mechanicville City School District, Saratoga County, and the Mechanicville Housing Authority.

In the 17-page filing, Harmon alleges that his former wife and mother-in-law suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy — a mental health condition in which a caregiver, most often a parent, deliberately makes a child sick or harms them, or falsely portrays the child as ill.

The filing further claims that Myers and Steadman were “regularly drugging” the children “to control them and make them sick,” allegedly using substances such as Benadryl and kratom — the same drugs identified in the toxicology report following their deaths.

Lindsay Clancy’s defense attorney has asked a judge to investigate the phone records of the only juror who opposed acquitting her in the case, which ended in a mistrial this month.

Eleven of the 12 jurors were prepared last Friday to find Clancy not criminally responsible. But their inability to reach a unanimous decision left the judge with no choice but to declare a mistrial, keeping the case unresolved.

Neither the prosecution nor the defense disputed that Clancy strangled her children—five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson and eight-month-old Callan—in the family’s Massachusetts home in January 2023 before attempting to take her own life.

Defense lawyer Kevin Reddington portrayed Clancy as a devoted mother suffering from the rare psychiatric condition postpartum psychosis. Prosecutors, however, maintained that she understood her actions.

The lone holdout, 48-year-old Michael P. Desronvil, sided with prosecutors and said he had no doubt that Clancy was guilty—directly contradicting the conclusion reached by the other jurors.

Reddington is now asking Judge William Sullivan to review Desronvil’s mobile-phone metadata from the period when the jury was deliberating, according to a motion obtained by the New York Times.

The filing also seeks to question Desronvil about whether he was truthful during jury selection and whether he used his phone or accessed outside information while jurors were considering the case.

Reddington wants the questioning recorded and conducted with attorneys for both sides present.

“The inquiry will not touch the substance of deliberations,” the motion states.

It remains uncertain whether the jury’s decision—or the circumstances surrounding the deadlock—could ultimately be challenged.

Clancy, a former labor and delivery nurse, acknowledged killing her three children but argued that she should be found not guilty by reason of insanity because she was experiencing postpartum psychosis at the time.

Eleven jurors accepted that explanation for the killings. Desronvil did not.

After the mistrial was declared, several jurors publicly accused Desronvil of refusing to seriously engage with their arguments. Some characterized his conduct as “arrogant.”

Paula Devlin, 65, told the Daily Mail that Desronvil’s explanations for his guilty vote “made no sense” when jurors challenged him. She also said he remained “quiet” for much of the weeklong deliberations.

According to Devlin, he appeared more concerned with controlling the tone of the group’s conversations than explaining why he remained convinced that Clancy was guilty.

“The main thing he focused on was that sometimes we would all want to talk at once, and that was very upsetting to him.

‘He would get upset and say, ”Listen to what she’s saying, listen to what he’s saying, be respectful’.”

‘We were trying to say to him, that sometimes somebody says something and they get lost in their thought or they can’t find the right word, and somebody else puts that word in there for them or finishes their thought, that’s how normal conversation works.

‘But when that would happen, he would get upset and just take all this time lecturing us about not being respectful.’

Devlin also claimed the holdout rarely fraternized with the group during the trial, instead preferring to speak to his wife or watch videos on his phone.

She said the 11 jurors who decided Clancy was not guilty of murder or manslaughter in the deaths of her kids felt ‘defeat’ and ‘anger’ when the mistrial was declared.

Meanwhile, the father of the three slain children, Patrick Clancy, revealed on Sunday that he suffered a panic attack and ended up needing medical treatment while giving grueling testimony at his ex-wife’s trial.

The grieving father sat down with 60 Minutes to share his heartbreak over the deaths of his three children Cora, five, Dawson, three and Callan, eight months old, as well as the toll that their mother’s trial took on him.

Patrick was one of the key witnesses in the case, testifying to Clancy’s spiraling mental health and describing the moment that he returned home to find his children dead.

Throughout his hours-long testimony, the Daily Mail saw the 38-year-old struggling to contain his emotions, physically trembling, taking deep breaths and wiping away tears as he relived the painful memories from that day in January 2023.

Speaking about the ordeal to 60 Minutes, Patrick shared that he had experienced a ‘massive, traumatic panic attack’ during a recess in proceedings inside Plymouth County Superior Court, Massachusetts.

‘We did take a break right before they played the 911 call, which I knew was going to be just horrific,’ he said.

‘And I went to a back room, and I started having this massive, traumatic panic attack. My heart was pounding.’

Patrick said he was put in an ambulance and offered medication, but turned it down, insisting he wanted to resume testifying.

‘I said “I don’t want it because I want to go back and I want to finish this so I can be done with this,”‘ he said of that moment. ‘And I went back and I finished the testimony.’

Eighteen people accused of playing a role in the brazen 2021 killing of Haitian President Jovenel Moïse arrived in the United States Sunday to face federal prosecution. Fox News cameras captured their landing in Miami.

Exclusive video showed the defendants leaving a U.S. military aircraft in shackles as FBI and Department of Homeland Security agents escorted them across the tarmac. Their transfer represents a significant development in the international investigation into the plot that ended with Moïse being shot inside his private residence.

“Today, the FBI and our interagency partners executed the largest foreign transfer of custody in FBI history,” FBI Director Kash Patel said in a statement to News Media. He described the operation as the latest step in an 18-month effort to locate high-value suspects around the world and bring them to the United States to face justice.

Moïse, who was 53, was fatally shot in July 2021 at his home in the hills overlooking Port-au-Prince. His death created a deep political vacuum in Haiti and further strengthened the position of powerful armed groups operating across the country.

FBI Miami said the defendants, who include Haitian and Colombian nationals, were transferred from Haitian custody to face charges in the U.S. Prosecutors claim American jurisdiction because much of the alleged conspiracy was planned and funded in South Florida.

According to federal prosecutors, fraudulent COVID-19 PPP loans helped finance the deadly scheme. A five-year investigation involving 30 people charged with related offenses found that businesses in Florida allegedly obtained taxpayer-backed funds and used them to acquire firearms, tactical gear and Colombian fighters involved in the attack on Moïse.

The federal case includes allegations of conspiracy to kill or kidnap someone abroad and wire fraud. Prosecutors also say some members of the operation impersonated U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents to gain entry to the Haitian president’s residence.

As the suspects reached Miami, Department of Justice prosecutors unsealed an indictment describing an extensive conspiracy. The court filing says the operation was initially intended to overthrow Moïse by force but eventually turned into a plan to assassinate him.

“This was really about greed,” Brett Skiles, the FBI’s special agent in charge in Miami, told Fox News. He said the suspects had business interests in the United States and believed regime change in Haiti would help them secure profitable government contracts.

The defendants were scheduled to appear for the first time in federal court in Miami on Monday morning. Since cameras are not allowed inside federal courtrooms, the footage from the airport provides the only public images of the suspects entering U.S. custody.

“This assassination plot was planned, financed, conspired, here in Miami,” Jason Reding Quiñones, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of Florida, told Fox News. He said the prosecution seeks accountability not only for the alleged murder plot but also for the use of government funds to support it through fraud.

Four alleged leaders of the 2021 assassination conspiracy were convicted in Miami in May and could receive life sentences.

During a nine-week federal trial, prosecutors argued that the men recruited roughly two dozen former Colombian soldiers and provided them with financing, firearms, ammunition and tactical vests.

“When you pick up the phone and engage with foreign partners at a historic level, as we’ve done — a 400% increase these last 18 months — this is what happens,” Patel said in his statement.

He also thanked FBI Miami for leading the investigation and praised the law enforcement agencies that carried out the transfer.

Haitian Justice Minister Patrick ​Pelissier confirmed in a statement that suspects had been transferred from Haiti to the US, adding that Haitian judicial proceedings had been delayed.

“While the American procedure has recorded significant progress, notably arrests, prosecutions, and ​convictions, the Haitian procedure remains confronted with major difficulties and has not, to date, resulted ​in a trial being held, after five years of proceedings,” Pelissier said.

In ⁠Haiti, prominent human rights activist Pierre Espérance said that the slow pace of the Haitian case and the transfer of the 18 suspects to the U.S. was a “disgrace for the Haitian ⁠justice system.”

He ​argued for strengthening the country’s justice system to allow ​for such complex cases to be tried inside Haiti, rather than sending them to the U.S. for prosecution.

An experimental cancer therapy has reached a potentially significant milestone in the treatment of solid tumors.

Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy has produced impressive results against blood cancers, including certain leukemias and lymphomas. Its effectiveness against solid tumors, however, has remained limited — until now.

A 3-year-old boy with chemotherapy-resistant cancer that had spread from his liver to his lungs and possibly his bones was declared cancer-free after receiving just two doses of the experimental treatment.

Researchers from Texas Children’s, Baylor College of Medicine and Seattle Children’s detailed the case in a report published this month in The New England Journal of Medicine.

The child had been diagnosed with hepatoblastoma, a common type of liver cancer in young children. At the time, doctors found a large tumor measuring 4.4 × 3.8 × 2.8 inches.

Although he underwent several rounds of chemotherapy and surgery to remove the tumor, the cancer returned. It later spread to his lungs, while tests also indicated possible involvement of his bones.

Doctors then turned to CAR T-cell therapy, an approach that removes a patient’s T cells, genetically modifies them to recognize cancer and returns them to the body to attack malignant cells.

The boy received two doses of the experimental GPC3-CAR treatment over an eight-week period. Afterward, doctors found no remaining evidence of disease, and he remained cancer-free one year later — a result indicating complete regression.

“This study provides evidence that these novel CAR T-cells may be a safe and effective modality for hepatoblastoma and highlights the need for further assessment in patients with GPC3+ solid tumors,” study co-author and pediatric oncologist Andras Heczey said.

Liver cancer is the third-leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Hepatoblastoma is generally treated with surgery and chemotherapy, but those approaches do not always eliminate the disease.

CAR T-cell therapy is an innovative cancer treatment, but the FDA has approved it only for certain forms of leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma.

Treating solid tumors with CAR T cells has proved especially challenging because the tumors can create a hostile chemical environment that blocks or destroys attacking immune cells.

Cancer cells may also be difficult to distinguish from healthy tissue. Tumors can recruit nearby healthy cells, including fibroblasts and regulatory immune cells, to form a protective barrier around them.

The latest development follows research suggesting that T-cell therapy may also help treat deadly brain tumors in children.

Because the liver cancer treatment was tested in only one patient during an early-phase trial, researchers caution that additional studies are needed to determine its safety and overall effectiveness. Still, the outcome offers an encouraging signal.

Further testing of GPC3-CAR therapy is underway through the CARE study at Baylor College of Medicine. The trial is the first human study of an experimental CAR T-cell treatment for children with recurrent solid tumors.

Presley Gerber died at 27, with a new report citing a suspected overdose.

Gerber’s family—including his mother, supermodel Cindy Crawford; his father, businessman Rande Gerber; and his sister, model and actress Kaia Gerber—was told that his death appeared to be linked to an overdose, according to TMZ on Monday.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for the Gerber family for comment but has not received a response.

Presley had been living in a separate house on the grounds of a rehabilitation facility in the Los Angeles area.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said Presley died Sunday at a rehabilitation facility, bringing a devastating end to a struggle he had increasingly discussed on social media. The official cause of death has not yet been determined.

The medical examiner’s office told People on Monday that an examination was scheduled for today. The office said: “The investigation is still ongoing and there is limited information available.”

The statement continued: “Death was pronounced at 09:45 hours on September 20, 2026, by responding paramedics. The Santa Monica Police Department is the investigating law enforcement agency.”

The model had spoken publicly about a decade-long battle with drug addiction and mental health challenges.

Earlier this year, he revealed that he had undergone a “pre-ibogaine flood dose” at a treatment clinic in Mexico—a single, high-dose administration of the naturally occurring psychoactive substance ibogaine.

Ibogaine is derived from an African shrub and is reported to help ease withdrawal symptoms. The high-dose treatment is intended to produce what proponents describe as a profound “reset.”

In March, Presley’s parents, supermodel Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, along with his sister Kaia, praised his “courage” after he posted about beginning the treatment.

Crawford wrote: “You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!” Kaia added: “That’s my brother I am so damn proud.”

Rande wrote: “I’m so proud of you and your courage. Facing what’s hard takes real strength and watching you find your way back to yourself is everything. I love you so much.”

Ibogaine is classified as a Schedule I controlled substance in the United States. It is legal or available by prescription in countries including Canada and Brazil, and is used at specialized clinics in Mexico.

Presley praised the Beond Ibogaine clinic in Cancun, where treatment begins at $12,500 for a 10-day program, describing its staff as an “incredible, caring, kind and on-their-s*** team.”

In a video caption, Presley wrote: “I was absolutely terrified, and I knew I would be again if I ever had to face something like this (helps to not go into the situations you do that get ya there but that’s life sometimes.)”

He continued: “My mantras were love yourself and this gotta be the last time for this reason. Letting go of control didn’t come easy, but I trusted there was something bigger than me guiding it.”

Beond Ibogaine’s website states that ‘Ingesting a large enough dose induces a temporary psychedelic experience that can last several hours, normally with no significant side-effects.

‘For hundreds of years, indigenous African peoples… have ingested large doses of Ibogaine in its raw root bark form for its spiritual and healing properties.

‘Over the past 30 years, Ibogaine has been administered in various clinics around the world for medical treatment purposes, most often to treat drug dependence.’

Despite its ban, public figures including singer Melissa Etheridge – who lost her 21-year-old son Beckett to a fentanyl overdose in 2020 – and Khloe Kardashian’s ex husband Lamar Odom have endorsed Ibogaine’s benefits.

Last November, Presley revealed he had taken a step back from social media to ‘take care of my own mental health for a bit.’

One month later, he opened up about his personal life in a candid social media video. He started sharing ‘Mental Health Mondays’ videos on his Instagram. In one, he listed the medication he takes for ‘night terrors’ and ‘panic attacks.’

‘I feel like honesty is the best policy,’ he began. 

He also said his use of medication had been ‘fluctuating up and down depending on what’s been going on in my life.’ 

‘Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently, so that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now,’ he shared. 

He did not go into detail about the ‘loss’ he referenced, but went on to explain that he would experience panic attacks that were ‘really, really bad.’ 

In one particularly bleak admission, he confessed he no longer even knew precisely how much of one medication he had been taking.

‘Who f***ing knows anymore,’ he said.

He acknowledged that navigating the advice he received from medical professionals could itself be frightening. 

He noted in the Instagram reel that ‘doctors say a lot of different things so it’s kind of scary. But hopefully between my research and their research and the world and God, we can finally figure this out.’

in July 2025, he spoke about bringing healthy habits into his life. He told about his upbringing noting how he grew up as a ‘very active’ child who would be playing sports including swimming, surfing and water polo.

It was when he started working that he said sports suddenly became less of a priority – and it took a toll on his mental health. 

‘The quality of life rapidly decreased.’ He said it took ’10 years’ to figure out that he needed to reconnect with physical activity again.

The tragedy cuts short the life of a model who had seemingly been destined to follow his famous mother into fashion from an early age. 

A spokesman for Crawford told the Daily Mail on Sunday, ‘The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.’ 

Presley started modeling at age 15 and was featured in campaigns for fashion labels such as Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein. 

Presley was signed to IMG models and appeared in a 2018 Pepsi ad with his mother.

He also struggled with mental health at a young age and was arrested for driving under the influence in 2019. 

His death comes just weeks after his younger sister Kaia Gerber, 25, opened up about the enormous toll her brother’s struggles had taken on their famous family – admitting the turmoil had effectively ‘leveled everyone.’ 

‘When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,’ she told Vogue.

Presley had also talked about the lack of ‘direction’ he has from doctors when it comes to his medication. 

He spoke openly about feeling lost as he attempted to navigate his mental health problems – even revealing that he had seen 15 psychiatrists. 

He complained that doctors had given him an overwhelming array of medications but too little guidance about how to manage them. 

‘I’d like doctors to be like, “Take this three times a day.” But every psychiatrist I’ve had – and I’ve had 15 – are like, ‘Here’s 20 medications and take this if you feel like this, take this as needed.’

‘And I’m like, “No, don’t give me that much leeway.” I need some direction,’ he continued. 

Kaia revealed last month that watching her brother battle his problems led her to cast herself as the family’s ‘easy’ child and someone who did not want to add another burden for their parents. 

She explained, ‘I think that’s also why I started to self-​identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.’

But she also praised her brother’s willingness to strip away the secrecy surrounding his struggles.

She described his honesty and openness as ‘refreshing,’ contrasting it with the intensely private way their parents had traditionally handled family life.

‘My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything – and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, “I’m gonna be very human for everyone.” There’s only so much you can hide from the world,’ she said.

‘And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them,’ she noted.

This past May, Presley expressed gratitude for his father in a heartfelt Instagram post.

He shared a photograph of the pair paddle boarding together and paid an emotional tribute to the man he said had steadfastly supported him through his darkest periods. 

‘I have the best father in the world. He’s never given up on me. He’s always there for me. Always has the best advice for me. I appreciate this man more than words can explain. I love you pops. To more paddle boarding days around the world.’

His mother Crawford showed her support in the comments, writing, ‘My boys!’.

The father of two wrote, ‘I am honored [to] take this ride called life with you over and over any time. Sometimes we may fall but with a little help always get back up. I love you forever Prez.’

Presley was open about his mental health struggles noting how he had issues from ‘a very young age’ – and labeled it as ‘the ultimate pandemic.’

During an appearance on the Studio 22 podcast in 2023, Presley had shared, ‘It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it. 

Even while struggling himself, Presley said he hoped his experiences might ultimately allow him to help others facing their own battles. 

‘Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,’ he said.

‘That is really what I want to do – help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body.

He added, ‘I’ve seen a lot of stuff and I’ve learned a lot of things. What I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for some other people, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes that I made.’ 

Former American Idol contestant Caleb Flynn allegedly told his mistress he was “literally trying to think of ways to kill” his wife without ending up in prison, prosecutors say. They accuse Flynn of later shooting Ashley Flynn and staging the home to resemble a burglary.

The disturbing message was among more than 100,000 texts prosecutors say Flynn exchanged with his mistress during the year before Ashley Flynn was killed on Feb. 16, WHIO in Dayton reported.

“I was up until 4 a.m. last night crying, literally trying to think of ways to kill her and not go to jail,” Flynn allegedly wrote.

During opening statements Friday, prosecutors said Flynn had maintained a yearlong affair and argued that his extensive text exchanges revealed both a motive and an intent to kill, according to WHIO.

Miami County Prosecutor Paul Watkins told jurors that the messages—some sent months apart and others only hours before Ashley’s death—showed Flynn repeatedly expressing hostility toward his wife and a desire to leave her so he could build a life with his mistress.

Flynn has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder and additional charges related to his wife’s death.

Fox News legal analyst Josh Ritter said Sunday that a message Flynn allegedly sent the day before Ashley was killed could be especially damaging to the defense.

Ritter said on “Fox & Friends Sunday” that Flynn appeared to suggest the next day would be unforgettable and that he would make a choice for his mistress.

“If we were curious at all about how the prosecution would attempt to prove motive in this case, it became abundantly clear during opening statements,” Ritter said.

Flynn’s defense acknowledged the affair in its opening statement but maintained that marital misconduct alone does not prove he murdered Ashley, WHIO reported.

Defense attorney Emily Smith argued that prosecutors were presenting a case based on circumstantial evidence rather than direct proof. She told jurors Ashley deserved justice grounded in evidence, not speculation.

Prosecutors allege Flynn used a 9mm handgun to shoot Ashley inside the couple’s Tipp City, Ohio, home before arranging the scene to suggest that an intruder had carried out the attack.

Flynn called 911 and reported that someone had broken into the house and shot his wife, according to audio previously obtained by News Media.

“Oh my god, somebody broke into my home, somebody broke into my home and shot my wife,” Flynn told the dispatcher. “My wife, she’s got two shots to her head, there’s blood everywhere. Oh my god, oh my god, oh my God.”

Jurors were shown police body-camera footage Friday from inside the Flynn residence on the night of the shooting. The first officers to arrive also testified about the initial investigation, WHIO reported.

The footage showed Flynn telling officers that a stranger had entered the home and killed his wife. One officer testified that Flynn said he had fallen asleep, then awoke to the sounds of a break-in followed by gunfire.

An FBI agent also testified that investigators canvassed more than 80 homes looking for cameras or other evidence that could support Flynn’s claim that an intruder had been in the neighborhood.

Flynn was a contestant on “American Idol” and spoke publicly about his love for his wife during a 2013 hometown interview for the show.

“I absolutely love the Lord. I love my wife more than anything. She is very, very pretty…. I love her,” Flynn said at the time.

Ritter called the alleged messages between Flynn and his mistress “really, really damning evidence.”

He noted Flynn remains presumed innocent and said the defense appears to be pursuing a theory that investigators rushed to judgment.

“But given that abundance of digital evidence, I think they’re going to have a really tough time proving, or trying to create any kind of reasonable doubt in this case,” Ritter said.

Jurors are expected back in court Monday morning as testimony continues.
