Taylor Swift Celebrates Travis Kelce’s 37th Birthday in NYC

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce stepped out in New York on Monday to celebrate the NFL star’s 37th birthday.

The 36-year-old Grammy winner dressed for the occasion in a black lace-trimmed slip dress, adding an oversized leather jacket, while her husband opted for a dark green cardigan, tailored trousers and Cuban-style heels.

The couple made a polished entrance at Torrisi, the Italian restaurant hosting the Kansas City Chiefs player’s intimate birthday dinner.

Kelce and Swift remained close throughout the outing, with the football star holding his wife’s hand and helping her as they climbed into and out of their vehicle.

Swift appeared smitten, wearing a soft smile during the sighting, while Kelce seemed unable to take his eyes off her.

The birthday dinner came soon after Swift gave Kelce a warm shoutout during her surprise cameo on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, following the success of her chart-topping new single, Patient Zero.

After their upscale Italian meal, the pair were seen swiftly getting into their car before departing for their next destination.

Swift and Kelce married in early July in what was described as the year’s biggest wedding. They reportedly rented Madison Square Garden and welcomed roughly 1,000 celebrity friends and family members to the celebration.

Just under two weeks ago, Swift released an expanded edition of her hit album The Life of a Showgirl, including several affectionate references to her football-playing husband.

Her inspiration was especially clear on the song Cleveland!, whose lyrics appeared to trace the story of her relationship with Kelce.

The chorus mentions Cleveland Heights, Kelce’s hometown in Ohio, while also nodding to his podcast, New Heights.

Throughout the evening, Kelce was a doting husband as he held her hand and supported her while getting into and out of their ride.

“He already took me to Cleveland / And showed me The Heights, so hate all you like / This is the love of my life, hey, hey, hey,” she sings.

Alongside Cleveland!, Swift added three more songs to The Life of a Showgirl: Patient Zero, Pink Clouding and Babylon.

Swift opens Cleveland! with a self-deprecating verse that appears to channel the commentary of her harshest critics and online trolls.

However, the billionaire pop star gets the final word in the chorus by turning her attention to her new husband.

In her second verse, Swift added some of her raunchiest lyrics to date.

‘The taste of me is acquired, but it’s his favorite dish,’ she sang.

Swift also suggested that her love wasn’t tuned in to the online criticism that is fodder for her songs.

Swift went on to declare her love for her husband, while perhaps poking fun at her habit of making dramatic announcements to build anticipation for every new music release.

‘You only need to find one person in this entire world / Who doesn’t find you completely insufferable / And I have an important announcement to make / I found mine (That’s right),’ she continued in the bridge.
