Keshia Chanté is expecting her first child.
The singer and former 106 & Park host shared the pregnancy announcement on Instagram Tuesday, Oct. 6, posting photos that highlighted her growing baby bump.
“Thank you God. To my sweet baby, I am sooo in love. I can’t wait to meet you! I am grateful and honored you chose me to be your mommy,” Chanté wrote.
The 38-year-old star also opened up about the memories she hopes to create with her child.
“I’ve spent every day daydreaming about you and all the fun adventures I want to take you on. I’m so excited to make holidays special, create beautiful memories and experience life through your eyes.”
After the announcement, one social media user referred to Chanté as the alleged newest mother of a child with Drake, though the claim has not been confirmed.

Chanté confirmed that the baby’s father is involved, but she has not disclosed his identity.
“Mommy & Daddy are so excited to welcome you into the world. Oh, and we’ve already got you booked & busy. Dada’s got your studio locked and we expect your album to drop summer 2027.”

Her reference to “Daddy” having a studio ready prompted some fans to speculate that Drake could be the father.
“Congratulations to you and Drake,” one commenter wrote. The message had received more than 400 likes within hours of Chanté’s announcement.

The speculation appears to stem from Chanté’s past relationship with the Toronto rapper. The pair dated as teenagers, and Drake publicly acknowledged their history during his All Canadian North Stars concert in Toronto in July 2022.
“This is my first girlfriend I ever had in my life,” he told the audience. “A real legend, someone I love with all of my heart.”

Speaking with ET Canada after the concert, Chanté described Drake’s introduction as “the most meaningful, memorable, sweetest introduction I’ve ever been given in my entire career.” She also called the evening “a complete full circle moment,” explaining that they had dreamed about experiences like it when they were younger.
Although their history has fueled online rumors, Chanté has not named her baby’s father, and there is currently no confirmation that Drake is the child’s dad.
