Jean Smart can now add wedding officiant to her impressive résumé.
The Emmy-winning actress played a special part in the Oct. 10 wedding of her Hacks costar Mark Indelicato and David Watson, presiding over the couple’s ceremony.
Videos shared by fellow Hacks stars Hannah Einbinder and Johnny Sibilly show Smart smiling as she led the nuptials in a champagne-toned silk two-piece outfit.
In a clip posted by Sibilly, Smart asked, “Do you, Mark Anthony Indelicato, take David Joel Watson to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, in sickness, in health, for richer, for poorer, as long as you both shall live?”
Indelicato, 32, confirmed that he did. Smart, 75, then delivered the ceremony’s official pronouncement.
“Then by the power vested in me by American Marriage Ministers,” she said, pausing as guests laughed, “I now pronounce you husband and husband.”
Indelicato, who portrayed Deborah Vance’s assistant Damien throughout the show’s five seasons, and Watson exchanged rings before Smart sent them off with a final declaration: “You may kiss the groom!”
