RHONY’s Erin Lichy Calls Out Daisy, Denies Townhouse Rat Claims

RHONY's Erin Lichy Calls Out Daisy and Denies Having Rats at Her Townhouse as Jessel Shades Her Home as "Old," Plus Erika Slams Daisy's Private Plane Demand

Erin Lichy pushed back against Daisy Toye’s comments about her townhouse following the latest episode of The Real Housewives of New York City.

During the October 27 episode of the RHONY: After Show, Jessel Taank, 46, criticized Erin’s home as “old” and “weird.” At the same time, Erika Hammond, 35, responded to Daisy, 45, who questioned why she and the other Housewives were not flown privately to her private island, Moskito Island. Erin, 39, also clarified a misunderstanding involving rats.

“I don’t have rats,” Erin insisted after Daisy suggested that rodents might be lurking in the townhouse basement.

Daisy remembered Erin telling her, “‘Rats followed us.’”

Erin explained that the comment was never meant to be taken literally. “That was a joke,” she said.

She went on to describe a real pest problem at her former residence. “That’s why I withheld rent because I had a mouse infestation to the point where it was eating through my kitchen cabinets in my beautiful apartment that I spent money renovating,” Erin said. “It was a joke.”

Daisy said she had no way of knowing Erin was joking. “I’m thinking, ‘Oh my god, we’re gonna have a party in the backyard at night, and there’s going to be rats,’” she recalled.

Erin then reminded Daisy that she had made a broader comment about townhouses. “Because you said there are rats in every townhouse,” Erin responded. “I was like, ‘Yes, I guess the rats followed me.’ I had mice in my Tribeca apartment, which is why I left.”

The conversation soon moved from alleged rodents to the townhouse’s interior design.

After Sai de Silva, 45, pointed out that Erin had once been passionate about interior design, Jessel asked, “Is that not the case anymore?”

Jessel described the property as resembling “a very old brownstone” before listing the elements she found unappealing.

“I don’t like old things that look old, if that makes sense,” she said. Jessel also took issue with barred windows, which inspired her Alcatraz comparison, as well as red-looking floors, blue lighting, imposing staircases and banisters, dark rooms, purple couches and unusual artwork. She explained that some of the art might even frighten her if she were alone in the house at night.

Elsewhere on the RHONY: After Show, Erika addressed Daisy’s expectation that she should have arranged private flights for the cast’s trip to the island.

“Why the f*ck would I fly them private? That is the craziest ask ever,” Erika said. Although she usually travels by private jet, she said she saw no reason to do so with the group. “My best friends would never be like, ‘Why are you not flying me?’”

Erika added, “Get your own private plane. You probably can’t. The only time you’ve flown private is with [Martha Stewart] … so check yourself.”

Daisy later offered her explanation for the comment.

“I thought people who have private islands have private planes to get to the private island,” she said. Daisy added that she would have been perfectly happy visiting a beach in Aruba, arguing that the journey to Moskito Island involved “trains, planes, and automobiles.”

Erin agreed that the travel arrangements had been far from comfortable.

“I don’t care so much about the private plane,” Erin said. “If you’re planning a trip, that was a really awful travel experience, and you should make sure that was more seamless.” She noted that the journey took 18 hours, while a direct flight would have lasted approximately three hours and 20 minutes.

As Carole Radziwill, 63, admitted she was “quite amused” by the whole thing, Jessel described Daisy’s comments as “so crazy.”

“Erika invited us last December and, like, everyone flew what they wanted to fly,” she revealed.

Meanwhile, as Sai called out Daisy’s “entitlement,” Hailey Glassman, 39, shaded her “nouveau-riche mindset.”

“Because you have the money, then you should pay for this for us?” she wondered.

The Real Housewives of New York City season 16 airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo.
