Beau Lamarre-Condon has returned to the witness box for the second day of his murder trial.
The former police officer, whom the jury heard prefers to be known simply as Beau Lamarre, chose to give evidence after the prosecution concluded its case on Thursday.
The prosecution presented its case over seven weeks, calling dozens of witnesses.
Lamarre-Condon’s decision to testify was revealed to the jury by the Crown during its closing submissions around midday on Thursday.
On Friday, Lamarre-Condon was taken through his account of events again by his barrister, John Stratton, SC.
Next week, Crown prosecutor Brett Hatfield, SC, will cross-examine the alleged double killer before Justice Natalie Adams.

Wearing a grey suit, white shirt and black tie, Lamarre-Condon sipped water from a paper cup as he answered further questions about his relationship with Jesse Baird.
Lamarre-Condon told Mr Stratton that the last time he saw Baird alive was on November 18.
Mr Stratton asked whether Lamarre-Condon’s relationship with Baird had been exclusive.
“The relationship was essentially we’re doing things that I guess you could say couples were doing, going to dinners, hanging out a lot, spending a lot of time together, and it was an intimate relationship,” he said.
“But no, we were not exclusive. I was still seeing people at various points throughout my time with Jesse, but it was not exclusive.”
