In an exciting development, Netflix is transforming the popular English football podcast, The Rest Is Football, into a TV series. This series will premiere in New York, perfectly timed as Canada, the USA, and Mexico take turns hosting this year’s global football event.

The Rest Is Football is hosted by three legendary figures from England’s football scene, offering viewers a rich mix of expert analysis, intriguing guest appearances, and engaging interviews. The show promises to delve into both the thrilling on-field moments and the drama behind the scenes. Here’s what you need to know about catching The Rest Is Football on Netflix.

Speaking about the new series, Gary Linekar said: “We can’t wait to bring The Rest Is Football to Netflix for the 2026 World Cup.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for the three of us to do what we love — talk football every day — but on a truly global stage.

“Expect all the usual analysis, honesty, and plenty of laughs. Just with a few more cameras pointed at us, all from the Big Apple.”

Episode one will be released on June 10 at 6am British Summer Time (BST), 1am Eastern Time (ET) and 10pm Pacific Time (PT).

The episodes of The Rest Is Football will be airing daily during the tournament, which will be taking place between June 11 to July 19.

Each instalment will air on Netflix at 6am British Summer Time (BST), 1am Eastern Time (ET) and 10pm Pacific Time (PT).

Adding: “There’ll be huge performances, big decisions, pressure moments, and plenty for supporters to debate — exactly what we love talking about.”
