Helen George, known for her role in “Call The Midwife,” has parted ways with her boyfriend, Dann Innes, merely seven months after they decided to cohabit. Helen, now 42, had been romantically involved with Dann, a property marketing agency executive, since March 2025. Earlier this year, Dann joined Helen in her West London home, where she lives with her daughters, Wren Ivy and Lark.
However, it appears that the couple’s journey has come to an end. Reports suggest that Dann was spotted moving out of Helen’s residence earlier this week. A source confirmed to The Sun that the couple “have gone their separate ways,” noting, “They had a whirlwind romance, but their differences became apparent. It has been a difficult time for them both.”
In the wake of the breakup, Helen has taken to social media, offering glimpses into her personal turmoil. Her posts include a quote on her Instagram Story alluding to “responding to disrespect,” hinting at the emotional upheaval she is experiencing.
Among her posts is a poignant image of her daughter walking alone through a field, shared with her 277,000 followers. She captioned it with the words, “When the chaos leaves, the calm resumes.” Another notable post features an online quote, stating, “I will absolutely take responsibility for when I am wrong. But I will never apologize for responding to disrespect.”
The quote continues, “If you lit the match, do not stand in the flames pretending to be the victim.”
Helen and Dan reportedly grew close after splitting from their respective long-term partners, and their romance started after meeting on the dating app Raya. In the past months, they were seen posting loved-up social media posts on Valentine’s Day and on holiday together in Cornwall.
Dan has two children of his own, aged 14 and 12, from a previous marriage, which is believed to have lasted from 2008 to 2016. At the time, Helen had broken up with her partner, Jack Aston, with whom she shares two daughters.
Helen spoke to BBC Radio 4 about juggling motherhood with her stage career. She admitted: “I would like to also shout out to the father of my daughters, Jack. We split the children 50/50; he is an incredible and reliable father who also juggles as much as I. It is a juggle, and I make mistakes. I have to forgive myself for that because I am a good mother.”
She takes her daughters to the dressing room after school so they “grow up understanding how important it is for women to be financially independent”.
