Delilah Fishburne, daughter of renowned actors Laurence Fishburne and Gina Torres, has blossomed into a remarkable young woman.
Recently, the teenager marked her 19th birthday, prompting her mother, Gina Torres, to celebrate the occasion by posting a rare photograph of the two along with a heartfelt tribute to her cherished daughter.
“Nineteen years ago today, I cradled my entire world in my arms and gazed into a new universe through a pair of gentle brown eyes. Nothing has been quite the same since,” Torres expressed emotionally on Instagram.
The ‘Suits’ star also took a moment to reflect on the pride she feels for the exceptional young woman Delilah is becoming.
“I am filled with joy and pride each time I witness the incredible person you are and continue to become. You embody magic, mayhem, love, kindness, wit, and wisdom. It is an honor to be your mother,” Torres continued fondly, adding a playful note, “Now, if we could just tackle that room of yours and get it organized…”
So, who is Laurence Fishburne and Gina Torres’ daughter? Here’s what we know about Delilah Fishburne.
She is Fishburne and Torres’ only child together
Delilah was born on June 16, 2007, and is the only child Fishburne and Torres share.
The former couple married in 2002 and separated in 2016 after 14 years of marriage. When Torres confirmed their separation the following year, she made it clear that they remained committed to raising their daughter together.
She has grown up largely outside of the spotlight
With two accomplished actors for parents, Delilah has been around Hollywood her entire life, but much of her upbringing has remained private.
Over the years, she has occasionally accompanied her parents to public events. In 2022, she joined her dad at the Tony Awards and attended the Tribeca Festival premiere of The Cave of Adullam with him.
In 2024, Delilah accompanied her mom to the Emmy Awards.

Delilah is interested in theater
Delilah may eventually follow her parents into the entertainment industry.
During a 2023 appearance on The View, Fishburne spoke about his youngest daughter’s interest in the arts.
“I may have one of my children who may actually be in the business,” he said.
Fishburne also revealed that he had been getting Delilah’s opinion on his Disney Channel series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur while the animated show was being developed.

“And throughout the process, I would bring home little things like a 30-second clip of something to show her character design or a little clip of music … and she was like, ‘Yep!’” he said.
The actor went on to share that Delilah had spent time with him in New York while he was appearing on Broadway in American Buffalo and later attended the Tony Awards with him.
“She was [in New York] with me while I was doing [the 2022 Broadway revival of] American Buffalo, and I took her to the Tony’s, and after that experience, she’s involved in theater at her school and is singing in gospel choir,” he said.
For now, Delilah has not publicly announced plans to pursue acting professionally.
She doesn’t really watch her mom on TV
Delilah may appreciate her mother’s career, but that doesn’t mean she’s sitting at home binge-watching Suits.
While attending the 2024 Emmy Awards with Torres, Delilah opened up to PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly during their Red Carpet Live show about whether she watches her mom’s work.
“To be honest, as much I do love my mom, I don’t really watch her shows,” Delilah said. “Just because I can’t really see anyone else but mom.”
She quickly made it clear that it wasn’t a reflection of what she thinks of Torres’ talent.
“Not saying you’re not talented, because I mean, you’re here,” she joked.
Delilah then gave her mom the ultimate compliment.
“I think honestly, I wouldn’t really have to watch a show with my mom in it to know that my mom’s a boss.”
She has two older half-siblings
Delilah is the youngest of Fishburne’s three children.
The actor also has two older children, Langston and Montana Fishburne, from his first marriage to Hajna O. Moss.
While her older brother has pursued acting, Delilah has yet to reveal what career path she plans to take. At 19, she continues to keep much of her life private.
Whether she ultimately follows her parents into Hollywood remains to be seen.
