ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WJHL) – On Sunday, the historic Bonnie Kate Theater became a hub of excitement as it welcomed hundreds of devoted fans of the iconic TV show ‘The Munsters.’ The occasion was marked by the presence of a special guest that day, drawing fans eager to relive a slice of television history.
Actor Butch Patrick, who famously portrayed Eddie Munster, the charmingly wolf-like offspring of Herman and Lily Munster, graced the event with his presence. Attendees had the rare opportunity to meet Patrick, who was there to sign autographs and engage with fans, sharing anecdotes and memories from his time on the beloved show.
The highlight of the day was a special screening of the 1966 feature film ‘Munster, Go Home!’ which included a meet-and-greet session with Patrick. Fans were also treated to a nostalgic display of the iconic Drag-U-La car, a staple of ‘The Munsters,’ which was proudly parked outside the theater, adding to the event’s allure.
In a conversation with News Channel 11, Patrick expressed his gratitude for the enduring popularity of the show, which has captivated audiences for decades. “I was lucky enough to be on a very unique show of 60-some odd years ago that’s still very popular, very lucky, very blessed to do that,” he remarked. “And it was always fun to me. It’s always a positive thing, very, very, very few times do I ever have a bad day being Eddie Munster.”
