The duo departed from an inn in Hope Town, embarking on an 8-foot dinghy around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, intending to reach Elbow Cay, located approximately 2.5 miles away.

Brian Hooker informed authorities that his wife accidentally fell overboard with the keys, causing the boat to power down, which left him no choice but to paddle in pursuit.
