SAVANNAH, Ga. — Following the passage of a cold front over the weekend, Monday offered a comfortably warm and dry climate. As the week progresses, temperatures are expected to rise, with rain anticipated by the weekend as the next weather system approaches.

Tuesday morning will greet residents with cooler temperatures, ranging from the upper 40s to the lower 50s. However, the sunshine will help push afternoon temperatures up to between the upper 70s and lower 80s.
The combination of low humidity and a strong afternoon breeze is likely to increase the risk of wildfires, particularly in the southern areas of the viewing region.

With relative humidity dropping below 20% and wind gusts potentially reaching up to 20 mph, it’s advisable to refrain from any burning activities, especially in areas where burn bans are in effect. Under these conditions, fires can ignite and spread with alarming speed.

As Wednesday approaches, the weather will turn warmer and slightly more humid. High temperatures are expected to remain in the upper 80s to lower 90s for the rest of the week.
The weekend will remain very warm, even as rain chances start to make their way back into the region. A few isolated showers are possible on Saturday with a higher chance possible for Sunday and Monday.
