Left-wing political commentator Hasan Piker and his uncle, Cenk Uygur, were recently denied entry into the United Kingdom. They were scheduled to participate in events at SXSW London and the Oxford Union, but the British Home Office revoked their travel authorizations. The decision was based on concerns that their presence would not be “conducive to the public good.” Piker alleges that his visa was canceled “at the behest of Israel.”
In a separate development, Michigan’s Democratic Senate candidate, Mallory McMorrow, criticized her party for allowing antisemitism to persist. She revealed that a slur was directed at her husband during a Democratic National Convention event, underscoring the ongoing challenges the party faces in addressing such issues.
