Dana White Unleashes Fiery Critique on FOX’s World Cup Coverage

0

UFC President Dana White has unleashed a blistering critique of Fox’s World Cup final broadcast, using social media to voice his unfiltered frustration mere hours after the conclusion of the event.

On Sunday afternoon, Spain clinched a narrow 1-0 victory over Argentina, led by superstar Lionel Messi, with a decisive 106th-minute goal from Ferran Torres at MetLife Stadium.

Many viewers found the match itself to lack excitement, and the surrounding spectacle—which included an elaborate closing ceremony and a novel halftime show—was met with unfavorable reviews from the home audience.

Disillusioned fans took to social media to vent their disapproval of the broadcast, and Dana White joined the chorus, sharing his critical insights online.

Taking to his Instagram Story in the wake of Sunday’s final, he said: ‘You know what’s crazy, I actually teed up the guys who were doing the production for the World Cup for you guys to hit a grand slam home run.

“Despite my team insisting that you were the worst, I defended us by saying, ‘No, we’re worse. They didn’t mess it up as badly as we did,'” White remarked. “But today, you triple down on that stance, basically saying, ‘Forget about Dana White. Our production team remains the worst in history when it comes to showcasing celebrities in sports.'”

UFC chief Dana White ripped into Fox’s production of the World Cup final on Sunday

‘I bow down. Congratulations to the producers of the World Cup. You guys f***ed up that flyover too. I’m not going to nit-pick, I’m just giving you credit where credit is due. You guys absolutely f***ing suck. We are the second worst.’

One notable blunder was when Fox commentators mistakenly identified Matt Damon as Brad Pitt when cameras panned to a VIP suite at MetLife Stadium.

Though White did not explicitly call out Fox in his rant, fans pieced together the dig and linked it back to the UFC’s split from the broadcaster back in 2018.

White’s comments came one week after he ripped into the UFC’s production at UFC 329 – following on-screen mix-up when showcasing the celebrities in attendance.

Last Saturday, during the live broadcast of the event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, the camera panned to boxing star Shakur Stevenson cageside.

However, instead of correctly identifying the four-division world champion, the graphic labeled him as Jalen Williams, a forward for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Speaking at the press conference after the event, he said: ‘I just paid Shakur Stevenson a s***load of money, and for some reason, we can’t figure this celebrity s*** out. They put him up as an ‘OKC’ NBA player. Are you f***ing kidding me?

‘We are the absolute worst to ever do the celebrity thing,’ White added at the time.

‘I just had this debate with my guys while I was screaming at everybody back there, and they said, ‘No, soccer’s worse. Soccer shows the people, and they don’t put up any graphics.’

While fellow critics of Fox’s production were few and far between on Sunday, World Cup fans did brand FIFA’s controversial first-ever World Cup halftime show starring Madonna and Justin Bieber as a ‘disaster’.

The futuristic segment began with Madonna, 67, singing her 2000 hit Music, accompanied by giddy Brazilian World Cup legends Ronaldo Nazario and Ronaldinho.

The toned music legend was dressed head-to-toe in Saint Laurent, wowing in a pink satin teddy jacket and corset, mini shorts and lace-up boots, paired with stockings as she embraced the soccer icons, before they drove her out into the stadium.

The unlikely trio then posed up on the grass and smiled at the crowds.

Bieber, 32, made a starkly different impact on the crowd as he stepped out with nothing but a guitar to sing a World Cup themed version of his song, Everything Hallelujah.

The singer was bizarrely subbed onto the pitch by Jason Sudeikis, playing his manager alter-ego Ted Lasso.

Troy Jackson Surges as Front-Runner in Maine’s Senate Race to Succeed Platner

0

Troy Jackson, who previously served as a state legislator, is now poised as a leading contender to become the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate race in Maine. This development comes after a number of his rivals exited the competition over the weekend, potentially setting the stage for him to succeed Graham Platner.

The dynamics of the political race underwent a swift alteration as party meetings took place statewide. These gatherings were instrumental in selecting delegates for an upcoming nominating convention on July 25, where the Democratic opponent for Republican U.S. Senator Susan Collins will be finalized for the November election.

Throughout the weekend, Jackson’s campaign proudly announced that it had secured a commitment from hundreds of delegates who pledged their support for him at the convention. Notably, this included all of the delegates they aimed for in Maine’s largest county, Cumberland.

Jackson’s burgeoning influence became apparent as several contenders bowed out of the race.

Shenna Bellows, Maine’s Secretary of State, stepped aside on Sunday morning, stressing the importance of Democrats rallying together without delay to challenge Collins effectively.

Nirav Shah, former director of Maine’s Center for Disease Control and Prevention, dropped out and endorsed Jackson in the early evening. He was quickly followed by Dan Kleban, the co-founder of Maine Beer Company, and Jordan Wood, both of whom also endorsed Jackson.

With all of his most formidable opponents out, Jackson looked tough to beat at next weekend’s convention.

The Democrats have been scrambling to pick a new candidate after Platner, who won the Democratic primary, then withdrew from the race this month. Platner had electrified some progressives, but his campaign collapsed after several women complained about his behavior, including one former girlfriend who accused him of sexual assault. Platner denied the allegation.

Our Revolution, a progressive organization founded by Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont that had originally backed Platner, threw its support behind Jackson.

Jackson, 58, was a logger before he became a politician. He was elected to the state legislature in 2002 and ultimately became the president of Maine’s senate. He left office in 2024 due to term limits.

Jackson unsuccessfully ran to be the Democratic nominee for governor earlier this year with Platner’s backing, but wasn’t successful.

Historic Arrival: VP JD and Usha Vance Celebrate Birth of First VP’s Child in 150 Years

0

Vice President JD Vance and his wife, Usha, celebrated the arrival of their fourth child on Sunday.

WASHINGTON — It was a historic day as Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance joyfully revealed the birth of their fourth child. This marks the first time in over a century and a half that a sitting vice president has welcomed a newborn while in office.

The newest addition, Alec Neel Vance, was born on Sunday, joining siblings Ewan, aged 9; Vivek, 6; and Mirabel, 4, in the bustling Vance household.

Sharing their happiness, Vance took to social media, releasing a statement that both he and Usha had signed.

“We are thrilled to share that our son, Alec Neel Vance, arrived this morning. Usha and Alec are doing wonderfully, and our children couldn’t wait to welcome their little brother,” the statement happily read.

They thanked doctors and staff at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and with the White House medical team.

The Republican vice president’s growing family is in keeping with his passionate advocacy for Americans to have more children. He has also suggested that the 2025 killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was his friend, factored into the decision to have another child.

Vance, a former U.S. Marine, repeatedly expressed alarm about declining birth rates in America as he launched his political career in 2021 with a bid for a U.S. Senate seat from Ohio. As vice president, he said in Washington at the 2025 March for Life anti-abortion rally, “I want more babies in the United States of America.”

The vice president, who’s 41, has been accompanied on overseas trips by Usha Vance, 40, and their children, with the kids often pajama-clad as they board Air Force Two for the overnight flights.

Usha Vance, the daughter of immigrants from India, had already been the subject of some public fascination because of her husband. Her pregnancy, which was announced in January, amplified that spotlight since it is rare for occupants of the United States’ highest public offices to add to their families while serving.

The last time a sitting vice president became a new father was in the 1800s.

Schuyler Colfax and his second wife, Ellen Wade, had a son, Schuyler Colfax III, in 1870 when Colfax was serving as vice president, according to the White House Historical Association. Decades before that, John C. Calhoun and his wife, Floride Bonneau, had a son, William, in 1829 when Calhoun was vice president, the association said.

The newest addition to Vance’s family was part of a recent mini baby boom among top members of President Donald Trump’s administration. White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller’s wife, Katie Miller, recently gave birth to the couple’s fourth child, and White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt had her second child with her husband, Nicholas Riccio, in May.

Usha Vance recently came under scrutiny after The New York Times’ fashion critic called attention to the stomach-hugging, coral maternity dress she wore for a Father’s Day episode of “Storytime with the Second Lady,” a video podcast she launched during the pregnancy.

The Times wrote that the attention that Vance, Miller and Leavitt had put on their pregnancies offered “an image of idealized womanhood that gives literal shape to the pronatalist movement,” which encourages couples to have as many children as possible to counter declining birth rates.

The second lady responded on social media, writing, “Now that we know the political significance of my $8.75 coral maternity dress from Old Navy, can’t wait to hear what the New York Times has to say about my elastic-waistband pants and compression socks! In the meantime, enjoy my pregnancy fashion (or lack thereof) and a good story with your kids on Storytime with the Second Lady.” She later shared the receipt for the dress, and her husband applauded her frugality.

“She bought a $50 dress for $8.75. America: meet your next director of the federal budget!” the vice president wrote on social media.

JD Vance has said it was Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, telling them that she wished she’d had more than two children with her husband before he was assassinated last September in Utah that led him and the second lady to decide to grow their family. Usha Vance, a former attorney who once clerked for Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, concurred — in part.

“It was very powerful, what (Erika) said about her own family, and certainly very moving to both of us. I think I had already started to open my mind to the possibility,” Usha Vance said during a joint interview with her husband for “CBS Sunday Morning” that aired in June. “I wouldn’t say that this was, for me in any way, the decisive factor. But it came in the middle of a conversation that we were already having.”

F-16 Fighter Jets Safeguard Skies: Intercept Multiple Aircraft Breaching New Jersey Airspace Restrictions

0

On Sunday, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) revealed that its fleet of F-16s had to step in to intercept several aircraft infringing on temporary flight restrictions above New Jersey’s airspace.

According to NORAD, their F-16 fighter jets intervened as multiple general aviation planes breached restricted airspace around New Jersey locales, specifically over Bedminster and East Rutherford.

On Sunday, over a dozen general aviation crafts were reported to have penetrated restricted zones, of which NORAD had to intercept three directly.

During two of these interceptions, NORAD jets deployed flares to catch the errant pilots’ attention, creating displays likely visible from the ground.

NORAD said the flares were deployed “with the highest regard for safety, burn out quickly and completely, and pose no danger to people on the ground.”

All general aviation aircraft were safely escorted out of the area by NORAD aircraft, NORAD said.

“Should NORAD aircraft intercept a general aviation aircraft, the pilot should immediately come up on frequency 121.5 or 243.0 and turn around to reverse course until receiving additional instructions on one of those frequencies,” NORAD said.

NORAD urged pilots to check temporary flight restrictions before entering an airspace.

“Pilots: check your Notice to Airmen (NOTAMS) and FAA Temporary Flight Restrictions,” NORAD said.

Liberty Faces Turmoil After Season’s Most Devastating Loss: Who’s Responsible?

0

INDIANAPOLIS — Breanna Stewart emerged with a heavy heart Saturday night, stepping into the press room more than 40 minutes after the Liberty endured what many are calling their most disappointing defeat of the season.

She appeared weary—not just from logging 32 minutes on the court during the team’s fourth straight loss, but weary of reiterating the squad’s persistent challenges.

Despite her evident exhaustion and potential frustration, Stewart’s responses were marked by composure and insight.

In every sense, she exemplifies professionalism.

Her words were a blend of thoughtfulness, introspection, and, when necessary, a touch of sternness.

She was the first to say she could’ve been better after leading the team with 26 points and eight rebounds.

“I’m looking at myself, you know what I mean? There’s a lot that I didn’t do well today between the turnovers or the missed free throws or things like that,” Stewart said following the 108-88 loss. “So in order for us to be our best, I need to be better.”

Stewart accepted responsibility.

But she isn’t the only one who needs to improve.

Sabrina Ionescu finally shook off the rust and has been better of late.

But she took only two shot attempts in the entire second half and nine total Saturday.

She needs to be even more aggressive.

She’s averaging her fewest attempts from downtown since her sophomore season and a career-low in rebounds.

Jonquel Jones, a six-time All-Star this season, is attempting a career-high 4.7 attempts from 3 per game but her 5.1 field-goal attempts per game inside the arc are her fewest since her Sixth Player of the Year campaign in 2018.

Also, at times, she lets her emotions impact her focus when the whistle or lack thereof gets to her.

Marine Johannes started Saturday red-hot, shooting 4-for-5 from deep in the first quarter.

But she needs to reel in her flair and make simple passes rather than the flashy ones.

She gets into the occasional foul trouble, too.

Pauline Astier has been solid.

But she doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt from officials as a rookie.

She needs to make smarter decisions on defense.

The Liberty’s bench was touted as the deepest in the league.

Yet it has been outscored by opponents’ reserves 128-67 this month.

It should be able to provide more of a lift when the starters rest.

Coach Chris DeMarco knew the pressure that would be on his shoulders in Year 1.

There were bound to be natural growing pains with his new staff and new system.

But the Liberty’s rotation remains unsettled.

He played the two developmental players over Betnijah Laney-Hamilton and Rebekah Gardner on Saturday when the team desperately needed a defensive spark.

He explained that he’s still experimenting, which isn’t unheard of at this stage.

But the team’s overall performance on both ends of the floor has dropped off after an impressive eight-game winning streak.

Perhaps the Liberty have overcommitted to their zone defense.

General manager Jonathan Kolb is not absolved from criticism either.

He made the decision to fire Sandy Brondello, the Liberty’s winningest head coach only a year after she delivered the franchise’s first title.

He led the coaching search that brought DeMarco to New York.

Kolb also built this roster, and the booming on-paper potential hasn’t translated to the court.

Injuries have been a factor, though the team’s recent downturn has shown deficiencies within the team’s depth as the Aug. 2 trade deadline nears.

“It’s a team game, and it’s a team effort,” DeMarco said. “And everybody, including myself, need to look at themselves and figure out how we’re going to improve. And when we do that, and we’re connected and we’re playing together, the wins will follow.”

Utah Floods Tragically Claim Fire Captain and Four Family Members

0

A tragic flash flood in southern Utah has claimed the lives of a fire captain, his wife, and their three sons. The family was caught in the sudden deluge while hiking through the canyons.

Spencer Long, a Provo Fire Captain, was exploring the picturesque Sunglow campground near Bicknell with his wife Katrina and their sons, Reid, Thayne, and Gage. What began as a scenic adventure turned deadly when unexpected heavy rains triggered a flood, as reported by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

The ordeal came to light when deputies were called to the scene after the body of a young man was discovered in the flood wash that evening.

The search continued through Friday and Saturday, eventually leading to the recovery of the remaining family members’ bodies.

In the wake of this heart-wrenching event, the Provo Firefighters Union shared on Instagram that their wildland rapid extraction module team had been redirected from battling the Babylon wildfire in Blanding to aid in the search and recovery efforts for their colleague and his family.

The Provo Fire and Rescue later confirmed Captain Long and his family had died.

‘We are absolutely devastated by the death of Capt. Spencer Long and his family,’ the agency posted on Facebook Saturday. ‘Our thoughts are with his family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time.’

Community members responded to the post with their memories of the family.

‘I remember in high school when I was an intern with Provo Fire, we stopped to grab some food and my debit card was declining,’ Tanner Atwater wrote.

‘Spencer was with us working the box that day, and he stepped in and bought my lunch. It was only like $7 maybe $10 at most, so not a lot of money or anything big, I insisted on paying him back but he was adamant for me not to worry about it, it was on the house,’ he recounted. ‘I’ll always cherish that memory.’

Brad Adams also wrote that ‘words cannot describe the great sadness this brings to all that knew Spencer, his wife and children.

‘He was a fine young man and I loved working with him at Provo,’ Adams commented. ‘May God bless his family as they go through this hard time.’

Tributes also poured in for Katrina, a former councilmember in Mona City who co-founded Summit Medical Spa.

‘Katrina dedicated countless hours of service to our community, and her kindness, leadership and commitment made a lasting impact on so many lives,’ city officials said in a statement. ‘We will forever be grateful for all that Katrina and her family have done to support and strengthen our community.’

‘Our thoughts, prayers and heartfelt condolences are with her family, especially her daughter Lydia, and all who knew and loved them during this difficult time,’ the city officials continued, adding: ‘Katrina’s legacy of service and compassion will not be forgotten.’

Summit Medical Spa also released a statement, saying ‘there are simply no words to express the depth of this loss.

The spa further asked the community to step up to help support the couple’s surviving daughter, Lydia, who was not with them on the hike.

‘In an instant, their daughter Lydia lost the people she loved most and is now facing an unimaginable future without them,’ an online fundraiser to help support her reads.

‘Spencer and Katrina were loving, devoted parents whose greatest joy was their family. They touched the lives of so many with their kindness, generosity and unwavering love.

‘Today, we have the opportunity to honor them by surrounding Lydia with the same love and support they so freely gave to others.

‘No amount of money can take away Lydia’s pain or replace the family she has lost,’ the fundraiser notes. ‘But together, we can help ease some of the burdens she now cares and remind her that she is not alone.

‘Every donation, no matter the amount, is a meaningful expression of love and support.’

As of Sunday night, the community had raised nearly $160,000 to help Lydia.

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes Match Their Style at World Cup Final

Kansas City’s dynamic duo, Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany, made a stylish statement with their coordinated outfits during the 2026 World Cup Final, capturing the attention of fans worldwide.

The couple attended the thrilling championship match on Sunday, July 19, in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Patrick, 30, embraced sporty elegance with a blue long-sleeve shirt adorned with a white collar and three distinctive white stripes. As spectators cheered, Spain triumphed over previous champions Argentina, 1-0, edging the win in extra time.

Patrick’s ensemble was perfectly complemented by a matching blue baseball cap and stylish sunglasses. By his side, Brittany, who is also 30, radiated similar vibes in a crisp white short-sleeve shirt featuring three blue stripes. Her chic look was enhanced by a sleek updo, with delicate strands tastefully framing her face.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Brittany chronicled their exciting day by sharing a snapshot of the pair beaming in a posh private box. Additionally, she provided glimpses from the glitzy halftime show that boasted performances by global icons Madonna, Justin Bieber, Shakira, and others.

Not to be outdone, Brittany Mahomes turned heads once more with her fashion-forward ensemble at a recent Kansas City Chiefs game. Sporting a fleece-lined white jacket on Sunday, December 14, she shared a sweet pre-game moment with Patrick on the field. Her look was polished off with aviator sunglasses, cozy fleece Chanel earmuffs, and striking red leather accents.

Earlier this month, Patrick and Brittany had a date night at Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s wedding to Taylor Swift. The pair also opted to color-coordinate for the special occasion in New York City, with Patrick wearing a navy suit with a bowtie as Brittany rocked an ice blue gown.

Patrick and Brittany have been married since 2022 and share daughters Sterling, 5, and Golden, 18 months, and son Bronze, 3. Last month, Brittany got candid about how being a mom of three has shaped her outlook on life.

“Being a mom changed so many things in my life and changed how I looked at so many things,” Brittany told Yahoo Entertainment in June. “It really reshaped and redefined a lot of things in my life.”

She continued, “It’s made me more intentional, more purposeful and, honestly, more motivated to keep going and keep showing my kids that there are no boundaries in front of you. You can achieve anything. You can be a part of anything that you want to. You need to dream big and understand that you have to work hard and do the hard things to do the fun things.”

90 Day Fiancé Shock: Mido’s Stunning Revelation Leaves Debby Stunned and Speechless

In a dramatic turn on the latest episode of “90 Day Fiancé,” it seems Mido has decided to step back from marrying Debby.

Throughout the season, tensions have run high between 41-year-old Mido and 55-year-old Debby. Their relationship has been a whirlwind of intense arguments ever since Mido relocated from Egypt to New Orleans, Louisiana. However, it’s becoming increasingly clear that Mido’s sights might be set more on achieving Hollywood stardom than on tying the knot with Debby.

The recent episode highlights Mido’s aspirations as he approaches a Hollywood agent named Jason. Eagerly, Mido expresses his desire to follow in the footsteps of legendary actors like Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, Al Pacino, and Brad Pitt. While Jason recognizes Mido’s charm and good looks, he ultimately decides not to take him on as a client.

Jason advises Mido, saying, “I suggest you focus on improving your craft through classes and working on your English skills; maybe then, we could consider a collaboration down the road.”

Despite the setback, Mido remains undeterred, confidently asserting to the cameras that he knows his acting talent merits success.

After Mido talks to Debby about his conversation with Jason, telling her that he needs to take more classes, Debby says they need to put that on hold because they have to make sure he’s “going to stay.” Debby notes to cameras that all Mido ever wants to talk about is his acting career, and not about their relationship.

“We only have a month left until his visa expires,” she points out. “Not once has he said anything about getting married.”

“That really does not sit well with me,” she adds. “If Mido doesn’t start showing me that he’s 100 percent, then we could forget about acting classes. He’s going to go back to Egypt.”

Later, Debby surprises Mido with a trip to a chapel, where they could potentially get married. When she mentions to the owner, Ranna, that she wants to get married in three weeks, Mido visibly gets more uncomfortable.

“Debby put more pressure on me,” he tells cameras. “It’s like she’s pushing me and I don’t like this way at all.”

After Ranna steps out to give the couple privacy, Mido drops a bombshell — he tells Debby it “is a lot” and that he needs to “return back home.”

A shocked Debby asks him if he’s kidding, to which he just shrugs his shoulders. He then tells her, “I can’t find myself here.”

Debby runs out of the chapel, extremely distraught. She dramatically shuts the door on a cameraman, telling them “No,” before storming out and having a complete breakdown.

Debby loudly sheds tears, and appears to be having a panic attack.

“Oh my God,” she says as she sobs, dropping to the floor.

“90 Day Fiancé” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC.

MEMORISE: For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper. – Psalm 72:12 (KJV)

READ: Mark 10:46-52 (KJV)

46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.

47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.

48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.

49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Isaiah 20-24

Open Heaven 20 July 2026 MESSAGE

God does not want anyone to be under satan’s yoke. This is why Jesus said, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). God is more than able to break the enemy’s yoke over anyone (Isaiah 10:27), but such a person must first admit that he or she needs to be delivered.

Years ago, a man brought his wife to me and said, “Daddy, help me. My wife is a witch.” I asked the woman if it was true, and she denied it. I then told her that if she was indeed a witch, as her husband claimed, we could pray with her, and she would be delivered. However, she insisted that she wasn’t a witch because she wasn’t willing to be delivered. I then prayed, “If you’re not a witch, you will continue to prosper; however, if you are, I bind whatever demon is operating in you.” Three months later, she was brought back to me with her body so swollen, as she had doubled in size! Apparently, the demon that I bound inside her and had been feeding on her and defecating in her.

The first step for someone who is under the devil’s yoke to become free is for the fellow to admit that there is a burden that he or she needs to be freed from. Until the fellow makes such an admission, he or she cannot be free. Likewise, if the person is okay with where he or she is and is satisfied with sickness, loneliness, barrenness, sorrow, or pain, he or she will remain under the burden of satan.

Sometime ago, a man was coughing badly, and he was brought to me for prayers. In the past, I would have gone ahead and prayed for him without asking questions, but from experience, I had learnt to ask questions. Therefore, I asked him, “Sir, how can I help you?” Even though it was clear that he was sick, I knew that I needed to ask him what he really wanted, just as Jesus asked Bartimaeus what he wanted in today’s Bible reading. To my surprise, the man said, “I want you to pray that the cough leaves slowly.”

Beloved, are you under satan’s yoke in any area of your life? Admit that you need God’s help and cry to Him to break it off immediately and completely. He will come to your aid speedily and deliver you, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Not to us, but unto Him the praise shall be,
For Salvation and for blood bought victory.

3 Unto him that overcometh shall be given,
Here to eat of hidden manna sent from
heav’n,
Over yonder he the victors palm shall bear,
And a robe of white, and golden crown shall
wear.

DCLM Daily Manna 20 July 2026 — Transforming Grace

DCLM Daily Manna 20 July 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Transforming Grace

TOPIC: Transforming Grace (DCLM Daily Manna 20 July 2026)

KEY VERSE: For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called – 1 Corinthians 1:26

TEXT: 1 Corinthians 1:26-31 (KJV)

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.

30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

In his book Understanding Church Growth, The Christian writer, Donald McGavran, used the phrase “redemption lift” to describe the transformative power of the gospel on people’s lives, especially their socioeconomic condition. A more recent work by Rodney Stark, titled, America’s Blessings, relying on sociological data, concluded that compared to less religious and nonreligious individuals, people of faith are better off. He believes that a person renewed by the gospel increasingly acts in a self-controlled and selfless manner, engages in less criminal behaviour and experiences higher marital happiness and lower divorce rates, while producing more and better-behaved children.

In today’s Bible passage, Apostle Paul believes that the gospel of Christ has positively transformed the lives of the Corinthian Christians. This is because God did not consider the smallness or stature of the Corinthian believers before saving them from the power of sin. Paul reminds the Corinthians of their humble beginning in the journey of faith and how God’s transforming grace turned their lives around. God can make giants of anyone no matter his or her poor beginning.

Paul believes that God usually does not apply worldly methods to spiritual things. “God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise” (1 Corinthians 1:27). The Bible is full of stories of people like the shepherd boy, David, who was brought from obscurity to the throne. Who would have imagined that a man like Zacchaeus would voluntarily surrender his loot to repair the financial damage done to many families? God transforms sinners to saints effortlessly so that no one will claim any credit for the changes in their lives.

The Christian life is a new life where old things do not dictate our progress any more. This is a new life where redemption transforms us from weaklings to giants. The blessedness of knowing Jesus as Lord and Saviour transcends every limitation there might be in our lives, making us into spiritual giants who can effortlessly, gratefully sing, “Amazing Grace”!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The amazing thing about grace is that it admits and transforms the weak, the wordly and the wicked.
