Bunnie Xo Removes Podcast Episode Detailing Split from Jelly Roll: Here’s Why

Bunnie Xo is reconsidering her decision to share the intimate details of her marriage breakup publicly.

In the episode of her podcast “Dumb Blonde” that aired on Friday, July 10, Bunnie, 46, detailed the reasons behind her decision to remove a previous episode. During that episode, she had spoken openly about the end of her 10-year marriage with Jelly Roll, 41.

“I decided to remove it because I realized I didn’t want one of the most challenging times of my life to be a lasting headline,” she revealed during the recent podcast discussion.

She added, “I don’t want to dwell in that space. However, I do believe people deserve the opportunity to heal, transform, and move on.”

Bunnie Xo Slams 'Completely False' Jelly Roll Split Rumors, Jokes About Leaving '10-Year' Prison Bid

Addressing the rumors surrounding her divorce from Jelly Roll, Bunnie Xo aimed to clarify the situation. “There’s a narrative online suggesting that I was embarrassing Jelly, which supposedly led to the divorce. People have said, ‘She’s detrimental to his public image,’” Bunnie, 46, explained in the Friday, June 26, episode of “Dumb Blonde.” […]

Bunnie admitted she was worried about the split being the main thing she is known for.

“But also, if I’m being real, I don’t want the divorce to become my entire personality. I don’t want to be the poster child for divorce,” she said.

While Bunnie has no intentions of keeping the podcast online in perpetuity, she has no regrets about sharing it in the first place.

“That episode served a purpose for me at that time, and it was real, it was honest, and it came from exactly where I was emotionally in that moment. But I’m not in that same place anymore,” she admitted.

Bunnie added that she thought people weren’t seeing the full picture of how she navigated her relationship breakdown “behind the scenes,” leading them to make inaccurate assumptions.

“I think that that’s where we need to pause and just kind of focus on the fact that people are like, ‘Oh, well, she moved on so fast.’ And it’s like, hold up. I’ve been mourning the loss of my marriage for at least a year. I had visions of the news breaking, of it happening,” Bunnie said.

She explained that there were moments that she “was on the floor screaming, crying.”  Bunnie added that there were times that she “couldn’t even stand up because I was so f**ing devastated.”

While Bunnie had to deal with her personal life making headlines and strangers weighing in on her situation, the episode was lucrative. It became one of her most viewed episodes, earning her $100,000 in the process.

“But I don’t care about the money. If I cared about the money, I would’ve left it up and let it get another f***ing 100 grand,” she insisted.

Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo Divorce Docs

Jelly Roll is sharing his side of the story after filing for divorce from wife Bunnie Xo. News broke on Monday, June 15, that Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley DeFord) filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo (real name Alisa Andrea Carter) after nearly 10 years of marriage. The pair do not share any children. […]

In the podcast episode about the split, which dropped on June 18, Bunnie opened up about why they separated as well as shooting down speculation the marriage ended due to infidelity.

“On Mother’s Day, we had a little bit of an argument, which I don’t think the details are necessary,” she explained. “And, in that argument, I was so fed up and so tired that I just looked at him and said, ‘Well, then file the f***ing divorce papers.’”

After the podcast was released, Jelly Roll broke his silence on the break-up by publicly addressing the audience on stage at the Saratoga Springs, NY, leg of his tour.

“Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends. We just got off the phone earlier today,” he said. “Nobody cheated on nobody. She just did a whole podcast about it. You can go watch it. Every word of it is the truth.”

Jelly Roll quietly filed for divorce from Bunnie in Tennessee on May 18, Us Weekly confirmed on June 15.

Shohei Ohtani Hits Home Run Despite Knee Injury in Dodgers’ Defeat

0

The night’s opening swing was a spectacle that eclipsed the eventual outcome.

Despite facing issues with his knee, Shohei Ohtani appeared to be in fine form.

Ohtani was expected to pitch in the Dodgers’ 9-3 defeat at the hands of the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday. Unfortunately, he was scratched from his pitching duties due to “continued irritation in his left knee,” as stated by the team.

Yet, this setback didn’t prevent the multi-talented star from playing as the team’s designated hitter. Just three pitches into his initial at-bat, Ohtani launched a leadoff home run against All-Star left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez, offering both power and peace of mind with his performance.

The concerns about Ohtani’s knee should not be underestimated, however, as they are indeed significant.

After plaguing him for a month, he is set to have it drained on Sunday and will likely get a pain-relieving injection after that.

The treatment plan will keep him from attending the All-Star Game. It also forced the Dodgers into a bullpen game on Friday that came with disappointing results.

Still, manager Dave Roberts insisted Ohtani’s status was no big concern either.

If this were October, Roberts said, Ohtani would’ve been pitching.

And even for the middle of July, he felt good enough to keep taking at-bats.

The leadoff homer only underscored such optimism, with Ohtani somehow getting to a fastball off the inside corner and launching it to the opposite field for a 381-foot drive to left.

It was Ohtani’s 21st home run of the season, his third in the last four games, and his 10th since his knee first began giving him problems back on June 10.

Even in a losing effort, it was a sigh of supreme relief.

What it means

The Dodgers did miss Ohtani’s arm on Friday, dropping the opening game of this first-half-finale series thanks to choppy performances from most of their relief staff.

It started with opener Kyle Hurt, who gave up two runs in the first on three singles and a walk. The Dbacks mounted three more two-run rallies in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, as well, in which Will Klein, Brock Stewart and Edgardo Henriquez combined to give up only two hits but walk four batters.

The Dodgers’ defense certainly didn’t help (more on that later), but the pitching performances were plenty bad on their own.

The low points: When Stewart gave up a two-run homer to No. 9 hitter Tim Tawa in the fourth, breaking a 2-2 tie; and when Edgardo Henriquez entered in the fifth with a runner on second, and immediately brought him home by balking and throwing a wild pitch.

Who’s hot

Rodriguez eventually settled down after his shaky start for Arizona, completing a six-inning, two-run, five-strikeout start.

But not before Andy Pages followed Ohtani in the first inning with a home run of his own.

The blast was one of three hits Pages recorded on Friday, in addition to singles in the third and sixth innings. That marked the All-Star outfielder’s ninth three-hit game this season, but only the second time it had happened since May 6.

The 3-for-4 performance pushed his batting average back up to .269 and his OPS to .807.

Who’s not

For most of the year, the Dodgers’ defense has been a strength.

This week, it looks like they’re already thinking ahead to next week’s All-Star break.

On Friday, the team committed three errors: A bad throw from right fielder Kyle Tucker in the first inning, sending the ball skipping into the dugout to score a run; another bad throw in the fifth from catcher Dalton Rushing, who fired too low to second base to put a Diamondbacks’ rally in motion; and yet another misfire from third baseman Tommy Edman in the sixth while trying to field a bunt.

In all, they accounted for three unearned runs of the eight Dodgers pitchers allowed.

More concerning is that, over the last three games, the club has now committed six errors overall –– including a couple that contributed to another loss on Tuesday.

Even with those recent struggles, the Dodgers still lead the majors in fielding percentage and fewest errors recorded on the season.

But, it has been a source of frustration of late for Roberts, who looked dismayed in the dugout Friday as his squad kicked the ball around the yard.

Up next

The Dodgers will go from a bullpen game to their staff ace on Saturday, sending Yoshinobu Yamamoto (9-5, 2.49 ERA) to the mound for the final time before the All-Star break against Arizona right-hander Brandon Pfaadt (2-1, 4.84 ERA).

Community Back-to-School Bash Delivers 300 Free Backpacks to Students

SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Thanks to a community initiative held on Friday, hundreds of local students are stepping into the new school year better equipped with brand-new supplies.

Families convened on Abercorn Street for a no-cost back-to-school celebration, where backpacks packed with school essentials were distributed to the first 300 children who attended.

In addition to stocking up on school gear, children enjoyed the chance to unwind before the academic year began, with activities such as a bounce house, inflatable obstacle courses, face painting, games, music, and a lively foam party.

The event was organized by KidsStreet Urgent Care as a means to support local families in getting ready for the coming school term.

“We’re providing a plethora of school supplies and backpacks to students whose parents might not have the opportunity to shop for these extras before school starts,” explained Kara Lightner from KidsStreet Urgent Care. “Offering this opportunity while creating a fun atmosphere allows everyone to enjoy the back-to-school excitement,” she added.

Plea Agreement Reached in Fatal Robbery Case Involving Woman

Inset: Julie Marie Lopez (Bexar County Sheriff’s Office). Background: The apartment complex where Isaiah Guevara was killed during a robbery gone wrong in San Antonio, Texas (Google Maps).

A woman from Texas is set to serve a lengthy prison sentence for participating in a botched home invasion that resulted in the tragic death of a young man. However, her time in prison won’t be as extensive as initially anticipated.

Julie Marie Lopez, aged 20, admitted guilt to a single charge of aggravated robbery tied to the death of 20-year-old Isaiah Guevara, according to an announcement by the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office made on Thursday.

The event at the heart of this case took place late in October 2024, within the premises of the Villas of Oak Creste apartments located on Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio. It was during this time that the unfortunate chain of events unfolded.

The situation escalated with a 911 call made around 4 a.m. on October 26, 2024, as reported by an affidavit sourced from the San Antonio-based ABC affiliate KSAT. The caller reported hearing gunshots and seeing bullet holes perforating the apartment walls. Ultimately, law enforcement officers concluded that the caller was unharmed, despite the fact that gunfire had erupted from a neighboring unit.

Inside that other unit, police found the victim dead from multiple gunshot wounds with shell casings around his body. In his bedroom, there was also a cup from a QuikTrip gas station filled with red liquid on the dresser — still cold and dripping with condensation.

For months, the investigation continued.

In January 2025, Lopez was arrested and charged with murder and aggravated robbery over Guevara’s death.

A witness at the scene said they saw two men running out of the victim’s unit — and heard a woman yelling at the men from the parking lot, according to the affidavit. Another witness said they saw two men running downstairs. A doorbell camera caught three suspects fleeing.

Surveillance video from a QuikTrip near the apartment complex showed Lopez and Guevara inside together, police said. In the footage, Lopez was seen drinking a red-colored beverage from a QuikTrip cup that matched description of the cup found in the victim’s bedroom.

Investigators also discovered Instagram messages between Lopez and Guevara sent on the night of the killing — including plans to meet. In one such message, the woman sent the man her address so he could send a rideshare driver for her, but Lopez later said she found a ride.

At 3:42 a.m., Lopez sent a voice message to a person who became a witness in the investigation, indicating that a group of people was “hiding,” according to the affidavit.

Later, an anonymous tipster told police they heard the defendant talking with a relative about the shooting after a Crime Stoppers bulletin was posted featuring still images of the surveillance footage from the QuikTrip. During this conversation, Lopez admitted to being at Guevara’s apartment and that the whole ordeal was a setup, according to law enforcement.

During her first interview with police, Lopez admitted to being at the slain man’s apartment that night. Still, she refused to identify the people she had been with and referenced in the voice message.

When investigators said she was facing a murder charge if she did not reveal the names of the others, who would remain free while she was punished, Lopez said: “It’s my choice,” and “It’s my mistake.”

Days later, yet another witness came forward to say that Lopez had been part of the setup for Guevara to be robbed and that one of the woman’s friends killed Guevara as the robbery went awry, police said.

In March 2026, a 24-year-old man was charged with Guevara’s murder as well. In June, the charges were dropped for lack of evidence.

“Them changing it from, truly, a murder charge to a robbery charge is upsetting,” the victim’s aunt told KSAT. “And that’s why we keep fighting. We’re going to keep coming for the hearings because it’s just not fair.”

Under the terms of the plea deal the state struck with Lopez, she was sentenced to 15 years in prison. The sentence was quickly meted out by 227th Criminal District Court Judge Christine Del Prado, who also credited the defendant with 499 days spent in pretrial detention.

Tampa Diners React to Listeria Outbreak Linked to Popular China Buffet’s Menu

In Tampa, Florida, health authorities have issued a warning about a Listeria outbreak linked to a local Chinese buffet. Though Listeria symptoms often resemble those of food poisoning, there’s a heightened risk for severe illness in pregnant women, individuals over 65, and those with compromised immune systems.

The establishment at the heart of this outbreak, China Buffet located on East Fowler, is well-known and frequented by locals.

“Back when I lived nearby, I used to visit quite often, especially before they renovated,” shared frequent diner Joshua Arevalo.

Renee Chabebe, a patron, expressed her fondness for the buffet, saying, “The food is really good. I love it. I mainly go because of the crab legs.”

Friday, the Florida Department of Health in Hillsborough County announced a Listeria outbreak originated at the restaurant.

“To be honest with you, it’s a surprising — obviously it makes me rethink going here to eat right now,” Arevalo said.

The DOH said of the five people included in the outbreak, four ate at the restaurant between March and June 2026.

Dr. Adelor Zamora is an infectious disease specialist and the medical director of the Infection Prevention Program at HCA Brandon. He said he’s eaten at China Buffet before.

“But thank God, basically I’m not sick,” Zamora said.

He said Listeria cases are common in the summer, though they go under reported.

“The most common symptom is always gastroenteritis. It causes diarrhea, fevers, abdominal cramping,” Zamora said.

Those symptoms are similar to the other diarrhea-causing illness, Cyclosporiasis. There are 50 confirmed cases across the state and two of them are in Hillsborough County, according to FDOH.

“Cyclospora is a parasite. The Listeria is a bacteria. So that’s the main difference. They’re all foodborne illness, meaning they contaminate the food. And once you ingest it, you get infected,” Zamora said.

China Buffet’s manager told 8 On Your Side that in June they got the restaurant cleaned up and reopened but didn’t want to give any further comment.

Chabebe said she was there in June, and said she plans to keep coming back.

“I ask what happened and then they told me they had some health, you know, inspection and they had to throw all the food,” she said.

The DOH said they’ve conducted multiple onsite assessments and gave the restaurant required remediation measures.

“I would probably wind up actually trusting, going to eat here, knowing that someone has already been on top of things and has actually looked at it,” Arevalo said.

Doctors recommend washing your hands and food thoroughly and said to seek medical attention as soon as possible if you feel sick.

Trump Warns of 1,000-Missile Retaliation on Iran if Assassinated

0

Former President Donald Trump has declared that the United States has 1,000 missiles “locked and loaded,” aimed directly at Iran, as a preemptive measure should the Islamic republic proceed with threats to assassinate him.

Trump laid out a detailed strategy for potential military retaliation, stating unequivocally that Iran would face complete decimation if it were to follow through on its long-standing threats. This stark warning was delivered to the public on Friday night.

The context for Trump’s bold statement arose from increased calls for his assassination, notably during the funeral proceedings for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In response to these renewed threats, Trump’s warning stood out for its severe implications.

Offering one of his most direct threats to date against Tehran, Trump disclosed that he had already given precise instructions to military officials on the nation’s course of action if Iran were to make any attempts on his life.

Writing in a fervent post on Truth Social, Trump stated, “1000 Missiles are Locked and Loaded and aimed at the Islamic Republic of Iran, with thousands more to immediately follow if the Iranian Government acts on its threat to assassinate, or attempt to assassinate, the sitting President of the United States of America, in this case, ME!”

He continued: ‘Orders have already been given, and the US Military is ready, willing, and able, for a one year period of time, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran – PRAISE BE TO ALLAH!’

Trump’s remarks came just hours after mourners attending Khamenei’s funeral in Tehran again chanted slogans calling for the  president’s death.

The comments also follow days of escalating military confrontation between Washington and Tehran, including US strikes on Iranian targets and retaliatory Iranian attacks across the Middle East.

Trump said he had left instructions to ‘literally bomb’ Iran ‘at levels that they’ve never seen before’ if anything happened to him

The president’s latest declaration dramatically expanded on comments he made earlier this week, when he revealed he had already left standing instructions for overwhelming military retaliation if he were assassinated.

‘I’ve been on their list for a long time. That’s what we’re dealing with,’ Trump told the New York Post.

‘The only thing is, I’ve left instructions, if anything happens, to just literally bomb them at levels that they’ve never seen before.’

Asked about recent intelligence reports suggesting Israel had uncovered a fresh Iranian assassination plot targeting him, Trump dismissed the idea that the threat was new.

‘No, no. Israel came up with nothing. No, no,’ he said. ‘I’ve been number one for a long time, and it’s the way life is, you know.’

Iran’s hostility toward Trump dates back to January 2020, when he authorized the US drone strike that killed Iranian Revolutionary Guard General Qasem Soleimani near Baghdad International Airport.

Since then, senior Iranian officials have repeatedly vowed revenge, while posters and banners calling for Trump’s death have frequently appeared across Tehran.

More recently, large ‘Kill Trump’ signs written in both English and Farsi have been erected in the Iranian capital, underscoring the regime’s continued anger over Soleimani’s killing.

The threat environment surrounding Trump has intensified over the past year following multiple disrupted assassination plots, including the July 2024 campaign rally shooting in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a sniper’s bullet grazed his ear.

Trump has acknowledged the constant security risks surrounding his presidency.

During his final press conference in Ankara, Turkey, he admitted he may have viewed another White House run differently had he known the extent of the threats against his life.

Trump officials said that security concerns were also the reason the president chose to swap from his new Qatari-gifted Air Force One back to his older Boeing 747-200 jet for part of his journey home from the NATO summit.

The switch was designed as an element of ‘misdirection’ according to White House communications director Steven Cheung.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration has simultaneously intensified military pressure on Tehran following a series of attacks on commercial vessels transiting the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.

Officials have indicated that the scale and duration of the current campaign will depend entirely on Iran’s actions in the coming days, with the White House signaling it is prepared to sustain military operations if attacks continue.

Some administration advisers have privately referred to the military campaign by the informal nickname ‘Operation B**** Slap’ in internal discussions.

Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump said the US had responded "20-1" to Iran's attacks

However White House and Pentagon officials have stressed the phrase is unofficial and not the formal name of any military operation.

Trump has repeatedly insisted the United States will not tolerate attacks on international shipping or threats against American interests.

Those close to the president say the escalating confrontation with Iran has become deeply personal given the regime’s long-standing calls for his assassination.

The Daily Mail has contacted the White House for comment.

Scott Peterson’s New Legal Move: Efforts to Overturn His 2004 Murder Conviction Explained

0

On the night before Christmas in 2002, Laci Peterson, who was expecting, disappeared from her residence in Modesto, California. Several months later, her remains, along with her son’s fetus, were discovered on the banks of San Francisco Bay, resulting in the arrest of her husband, Scott Peterson.

Following a trial that captured widespread media attention, Scott was convicted of Laci’s first-degree murder and their unborn child’s second-degree murder, ultimately receiving a death sentence.

In the years following the trial, Scott persistently asserted his innocence, pursuing appeals and habeas corpus petitions in hopes of introducing new evidence. The network, Oxygen is elucidating recent developments in this case, including a new documentary that explores the defense team’s assertions.

How Has Scott Peterson Fought His Conviction?

As part of his legal process, Scott’s death penalty case was automatically appealed and heard by the California Supreme Court in 2020. The court upheld his guilty convictions for both murders but overturned the death sentence.

Over the years, Scott has submitted numerous habeas corpus petitions, with the latest receiving assistance from the Los Angeles Innocence Project.

In August 2025, Scott submitted his third habeas petition, which presented what his defense team argued was new and exculpatory evidence uncovered in the case.

However, in May 2026, a San Mateo County Superior Court judge denied the petition, rejecting all 14 of his claims.

“Judge [Elizabeth] Hill recognized the most recent attempt to undo the jury’s verdict for what it was – nothing more than recycled, repackaged and rebranded arguments,” Stanislaus County District Attorney Jeff Laugero said in part in a statement reacting to the news, adding that “no credible ‘new evidence’ was presented.”

“Peterson’s 2004 conviction has been upheld through two decades of post-conviction litigation and again with this ruling in 2026,” he added. “Laci, Conner and their family deserve the finality that justice promised them.”

In response to the court’s decision, the LAIP announced their intention to file the petition in a higher court.

“We disagree with and are disappointed by the court’s ruling on every level,” LAIP Deputy Director Hannah Brown said in a statement at the time. “The ruling demonstrates a profound misunderstanding and misapplication of the law applied to habeas corpus petitions.”

Is There New Evidence in the Scott Peterson Case?

The claims of new evidence that have been put forward by Scott’s defense team are set to be examined in the forthcoming A&E documentary Scott Peterson: The New Evidence.

“This documentary is built around the idea of stress-testing the Los Angeles Innocence Project’s findings,” the documentary’s host Chris Pixley told People.

“This is new science and new evidence, and every time you drill down, you find more,” he told the outlet. “It deserves an examination.”

According to People, the documentary will feature interviews with witnesses and experts and highlight “unexplored tips” in the case—evidence Pixley told the outlet has convinced him that Scott deserves a new trial.

The documentary is also expected to shed light on the alternate theory that a group of burglars killed Laci after a break-in to a neighbor’s home—a theory that was part of Scott’s habeas petition.

Investigators who worked on the Peterson case have previously refuted the burglary theory.

“I believe this is bulls–t,” former Modesto Police detective Al Brocchini, who worked on the case, said in Peacock’s 2024 documentary Face to Face with Scott Peterson, arguing that the two men linked to the robbery had alibis for the time of the murder.

“There is absolutely no reasonable doubt that Scott murdered Laci and his child, Conner, none,” he said. “He did it. [The] jury got it right.”

Where Is Scott Peterson Now?

As Scott’s defense team continues their efforts to overturn his conviction, he remains behind bars at Mule Creek State Prison in California’s San Mateo County, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation records show.

He was initially held on death row at San Quentin State Prison, but his death sentence was overturned in 2020. He was resentenced to life in prison without parole the following year and transferred to Mule Creek in 2022.

Top 5 Most Controversial Yellowstone Episodes: A Ranked Review

0

Within the tumultuous world of the Dutton family, life oscillates between exhilarating highs and heart-wrenching lows. Yet, it is the controversial moments, those unexpected, shocking twists, which leave audiences reeling and questioning whether they’ll continue on this dramatic journey. These are the kinds of episodes that might drive some fans away for good and propel others to seek the next binge-worthy series.

Despite such turbulence, viewers of “Yellowstone” have remained steadfast. Loyal until the very end, dedicated fans, who have navigated every twist and turn, can easily identify the show’s most polarizing episodes. Five stand out as particularly explosive, sparking ongoing debates about their value—conversations that any true “Yellowstone” aficionado has likely engaged in more than once.

5. Desire is All You Need (Season 5, Episode 9)

“Desire is All You Need” stands out for its notorious narrative turn where John Dutton, portrayed by Kevin Costner, meets his unexpected demise. Allegedly a suicide via a gunshot in the governor’s mansion bathroom, it is later revealed that John was murdered by strangulation, a violent act orchestrated by Market Equities, who covet his land, with a staged crime scene to mask the truth.

The episode’s shocking conclusion sent ripples through the fanbase and garnered critical attention. Fans voiced strong opinions, with one Reddit user, u/CarCharacter7295, expressing profound disappointment: “I always thought his death would be a classic western ending. I loved this show until now. I hate it; I can’t believe how this ended.” Yet, even those who disliked John found themselves emotionally stirred. As another user, u/trulymadlybigly, shared, “This show is brutal. I was seriously disturbed by watching them assassinate John Dutton. I didn’t even like him… but it made me inexplicably sad.”

The unexpected backlash took some show insiders by surprise. Episode director Christina Voros shared her insights with Entertainment Weekly: “There were a lot of people who were outraged that John was killed — and you’re supposed to be outraged he was killed. The characters are outraged that he’s killed. So in a strange way, it is the point. You are not supposed to be OK with it.”

4. Under a Blanket of Red (Season 4, Episode 5)

Enter anti-ranching vegan Summer Higgins (Piper Perabo), who is arrested thanks to a protest held on the Dutton property in “Under a Blanket of Red.” The introduction of this shrill, stereotypical activist drew plenty of mixed reviews, to say the least. But some viewers pointed out that Summer was a symptom of a much larger problem with the series: the flanderization of most of the show’s characters into pulp.

It’s hard to ignore the fact that Summer is a caricature who’s deliberately set up to be educated in the ways of the “real world” by John; she is practically enslaved to his custody on the ranch, is presented meat at dinner, punched out by Beth (Kelly Reilly), and eventually falls into a romantic relationship with John. Later, Summer learns from Beth that John lied about the terms of her release, and that she didn’t have to serve any time working off her debt to society on the ranch at all  — one last jarringly flat note to a truly disturbing storyline.

Audience members definitely noticed how ugly the whole affair was. “The solar energy thing vs natural gas was so corny. An entire staff who have been working and have the data on this for gods know how long are suddenly dumbfounded by the Gospel of John. Summer’s written horribly. that dinner scene where she names off all the meals like some shrew vegan type was embarrassing writing as well,” remarked u/I_Like_Ike. And at least one user noted that the show — being entirely written by Taylor Sheridan — is entirely limited to his viewpoint.

3. Blood the Boy (Season 2, Episode 6)

This is one of the moments where Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley) crossed the moral event horizon and became the wormy, cowardly, and eternally oscillating guy everyone loves to loathe. “Blood the Boy” sees him kill a reporter to whom he’s revealed way too much. With an ugly expose on the horizon and the family’s entire way of life in jeopardy, Jamie drowns the journalist, then turns to his family for help dumping the body at the train station.

Fans really began to turn on Jamie during this storyline. “I am waiting for him to become the liability so Rip can finally end this educated, privileged, but incomprehensibly helpless character. I am surprised John has so much restraint when dealing with him,” remarked u/arplayer2k.

But other viewers noted that John’s overly stern and controlling parenting style may have had a negative effect on young Jamie. After all, this is an episode where John, in a flashback, tells Jamie that he’s arranged for him to go to Harvard to become a lawyer — something Jamie didn’t know for sure he wanted at the time.  Whether it’s nature or nurture on full display here, it’s definitely something fans have debated about for years — just the thing Taylor Sheridan wanted them to do, as the show is supposed to be morally ambiguous.

2. Meaner Than Evil (Season 3, Episode 9)

“Meaner than Evil” contains an infamous scene in which Wade Morrow (Boots Southerland), whose up-and-down relationship with his ex-employer comprises a lot of the action of Season 3, has his brand cut off of his chest as an act of revenge after he injured Teeter (Jennifer Landon) and Colby (Denim Richards). Fans always winced at the branding scenes in the series, and there’s plenty of that to be found in this episode — Teeter and Colby are branded near the end of the episode, and Walker (Ryan Bingham) proves his worth to John and the ranch by being the one to cut off Wade’s brand.

All of that stomach-churning brutality has definitely accrued some mixed fan reviews. “… they showed just enough of Walker removing that brand, that I was cringing real hard. That was brutal,” remarked u/therealrico. “Oh goody another mass branding is on the calendar,” remarked u/MichaelJordansToupee. Those immediately opposing points of view explain just why this is such a controversial episode in the “Yellowstone” fandom — and why it’s both popular and reviled.

1. Cowboys and Dreamers (Season 3, Episode 5)

The most controversial episode of “Yellowstone” is “Cowboys and Dreamers,” if only because it finally reveals where the rift between Jamie and Beth started. It turns out that she leaned on him for help getting an abortion when they were teenagers, and while she was under anesthetics she was sterilized, as were many women who sought abortions on the reservations back in the day.

Abortion is a hard enough topic to discus in the first place, but it definitely divided “Yellowstone” fans when the episode aired. For some audience members, it was a scene that just plain didn’t age well. “Maybe its because I’m a woman, but I’m also the eldest of my siblings, and I cant see making a decision like that if either of my siblings came to me for help. That is so over the line, because that choice affects her for the rest of her life,” remarked u/nekila_rose.

But a surprisingly high number of fans were on Jamie’s side. “I did, however, point out in a heated family discussion, that Jamie was just a teenage kid as well. Note, I’m not defending his decisions AT ALL,” noted u/Flashdance007. Several other viewers noted that Jamie’s youth and fear of John, as well as John’s own culpability in the situation help complicate everything. A difficult episode, and the show’s most controversial, no matter how you slice it.

Rescue Teams Save Hundreds, Including Campers, from Missouri’s Unprecedented Flooding Event

In an unprecedented weather event that altered the landscape of Missouri, hundreds of individuals, including young campers, were saved from perilous conditions after flash floods turned tranquil rivers into ferocious torrents.

The region saw an overwhelming amount of rainfall, with thunderstorms unleashing between 6 and 12 inches of rain across southeast Missouri. Officials have characterized this as a 1-in-1000-year rainfall event, highlighting its extreme nature.

Responding to the historic overnight deluge, Governor Mike Kehoe declared a state of emergency and mobilized one of the most extensive search and rescue operations the state has seen. This was a crucial step in coordinating the efforts to manage such an extraordinary situation.

The Black River, along with nearby streams in southeast Missouri, swelled beyond their banks due to the torrential downpour, posing significant risks to local residents and vacationers gathered for the summer. The dangerous rise in water levels necessitated immediate intervention.

Governor Kehoe reported that over 200 water rescues were carried out throughout the region, a testament to the scale and urgency of the relief efforts deployed to ensure the safety of those affected.

Victims were stranded in flood waters, on trees and rooftops and in vehicles.

Around 200 stranded campers were swiftly rescued and airlifted out to safety by National Guard helicopters Friday afternoon from the Camp Taum Stauk in the hammered region of Reynolds County, according to State Highway Patrol Sergeant Eddie Young.

Half of the evacuees rescued from the summer youth camp, which is located 100 miles south of St. Louis, were children and the rest were camp counselors and staff, Young confirmed.

Elsewhere in Reynolds County, around 20 people were swept away after a building at the Bearcat Gateway Campground collapsed from the weight of the stranded campers who had climbed on top of the roof to escape from the raging flood waters, Young said.

Another three people were rescued from trees along the Black River in Reynolds County.

There were 20 to 30 people reported missing throughout the battered Reynolds County, including the campers swept away from Bearcat Gateway Campground, but by Friday evening, all were either rescued or turned up safe.

So far there have been no fatalities or serious injuries reported.

But one woman in Crawford County, located 71 miles southwest of St. Louis, remains missing after the house she was in was swept away from its foundation by the floodwaters.

“Missouri’s first responders once again answered the call with extraordinary bravery, professionalism, and compassion, rescuing hundreds of Missourians from dangerous floodwaters,” Kehoe said.

“As recovery efforts continue and additional rain is expected, I urge everyone in flood-prone and low-lying areas to stay weather-aware, have multiple ways of receiving alerts, and be ready to take protective action.”

Eight states have posted flood watches for over 21 million people from Missouri to Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania, according to the National Weather Service.

Additional showers were expected on Friday night across the rain-saturated region, though the weather service warned that “considerable flood impacts will be likely” if southeastern Missouri experiences further heavy rain overnight into Saturday morning.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Andre Gray Announce Exciting News: Baby Number Three on the Way

Leigh-Anne Pinnock and her husband, Andre Gray, are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their third child.

The singer joyfully announced the pregnancy via Instagram, posting a video captured in a recording studio. The captivating clip begins with close-up shots of Pinnock, eventually pulling back to unveil her growing baby bump.

“As one chapter ends, another begins,” she wrote in the heartfelt caption accompanying her post.

Pinnock, 34, and Gray are already proud parents to their twin daughters, born in 2021. The couple has chosen to maintain their daughters’ privacy by not disclosing their names or sharing any photos of their faces.

During a February interview with People, Pinnock elaborated on their decision to shield their children from the public spotlight.

“I remember when they were born, I was going through this online hate thing and really seeing the toxicity of social media,” she said. “I mean, I probably would’ve still decided to not show their faces anyway, but that just kind of confirmed it for me. I want them to be able to make that decision.”

“I want them to be able to choose if they want to be famous or not, because once they’re out there, they’re out there,” she continued. “And I think that’s such a big thing. It’s just a f—ing scary place out there.”

While fans won’t be seeing the twins anytime soon, their voices can be heard at the end of “Heaven,” the closing track on My Ego Told Me To.

“I cry every time I listen to that song,” Pinnock said. “It’s actually my favorite song of all time, to be honest.”

Pinnock rose to fame as a member of Little Mix after the group won The X Factor in 2011. The quartet went on to become one of the best-selling girl groups in U.K. history before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2022.
