A 911 dispatch recording linked to Presley Gerber’s suspected overdose indicates that he suffered cardiac arrest before his death at age 27.

Audio obtained by The Daily Mail from the emergency call placed at a Los Angeles rehabilitation facility captures an automated operator mentioning “cardiac arrest,” followed by “overdose.”

The recordings underscore how quickly Gerber’s condition deteriorated over the course of just a few minutes.

The initial call was placed at 9:35 a.m. on Sunday, September 20, reporting a cardiac arrest. Three minutes later, the incident was reclassified as an “overdose.” By 9:40 a.m., the emergency response priority had been raised again as the situation was “upgraded.”

Gerber’s death was announced Sunday. The model, whose parents are supermodel Cindy Crawford and entrepreneur Rande Gerber, had reportedly battled drug addiction, panic attacks and mental health issues for years.

A spokesperson for the Santa Monica Police Department told The Daily Mail on Monday that first responders were sent to the luxury rehabilitation facility where Gerber had been staying Sunday morning. He was pronounced dead at the location.

“On September 20, 2026, at approximately 9.35am, Santa Monica Police Department officers responded to a report of a possible overdose in the 1000 block of Berkeley Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who was deceased,” the department said.

“SMPD detectives are investigating the death as a suspected overdose. At this time, there is no indication of foul play. The investigation remains ongoing.”

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet released an official cause of death. However, the autopsy had been completed by Monday morning, and Gerber’s body was ready to be released.

According to TMZ, Gerber occupied a separate house on the rehabilitation center’s grounds with other residents. The report also said he had entered the facility Saturday night, only hours before his death.

The Daily Mail said it had contacted representatives for the Gerber family but had not received a response.

The medical examiner’s office told People on Monday that paramedics pronounced Gerber dead at 9:45 a.m. on September 20, 2026.

The model had previously spoken publicly about a decade-long battle with drug addiction and ongoing mental health challenges.

Earlier this year, Gerber wrote about receiving a “pre-ibogaine flood dose” at a treatment clinic in Mexico. The process involves administering a single, concentrated dose of ibogaine, a naturally occurring psychoactive compound.

Ibogaine comes from an African shrub and has been reported to ease some withdrawal symptoms. The high-dose treatment is intended to create what proponents describe as a profound psychological “reset.”

After Gerber shared news of beginning the treatment in March, his parents and sister, Kaia, publicly applauded what they called his courage.

Crawford wrote, “You are a warrior! Walked thru the fire to find yourself! So proud!” Kaia added: “That’s my brother I am so damn proud.”

And Rande wrote: ‘I’m so proud of you and your courage. Facing what’s hard takes real strength and watching you find your way back to yourself is everything. I love you so much.’ 

Ibogaine is classified as a Schedule I controlled substance in the US but it is legal or permitted on prescription in countries such as Canada and Brazil while it is used in specialised clinics in Mexico.

Presley praised the Beond Ibogaine clinic in Cancun – where treatment starts at $12,500 for a ten-day programme – for its ‘incredible, caring, kind and on-their-s*** team.’

Presley said in a video caption: ‘I was absolutely terrified, and I knew I would be again if I ever had to face something like this (helps to not go into the situations you do that get ya there but that’s life sometimes.)

‘My mantras were love yourself and lis gotta be the last time for this reason. letting go of control didn’t come easy, but I trusted there was something bigger than me guiding it.

 ‘I knew why i was there. I faced what I had been running from, and somewhere in all of it, i started finding my way back to myself… We shall see… Praying it’s the last time I have to come back.

Beond Ibogaine commented on the post at the time, writing: ‘Thank you for sharing this so openly. We know how much courage that moment takes, and we’re really proud of you for facing it with so much honesty and heart. It was an honor to support you.’

Beond Ibogaine’s website states that ‘Ingesting a large enough dose induces a temporary psychedelic experience that can last several hours, normally with no significant side-effects. 

‘For hundreds of years, indigenous African peoples… have ingested large doses of Ibogaine in its raw root bark form for its spiritual and healing properties.

‘Over the past 30 years, Ibogaine has been administered in various clinics around the world for medical treatment purposes, most often to treat drug dependence.’ 

Despite its ban, public figures including singer Melissa Etheridge, who lost her 21-year-old son Beckett to a fentanyl overdose in 2020, and Khloe Kardashian’s ex husband Lamar Odom have endorsed Ibogaine’s benefits.

Last November, Presley revealed he had taken a step back from social media to ‘take care of my own mental health for a bit.’

One month later, he opened up about his personal life in a candid social media video. He started sharing ‘Mental Health Mondays’ videos on his Instagram. In one, he listed the medication he takes for ‘night terrors’ and ‘panic attacks.’

‘I feel like honesty is the best policy,’ he began. 

He also said his use of medication had been ‘fluctuating up and down depending on what’s been going on in my life.’ 

‘Unfortunately, I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently, so that is not an excuse, but it’s the reason why I am where I’m at now,’ he shared. 

He did not go into detail about the ‘loss’ he referenced but went on to explain that he would experience panic attacks that were ‘really, really bad.’ 

In one particularly bleak admission, he confessed he no longer even knew precisely how much of one medication he had been taking.

‘Who f***ing knows anymore,’ he said.

He acknowledged that navigating the advice he received from medical professionals could itself be frightening. 

He noted in the Instagram reel that ‘doctors say a lot of different things so it’s kind of scary. But hopefully between my research and their research and the world and God, we can finally figure this out.’

In July 2025, he spoke about bringing healthy habits into his life. He talked about his upbringing noting how he grew up as a ‘very active’ child who would be playing sports including swimming, surfing and water polo.

It was when he started working that he said sports suddenly became less of a priority – and it took a toll on his mental health. 

‘The quality of life rapidly decreased.’ He said it took ’10 years’ to figure out that he needed to reconnect with physical activity again.

The tragedy cuts short the life of a model who had seemingly been destined to follow his famous mother into fashion from an early age. 

A spokesman for Crawford told the Daily Mail on Sunday: ‘The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time.’ 

Presley started modeling at age 15 and was featured in campaigns for fashion labels such as Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein. 

Presley was signed to IMG models and appeared in a 2018 Pepsi ad with his mother.

He also struggled with mental health at a young age and was arrested for driving under the influence in 2019. 

Presley had also talked about the lack of ‘direction’ he has from doctors when it comes to his medication. 

He spoke openly about feeling lost as he attempted to navigate his mental health problems – even revealing that he had seen 15 psychiatrists. 

The model complained that doctors had given him an overwhelming array of medications but too little guidance about how to manage them.

‘I’d like doctors to be like, ‘Take this three times a day.’ But every psychiatrist I’ve had – and I’ve had 15 – are like, ‘Here’s 20 medications and take this if you feel like this, take this as needed.’

‘And I’m like, ‘No, don’t give me that much leeway.’ I need some direction,’ he continued. 

His death comes just weeks after his younger sister Kaia Gerber, 25, opened up about the enormous toll her brother’s struggles had taken on their famous family – admitting the turmoil had effectively ‘leveled everyone.’ 

‘When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone,’ she told Vogue.

Kaia also revealed last month that watching her brother battle his problems led her to cast herself as the family’s ‘easy’ child and someone who did not want to add another burden for their parents. 

She explained: ‘I think that’s also why I started to self-​identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing.’

But she also praised her brother’s willingness to strip away the secrecy surrounding his struggles.

She described his honesty and openness as ‘refreshing,’ contrasting it with the intensely private way their parents had traditionally handled family life.

‘My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything – and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m gonna be very human for everyone.’ There’s only so much you can hide from the world,’ she said.

‘And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them,’ she noted.

This past May, Presley expressed gratitude for his father in a heartfelt Instagram post.

He shared a photograph of the pair paddle boarding together and paid an emotional tribute to the man he said had steadfastly supported him through his darkest periods. 

‘I have the best father in the world. He’s never given up on me. He’s always there for me. Always has the best advice for me. I appreciate this man more than words can explain. I love you pops. To more paddle boarding days around the world.’

His mother Crawford showed her support in the comments, writing, ‘My boys!’.

The father of two wrote, ‘I am honored [to] take this ride called life with you over and over any time. Sometimes we may fall but with a little help always get back up. I love you forever Prez.’

Presley was open about his mental health struggles noting how he had issues from ‘a very young age’ – and labeled it as ‘the ultimate pandemic.’

During an appearance on the Studio 22 podcast in 2023, Presley had shared: ‘It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it. 

Even while struggling himself, Presley said he hoped his experiences might ultimately allow him to help others facing their own battles. 

‘Having struggled with mental health, depression and some other things that come along with that, I think that whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that’s all I need to do,’ he said.

‘That is really what I want to do – help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body.

He added: ‘I’ve seen a lot of stuff and I’ve learned a lot of things. What I hope I can do is have made the mistakes for some other people, so they don’t have to make the same mistakes that I made.’

Braden Peters, the controversial “looksmaxxing” influencer known online as “Clavicular,” is facing criminal charges in Massachusetts after a woman told police he got her intoxicated and had sex with her without her consent when she was 17, according to court records obtained by News Media.

Peters, 20, has been charged with rape, drugging a person to facilitate sexual intercourse and an alcohol-related misdemeanor.

The case centers on an alleged May 23, 2025, encounter at Peters’ family residence in Chatham on Cape Cod, court documents say.

According to investigators, the teenager met Peters through Instagram and was invited to his home to create “looksmaxxing” content—material tied to an online movement focused on improving one’s physical appearance.

The teenager said Peters arranged an Uber to bring her to the house, where he was livestreaming on Twitch. She told police that Peters knew she was 17 but directed her to tell viewers she was 18 and to call alcohol “water” to avoid having his account or stream suspended.

Investigators were later shown footage from Peters’ Twitch account that allegedly recorded parts of the night. In one clip, the teenager can be heard saying, “Wait, I’m so drunk though,” shortly before she and Peters kissed, police said.

She told investigators that she and Peters later had sex. She also alleged that she woke up the next morning to another sexual encounter that occurred without her consent.

Police said they believed her intoxication was severe enough to prevent her from legally consenting.

A judge determined there was probable cause for all three charges on Sept. 4. Orleans District Court on Cape Cod issued a criminal complaint Sept. 8, and Peters was summoned to appear for arraignment Oct. 14.

Mitchell Jackson, who represents Peters, disputed the allegations in a statement to News Media. He pointed to the timing of a civil lawsuit filed against Peters and the woman’s later decision to report the matter to police.

“She files a lawsuit and doesn’t include sexual assault as a count. Then she amends it and adds it a couple of months later,” Jackson said.

Jackson said Peters subsequently sought to have the civil case dismissed, maintaining that letters and text messages supported his account and that Peters “refused to pay money.”

“She and her lawyer then go to police,” he said.

Peters also addressed the allegations on social media, sharing screenshots of messages and a handwritten letter that he said supported his version of events.

“Trying to get my attention in anyway possible, a lawsuit? Seriously… really petty of you,” Peters wrote with the images.

News Media is withholding the alleged victim’s identity.

The police report says the alleged victim went to the Chatham Police Department with an attorney on June 4, 2026, more than a year after the alleged encounter. She told investigators that she initially kept the incident to herself because she was embarrassed and did not want to tell her grandparents, whom she was living with at the time.

As part of the investigation, police sought Uber records from the night of the alleged encounter. Uber later confirmed Peters’ name and phone number in information returned to investigators, the police report states.

A Chatham police officer also tried twice to reach Peters by phone in late August but received no answer. The officer wrote that both calls went to a full voicemail inbox and that Peters had not contacted the department about the case as of Aug. 30.

News Media also reached out to Peters’ attorney, Steve Kramer, for comment on the charges and allegations.

Peters has amassed an online following under the name “Clavicular,” producing viral content centered on looksmaxxing.

The Massachusetts case is the latest legal trouble involving the influencer.

Earlier this year, Peters faced a misdemeanor charge in Florida after authorities alleged he repeatedly fired a gun at a dead alligator during a livestream in the Everglades.

An attorney for Peters said at the time that he had followed the instructions of a licensed airboat guide and stressed that no people or animals were harmed. Peters and two other men were summoned to appear on charges of discharging a gun in public.

Peters was also arrested in Florida earlier this year on battery and conspiracy to commit-battery allegations stemming from an altercation between two women at an Airbnb near Kissimmee.

Osceola County authorities alleged Peters instigated the fight and posted video of it on social media to “exploit the two women.”

Taylor Swift announced her musical comeback Tuesday with a new single called “Patient Zero.”

The 36-year-old pop superstar, who married NFL player Travis Kelce, also 36, in July, sent fans into a frenzy after her website displayed a cryptic two-hour countdown. Many initially wondered whether the timer signaled the long-awaited release of the couple’s wedding photos.

Swift has long used countdowns and carefully planted Easter eggs to build anticipation. In the past, similar online teases have preceded new albums, fashion shoots and limited-edition merchandise drops.

She added to the mystery by changing her Twitter and Instagram bios to read, “And, baby, that’s sh0w business f0r y0u,” accompanied by a flaming heart emoji. The phrase used zeros in place of the letter “o.”

When the clock reached 2 p.m. ET, Swift unveiled the artwork for the single. The imagery appeared to reference a 2024 Los Angeles Times article that described her as “patient zero” for emotional contagion.

Alongside a sultry new photograph, Swift wrote: “I’ve been impatiently waiting to tell you that my brand new single ‘Patient Zero’ will be out on September 25 (!!!!!!!!!!!!) and it’s available to pre-order now on my website for 24 hours.”

The accompanying images showed Swift posing in revealing black dresses, with smoky eye makeup and her trademark red lipstick. The dark, dramatic styling appeared to usher in a new chapter of her career.

Fans could pre-order three versions of the song for $3.99 each, including acoustic and piano renditions.

The gothic photo shoot seemed to take place in a crypt, prompting fans to speculate that “Patient Zero” might belong to a companion project. Some suggested it could represent “a sister album to The Life of a Showgirl,” with the phrase “it’s the death of a showgirl” fueling the theory.

The Daily Mail said it contacted Swift’s representative for comment but had not received a response.

Before the announcement, fans joked that the countdown might finally reveal Taylor and Travis’ wedding pictures. “Plot twist, it’s Taylor and Trav’s wedding photos behind the countdown,” one fan wrote, while another declared, “The countdown is for the wedding photos!!”

Other theories centered on a deluxe edition of Swift’s latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. Fans also interpreted the three zeros in her updated bio as angel numbers representing a “new beginning” for the singer.

Swift’s most recent album arrived in October 2025 with The Life of a Showgirl. Her latest single, “I Knew It, I Knew You,” from the Toy Story 5 soundtrack, reached the top of the charts in June.

Swift and Kelce married at Madison Square Garden on July 4. The couple’s wedding was confirmed in an email sent to journalists by Swift’s longtime publicist, Tree Paine, who also detailed their Christian Dior styling.

The bride accessorized her wedding look with Cartier jewelry and custom Christian Louboutin shoes. Yet two months after the ceremony, fans still had not seen photographs from the event.

Tensions in the South China Sea intensified Friday when a Chinese Coast Guard vessel collided with a Philippine government ship, an incident recorded on video that drew sharply different accounts from Manila and Beijing.

The Philippine Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources vessel BRP Datu Magat Salamat was delivering fuel to Filipino fishermen when the collision occurred at 11:13 a.m. The encounter took place about 54 nautical miles off Palawan province, in waters Manila says fall within the Philippines’ exclusive economic zone.

Video released by the Philippine Coast Guard captured crew members shouting, “Brace for impact!” just before the crash. Images taken afterward showed bent and broken railings, damaged metal supports and debris across the Philippine vessel’s deck. No injuries were reported.

Philippine officials accused Beijing of deliberately striking a civilian government vessel during what they described as a humanitarian mission supporting the livelihoods of Filipino fishermen.

Jay Tarriela, a Philippine Coast Guard spokesperson for West Philippine Sea affairs, said the Chinese vessel initially crossed behind the Philippine ship at a distance of about 33 feet. He said it repeated the maneuver minutes later before colliding with the vessel.

Beijing rejected Manila’s version of events. Chinese Coast Guard spokesperson Jiang Lue said the Philippine vessel “intentionally adjusted its course and suddenly accelerated to cut across the bow” of the Chinese ship despite repeated warnings. China said its vessel was carrying out lawful operations near Sabina Shoal and placed responsibility for the collision on the Philippine side.

Washington also weighed in on the confrontation. U.S. Ambassador to the Philippines Lee Lipton said the United States “strongly condemn[s] the China Coast Guard’s deliberate ramming.”

The Chinese Embassy in Manila countered by accusing the United States of supporting Philippine “infringement and provocations” in the contested waters.

Friday’s collision adds to a growing series of maritime confrontations between China and the Philippines. In July, Manila accused Chinese forces of using water cannons against government vessels near Scarborough Shoal and of striking a Philippine Navy staff member on the head with a wooden baton during an encounter at Second Thomas Shoal.
