Gia Giudice Shares Concerns Over Teresa and Melissa’s Fragile Truce as RHONJ Season 15 Approaches with “Different Energy

The world of reality television is rife with drama, but it seems Gia Giudice is maintaining a clear perspective amidst the tension. The daughter of Teresa Giudice shared her thoughts on whether the upcoming season of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” might unsettle the peace her mother and aunt Melissa Gorga recently achieved. Gia also delved into her experience filming the second season of “Next Gen NYC,” sharing how she’s evolved her approach to being in the spotlight.

Gia Giudice on If She’s Worried RHONJ Could Ruin Teresa and Melissa’s Truce, Teases Season 15's "Different Energy"

The longstanding discord between Teresa and her brother Joe Gorga, along with Joe’s wife Melissa, reached a resolution as season 14 came to a close. Bravo eagerly announced the return of RHONJ for its 15th season, promising new faces and, perhaps, new tensions. The show’s long-standing narrative often highlighted the familial strife, capturing the attention and hearts of many viewers. With filming for the new season already underway, fans are curious about the dynamic changes the fresh cast members might bring.

During an appearance on Reality Nightcap, Gia Giudice faced the critical question of whether she harbors concerns about the show reigniting strife between Teresa and Melissa. With the sensitive nature of their reconciliation so fresh, her insights are particularly revealing. As relationships evolve both on and off-screen, Gia’s perspective may offer a glimpse into how she and her family are navigating the ever-volatile reality TV landscape.

Years after season 14 ended, Teresa, her brother Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa finally reconciled. Bravo soon announced that RHONJ would return for season 15. For many years, the show focused on the ‘war’ between Teresa and Melissa’s respective families. The new season recently began filming, and will feature several newbies.

On Reality Nightcap, Gia was asked if she’s worried about the show stirring up drama between Teresa and Melissa.

“Honestly, you know, I feel like time heals all wounds,” she said. “And also as you get older, I think you really just realize how special and also sensitive time is and how it shouldn’t be taken for granted.”

“I truly believe with everything in me that this will never happen again, them fighting,” she continued. “And I do not think that they would ever make it get to that point again. We are all in such a good place. … It’s just not going to happen.”

In an interview with Us Weekly, Gia teased the new season of RHONJ.

“It’s been so fun,” said the 25-year-old. “I filmed a little bit last week, and it’s great. I mean, just the energy in the room, and just the feeling of everything is so different, especially now that everyone is good, and we’re not fighting anymore. .. It’s just such a different energy and vibe going into it, which I think is making it a lot more fun. It’s honestly beautiful to see. … It’s like a breath of fresh air.”

Gia then shared that she changed her own approach to filming season 2 of Next Gen NYC.

“[I filmed with] just more [of] an open mind,” she explained. “I was really excited to just dive deeper into my life, so I think I just approached it with my guard a little more down than I did season 1.”

“I think you find Gia finding herself, honestly, and basically kind of coming to the terms that it’s OK to leave [her mom’s house], and that my family will be OK without me,” said the star, who recently moved into her own apartment. “I think that was a big pill for me to swallow. It wasn’t that I couldn’t move out, I could, and I had the means to. It’s never really a rush in Italian culture to move out of your parents’ house, so that was for starters, and then two, I just was so comfortable being there for my family. I am a person that my family relies heavily on, so it was just a little nerve-wracking for me to leave the house, but … it’s pretty amazing.”

Escalating Speculation Surrounds Simon Cowell Amidst Rumor Surge

For over ten years, Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman have been together, but their journey hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Today, they appear content and carefree when spotted in public, yet their relationship had a rather tumultuous beginning. The buzz about their romance began in 2013 under controversial circumstances—Lauren was then married to Andrew Silverman, a close friend of Cowell. The situation was as tense privately as it appeared publicly. “It was one of the hardest times of my life,” Lauren revealed in a June 2026 episode of the “Happy Mum” podcast.

The scandal erupted as Lauren was expecting Cowell’s child, Eric, creating fertile ground for a media frenzy. With her marriage concluding, Lauren experienced an array of emotions that remain with her. “There are so many emotions that went with that, because it was the end of my marriage, obviously,” she shared. Welcoming a baby, however, complicated matters. “I’m so, I don’t want to say regretful because I don’t regret anything… [But] do I wish it had happened a different way? … Of course I do,” she admitted.

Despite the turmoil, Lauren and Andrew worked towards co-parenting their son, Adam, setting their personal struggles aside. Yet, it was far from simple. Andrew, who largely stayed out of the limelight during the scandal, had his own reflections mirroring Lauren’s. “It was a very difficult time in my life,” he conveyed to the Observer in 2014. The affair spiraled rapidly, leaving behind a complicated web needing years to unravel.

Simon Cowell wasn’t proud of the affair — but has no regrets

Throughout the media storm, Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman found solid ground, eventually getting engaged in 2021. Reflecting on the ordeal, Simon expressed a wish for a different approach. “I regret that part,” he mentioned to the Mirror in 2014. Like Lauren, Simon carries mixed emotions regarding the affair’s unfolding.

Despite its challenges, Simon’s life took a positive turn, thanks to the situation. “You have a baby and you look at the baby and you kinda go ‘this is what happened from it,’” he remarked. While he regrets causing pain to his former friend, he doesn’t regret the life-changing events. “It is not something I am proud of or wanted to happen in terms of hurting anyone. It just happened,” he explained. Unplanned as fatherhood was, it became a pivotal element in his life, offering him newfound responsibilities and perspective. “It puts things in perspective having two people in my life who I am responsible for,” expressed Cowell.

Cowell has never looked back. Eric has changed his life in many ways, all of them for the better. Cowell’s son helped him quit his decades-long cigarette habit and embrace a healthier lifestyle, and he gave his life new meaning. “If I wasn’t where I am in my life today, I think it would feel quite empty,” Cowell told People in 2025. He’s not proud of how it happened, but he’s happy it happened — scandal and all. “In a weird way I probably needed that,” he said in the Mirror interview.

Iraqi Lawmakers and Officials Detained in Major Overnight Corruption Sweep

0

In a significant crackdown early Sunday, several prominent Iraqi political figures were detained on corruption-related charges, as announced by Iraq’s state news outlet, the Iraqi News Agency.

These detentions stem from revelations made by Adnan al-Jumaili, the former Oil Deputy Minister, who faced arrest last month. The accusations led to action against certain members of Parliament, following the revocation of their legal immunity.

In decisive early morning operations, Iraqi security personnel secured the entrances to Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone and executed raids within this critical area, which is home to vital governmental offices and international embassies.

An exclusive report from security sources, accessed by The Associated Press, detailed the arrest of seven individuals, among whom five were sitting members of Parliament.

A number of those arrested were linked to the political alliance of ex-Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani. However, the specific allegations each faces remain vague at this time.

Al-Sudani’s bloc won the largest share of seats in November’s parliamentary elections, but he ultimately stepped aside amid a deadlock in the Coordination Framework — a coalition of Shiite parties allied with Iran that brought al-Sudani to power — over their preferred candidate for premier.

He was replaced by Ali al-Zaidi, a businessman and political newcomer, who emerged as a consensus candidate and received the blessing of the United States.

The arrests are likely to have ripple effects across Iraq’s fractured political landscape, where accusations of corruption frequently intersect with rivalries over power and influence.

Messi’s Golden Boot Quest Shines Brighter at World Cup Breakfast

Greetings and welcome to the World Cup Breakfast update from Daily Mail Sport on day 18 of the tournament. Here you can catch up on everything you may have missed overnight in North America.

Stay with us for the freshest news, viral highlights, and must-watch events.

OVERNIGHT ACTION

Here’s a recap of the overnight action…

Jordan 1-3 Argentina (Group J)

Lionel Messi entered the fray at the 59th minute and by the end of the match, had further cemented his position as the top contender for the Golden Boot.

He’s now two ahead of Kylian Mbappe on six and the 19th World Cup goal of his career came 10 minutes from time when he cleverly whipped a low free-kick around the wall and wrong-footed the goalkeeper.

The 39-year-old’s strike meant he became the first player to score in seven consecutive World Cup games and it polished off an accomplished performance for the champions.

Giovani Lo Celso gave them the lead with a wonderful free-kick of his own before Lautaro Martinez doubled the advantage from the spot. Jordan struck back through Musa Al-Taamari but Messi’s goal put the result to bed.

Algeria 3-3 Austria (Group J)

Fortunately this was not a re-run of the ‘Disgrace of Gijon’, the infamous 1982 World Cup clash between Austria and West Germany that was played without effort to see both sides through at Algeria’s expense.

This time around, while both Algeria and Austria progressed, they went hell for leather in a hugely entertaining 3-3 draw that was one of the tournament’s best games so far but cruelly knocked Iran out of the World Cup.

Iran thought Riyad Mahrez’s 93rd-minute goal to put Algeria 3-2 up had saved them but Sasa Kalajdzic’s header with the last real action of the match made it 3-3 and brought an end to their unhappy campaign.

Fears of a casual kickabout to suit both sides were thankfully misplaced but the result for the Iranians was unfortunately the same.

DR Congo 3-1 Uzbekistan (Group K)

DR Congo needed to win to set up a knockout game against England and did just that, sealing a place in the top eight third-placed spots with ease.

It means Thomas Tuchel’s side avoid a slightly more unfavourable clash with Senegal and they have Newcastle striker Yoan Wissa to thank.

Wissa scored twice in the 3-1 win, his nation’s first ever at a World Cup, and spoke of his pride at bringing joy to a nation ravaged by war and currently fighting an Ebola outbreak.

He said: ‘We are a proud country. We are proud people. We love our country. We love our national team. We love what we represent!’

Colombia 0-0 Portugal (Group K)

Davinson Sanchez and Colombia were denied a deserved victory by a toe after the defender’s late goal was ruled out for offside by VAR.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Co now face a tricky route to the World Cup final after finishing behind their Group K rivals in second spot.

And those uncomfortable questions about their 41-year-old striker are right back on the agenda just days after he declared: ‘I’m back’.

Roberto Martinez’s side now play Croatia in the next round and have a likely meeting with local rivals Spain if they make it to the last 16.

England 2-1 Panama (Group L)

It might not have been pretty all the way through, nor as smooth as the previous meeting between the two teams – which saw England beat Panama 6-1 in 2018 in Russia – but the Three Lions topped the group with a record-breaking performance.

After toiling against another challenging low block for the first-half, Jude Bellingham provided the magic and creativity necessary to break the deadlock as he scored from a corner to put England ahead.

Just five minutes later, Harry Kane doubled his side’s lead thanks to an assist from Bellingham that cemented his spot in the history books. England were able to keep a clean sheet too, after a wild Panama effort from distance which chipped Jordan Pickford was chalked off for offside.

Croatia 2-1 Ghana (Group L)

Scotland’s exit from the World Cup was confirmed as Croatia beat Ghana 2-1 in Philadelphia on Saturday night.

Scotland needed Ghana to win by three goals to ensure Croatia finished outside of the top eight third-placed teams and keep alive their slim hopes of reaching the last 32.

Instead, Croatia finished second while Ghana went through in third place with a point more than Scotland. Petar Sucic put Croatia ahead on the half hour before Derrick Luckassen levelled in the 76th minute – the goal confirmed after a lengthy VAR review – but Nikola Vlasic scored the winner for Croatia late on

VIEWS FROM THE GROUNDS

IAN HEBERT IN SEATTLE

The image of a young woman on the front of many T-shirts around the perimeter of the Seattle Stadium, where Iran played Egypt on Friday, told you she was someone who’d seized life. The quietly determined smile and the folded arms were those of Setayesh Shafiei. She’d been brought up in an orphanage but put a difficult start to life behind her. She was 20 when she died, while trying to help a 12-year-old boy who’d been wounded when the Iranian military cracked down on protests against the nation’s despotic regime. One of 42,000 who lost their lives in a few days in January.

I spent a lot of Friday in the company of the American-Iranians diaspora in Seattle who were protesting against that regime, which has a vice-like grip on the Iran FA and the team. The diaspora think the team, as a symbol of a murderous state, should have been banned from this World Cup.

Yet that very team have fought like heroes to get to the knock-out stages and were warriors against Egypt. It’s impossible not to admire them. The players might not have spoken the truth to power, but their presence here has allowed the stories of those who died to be heard. The image of Setayesh speaks for them.

JACK GAUGHAN IN NEW YORK

Such was the volume of England supporters at the MetLife on Saturday, Thomas Tuchel was asked whether the win over Panama felt like Wembley. Yes, he did. But really, no it cannot have been given the distinct lack of paper aeroplanes.

No need for them when Jude Bellingham is in that sort of mood.

‘The crazy white wall’ is how Tuchel described thousands behind one goal and that is exactly what this team will continue needing if they are to progress deeper into the tournament.

Predictably, the airlines had already doubled prices for flights to Atlanta for the last-32 game even before a ball had been kicked here. They’ll only go up more.

CELEBRITY WATCH

As one would imagine, the stars were out in full force on Saturday to take in England’s final group stage game, and while David Beckham has been a permanent fixture at this World Cup, the Three Lions welcomed a clutch of newer fans.

Lionesses star Chloe Kelly was joined in New Jersey by her team-mate Alessia Russo, who provided pre-match opinions from the centre circle, while darts supremo Luke Littler was joined Stateside by his family to take in the win.

VIRAL MOMENT OF THE DAY

All eyes have been focused on Fox’s coverage and the increasingly combative dynamic between co-pundits Thierry Henry, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alexi Lalas in the studio, but things took an interesting twist on Saturday when the Sweden legend decided that he was going to take Rebecca Lowe’s slot as ‘the host’.

‘It’s not an act, I’m the host,’ Zlatan deadpanned when Lowe attempted to explain the scenario, before Ibrahimovic posed probing questions about the upcoming Colombia versus Portugal clash, before adding that he ‘doesn’t read prompts’ in an increasingly surreal segment.

‘Can you get me a cup of tea, please?’ he then asked Lowe as she applauded his brief role as host, before adding: ‘After one month, I’m going to be the President of America’.

Stranger things have happened!

PICTURE OF THE DAY

It may have taken some time to pick Panama’s lock, but when England did, there was no stopping them.

Most meaningful however was Harry Kane’s goal to double the Three Lions’ lead – in scoring his 11th at a finals in England’s colours, he became his country’s all-time highest goal-scorer at the World Cup.

STAT OF THE DAY

In a World Cup burnished by ageing stars, few have such ‘fine wine’ bonafides as Croatia’s Luka Modric.

Beating Ghana to qualify second in Group L, the former Real Madrid midfielder provided an assist for his team-mate Nikola Vlasic’s winner – and in doing so, at 40 years and 291 days old, Modric became the oldest to do so since records began in 1966.

Onto the knock-out stages.

THREE THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR TODAY

1. Right-backs dropping like flies

England fans will have their eyes peeled for further news on the severity of Jarrell Quansah’s ankle injury.

With Reece James already out of action due to a hamstring problem, Quansah limped off in the second half against Panama and is also a major doubt for Wednesday.

‘It was a classic ankle twist and he is in pain,’ said Tuchel, who has already seen full-back Tino Livramento withdraw from the squad with a calf issue.

‘He said he had it before and it was a matter of days. He hopes that it stays like this but at the moment it’s just too painful, so he has his leg up high, and compression and ice.’

Jarrell Quansah is facing a race against time to be fit again for England

2. Iran to exit quietly?

Iran have been incredibly strong in their condemnation of FIFA and the USA for what they perceived to be unfair treatment at the World Cup.

The team’s World Cup campaign has been dogged by travel and visa restrictions as well as weeks of mudslinging between Iranian officials and US authorities.

Now their elimination has been cruelly confirmed by Austria’s draw with Algeria, it seems unlikely Iran will quietly exit stage left…

3. Studying the bracket

Now we finally have the final 32 teams confirmed and knockout fixtures locked in, everyone will be poring over the bracket to see how the next three weeks will unfold.

Argentina look as though they have a favourable run, starting with Cape Verde, then Australia or Egypt and then one of Colombia, Ghana, Algeria or Switzerland for a place in the semi-final (possibly against England).

Germany and France are on a collision course for the last 16, as are the Spanish and the Portuguese.

It will be fascinating to see how the odds have shifted now we know the routes to the final.

TODAY’S GAME

South Africa v Canada (8pm, Los Angeles)

In a quirk of scheduling, the powers that be have decided that, instead of a day of rest between a frantic end to the group stage and the round of 32, we have one solitary tie as our curtain-raiser. No, I’m not sure about that either.

But after avoiding the drop by the skin of their teeth, South Africa should be well up for their tie against the co-hosts who, in another quirk of scheduling, won’t have any more fixtures on home soil.

This is the first time that Bafana Bafana have qualified for the World Cup knockout stages, but their uneven form should see Canada continue their travails in the tournament as the slight favourites.

NB. BBC and ITV will decide who hosts which fixtures in the Round of 32 later today

Nigerian Businesswoman Reveals Shocking Details of ₦2 Million Business Proposition

A Nigerian entrepreneur recently recounted her disheartening experience, where a man offered her ₦2 million for a night together but refused her request for a ₦500,000 loan to invest in her business.

She shared her story on social media, sparking a range of reactions from the public.

The businesswoman expressed frustration that the man preferred spending a larger amount for personal intentions over aiding her endeavor with a significantly smaller sum.

She reflected on the situation, highlighting the contrasting priorities demonstrated by the man’s actions, where personal gain triumphed over the opportunity to support her professional aspirations.

“So you cannot give me 500,000 Naira to add to my business, but you want to give me 2 million Naira to sleep with me…” she expressed with disappointment.

Revolutionizing Beach Safety: NSW Invests $34 Million in AI-Driven Shark-Spotting Drones

0

A new initiative deploying a fleet of drones will soon keep a watchful eye over New South Wales (NSW) beaches from sunrise to sunset, utilizing artificial intelligence as a promising, long-term strategy for enhancing beach safety.

NSW Premier Chris Minns has announced that the government will allocate an additional $34 million to significantly increase drone surveillance along the beaches of Sydney and the entire state coastline.

This decision comes in the wake of a tragic incident involving a great white shark, where a woman was attacked while swimming between the flags at the popular Coogee Beach in Sydney on June 13.

The victim, 34-year-old teacher Leah Stewart, sustained critical injuries and subsequently underwent surgery resulting in the amputation of her arm.

Announced Sunday, the expanded surveillance program will include 72 beaches, ensuring that at least one beach in each coastal local government area is monitored throughout the entire year by these drone patrols.

“No one can promise a shark mitigation program that can guarantee that there will be zero encounters with sharks,” Minns told reporters at Cronulla.

“But our plan here is to reduce the risk for swimmers and surfers in NSW beaches by using the latest technology … so that you get earlier warning if you’re in the water that there is a shark in the vicinity.”

The program could eventually culminate in the use of autonomous, AI-enabled drones, rather than human-controlled craft.

Two trials of the technology are due to take place during summer.

“We want to use old technology and we want to use new technology,” Minns said.

“When we can roll out automated drones and AI-assisted monitoring, (it) will make a big difference … because we’ll be able to identify and distinguish between different kinds of marine life for the first time.”

Beaches with high numbers of water users will be prioritised for the additional monitoring.

The bolstered surveillance will kick off on Wednesday and include year-round coverage of all of Sydney’s main beaches.

Some 500,000 drone flights were expected to be logged annually, Surf Life Saving NSW head Steve Pearce said while pointing to a drone being tested overhead.

“This is just one of a fleet of drones … that will be rolled out, up and down the NSW coastline, that allows our pilots to pilot drones hundreds of kilometres away from where they’re actually situated,” he said.

Controversial shark nets will be retained at some beaches, but they will be fortified by aerial surveillance.

Humane World for Animals Australia marine biologist Lawrence Chlebeck welcomed the world-leading commitment to drones, which he said were the best way to watch for sharks and reduce the risk of bites.

But he urged the government to scrap shark nets because they entangle other animals and are considered outdated and ineffective by the scientific community.

The nets, which are removed during the winter whale migration season, will be reinstalled in September.

A fundraiser to cover Stewart’s medical procedures and help her family has garnered more than $500,000 in donations.

The 34-year-old mother spent a week on life support and endured multiple surgeries but has been taken off the critical list.

The attack reignited calls to cull shark populations to protect swimmers, but Minns said great whites could not be targeted as they were a protected species.

Nico Antic, 12, was fatally attacked by a shark while swimming with friends near a popular beach at Vaucluse, in Sydney’s east, in January.

Surfer Mercury Psillakis, 57, died after being bitten by a shark at Long Reef beach, in the city’s north, in September.

Taylor Swift’s Wedding: Guest List Kept Under Wraps

0

The air is buzzing with excitement as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce prepare to exchange vows next week. Despite the anticipation surrounding their upcoming wedding, the details remain a closely guarded secret, leaving even the guests in suspense about the exact location of the ceremony.

These eagerly awaited festivities are ready to unfold just before the Fourth of July in New York City. The 36-year-old Grammy-winning sensation, Swift, has initiated the countdown to what promises to be a remarkable celebration.

Yet, as reported by Us Weekly, the mystery deepens. Despite their VIP status, attendees continue to wait in suspense, having received no updates on the venue details.

Insiders have disclosed that Taylor and Travis have only informed their guests to head to New York City. No additional information regarding the precise venue has been shared, keeping fans and guests alike eagerly guessing.

Invitees have been given a date, instructed to be in the city on July 2 and July 3, but beyond these instructions, the intriguing silence about the wedding’s location continues, adding an extra layer of suspense to the much-anticipated event.

The A-list couple are ‘putting their guests on hold for a couple days,’ the source said, before claiming that they have spent ‘millions’ on the wedding.

Is keeping wedding details secret respectful to guests or just celebrity excess?

Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Swift for comment, but did not immediately hear back.

Sources previously claimed to the Daily Mail that guests who received an invitation are being required to sign an NDA before receiving information in regards to the wedding.

Family and close friends of the couple are also allegedly being asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement.

Those who RSVP are then sent a link to the NDA which requires guests to not disclose information about the wedding

And details in regards to Swift’s wedding dress were recently revealed earlier this week.

The star is expected to wear multiple outfits over the course of the wedding weekend which takes place over the Fourth of July holiday, per Page Six.

A source claimed to the outlet that a number of custom dresses have been made for the Love Story songstress to choose from.

Designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia of the New York-based brand Monse are included in the running. The duo were recently co-creative directors of Oscar de la Renta until their exit in February.

And Swift herself is no stranger to the brand. On Tuesday, the performer made a surprise appearance at Kelce’s Tight End University event in Nashville.

As she took to the stage to belt out hits for the attendees, Swift wowed in a sleeveless black Monse dress with shimmering silver details along the hem.

The star also opted for an eye-catching Oscar de la Renta gown from Kim and Garcia’s collection for the brand as she attended close friend Selena Gomez’s wedding last year.

Swift had given a glimpse of the $36,990 nude-colored dress which was made of shimmering sequin and floral details.

She has worn Oscar de la Renta other times in the past including for the Met Gala and other red carpet events. The brand, which had been helmed by Kim and Garcia at the time, also made striking costumes for Swift during her Eras Tour.

A source also told Page Six that Swift will most likely not stop by a fashion house for fittings.

Instead, designers will use a mannequin with the singer’s exact measurements when it comes to making custom dresses for the big day.

Back in April, a separate insider claimed to the Daily Mail that Swift’s wedding dress could be inspired by Elizabeth Taylor’s gown during her 1950 wedding to Conrad Hilton.

The star also included a song titled Elizabeth Taylor on her 2025 album The Life Of A Showgirl.

Swift and Kelce have also allegedly enlisted the bride’s old friends Stevie Nicks and Tim McGraw to perform at their wedding.

The Daily Mail reported earlier this month that the pop star and the NFL player will throw a wedding function at Madison Square Garden next Friday, July 3.

Whispers circulated this week that the couple are planning a smaller gathering for about 100 intimates at the arena on Thursday, July 2, followed by a more extravagant affair with roughly 1,000 attendees the next night, via the New York Times.

Now insiders have claimed McGraw and Nicks will play a ‘Wedding-palooza’ one source characterized as ‘bigger than the Met Gala,’ per Page Six.

Swift first rose to fame in 2006 with a wistful song called Tim McGraw, which became the lead single of her self-titled debut album.

Daily Mail also contacted Swift’s reps for comment, but have yet to hear back.

Then in 2007, while she was establishing herself as a pop idol, Swift opened on tour for McGraw and his wife and fellow country star Faith Hill.

Meanwhile Swift is a longtime friend and admirer of Nicks, who is best known for her work as the frontwoman of the iconic rock band Fleetwood Mac.

Earlier this month, Swift went viral for wearing a Stevie Nicks t-shirt to Madison Square Garden while attending Game 4 of the NBA Finals.

Nicks has praised Swift as enthusiastically as vice versa, and was especially effusive about the younger singer’s 2022 song You’re on Your Own, Kid.

Sources claimed this week that the smaller gathering that Swift and Kelce are holding at Madison Square Garden next Thursday is in fact a rehearsal dinner, per Page Six.

One industry insider mused that ‘I think it’s possible’ the couple have already officially exchanged vows in advance of next week’s functions.

News broke this week that a local event planning company has filed for permits to close the streets around Madison Square Garden from July 2 to midday July 4, requesting sufficient space for trucks, canopies and tents.

New York’s City Hall confirmed the existence of the permit application and indicated the event will include between 500 and 999 attendees.

A city official purportedly briefed on the plans went as far as to disclose that ‘wedding festivities’ were being prepared at Madison Square Garden on July 3.

Players for Kelce’s NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, are said by a source to have booked rooms at the Marriott Marquis in Midtown Manhattan next week.

An insider informed the Daily Mail in early June that Swift and Kelce had embraced the idea of a ‘spectacle’ wedding and selected Madison Square Garden as the venue.

At that stage, talks were purportedly already underway with the New York Police Department (NYPD) about how to ensure the arena’s safety on the appointed date.

Last year in August, Kelce popped the big question and Swift shared photos from the intimate engagement on Instagram with the caption: ‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.’

The sports player had turned his backyard in Kansas City into a secret garden wonderland, which offered a romantic atmosphere.

He had asked Swift to marry him shortly after they recorded an episode of his New Heights podcast together.

Backlash Erupts Over World Cup Journalist Abigail Velez’s ‘Insensitive’ Remarks on Bosnia Before USA Match

A renowned reporter from California found herself in hot water after making “insensitive” jokes about Bosnia-Herzegovina during World Cup coverage. After considerable backlash, she was compelled to apologize, acknowledging that she had taken her humor “too far.”

Abigail Velez from ABC7 Los Angeles was reporting from a lively viewing party on the streets of Long Beach, California, on Thursday. She was providing updates on the U.S. national team’s journey following their 3-2 loss to Turkey, including news about America’s next match opponent.

During her coverage, Velez remarked, “In the upcoming round, Team USA will face Bosnia next Wednesday, and to be honest, I couldn’t locate Bosnia on a map. I know nothing about the place, and frankly, I don’t feel the need to know because Team USA is back and stronger than ever.”

Since joining the station in November 2025, Velez has made a name for herself. During her report, she doubled down, telling the nation in southeastern Europe to brace itself for the forthcoming competition with the U.S.

“Mark your calendars for next Wednesday. Get ready, Bosnia, because you might not want this battle, but it’s coming, like it or not. See you next Wednesday,” she concluded before turning the broadcast back to the studio.

Bosnian fans were quick to call out Velez for the report.

“My goodness, the stereotypes write themselves……” X account Bosnian Football wrote, alongside a clip of Velez’s report.

“Some competitive talk is always fun, but that’s not the way to do it,” another user wrote.

“The weirdest things about Americans is that they feel it’s like a flex to say “I don’t even know where they are on a map,” a third said.

Velez apologized on Saturday for “poor effort to have a little fun,” explaining the segment was supposed to be a light-hearted report that got out of hand.

“In a poor effort to have a little fun with World Cup competition, I took it too far and made a thoughtless comment on air that was insensitive and inappropriate,” Velez wrote on X. “I apologize to the people of Bosnia and the Bosnian Football team.

“The World Cup is supposed to be about uniting communities around the world, and my comment didn’t reflect that spirit,” she added. “Wishing all the teams the very best as they continue their World Cup journey.”

USMNT and Bosnia-Herzegovina will meet at San Francisco Bay Area Stadium on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.

The US finished group play 2-0-1, finishing on top of the Group D table with 6 points and earning the group’s number one spot.

Bosnia finished third in Group B play with four points after going 1-1-1, but qualified for the knock-out round after being one of the best third-place teams.
