Alvarez has scored 49 goals in 107 games for Atletico after joining from Manchester City in 2024 for £81million.

Although reports have suggested Barcelona are Alvarez’s preferred destination, Atletico’s stance could open the door to a move to Arsenal, with the Argentine not ruling out that option after being left stunned by the reaction of his own fans on Sunday.

Atletico have remained steadfast in their position that he is not for sale throughout the summer, with CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin saying last month that the club would not entertain any offers for the striker, even in the region of £170million, although it is believed an offer of around €150m (£130m) from the Gunners could be accepted.

Alvarez has a £428m release clause and Atletico have already rejected a £129m bid from bitter rivals Real Madrid.

Marca adds that Atletico are frustrated with the situation after Alvarez rejected the offer of a bumper new deal in March, while he also refused to adhere to their deadline for a summer move of June 20.

The saga has continually grown since Alvarez’s comments during the World Cup when he expressed his desire to leave the LaLiga outfit in order to ‘fulfil my dream’.

‘I try to be an honest person,’ he said while representing his nation. ‘I spoke with the people at Atletico Madrid, and I think the best thing for everyone is a transfer. I want to fulfil my dream.’

Speaking earlier on Wednesday, Barcelona president Joan Laporta added further fuel to the fire when he insisted the Catalan side were still desperate to bring in Alvarez after reports circulated about him joining Arsenal.

‘This whole situation has created a lot of noise,’ he said. ‘This is not motivated by actions taken by Barca. It is motivated by the fact that Atletico told us they were not selling (Alvarez).

‘However, it looks like, from what we hear now (Atletico reportedly being open to selling Alvarez to Arsenal), they are trying to reach agreements with other clubs.

‘We approach them to see if they want to sell one of their players. When they tell us they don’t sell, we let it go. But in this case, there are special circumstances that have been made aware that Atletico de Madrid want to sell the player to other clubs.

‘With this context, our interest and offer for the player remains up until the end of the window, in case Atletico de Madrid want to sell the player. We are very interested in buying Julian Alvarez.’

During Sunday’s game, the encounter was simmering with tension before Alvarez came on as a second-half substitute as he was booed while warming up, jeered again when his name was announced among the substitutes and met with louder whistles when he came on in the 66th minute.

A section of the crowd also chanted: ‘Let him leave once and for all, let him leave.’

As the full-time whistle came, the hostility grew even more as the 26-year-old headed straight to the changing room while his team-mates saluted the fans, drawing another heavy round of boos.

Discussing the situation in his post-match press conference, Atletico boss Diego Simeone revealed it was actually the club’s decision for Alvarez to not acknowledge supporters.

‘The club staff told me that the club decided Julian should not go over with his team-mates to greet the fans, and that it was not Julian’s decision.

‘The club made the decision to keep him away and have him head to the dressing room. No, I’m not in a position to give advice to the fans. I think I need to focus on my work, which is to give my best on the sporting side for the good of Atletico Madrid.

‘The only thing I know is that if Atletico Madrid wants to win a title, we have to be united. We need forwards, and we need important forwards.

‘For that, of course, we all have to work in that direction to give the team what it needs.’

Bear Crawl

“The bear crawl challenges your core while your body is moving, so it’s a good example of functional strength rather than simply holding a static position,” Pontes explains. “This is a great exercise for developing stability throughout your body as multiple muscle groups work together to keep your body stable. It also helps build your coordination and shoulder strength while challenging you to stay balanced.”

  1. Begin in a quadruped position with your knees under your hips and your hands under your shoulders.
  2. Lift your knees a few inches off the ground while keeping your core engaged and your back flat.
  3. Move your left hand and right foot forward.
  4. Then, move your right hand and left foot forward.
  5. Continue to “crawl,” maintaining steady breath and a tight core throughout.

Yet, craving a regular presence on the show, he eagerly took on the role of the Joker, just as Curry’s exit opened the opportunity.

The transition was no small feat, as Hamill had to deliver the Joker’s lines within the constraints of animations already tailored to Curry’s performance. Romano lauded Hamill’s remarkable ability to adapt quickly, stating, “introducing such a dynamic character like the Joker under those conditions was immensely challenging.” With unwavering passion and undeniable talent, Hamill brought to life a rendition of the Joker that would become legendary, turning the Jedi himself into the perfect Clown Prince of Crime.

Tragic Alaska Plane Crash Claims Four Lives in Remote Waters Near Isolated Town

Tragedy struck on Wednesday as a small plane plunged into the shallow waters near a secluded Alaskan coastal town, claiming the lives of all four individuals onboard, according to officials.

The ill-fated aircraft, identified as a Piper PA-24-260, had embarked on its journey from Merrill Field Airport in Anchorage, destined for the rustic town of Seldovia. The Alaska Department of Public Safety reported that the crash occurred at approximately 1:18 p.m.

Located roughly 136 miles southwest of Anchorage, Seldovia’s airport was the intended destination of the flight.

A statement revealed, “Alaska State Troopers received notification of a plane crash occurring in the Seldovia Slough area.”

A helicopter crew from Anchorage was dispatched to the crash site and other troopers were sent by boat from Anchor Point.

Following the crash, the plane was completely submerged in about 15 feet of water in the Seldovia Slough near the shore, according to Clint Johnson, the National Transportation Safety Board’s Alaska region chief.

Troopers were forced to wait until the tide went out in order to reach the aircraft.

Once the tide level dropped at about 6:30 p.m., troopers were able to retrieve the bodies of the four adult victims from the plane.

The bodies will be sent to the state medical examiner’s office for autopsy. The victims’ names will be released once next of kin are notified, according to the Alaska Department of Public Safety.

It remains unclear what may have caused the crash.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.

This comes after another plane crashed last week at a remote military site in western Alaska, killing all eight people on board. That aircraft had been making its second runway approach in heavy fog, and its pilots were struggling to see the gravel airstrip, according to officials.

In that incident, the Cessna’s two pilots were flying solely by instruments when the plane crashed. Regulations required that the pilots abort their first landing attempt because of the lack of visibility, and the plane crashed on its second attempt, about one-third of a mile from the runway.

Strange and translucent “jumping sticks” have been appearing along Florida’s Space Coast, sparking curiosity and leaving people wondering: just what are these mysterious sea creatures?

The sight of these 1-inch-long, animated critters captivated a beachgoer as they strolled near Indialantic Boardwalk, as covered by FOX 35 WOFL.

“Their vigorous, hopping movements immediately caught my attention,” shared Diana Duby with WOFL.

Initially guessing they might be baby eels, Duby wasn’t far from the truth, according to Dr. Todd Osborne, a marine biology specialist at the University of Florida’s Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience.

Dr. Osborne confirmed to WOFL that these creatures are indeed part of the same leptocephalus family.

“That little clear thing — that could be an eel, a tarpon, several different tarpon, bonefish, ladyfish,” Dr. Osborne said.

“They all fall under this class, the same order and they all have the same growth morphology as larvae, which is really cool.”

The mysterious organisms are so young that identifying their exact species is nearly impossible without further investigation.

One person’s chance encounter with the drifting, translucent organisms highlights how much remains unknown about Florida’s coastal marine ecosystems.

“We’ve been cataloging things in the ocean for a couple hundred years, and we still have no idea about what is going on out there,” Dr. Osborne told WOFL.

In response to these statements, Peller accused Carterefe of being manipulative, suggesting he continuously seeks opportunities to provoke and engage others online. Peller alleged that Carterefe exploits those around him to draw attention and ride the waves of internet popularity.

Peller also reminisced about an instance where Carterefe supposedly made snide comparisons about their camera equipment — Carterefe purchased one for ₦9 million, while fans of Peller gifted him a more expensive one valued at ₦20 million.

Moreover, Peller accused Carterefe of advising him against attending Kai Cenat’s Streamer University, only to then submit his own application.

Peller further alleged that Carterefe would ask him to stop his own streams so they could stream on Carterefe’s Twitch account whenever Peller was attracting about 7,000 viewers. He also claimed that Carterefe repeatedly advised him to leave Jarvis during their private conversations.

In his words in part, he said:

Man Allegedly Uses Forged Signature of Chief Justice Roberts in Attempt to Dismiss His Criminal Case

In a shocking twist of legal drama, federal charges have been filed against a man accused of employing a forged signature of Chief Justice John Roberts in a fraudulent Supreme Court order. The order allegedly aimed to dismiss his own criminal case in Indiana, as revealed by court documents.

The man, identified as Joshua M. Culver, allegedly used the alias “Maverick A. Young” and was apprehended in Colorado last Friday. His arrest followed an indictment by a federal grand jury in Indiana, which charged him with four counts of impersonating a U.S. officer or employee. Additionally, he faces charges related to the use of a forged signature of a federal judge and a counterfeit court seal.

Federal prosecutors claim that on September 24, 2025, Culver filed a deceptive document, labeled “Order of Dismissal With Prejudice,” in an ongoing criminal case against him at the Grant County Superior Court in Indiana.

According to the indictment, the document used a forged signature of Roberts and a counterfeit U.S. Supreme Court seal in an effort to authenticate the purported dismissal order.

The alleged scheme involving the nation’s highest court was not Culver’s first attempt to pass himself off as a federal official, prosecutors say.

Five days before the alleged Roberts forgery, Culver allegedly posed as a National Security Agency agent while contacting the Tippecanoe County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the indictment, Culver used his purported authority as an NSA agent to make requests that prosecutors say the sheriff’s office otherwise would not have fulfilled, including asking deputies to conduct a welfare check on his biological daughter and provide information about her location.

Culver also allegedly sought the names and information of sheriff’s office employees and claimed he could take “adverse action” against the department in his purported capacity as an NSA agent.

The following day, on Sept. 20, 2025, Culver allegedly called the workplace of an individual identified in the indictment only as “Individual A.”

Prosecutors say he falsely identified himself as a federal agent, claimed the person was “obstructing a federal investigation of a child kidnapping” and represented that he could have the individual arrested for committing a federal felony.

He also allegedly asked the person’s employer to intervene to obtain the individual’s cooperation.

Months later, in January 2026, Culver allegedly portrayed himself as a “Special Master enforcing orders of the United States Supreme Court” in a communication sent to the Lake County clerk and directed to a Superior Court judge.

Prosecutors allege Culver claimed he had the authority to issue orders and warrants while demanding that the judge and court personnel take several actions, including making changes to vital records and dismissing cases and judgments against him.

The indictment alleges Culver also warned that if officials failed to comply, he and U.S. Marshals would make arrests for “impeding a federal agent, lying to a federal agent, and conspiracy.”

Then, in February, Culver allegedly assumed yet another federal identity, this time portraying himself as the “Director of Tailored Access Operations,” which the indictment describes as a purported intelligence agency.

Prosecutors allege Culver filed a document titled “OFFICIAL SENSITIVE: TAILORED ACCESS OPERATIONS (TAO) COMPLIANCE DIRECTIVE” in Lake County Superior Court in a case pending against him.

The document, which purported to bear official letterhead, allegedly described Culver as a “federal asset” involved in multiple investigations and demanded that officials take a series of actions under a purported “federal directive.”

Those demands included dismissing the case against Culver with prejudice, quashing warrants and requiring Lake County officials to cooperate with a purported “federal audit,” according to the indictment.

Bloomberg Law reported that Culver was arrested Aug. 21 and that the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the District of Colorado was appointed to represent him.
