DCLM Daily Manna 12 May 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — High Price Of Redemption

TOPIC: High Price Of Redemption (DCLM Daily Manna 12 May 2026)

KEY VERSE: Save thyself, and come down from the cross – Mark 15:30

TEXT: Mark 15:27-32 (KJV)

27 And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.

28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.

29 And they that passed by railed on him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days,

30 Save thyself, and come down from the cross.

31 Likewise also the chief priests mocking said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others; himself he cannot save.

32 Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

It was around 1941 when Nazi brutality was getting to its height that a Polish Franciscan Priest named Maximilian Kolbe became the symbol of sacrificial death for others during World War II. The inspiring incident happened in the Auschwitz concentration camp, when he voluntarily took the place of a fellow prisoner, Franciszek Gajowniczek, who was condemned to die. Kolbe offered his life so that Gajowniczek, a husband and father, could live. This monumental and inspiring act is now tagged: “The Sacrifice of Maximilian Kolbe (1941)”.

Apart from the iconic sacrifice of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ Himself, this relatable story has inspired generations of believers and missionaries to consider nothing too precious to give up in order to rescue people from impending damnation. There have been countless number of missionaries that have paid the supreme price in South America, Africa, Asia and elsewhere. Others faced the harshness of the Iron Curtain nations in the Communist era, and confronted other hostile communities in an attempt to share Christ’s gospel of redemption.

Kolbe’s act of selfless love and sacrifice no doubt mirrors the infinitely greater redemptive love of Christ that believers must model. Of course, the narratives in the New Testament and the actual historical event of His passion, agonising prayer at Gethsemane, betrayal by one of His close disciples, His kangaroo court trials, cruel treatment, mocking and eventual crucifixion, only affirm His sacrificial love for mankind.

It is said that when Jesus was nailed to the cross, our sin was also nailed there. He was punished so that we will be set free from condemnation. He died so that we can live. As prophetically revealed in the Scripture, Christ paid a high price for our salvation. There are a few lessons we need to take away from this meditation. These include our obligation to reciprocate that sacrifice through our unconditional love for Christ and His sheep; our total submission to His perfect will; our commitment to take the gospel message to others, lest His suffering and death at Calvary be a waste in the lives of those who may perish without hearing and receiving the good news.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Christ paid the high price that makes salvation free to all sinners.

Rhapsody Of Realities 12 May 2026: The Complete Revelation Of God’s Love

Rhapsody Of Realities 12 May 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): The Complete Revelation Of God’s Love

TOPIC: The Complete Revelation Of God’s Love (Rhapsody of Realities 12 May 2026)

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love (1 John 4:8).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

Many people have their own definition of love because the word love has been there even before Jesus came. People used it in their daily language. It was not created when Jesus arrived. Even in the Greek expression, love, which is translated “agape,” was a known word; they used it in their daily conversations, so they already had their idea of love.

But the Lord Jesus Christ is the true definition of God’s love. He was the visible manifestation and expression of the love of God when He walked the earth. The Bible says God is love; that love was tabernacled in human flesh and manifested to us in the person of Jesus. When He walked the earth, it was love walking, talking, touching and changing lives.
When He entered the temple and preached, He was God’s love preaching. When He healed the sick, He was God’s love healing them. Even when He made whips and overturned the tables of the money changers in the temple, that was God’s love in manifestation.

Make no mistakes about it, your human definition of love will never decide for God what love is. Jesus Christ was God’s love come to us in the flesh. John 1:14 says, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”

Fully God and fully man, He embodied everything love is. Therefore, to know love, you must know the Lord Jesus. To understand love, you must see it through Him. He is the perfect and complete revelation of God’s love to humanity.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for revealing your love to me in Christ Jesus. I walk in the consciousness of your love, expressing it with wisdom, truth and power. My life reflects the love of Christ in action, bringing healing, righteousness and transformation to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Romans 5:8 (KJV) But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

1 John 4:9-11 (KJV) In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. [10] Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. [11] Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

Hantavirus Confirmed in Another Evacuee from Cruise Ship

0

Spain’s health ministry has confirmed that another individual evacuated from a cruise ship affected by hantavirus has contracted the disease.

The infected person, a Spanish national among 14 individuals quarantined at a military hospital in Madrid following their evacuation from the MV Hondius, tested positive for the rat-borne virus on Monday, despite not exhibiting any symptoms.

This brings the total to three passengers who have tested positive for the disease after returning to their respective countries.

On the same day, a symptom-free American and a French citizen were also confirmed to have the virus. Authorities continue to reassure the public that the likelihood of a widespread outbreak remains low.

According to the French government, the French woman’s condition has worsened significantly, and she is now in a serious condition due to hantavirus.

And a second American national on Sunday’s repatriation flight has also shown mild symptoms, according to the US health department, who added that both passengers travelled back in ‘biocontainment units out of an abundance of caution’.

The cruise ship left Tenerife for the Netherlands on Monday after its final six passengers – four Australians, one Briton and one New Zealander – and some crew members were evacuated.

Three people – a Dutch couple and a German woman – have died after travelling on the vessel, two of whom were confirmed to have had the virus.

More than 90 of the passengers and crew of the Hondius were sent home on Sunday, after being escorted from the ship to shore by personnel in full-body protective gear and breathing masks.

After all passengers disembarked from the vessel, it sail for the Netherlands late on Monday evening, with 25 crew as well as a doctor and a nurse, and is expected to arrive on May 17.

Those remaining onboard include 17 people from the Philippines, four from the Netherlands (including the two medical staff), four from Ukraine, one from Russia and one from Poland.

It comes as a Dutch hospital in the city of Nijmegen treating a hantavirus patient quarantined 12 staffers in a preventative measure – after blood and urine were handled without updated and more strict protocols.

‘We will carefully investigate the course of events to learn from this so that it can be prevented in the future,’ said Bertine Lahuis, the chair of the Radboudumc hospital’s executive board.

Staff will be in isolation for six weeks.

The French woman who tested positive for the virus reported symptoms to doctors onboard the cruise but was told they were likely just anxiety, according to the Spanish health minister.

She had been suffering from flu-like symptoms but they appeared to be easing, and she did not have a fever, Javier Padilla said.

But despite the deaths of three people who had been onboard the ship, doctors from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) and the Spanish foreign health service dismissed her symptoms as anxiety or stress, he added.

‘They were not thinking that these symptoms were compatible with hantavirus. Why? Because what she was telling [them] was [that she had] an episode of coughing some days ago that had disappeared, and what she was having at that moment was kind of like stress or anxiety or nervousness. So it was not catalogued [as hantavirus],’ Padilla said.

The four other French nationals repatriated from the ship have been ‘immediately placed in strict isolation until further notice’, French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu said.

Hantaviruses are usually spread by wild rodents, but human transmission of the rare Andes strain is possible through close contact.

Symptoms can include shortness of breath, fever, extreme fatigue, muscle aches, stomach pain, vomiting, and diarrhoea.

Seven cases of the Andes hantavirus have now been confirmed among people who were passengers on board the cruise ship, the World Health Organisation (WHO) said on Monday.

Despite reports from the US Department of Health and Human Services on Sunday that one of the 17 repatriated Americans tested mildly positive for the lethal Andes strain of hantavirus, the WHO and Spanish Government disregarded these findings.

The Spanish health ministry said that the US citizen’s tests in Cape Verde gave a result considered by the Americans as a ‘weak positive’, ‘although for us it was not conclusive’, and another that was negative, the ministry said.

‘The person in question did not show symptoms when they were in Cape Verde. However, the US authorities have decided to treat the case as positive. For that reason, they requested a separate evacuation, which was carried out in a separate boat,’ the ministry added.

This brings the number of confirmed cases to seven, including a Dutch woman and a German woman who died, a Briton hospitalised in South Africa, a Briton hospitalised in the Netherlands, a Dutch man also in the Netherlands, a Swiss national and a French national.

WHO has listed two other ‌suspected cases – the Dutch man who died before being tested, and the British national on Tristan da Cunha, a remote South Atlantic island where there were no tests available.

Another British national who was previously hospitalised with hantavirus in South Africa after falling ill on the cruise is ‘clinically improving’, a health ministry spokesperson said.

The third British man with a confirmed case is 56-year-old Martin Anstee, a former police officer, who is receiving treatment in the Netherlands after working on the cruise ship.

UK Prime Minister Starmer Faces Political Turmoil Amid Local Election Setbacks

0

UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is currently fighting to uphold his leadership as pressure mounts from his party and numerous close aides resign.

The call for his resignation has grown louder, with more than 70 Labor MPs openly urging Starmer to step down. Reports indicate that several parliamentary aides have also resigned in protest.

This internal revolt emerges at a pivotal time for Starmer, whose leadership has been undermined by political and economic challenges.

The immediate catalyst for this upheaval was the severe losses in the local elections on May 8. During these elections, Labor suffered significant setbacks, losing hundreds of council seats across England, ceding long-standing strongholds in Wales, and falling behind competitors in Scotland.

Keir Starmer

Despite the pressure, Sir Keir Starmer remains determined to retain his position, even as calls for his resignation intensify from within the Labor Party.

A recent YouGov poll also found that around half of Britons believe Starmer should step down.

At the same time, rising U.K. borrowing costs have added to concerns about the government’s economic and public service policies and not easing living costs.

Starmer was also hurt by his decision to appoint Peter Mandelson, a friend of Jeffrey Epstein, as Britain’s ambassador to Washington, the Associated Press reported.

In Scotland, Labor’s difficulties were laid bare as John Swinney secured a decisive victory, dealing a further blow to Starmer’s authority.

The result drew attention from President Donald Trump, who publicly congratulated Swinney and appeared to take a swipe at Starmer.

Trump and Starmer’s relationship had become strained, with the president saying, “This is not Winston Churchill that we’re dealing with,” blasting the U.K. leader’s reluctance to let U.S. warplanes use its bases after the start of the war against Iran.

Meanwhile, Starmer struck a defiant tone in what has been termed a “reset” speech on Monday, insisting he would not resign.

“I take responsibility for not walking away, not plunging our country into chaos, as the Tories did,” he said.

Sam Carlin, one of the MPs calling for change, said Starmer was “not the right person” to revive the struggling party.

“As a result, I join Labor colleagues from across the United Kingdom in urging the prime minister to step down for the sake of our movement and the people we serve,” he said.

“We have made so much progress, but if we remain on our current course, it will not last.”

Former minister Catherine West led efforts to formalize the challenge, calling for a timetable to elect a new leader as early as September.

Three figures are seen as frontrunners to succeed Starmer.

Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham would need to return to Parliament to mount a bid, while Angela Rayner continues to contend with the fallout from past tax issues.

Health Secretary Wes Streeting is viewed as a more immediate contender.

Under Labor rules, a leadership contest can be triggered if sufficient backing coalesces behind a challenger, typically through nominations from MPs and affiliated groups.

If Starmer were to resign, the party would move into a formal contest period, culminating in a vote among members.

Revitalize Your Core: 5 Morning Exercises to Flatten Your Stomach Faster Than Gym Machines for Those Over 60

For those over 60 looking to achieve a flatter stomach, the answer isn’t found in intense workouts on gym machines. Instead, it’s about training your core to function as intended. Many gym machines focus on isolated movements and minimize the need for stabilizing muscles, which can limit the engagement of the deeper abdominal muscles. Having worked with clients in this age group for many years, I’ve seen the best results come from straightforward, controlled exercises performed consistently. Morning routines are particularly effective, as they harness the body’s natural reset to maximize responsiveness.

Exercising in the morning offers a distinct advantage by activating your core early on, which can improve posture and enhance movement control throughout the day. By prioritizing exercise first thing, you avoid the effects of stiffness and fatigue that can accumulate as the day progresses. Establishing a morning routine of strong movement patterns can yield rapid benefits.

The secret lies in the tension and control of the movements. Rapid repetitions won’t help flatten your stomach; instead, focus on slow, deliberate movements. By keeping the core engaged during each repetition, the muscles supporting your abdomen will gradually tighten and draw inward over time, contributing to a flatter appearance.

Morning training creates a powerful advantage. It activates the core early, improves posture for the rest of the day, and helps you move with better control from the start. Instead of waiting until later when stiffness builds or energy drops, you reinforce strong movement patterns right when you wake up. That consistency adds up quickly.

Another key factor involves tension. Fast reps don’t flatten the stomach: controlled, deliberate movement does. When the core stays engaged throughout each rep, the muscles that support the belly begin to tighten and pull inward over time.

The following exercises target the lower abs, obliques, and deep stabilizers using simple, effective movements you can perform right after waking up. Stay controlled, breathe steadily, and focus on keeping your core tight from start to finish.

Standing Knee Drives With Hold

Standing knee drives fire up the lower abdominal muscles while immediately challenging balance and coordination. I use this movement at the start of many morning routines because it wakes up the core without placing stress on the joints. When performed correctly, it forces the abdominal muscles to stabilize the body instead of relaxing between reps.

Driving the knee upward creates a strong contraction through the lower abs. Holding at the top increases time under tension and reinforces control. Over time, this builds the strength needed to support and flatten the lower belly while improving overall stability.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart
  • Lift one knee toward your chest
  • Hold for 2–3 seconds
  • Keep your core tight
  • Lower slowly and alternate.

Standing Cross-Body Crunch

This exercise brings the obliques into play while strengthening the entire abdominal wall. I rely on it because it helps pull the waist inward while improving rotational control, something many people lose over time.

Bringing the elbow toward the opposite knee creates a deep contraction across the midsection. Moving slowly keeps the muscles under tension longer, which increases effectiveness. Many clients feel immediate activation when done with control.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall with hands behind your head
  • Lift one knee across your body
  • Bring opposite elbow toward the knee
  • Return slowly
  • Alternate sides.

Forward Reach With Core Brace

This movement targets the deep core stabilizers that help pull the stomach inward. I include it often because it teaches the core to stay engaged during forward movement, a pattern you use constantly throughout the day.

Reaching forward while keeping your core tight forces the abdominal muscles to stabilize the spine. That sustained engagement builds strength in the deeper layers of the core, which leads to a flatter appearance over time.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall with arms extended forward
  • Tighten your core
  • Reach slightly forward from the hips
  • Return slowly
  • Repeat with control.

Alternating Heel Taps With Core Tightening

This movement increases core endurance while reinforcing steady engagement. I use it because it keeps the abdominal muscles active over time rather than working in short bursts.

Tapping one heel forward at a time forces the core to stabilize the body. Moving slowly increases time under tension and improves coordination. Over time, this builds endurance and control through the midsection.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart
  • Tap one heel forward
  • Keep your core tight
  • Return and alternate
  • Move slowly and steadily.

Standing March With Slow Tempo

This final movement ties everything together by building continuous activation through the core. I often finish routines with this because it reinforces steady engagement and improves control.

Each knee lift forces the core to stabilize and support the body. Performing the movement slowly keeps the muscles under tension and prevents them from relaxing between reps. Over time, this helps flatten and tighten the stomach.

How to Do It

  • Stand tall with feet hip-width apart
  • Lift one knee at a time
  • Move slowly and steadily
  • Keep your core engaged
  • Continue alternating.

Dodgers Struggle Persist as Offense and Pitching Stumble in Defeat to Giants

0

The Los Angeles Dodgers found themselves pointing fingers on Monday night as they faced a tough 9-3 defeat against the San Francisco Giants.

Their offensive struggles continued to hinder their performance, leaving the team in a slump. This defeat marked their 13th loss in the last 22 games, highlighting a period of inconsistency.

Not only did the offense stumble, but the pitching staff also faltered. Roki Sasaki struggled through his start, and a bullpen known for its reliability crumbled late in the game.

The turning point arrived in the seventh inning. With the game tied, the Giants seized the opportunity, scoring three runs against Alex Vesia. Vesia, who had surrendered just two runs all season prior, was caught off guard.

He gave up three consecutive one-out hits and then walked Rafael Devers with a full count, allowing the Giants to take the lead.

Will Klein replaced him on the mound trying to clean up the mess. Instead, he hung a two-strike, two-out sweeper to Willy Adames, who lined a two-run single to right to break the game open.

The sequence represented a rare meltdown from the Dodgers’ relief corps, which began the day with the fourth-best ERA in the majors.

But, given the dreadful recent form of the Dodgers’ struggling lineup, it was more than enough to put the game out of reach –– even on a night Mookie Betts returned from a strained oblique and went 1-for-5.

Up until the seventh, Monday had been a back-and-forth affair.

The Giants (17-24) scored first on a solo homer from Devers in the second inning, with the San Francisco slugger getting a hanging splitter at the end of an eight-pitch at-bat against Sasaki.

The Dodgers (24-17) answered back in the bottom of the fourth, manufacturing a couple runs from a bases-loaded, no-out opportunity.

The Giants retook the lead in the sixth, when the Dodgers stuck with Sasaki a little too long at the end of his five-plus-inning, three-run start. After escaping his own bases-loaded jam in the third, then retiring eight batters in a row with improved fastball command, Sasaki gave up three-straight hits to begin the sixth, including a two-run double Heliot Ramos pulled down the line.

That 3-2 advantage didn’t last long. In the bottom of the sixth, Max Muncy belted a leadoff home run, going the other way for his team-leading 11th long ball of the year.

However, the Giants would ultimately surge back in front again.

And once they did, the Dodgers couldn’t muster any more answers.

What it means

The Dodgers have repeatedly insisted their recent slide is something every team endures in a 162-game season.

Every time they suffer another result like Monday’s, however, that argument becomes tougher to keep making. Slowly but surely, bigger concerns continue to arise.

The biggest one right now remains the impotence of their offense. Though they racked up 10 hits Monday, only three were extra-base knocks. And amid their lack of slug, they haven’t been good situationally, either, going just 2-for-10 with runners in scoring position in this latest loss.

Add it all up, and the Dodgers have now scored three runs or fewer in 9 of their last 12 games –– eight of which have been losses.

To make matters worse: The team is now back in second place in the National League West, trailing the Padres by half a game.

Who’s hot

For the first time in a while, Teoscar Hernández.

Entering the night, the veteran slugger was hitting just .196 over his previous 26 games. He hadn’t recorded an extra-base knock since April 21.

Because of that, manager Dave Roberts dropped him to the No. 8 spot in the batting order, trying to shake things up for the two-time All-Star.

Then, right on cue, Hernández responded, going 2-for-3 with a third-inning double, plus an impressive sliding catch in left field on the first pitch of the game.

Who’s not

Shohei Ohtani … still.

Despite taking another round of pregame batting practice on the field (already his third time doing so this year), the slugger remained ice cold on Monday, going 0-for-5 to extend a recent 4-for-38 slump over his last 11 games.

Two of Ohtani’s outs came in situational opportunities, grounding out to second in both the third and sixth innings with a runner at second.

Those swings continued his problem of pulling the ball on the ground –– a key reason he has just one home run in his last 107 plate appearances.

On the season, Ohtani’s batting average is now down to .233 and his OPS to .767, his worst marks this late into a season since 2022.

Up next

The Dodgers and Giants continue this four-game series on Tuesday. Yoshinobu Yamamoto (3-2, 3.09) will face right-hander Adrian Houser (0-4, 6.19 ERA) on the mound.

Triumphant Victory: Brave 4-Year-Old Conquers Stage 3 Kidney Cancer in Heartwarming Bell-Ringing Ceremony

SAVANNAH, Ga. ()— In an inspiring turn of events, a young girl from the local area, aged just four, has overcome her battle with Wilms Tumor, a form of kidney cancer, after being diagnosed in September 2025. Remarkably, she is now celebrating life without cancer less than a year later.

In an interview, Alexis Dean, the mother of Kimberly Dean, recounted her daughter’s courageous journey from the initial diagnosis to the joy of being declared cancer-free.

Dean vividly remembered the moment she discovered the lump that led to the diagnosis.

“I never imagined it could be cancer,” Dean expressed. “I was expecting something minor, perhaps a hernia or something similar.”

But on September 1, 2025, the news they received was far from what they had anticipated.

“They sent us to the emergency room from the pediatrician’s office due to a lump they found in her abdomen,” Dean said. “I was shocked because who expects the hear their kid has cancer.”

That day Kimberly was officially diagnosed with Wilms Tumor, which led to countless trips to the hospital.

“She got really sick and we were worried there for a bit, she couldn’t talk, she wouldn’t eat,” Dean said.

Dean did everything she could to be there for her daughter and the community stepped up to help. Dean sold “Kimberly Strong” bracelets to help pay for medical bills.

“Kimberly didn’t have medical insurance when she got her diagnosis at first,” Dean said. “Then we started selling Kimberly Strong bracelets on Facebook. Within 24 hours, I raised $1,000.”

They met nurses that helped them watch their kids and had meal brought to them, so they didn’t have to worry about cooking during Kimberly’s treatment, Dean said.

Around nine months after the diagnosis, the family got the news they were waiting for, Kimberly was cancer free.

Kimberly rang the bell wearing a superhero mask and cape in front of loved ones.

“To see her run down the hallway, it was honestly hard to not cry in front of so many people,” Dean said. “It was absolutely insane.”

Dean said she can’t thank the community enough and is excited from Kimberly to return to childhood, free from disease.

“She starts kindergarten in August and we’re hoping to get her in cheerleading or gymnastics or ballet since she’s now taking an interest in those things,” Dean said. “She’s just hopefully going to be a normal kid.”

Kimberly said she dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up to help other kids just like her.

In December 2025, Kaitlan Collins stirred up speculation about her romantic life when she was seen getting close with an unidentified man during her holiday break from CNN. On Instagram Stories, Collins shared a photo featuring herself and a friend, later identified as Sean Francis, relaxing at a bar. As per her usual approach, Collins neither confirmed nor denied any dating rumors.

Sorry to break it to you like this, but Kaitlan Collins’ mystery companion on her recent trip to Barcelona isn’t actually her new man. Collins — whose bitter feud with President Donald Trump has kept her in the headlines — posted a carousel of images to Instagram in which CNN’s chief White House correspondent can be seen cozying up to a mystery guy. The photo showed Collins with her arm around her companion while they smiled during their getaway.

However, the man in question turned out to not be a romantic partner, but rather a former colleague, Matt Dornic, whose arm tattoo made him easy to recognize. In fact, Dornic also posted pictures from their vacation in Spain. Based on the comments, they were joined by Collins’ younger brother and Dornic’s boyfriend, Dylan. “Bros and bravas in Barcelona,” Collins captioned her photo carousel. So, there — mystery solved!

Currently, Kaitlan Collins appears to be single and embracing the dating scene. Her last known relationship was with Will Douglas, a pharmacist from Texas, back in 2015. This relationship occurred before she started her role as a White House correspondent for CNN in 2017. Although Collins and Douglas never publicly confirmed their relationship, social media posts suggested they were indeed a couple at one time.

Reports have surfaced that Collins has joined the exclusive dating app, Raya, in search of new connections and possibly a new relationship. A source close to Collins revealed to Radar Online that after her split from Douglas, Collins is eager to meet new people. In terms of what she’s looking for, the insider mentioned, “Kaitlan isn’t just searching for love; she’s seeking someone who can keep up with her career and help her navigate the social and political arenas she excels in.” They noted her hectic schedule has limited her social life, making the dating app a practical choice. “She desires a partner who comprehends her world and can be a true companion in every aspect,” the source added.

Collins is reportedly on a hunt for a new relationship

At the time of writing, it appears that Kaitlan Collins is officially single and ready to mingle. The journalist’s last public relationship was with Texas native and pharmacist Will Douglas in 2015, whom Collins dated prior to joining CNN as a White House correspondent in 2017. She and Douglas have never confirmed being an official couple, but photos from their Instagram page showed they were clearly together at some point.

It was previously reported that Collins had signed herself up on Raya to meet new people and hopefully be in a new relationship. A source close to the news anchor told Radar Online that Collins was ready to put herself back out there after her breakup with Douglas. As for what she wants in a man? “Kaitlan’s not just looking for love. She’s also looking for someone who can keep up with her career and help her navigate the social and political circles she thrives in,” the insider explained. They added that she hadn’t been able to go out as much as she’d like due to her busy schedule, hence the dating profile. “She wants someone, who understands her world and can be a real partner in every sense of the word.”

Although Collins herself has never publicly discussed her dating life, the 34-year-old journalist got candid about her struggles balancing a personal life and work in an interview with Heather McMahan on her “Absolutely Not” podcast. “I actually think, yes, I do work a lot and all of that, and I sacrifice a lot,” Collins admitted, but she ultimately has no regrets. “I just think you have to pick your priorities, and so doing that is really good for me,” Collins elaborated, noting, “I actually think it makes me a better reporter.”

Kwankwaso Shares Plans If Offered 2027 Running Mate Role with Peter Obi

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, has announced his willingness to join forces with Peter Obi as a vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

During an appearance on Arise Television’s Prime Time program, Kwankwaso discussed the current political dynamics within the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and revealed his openness to partnering with Obi if the party selects the former Labour Party presidential candidate as its nominee for the upcoming election.

Kwankwaso emphasized his commitment to working alongside Obi, highlighting an agreement between the two leaders to address Nigeria’s security challenges collaboratively. He underscored the importance of prioritizing peace and stability throughout the nation.

“We have agreed to tackle the issue of insecurity head-on to ensure there is peace and stability in this country,” Kwankwaso stated, emphasizing their shared dedication to restoring national security.

“We have agreed to tackle the issue of insecurity head-on to ensure there is peace and stability in this country,” he said.

Speaking further, Kwankwaso said he would not hesitate to accept the vice-presidential position if entrusted with the role by the party leadership.

“If the party decides that I should be the running mate of any candidate from the south under the circumstances, I’d be happy to work together with him,” he stated.

The former Kano governor also praised what he described as the strength of a possible Obi-Kwankwaso alliance, insisting that the combination would be difficult for opponents to match.

“Personally, I cannot remember any better combination, no matter how much time is given to find those who can beat us in terms of doing the right thing for this country,” he added.

The development comes amid growing political realignments ahead of the 2027 general election.

Earlier this month, both Kwankwaso and Obi reportedly joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress (ADC) after previously being associated with the African Democratic Congress (NDC).
