DCLM Daily Manna 25 February 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Delicate But Necessary Balance

TOPIC: Delicate But Necessary Balance (DCLM Daily Manna 25 February 2026)

KEY VERSE: They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s. – Matthew 22:21 (KJV)

TEXT: Matthew 22:15-22 (KJV)

15 Then went the Pharisees, and took counsel how they might entangle him in his talk.

16 And they sent out unto him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Master, we know that thou art true, and teachest the way of God in truth, neither carest thou for any man: for thou regardest not the person of men.

17 Tell us therefore, What thinkest thou? Is it lawful to give tribute unto Caesar, or not?

18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?

19 Shew me the tribute money. And they brought unto him a penny.

20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?

21 They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

22 When they had heard these words, they marvelled, and left him, and went their way.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

Mei Ling (name changed) was a house church leader in a restrictive Asian country. The government mandated that all churches register under state control, which would mean compromising biblical teachings. Many pastors complied out of fear, but Mei Ling believed this would dishonour Christ’s lordship over the Church. She continued leading secret Bible studies, citing Acts 5:29, “We ought to obey God rather than men,” When authorities raided her meetings, she refused to deny her faith, even under threat of imprisonment. Mei Ling still respected other laws (paying taxes, not inciting violence), but she drew the line where the government contradicted God’s Word. She prioritised worship, evangelism, and discipleship – rendering to God what belonged to Him. Her courage strengthened other believers to remain faithful in that community.

In our text, the Pharisees and Herodians intended to ensnare Jesus by His own words. They asked Him whether paying tax to Caesar was right or wrong. It was a question with profound religious and political implications. The question of the Pharisees was a trap, intended to put Jesus in a dilemma. If He said “yes”, It would pitch Him against the people who resented paying tax to the Roman oppressors. If on the other hand, He answered in the negative, He would be accused of inciting insurrection against the Roman Government, even though that would please the Jews. Jesus perceived their evil intent and dealt with it appropriately. He asked for a tribute (tax) coin and enquired whose image was on it. It was Caesar’s) Caesar’s image on the coin (denarius) signified his ownership and authority. Therefore, Jesus told them that since the money was Caesar’s, it was their civic duty to give it back to him.

In the same breath. Jesus tries to emphasise the need to balance our civic duties with our irrevocable divine obligations that prioritise surrendering our lives to God, whose image we bear, by creation. Humans must submit to divine ownership and authority.

As Christians. It is our duty to obey the laws of our nations, as long as they do not contradict God’s word. Beyond that, our total allegiance and loyalty must be given to God in active and productive service. And as the Scriptures emphasise, “Ye are bought with a price. therefore, glorify God in your body, and in your spirit which are God’s.”

Seeds Of Destiny 27 February 2026: Wisdom Keys For Survival

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 27 February 2026 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Wisdom Keys For Survival

TOPIC: Wisdom Keys For Survival (Seeds Of Destiny 27 February 2026)

SCRIPTURE: And David behaved himself wisely in all his ways; and the Lord was with him. Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was afraid of him. – 1 Samuel 18:14–15

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It takes the mentality of God to handle the calamities of life.

Seeds Of Destiny For Today 2026 MESSAGE

It is imperative to note that we live in a very wicked world. It requires the help of God through the deployment of Divine strategies to survive and succeed in our world today. Hazards or dangers abound everywhere you turn. We hear news of unfortunate and horrific incidents on television, radio, and in newspapers almost every day. This is not to scare you, but to create a sense of awareness and the need for spiritual fortification by the Wisdom and Power of God.

Now, it is important to explore the Divine strategies for survival and triumph in times like this.

Today, we shall be looking at one of the strategies for survival which is the deployment of the Wisdom of God.

The wisdom of God is required for surviving dangerous times. It takes the mentality of God to handle the calamities of life. Wisdom carries preservation power.

David behaved himself wisely, and the Lord was with him (1Samuel 18:14–15), so, it was impossible for him to be destroyed by Saul. Wisdom attracts the Presence of God and invokes terror against the enemy. The truth is, when a person walks in Divine wisdom, the enemy becomes afraid. When you are wise in the Spirit, you become a terror to hell.

Wisdom brings deliverance, while foolishness brings destruction. Many lives have been destroyed not by the power of the devil but by the power of foolishness.

Now, what are the wisdom keys for survival? We shall be looking at three of them today.

  1. Watch your tongue
Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Your tongue is either prolonging your life or hastening your death. What you say affects the quality and quantity of your life.

Beloved, the enemy is always listening for what to catch from your mouth and use against you. So, guard your tongue carefully.

  1. Watch your thoughts
Proverbs 23:7 says, For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…
Thoughts become real with time. Thoughts release signals that both God and the devil perceive. Thoughts of fear, worry and anxiety invite calamity. Positive thoughts attract the Presence and Preservation Power of God.
  2. Live in God’s Presence
He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1).
Beloved, living in God’s presence provides Divine covering, boldness and supernatural security. You are safe in the secret place of the Most-High.

Remember this: It takes the mentality of God to handle the calamities of life.

ASSIGNMENT(S):

  1. Guard your tongue and your thoughts.
  2. Be intentional about living in the Presence of God.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive wisdom for survival in this wicked world. Help me to guard my tongue and thoughts, and keep me in Your safe Presence, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Tiger Woods’ Driving Habits Raise Concerns: Is Golf Failing Its Troubled Star? Oliver Holt Weighs In

0

For too long, the world of golf has held onto the shadow of the legend that was Tiger Woods, grappling with how to move forward without the sport’s most iconic and lucrative figure.

The industry has repeatedly turned a blind eye to his reckless behavior, ignoring the alarming risks he has posed to himself and others while driving with what can only be described as a dangerous level of carelessness.

Time and again, the public has witnessed Woods fail to show remorse or acknowledge his mistakes following a series of driving incidents. Instead, the narrative has often cast him in the light of a hero, despite actions that are far from heroic.

Ultimately, both Woods and the golf community have been fortunate that these incidents have not resulted in the loss of innocent lives over the past nine years.

One notable incident occurred in May 2017, shortly after Woods had undergone spinal fusion surgery. He was discovered unconscious at the wheel of a Mercedes-Benz on a roadside in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, around 3 a.m.

He was found to have prescription drugs in his system; Vicodin, Dilaudid, Xanax, Ambien and THC. He entered an in-patient rehab facility for prescription medication addiction. He later pleaded guilty to reckless driving.

In February, 2021, on his way to a photo-shoot near Los Angeles, Woods lost control of his car at speed. It struck the central reservation, crossed into the opposite lane, rolled over several times and then plunged off the road and down an embankment.

Police said he was driving at 87mph in a 45mph zone. There was an empty, unlabeled pill container in the car. Woods told police he thought he was in Florida. They did not run a toxicology test.

Woods was seriously injured and required multiple operations on fractures in his lower right leg but when he eventually returned to golf, none of the questions he was asked concerned whether he felt any contrition for the harm he could have caused others.

The only thought appeared to be for Woods’ physical recovery and for when and where he might return to golf, not for the fact that he had quite clearly become a danger to others and to himself.

And now it has happened again. Now we are being assailed with more blurry-eyed images of Woods staring hazily into a police camera for another mugshot after rolling his Land Rover on a quiet residential street near his home in Jupiter, Florida.

Tiger Woods was driven away from Martin County Jail after being bonded out on Friday night

Tiger Woods was driven away from Martin County Jail after being bonded out on Friday night

Woods did not have alcohol in his system but he refused to take a urine test and police at the scene said he appeared to be impaired. We have seen this movie before and it’s starting to feel like a tragedy.

The pattern repeats. It has been repeating since 2009 when Woods drove his car into a fire hydrant while attempting to flee his wife Elin Nordegren, who was said to have confronted him in the midst of problems in their marriage.

If Woods appears to have a dependency on pain-killing drugs, he also has a dependency on golf and golf has a dependency on him. In the past, when he has transgressed, golf has forgiven him and then golf has redeemed him.

The outstanding example of that pattern was his recovery from the spinal fusion surgery and his rehabilitation after he was found passed out in his Mercedes, which had two flat tires, in 2017.

Woods has had a series of back operations in the long span of his incredible career and even though there were times in the build-up to that surgery when he could barely walk, let alone play golf, he pulled off one of the greatest comeback triumphs in the history of sport when he won the Masters in 2019, his 15th major.

And the narrative, of course, is that that makes all the pain and all the suffering and all the pills and all the car crashes worthwhile.

The crash is the another low point for the legendary golfer, coming weeks before the Masters

The crash is the another low point for the legendary golfer, coming weeks before the Masters

Even last week, Woods was still talking about the prospect of returning to the Masters next month for another appearance at Augusta National, the course that he loves more than any other, the course where the full bloom of his incredible talent was first advertised to the world when he won the tournament in 1997.

Woods played in an indoor event staged by The Golf League in Palm Beach, that was attended by his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, and assorted members of the glitterati, and refused to rule out playing in Georgia.

That dream felt unlikely last week. It feels impossible now after Woods latest misadventure.

It is time for Woods to stop trying to prove he can be competitive again. It is time for golf to let him go.

It is time he learned to help himself before it is too late. The picture of that flipped car on the road felt like a metaphor for a gilded life that is turning into an American tragedy.

Utah Resident Layla Taylor Shares Her Accessible Experience Obtaining a GLP-1 Prescription

Layla Taylor is shedding light on how effortlessly she obtained a GLP-1 prescription in Utah, only to later recognize the weight-loss medication as an “unhealthy crutch” amidst her struggles with an eating disorder.

“If people think this is a state focused on vanity, they wouldn’t be wrong,” Layla, 25, shared in an interview with Allure published on Thursday, March 26. “Here, appearance is everything,” she added, reflecting on her home state.

As a star of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Layla has previously discussed her battle with an eating disorder during the Hulu series’ fourth season. She suggested that Utah’s beauty-centric culture contributed to how easily she was able to access a GLP-1 prescription.

Layla revealed to the publication that she received Tirzepatide, a GLP-1 intended for type 2 diabetes management and weight loss, from “a plastic surgeon in Utah during the previous fall.”

Mormon Wives' Layla Addresses Weight Concerns, Recalls Her Self-Harm Issues

In a candid revelation, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Layla Taylor voiced concerns about her weight and opened up about her past mental health challenges, which included self-harm and suicide attempts. During the Hulu special that began streaming on Tuesday, July 1, host Nick Viall discussed Layla’s journey, highlighting her experiences and struggles.

She recalled the experience being seamless, noting there weren’t any obstacles to deter her from taking the medication.

“They just handed it to me without ever having an appointment with me,” Layla shared. “They got me a prescription and it was at my house the next day.”

Layla revealed that after sharing her story on SLOMW, she is hopeful that others will realize how not to abuse GLP-1s or at least think twice before taking one without doctor supervision.

Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Layla Taylor Talks Eating Disorder

Layla Taylor is opening up about her road to recovery after sharing her eating disorder on The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 4. Warning: This post contains spoilers for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 4. “It’s still going to be a battle,” Layla, 25, exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of the season […]

“I’m very happy that I shared that with the world because there’s so many people that abuse this drug and it’s so easily accessible now,” she told the outlet.

Ahead of the season 4 premiere of SLOMW on March 12, Layla exclusively told Us Weekly about her ups and downs with disordered eating and how the use of GLP-1s added to her toxic cycle.

“It’s still going to be a battle,” Layla shared with Us. “I think what people don’t see is that an eating disorder is not just like, a talk about it one time in therapy or take a magic pill and it goes away. It’s something that I’ve struggled with since I was a little girl, so it’s something I probably always will. But I feel like I’m doing better, and I’m in a little bit of a better place. But day by day.”

While Layla has been struggling with an eating disorder on and off since she was young, taking a GLP-1 to silence the food noise was a recent addition.

“I feel like the GLP-1 was a way to not enable the eating disorder, but in my head, it was a way to make an eating disorder more easy. It was just like an unhealthy crutch,” she confessed.

Now that Layla, a mother of two young boys, has stopped the medication she told Us she does “still struggle with the body image issues” but she’s trying to “manage it and not be on something that I knew was enabling it worse.” (Layla shares sons Oliver, 4, and Maxwell, 3, with ex-husband Clayton Wessel.)

Mormon Wives Star Layla Taylors Breast Implant Revision Explained

Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Layla Taylor revealed that she decided to get a breast implant revision to reclaim her “confidence.” Taylor, 24, and her plastic surgeon Dr. Daniel Barrett detailed her goal with the procedure in a video shared via his official Instagram account on Monday, March 16, explaining that she ultimately wanted […]

The reality star also confirmed that she is “still seeking treatment” at an outpatient facility for disordered eating after noticing inner pain coming from her unhealthy lifestyle.

“I think obviously you see that somebody’s losing weight, but you don’t see that it hurts for them to lay down at night because their joints hurt and my hair is falling out and my nails are breaking off every day,” Layla said, adding that her body “literally couldn’t go any longer at the rate” she was going.

Unveiling the Evolution: Why Lady Gaga Embraced a More Subdued Style

0

Lady Gaga made an indelible mark on pop culture with her unforgettable meat dress at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

Renowned for her eccentric fashion choices and daring looks, Gaga truly pushed boundaries when she arrived at one of entertainment’s most prestigious events wearing a dress and shoes fashioned from raw meat.

Upon receiving the Video of the Year Award, the “Poker Face” singer accepted the honor from none other than Cher, quipping, “I never thought I’d be asking Cher to hold my meat purse.”

Never one to shy away from controversy or feel constrained by societal norms, Gaga embodied the empowering message of her hit anthem “Born This Way” by continually surprising fans with her next bold move.

In recent years, however, the star has significantly dialed back her once-provocative style, adopting a more understated and wholesome public image.

Despite still taking risks in her music and delighting her fanbase, known as the little monsters, with her latest record Mayhem, it seems nowadays Lady Gaga is keeping her theatrical looks for the stage.

Now, as she celebrates her 40th birthday this weekend, the singer, whose real name is Stephanie, is preparing to settle down and tie the knot with her fiancé Michael Polansky after a two year engagement.

In an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music last March she confessed how finding love had changed her relationship with the stage.

‘My home used to only be the stage. It was so lonely, and also, it is so much more fun to take somebody up there with you, someone that loves you, that knows what you’re capable in all the various aspects of life.’

She touchingly shared: ‘I think that there’s nothing that can bring a tear to my eye I think more on a daily basis than knowing that I mean also so much to somebody in a way that isn’t about what I’m doing onstage, or my song, or what I’m wearing.’

The 40-year evolution of Lady Gaga: How the singer toned down her provocative style after establishing herself as an actress and finding love away from the stage as singer gets ready for marriage while marking milestone birthday (pictured in 2010)

Never feeling pressure to conform to the norm, the all important message of her hit anthem Born This Way, Lady Gaga left fans in anticipation for what she would do next

Never feeling pressure to conform to the norm, the all important message of her hit anthem Born This Way, Lady Gaga left fans in anticipation for what she would do next

Celebrity fashion stylist and host of the Talk in Wardrobe podcast Ellis Ranson told The Daily Mail: ‘Lady Gaga is in her more wholesome era, yet she still feels like a unique artist and keeps her individual style.

‘Rather than toning down, I see her style going in a new direction. She knows her audience and understands who she is and she seems to have found comfort in this place.

‘Her previous eras felt strategic as she was proving her worth as an artist and experimenting, which we have all done at some point in our lives, just maybe not as extreme or in front of the world.’

Bursting onto the scene in 2008, it was clear the world had never experienced a Gaga before as she stepped out in flesh-flashing leotards, an array of wigs and platform heels.

A big fan of an accessory, she often wore zany eyewear or extravagant lashes, seeing red carpets as an opportunity to step into a costume to steal the show.

In 2009 she left little to the imagination as she rocked a sheer red lace bodysuit to the Marc Jacobs New York Fashion Week party.

She paired the racy look with a white wig shaped like a spike sun, a tiny string thong and a matching scarlet-coloured face mask.

That same year she also shocked in a dress made out of plastic bubbles and posed as ‘Mother Monster’ in a black lace veil, velvet blush pink bra and fishnet tights.

As her award show success climbed, Gaga went on to scoop two Grammys and three BRITs.

Making sure to dress to impress for the occasions, she donned a glittery lilac-coloured space age-themed dress with sparkly heels and a yellow wavy wig while balancing precariously in a sparkly pair of platform heels.

She then treated her British fans to a white lace bodysuit complete with matching ankle boots and a giant back combed beehive.

While promoting her third album Born This Way, Gaga could have been mistaken for Cruella de Vil as she stormed the streets in a two-tone monochrome wig, leopard print bag and pillar box-red flared trousers.

As the years went on the star continued to bring the looks, dressing up as a sexy mermaid in another sheer sea-themed bodysuit while leaving the airport in Japan.

Meanwhile in a memorable performance in Amsterdam she appeared to be engulfed in polka dot tentacles as she warbled out her hits.

Yet these days appear to now be behind her.

Confirming that Gaga appears to be embracing a new chapter, Ellis continued: ‘Now she has entered a new space where she doesn’t have to rely on crazy looks and creating moments, which proves she was always in control of her fashion choices.’

Pinpointing the moment things changed, she explained: ‘For me personally, as she stepped into her A Star Is Born role, her aesthetic shifted, and we got to see what was behind the drama of the silhouettes and outfits.

‘That being said, the fashion has never suffered and has always been at the forefront of it all.

‘As a true artist, this shift feels authentic following her through the different stages of her life. Which overall to me still feels extremely iconic, as you never know when she will choose to be loud or keep it soft.’

Starring alongside Bradley Cooper in the hit 2018 remake, Gaga proved she was no one trick pony as she blew fans and critics away with her acting performance and hit song Shallow.

Opting for a shimmering sequin-studded silver gown at the LA premiere of the film, the star oozed Hollywood glam.

And over the last few years she has continued to impress with her elegant red carpet looks.

Meanwhile her album Joanne in 2016 saw the star embrace a more country sound as she stripped back her look in a simple pink hat for the album cover.

Last month she shocked fans with a surprise appearance during Bad Bunny’s Superbowl performance.

Keeping her outfit rather demure, she looked sensational in a ruched blue dress with a red flower pinned to her shoulder.

But not all of her Gaga-isms have been lost and at this year’s Grammys she still gave a nod to her quirky style as she bleached her eyebrows to match her blonde hair and commanded the spotlight in a theatrical black feathered gown by Matières Fécales, featuring an architectural high collar.

Taking to the stage to accept the award for Best Pop Dance Recording, the star changed into a red feathered long-sleeve top which she paired with a structured black skirt.

And while her career is now more than established, so too is her personal life.

During her acceptance speech onstage, she declared her love for her partner and even credited him for helping her create the music and put together her album.

‘I have to say thank you first to my partner, Michael,’ she said as the camera panned over to show his face as he stared adoringly at her.

‘I love you so much,’ she gushed as he sweetly blew kisses back at her.

Gaga continued: ‘You are by my side every single day in a way that I can’t thank you enough for.

‘You worked so hard with me on this record all year,’ she added. ‘So, I love you and thank you.’

The couple was first romantically linked around New Year’s Eve 2019 and later went Instagram official in early 2020.

They reportedly decided to go their separate ways in early 2023 due to the singer-songwriter wanting marriage and children and the tech executive not being ready to take those steps.

The pair reportedly had an amicable dissolution to their coupling, and remained friends.

Then, in August 2023 they were spotted together for the first time in more than a year.

Gaga has been engaged twice before, ending her engagement to Christian Carino in early 2019, and after becoming engaged to actor Taylor Kinney in 2015 they broke up in 2016.

Michael popped the question in April 2024, with Gaga sporting a massive $1 million engagement ring.

The ring is estimated to be worth around $1,000,000 with a diamond that looks to be between 10 and 20 carats, according to Page Six.

However, prior to getting the ring, he chose a rather unusual way to propose, presenting her with just a blade of grass.

She shared that Michael ‘asked me how I would want him to propose to me one day. We were in our backyard and I said: “Just take a blade of grass and wrap it around my finger,” and then I wrote Blade Of Grass.’

While penning the song, the Bad Romance hitmaker ‘remembered the way his face looked, and I remembered the grass in the backyard.’

Michael on April Fool’s Day, with a blade of grass as Gaga requested – though because of the date she initially assumed he was joking.

RHOSLC Star Mary Cosby Interrogated by Police Over Son’s Alleged Violence Prior to His Tragic Death

Just weeks before Robert Cosby Jr.’s tragic passing, his mother, Mary Cosby, found herself answering questions from authorities regarding an alleged domestic violence incident involving her son. The situation has cast a somber shadow over the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star’s life.

Documents obtained by TMZ reveal that on January 9, 2026, Mary Cosby spoke with Salt Lake City Police concerning the relationship between Robert Jr. and his former wife, Alexiana Smokoff. These discussions painted a picture of a relationship fraught with challenges yet lacking in physical altercations, at least from Mary’s perspective.

During the interview, Mary Cosby described her son’s relationship with Smokoff as one that occasionally witnessed verbal disputes but insisted she never witnessed any physical confrontations. She firmly stated that violence was not a trait she instilled in her son, emphasizing her disbelief in any reports of aggressive behavior from him.

The reality TV star, also known for her role as a Church leader, recounted that while under her care, she never noticed any injuries on either her son or Smokoff. However, she did mention a concerning incident where Robert Jr. and another individual had jumped off a balcony while under the influence, highlighting the complexities of his life.

Cosby claimed she did not see any injuries on either party while they were under her roof. However, one time Robert Jr. and another person jumped off a balcony while high.

However, Smokoff had called law enforcement on Nov. 23, 2025, to report an alleged domestic violence incident with Robert Jr. that occurred in May 2024.

Smokoff claimed that Robert Jr., who was incarcerated at the time of the report, became enraged after she threw his drugs in the toilet six months earlier “because she was tired of his drug use.”

According to the court documents, the incident allegedly took place at Cosby’s Utah home.

Per the outlet, Police also spoke with Robert Jr. while he was behind bars. He admitted to being on fentanyl at the time of the alleged 2024 incident and did not remember everything.

Robert Jr. also told police that he did confess to his mom that he was physical with his then-wife. He said he thought he was in “psychosis” for a while because he was “acting erratic and irrational.”

Smokoff filed for divorce in November 2025 following three years of marriage. The exes secretly tied the knot at a Utah courthouse in August 2022.

The divorce was finalized in January.

In the the weeks leading up to Robert Jr.’s tragic death, the young adult was charged with domestic violence and had a warrant out for his arrest.

Robert Jr. previously spent two months behind bars for violating a pretrial protective order against Smokoff.

As part of his Feb. 3 release, he was ordered to complete 75 hours of community service and complete substance abuse and anger management classes during his 24 months of probation.

The 23-year-old, who had been open about his drug issues on the Bravo reality show, was then charged with felony aggravated assault and felony assault on Feb. 5, just two days after he was let out.

Robert Jr. was found dead on Feb. 23 after officers “responded to an overdose call that turned into a death investigation.”

Inside the Life of Quadruple Amputee Cornhole Champion Dayton Webber: Unveiling His Struggles and Triumphs

0

Dayton Webber, a professional cornhole player who is a quadruple amputee, faces accusations of murder after allegedly killing a friend and disposing of the body. His former girlfriend has revealed a troubling side to his personality.

According to Tori Mattingly, Webber’s ex-girlfriend, he had a “dark, angry side” and frequently “lashed out.” Despite these issues, Mattingly told TMZ that Webber consistently refused to seek therapy to manage his anger.

Mattingly, who was in a relationship with the 27-year-old Webber for four years until their split in February 2025, expressed to the outlet that she wasn’t shocked by the murder allegations against him.

Interestingly, after her breakup with Webber, Mattingly began dating Brad Wells, the man who was later identified as the victim in the case. TMZ reported that there was no overlap in their relationships, as Mattingly and Wells eventually decided to remain friends by June 2025, after a period of on-again, off-again dating.

There was no dating overlap, Mattingly claimed, as she and Wells decided to be just friends in June 2025 after months of on and off again dating, TMZ reported.

She claimed Webber was aware of that short-lived romance and also knew she and Wells had remained friends, the report stated.

Webber was arrested March 22 for allegedly shooting Wells during a late night joyride in a Tesla SUV in Maryland, then dumping his body and fleeing to Virginia, authorities said.

The American Cornhole League pro is alleged to have been driving the car with Wells in the passenger seat and two other friends in the back when an argument escalated and ended in gunfire, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.

The two other passengers fled the car after Webber asked for help in removing Wells body from the passenger seat, authorities alleged.

Despite having his arms amputated to the elbows, Webber was able to deftly operate a handgun, according to a video he shared to his YouTube channel.

A bacterial infection at the age of 10 months forced doctors to amputate all four of Webber’s limbs to give him a chance to survive.

Webber’s next court hearing is scheduled for April 23, according to CBS19.

Trump Administration Faces Challenges in Meeting Goals Amid Iran Conflict as De-escalation Efforts Begin

0

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump has outlined five specific goals the U.S. aims to achieve before concluding its military engagement with Iran. Now, a month into the conflict, he has hinted that the U.S. might soon be “winding down” its operations, despite some key objectives remaining either undefined or unmet.

Last week, Trump expanded on the objectives for the extensive air campaign, increasing the number from the initial four set by his administration at the war’s onset on February 28. This is also an increase from the three goals generally stated by the Pentagon and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. Although the Trump administration claims that its goals are clear and consistent, the priorities have evolved as the conflict has impacted the global economy, strained alliances, and left critical questions about the war’s planning, justification, and future.

The joint airstrikes by the U.S. and Israel have reportedly weakened Iran’s military capabilities significantly, eliminating many senior leaders. However, these tactical victories do not automatically equate to the fulfillment of all the president’s broader strategic objectives.

Some goals remain challenging to achieve, and should the U.S. withdraw with unresolved objectives, leaving Iran’s paramilitary Islamic Revolutionary Guard in power, Trump could encounter political consequences domestically and international scrutiny over the decision to initiate a war that disrupted the Middle East and unsettled the global economy.

Trump and the White House maintain that the operation is progressing well and is on course to achieve its aims. “We are very close to meeting the core objectives of Operation Epic Fury, and this military mission continues unabated,” press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated this week, emphasizing that the operation is “ahead of schedule and performing exceptionally.”

Here’s a look at the objectives as laid out by Trump and where they stand:

1. ‘Completely degrading Iranian Missile Capability’
One of the prime objectives laid out by the president with Iran was to “destroy their missiles and raze their missile industry to the ground.”

The administration says that the ability has been significantly degraded. But Iran is still launching missiles and drones, including a series of barrages at Israel as Trump claimed that negotiations with Iran were underway.

Trump said Thursday at the White House that about 90% of Iran’s missiles and launchers have been knocked out, and that drones and the factories where drones and missiles are manufactured “are way down.”

2. ‘Destroying Iran’s Defense Industrial Base’
Before last week, the president and his administration sometimes listed this as a standalone objective, describing it as a goal to “raze their missile industry to the ground.” Other times, this has fallen off the list. The Pentagon has generally lumped it into the first objective of destroying Iran’s missile capability.

U.S. Central Command has said its targets for strikes in Iran have included weapons production and missile and drone manufacturing facilities. But Iranian attacks against its Gulf neighbors and Israel continue.

3. ‘Eliminating their Navy and Air Force’
The U.S. and Israel quickly established air superiority in the skies above Iran, where they have flown largely unchallenged. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said Thursday that the U.S. has damaged or destroyed more than 150 Iranian vessels.

After a U.S. submarine torpedoed and sank an Iranian warship in early March, two other Iranian vessels – the IRIS Bushehr and IRIS Lavan – docked in Sri Lanka and India and sought assistance from the two countries. There has been no indication from the U.S. that they have since been sunk or captured.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has its own navy that also relies on smaller vessels to do swarm attacks and drop mines. It is unclear how much of that force remains or whether it has planted any mines. But Iranian missiles continue to disrupt shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

4. ‘Never allowing Iran to get even close to Nuclear Capability’
Trump made a marked shift over the last year after declaring that the U.S. has “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear program in June, only for his aides to warn that Iran was just weeks away from a bomb to justify the current operations.

Iranian state media said its nuclear facilities were attacked Friday. A heavy water plant and a yellowcake production plant were struck and Israel later confirmed it was behind the strikes.

Israel had previously announced strikes on other nuclear-related targets, including the killing of a top Iranian nuclear scientist.

One of the most pressing questions in the war is whether Trump will seek to seize or destroy about 970 pounds of enriched uranium that Tehran has that could potentially be used for a weapon.

Trump, for the first time on Monday, said the U.S. would retrieve the uranium, which is believed to be buried deep under a mountain facility. But he indicated that would occur if the U.S. struck some kind of deal with Iran to the U.S. to retrieve it. Without permission from Iran, seizing it would be a dangerous mission, experts say, and would require a sizable deployment of U.S. troops into the country.

5. ‘Protecting, at the highest level, our Middle Eastern Allies’
Trump, in a recent social media post, added a fifth objective for the U.S: “Protecting, at the highest level, our Middle Eastern Allies, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and others. The Hormuz Strait will have to be guarded and policed, as necessary, by other Nations who use it – The United States does not!”

The U.S. already maintains thousands of troops on bases and other installations in the region. It’s not clear how much further Trump is willing to go to protect Middle East allies from threats, and Iran is still able to attack those countries. It’s also not clear how far the U.S. is willing to go to keep open the Strait of Hormuz. Trump has vacillated on whether the U.S. needs to take a role in policing it. He has again extended a deadline for Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face attacks on its power plants, now giving them until April 6.

Regime change is not officially on the list

Trump has spoken about regime change since the start of the war, encouraging the Iranian people to “take over your government” after Israel, assisted by the U.S., launched strikes that killed Iran’s supreme leader and much of its upper echelon of leaders.

Trump and his administration, however, have never explicitly stated regime change as an objective in Iran, despite making it clear they want to end the repressive theocracy’s 47-year reign.

Trump said Thursday at the White House that the regime is “largely decimated.”

“You could really say we have regime change because they have been killed,” he said in a Fox News Channel interview.

Now the U.S. claims to be holding talks with elements of the same Iranian government as it looks to bring a swift end to the conflict and reopen the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic. Iran, however, continues to publicly insist it is not negotiating with the White House.

And Trump’s initial hopes for the Iranian people appear set to continue unfulfilled.

Also falling off the list: Cutting off support for Iranian proxy groups

Trump administration officials have offered few updates about this objective, which the president has described as ensuring that “the region’s terrorist proxies can no longer destabilize the region or the world and attack our forces” and “ensuring that the Iranian regime cannot continue to arm, fund, and direct terrorist armies outside of their borders.”

While the U.S. has struck Iranian-aligned militia groups in Iraq, and Israel appears to be expanding its operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon, the administration has not offered details about how it’s going to permanently halt Tehran’s support for the militant groups.

The White House said in a statement that ensuring that Iranian proxy groups cannot further destabilize the region remains a key goal and that “proxies are hardly putting up a fight because our United States Military is so strong and lethal.”
