Women in Swans’ Sexual Assault Investigation Express Fear for Safety: Lawyer Reveals Concerns

0

The disturbing ordeal faced by two women, at the heart of an investigation involving five players from the Sydney Swans AFL club, has been branded as “abhorrent” by their legal representative. The lawyer further revealed that the women are now living in fear for their safety.

Attorney John Karantzis, representing two out of three women allegedly involved in the incident, has accused the Swans’ management of lacking full transparency. He claims that beyond the five players, more than five men were present in the hotel room.

Sydney Swans disciplined five players — Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, Riley Bice, and James Jordon — barring them for the remainder of the AFL season. This decision followed their violation of club standards at East Melbourne’s Pullman Hotel earlier this week.

Detectives from the Victoria Police Sex Crimes Squad have launched an investigation. However, no charges have been filed thus far.

Karantzis maintained that while more than five men were present during the incident, he declined to specify whether any other personnel from the Swans were involved during the time in question.

“It’s more than five, that’s for sure,” he told Melbourne radio station 3AW on Friday.

Swans coach fronts press

Speaking publicly for the first time since the five players were suspended, Swans coach Dean Cox said at a press conference on Friday that he was unaware of the claim that more men were involved, but the club was working with police to determine the details.

“I cannot comment on what happened in the room. It is a police investigation,” Cox said before adding he was not in the room.

The Swans later issued a statement saying only the five players reported were in the room and condemned “misinformation” being circulated.

“We have every reason to consider that reports to the contrary are simply false,” the statement said.

Cox conceded he and other club leaders needed to take responsibility for rebuilding the Swans’ reputation.

“I’ve been at the football club for nine years. Every person within those four walls we value extremely highly and they have a massive say on our culture as a group,” he said.

“We understand as leaders we need to lead that culture, but what we are going to do is back ourselves, and we’re going to move forward and we’re going to strive as strongly as we possibly can to repay the faith.”

Lawyer says ‘line was crossed’

Karantzis said the two women he represented were in hiding and fearing violence.

“With what has been alleged, these women were subjected to the most disgusting actions and behaviour I have ever heard about in my 28 years as a lawyer,” he said.

“These women already had a difficult job.

“And what they were subjected to, it is alleged, was demeaning, abhorrent and simply not moral or acceptable.”

Karantzis, asked if the club hadn’t yet been fully transparent, replied: “That is my understanding.”

He couldn’t detail specifics, citing the ongoing investigation which he said would take some time to complete.

“The line was crossed and unfortunately, what they’ve been subjected to … I literally cannot say it on the radio,” he said.

“They (the two women he represents) are suffering severe stress and anxiety.”

Calls for apology

Public statements from the Swans hierarchy had failed to include a direct apology to the women, the lawyer said.

“An apology would be a good start … and really, probably full transparency as to who was involved and what occurred,” he said.

Karantzis expected further action from the AFL, which described the club-imposed suspension of the five Swans players as “appropriate”.

“I’m sure once the AFL is fully apprised of what happened, and that may be through the court process … or through their own investigations, the AFL would make the appropriate sanctions,” he said.

The AFL’s integrity unit is staging its own investigation.

Tragic Alaska Plane Crash: 8 Feared Dead Near Isolated Radar Site

0

On Thursday, a tragic aviation accident unfolded in western Alaska as a chartered plane, with two pilots and six passengers, went down while nearing a secluded area, authorities reported.

Clint Johnson, who leads the National Transportation Safety Board’s operations in Alaska, informed The Associated Press about the incident involving the eight individuals onboard.

At the time of the briefing, Johnson did not have details on the status of those involved in the crash.

The ill-fated flight departed from Anchorage and is suspected to have met with the mishap on Thursday afternoon as it neared its destination at Cape Newenham, according to reports from the AP.

The twin-engine Cessna was operated by Security Aviation and had been chartered to fly from Anchorage to Cape Newenham, located about 40 miles south of Goodnews Bay, according to KTUU.

The Alaska Rescue Coordination Center said it launched a search-and-rescue mission after receiving a report of an “aircraft incident” near the Cape Newenham Long Range Radar Site.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, reacted to the crash on X, offering condolences and noting her personal experience flying with Security Aviation.

“I join Alaskans in condolences as we learn of the plane crash in Cape Newenham today,” Murkowski wrote. “I’ve traveled extensively with Security Aviation throughout Alaska, and have met many of their experienced pilots.”

“I appreciate the U.S. Coast Guard, NTSB, Alaska State Troopers, and the Rescue Coordination Center for responding to the site,” she continued. “Alaska is praying for those on board, their loved ones, and the team at Security Aviation.”

Fox News has reached out to the National Transportation Safety Board and the Alaska Rescue Coordination Center for additional information.

Speculation Arises: Jill Biden Questions If Joe Biden Was Drugged Before 2024 Debate with Trump

0

Former first lady Jill Biden continues to emphasize the discussion surrounding the alleged drugging of her husband, former President Joe Biden, before a major debate in 2024. In a recent podcast, she was questioned about whether medical professionals had eliminated the possibility of a stroke occurring that night.

During the podcast, host Jamie Kern Lima directly asked Jill Biden whether doctors ruled out a stroke on the night of the debate.

Jill Biden replied, “Well, they did. They said, I mean, I didn’t say to them, when I was writing my book, I was reflecting, but I didn’t say, ‘God, did Joe have a stroke?’ I just said, ‘Is he OK? Is he OK?’”

When asked by Lima about her intuition regarding what transpired, Jill Biden admitted her uncertainty.

“I mean, there’s all kinds of theories — you know, he had been traveling,” she explained. “I know he was tired, he didn’t feel well that day, when I saw him, but there was nothing definitive that I could point to.”

“And I had been on the road for two weeks up until that moment. So, I wasn’t with him. I didn’t see him days before, weeks before. I saw him maybe one hour before.”

Lima asked, “There’s no way anyone could have, God forbid, laced his drink or something?”

“Who knows? Who knows?” Biden responded.

The former president’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

One of the most decisive moments of the 2024 election was Biden’s debate with Donald Trump.

Biden stammered, had long periods of silence and intense, confused facial expressions, to the point some of his most vocal supporters broke ranks and demanded he relinquish the nomination.

Jill Biden released a memoir, “View from the East Wing,” which touched on the debate moment. Biden wrote that she thought Joe might have had a stroke.

“I wasn’t horrified. I was frightened,” Jill Biden recalled in a May interview.

“I had never ever seen Joe like that before or since,” the first lady said. “I don’t know what happened. As I watched it, I said, ‘Oh my God, he’s having a stroke.’ It scared me to death.”

She told Lima she and the president had doctors around them at all times, and she was told Joe was OK that night before they went on to do more events.

“It was like such an aberration,” she added.

Democrats and others have pushed back on Jill’s book tour and the re-hashing of 2024, a sore point for the party after former Vice President Kamala Harris ultimately lost to President Trump.

Andrew Bates, a former Biden spokesperson, said of Jill Biden’s book, “I don’t see why that painful conversation for the party needed to be publicly reopened right now.”

The former first lady responded to Bates, “I want to say to Andrew: Call me up, and say it to my face, buddy.”

Matt Dallek, a George Washington University professor of political management, told Fox News Digital in a statement that while the memoir tour and rehashing of 2024 likely wouldn’t matter to voters ahead of the midterms or 2028, members of the Democratic Party see the Bidens as focused on the past.

“Democrats seem to feel like they’re focused on the past, they’re focused on Trump coming back to power,” Dallek said. “They’re focused on the perceived sense of failure of Biden and his unpopularity as he left office.

“I think that the memoir tour, the various appearances by — whether it’s Jill Biden or Hunter Biden — I think there’s still, you know, a lot of affection for Joe Biden, for the Bidens in the Democratic Party. There’s also, I think, a certain amount of pain associated with the memory of the Biden presidency and especially the last kind of year or two,” he told Fox News Digital in a statement.

The former president is expected to release his own book recounting his presidency in November after the midterm elections.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Steer Clear of Tense Encounter

0

Jennifer Lopez managed to sidestep what could have been an uncomfortable encounter with her ex-husband Ben Affleck on Thursday, a date marking what would have been their fourth wedding anniversary.

The renowned “If You Had My Love” singer, aged 57, was seen making her way to the office complex of the 54-year-old actor. Notably, a plum-colored $360,000 Cadillac Celestiq, presumably belonging to Affleck, was visible parked in the garage.

Lopez made an eye-catching entrance, donning an almost backless white halter-top paired with beige trousers, further accentuated by a sophisticated black Dior handbag, as she entered the building.

Concurrently, Affleck was photographed leaving the premises, exuding a stern demeanor in a striped button-down shirt as he drove away.

Whether the former couple, often referred to as Bennifer, crossed paths inside the office remains uncertain.

The superstar duo famously tied the knot in a breathtaking wedding ceremony at his $8.9 million Georgia mansion on August 20, 2022, just a month after they secretly said ‘I do’ in a small Las Vegas elopement.

The two weddings came decades after the pair – who first met while filming the 2003 romantic-comedy Gigli in December 2001 – originally dated in 2002 before calling off their engagement in 2004.

But despite rekindling their love, the fairytale came to an end once again when Lopez filed for divorce in 2024.

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Lopez and Affleck for comment.

Last month Lopez seemingly hinted that her life is ‘better’ following her divorce from Affleck as she celebrated turning 57.

The songstress shared a glowing video of herself during a car ride to her Instagram page, as she rang in the special milestone.

‘When you keep going it just keeps getting better,’ her caption read.

That same month a source told The Daily Mail that Lopez ‘doesn’t want to have to see Ben all the time’ but the friendship between their children keeps the ‘connected.’

Lopez’s child Oskar, 18, and Affleck’s 17-year-old Fin are inseparable, forcing the famous exes to keep a line of communication despite their divorce, which was finalized in January 2025.

Lopez shares twins Oskar and Max with ex-husband Marc Anthony, 57, who recently welcomed his eight child with his fourth wife – model Nadia Ferreira, 27. He was married to the singer from 2004 until 2014.

Meanwhile Affleck shares his kids – Violet, 20, Samuel, 14, and Fin – with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, 54. The two were married from 2005 until 2018.

Lopez’s and Affleck’s marital home – the sprawling $61 million mega mansion in Beverly Hills purchased in May 2023 – has proved to be another pain point for the star.

She and Affleck listed the property in July 2024 but have since made several price cuts, with it currently listed for $49.9 million. Hopes for it to be sold soon, however, were dashed last month when a potential buyer reportedly fell through.

In April, court documents suggested Affleck, who now lives in a $20 million bachelor pad in the Pacific Palisades, handed over his entire interest in their mansion to Lopez, who has settled into her $21 million mansion in Hidden Hills.

Sources told TMZ the actor effectively ‘gave up’ his share of the compound ‘for free,’ leaving Lopez in line to take any profits from the sale.

In May, Lopez gave fans a glimpse at the $18 million bachelorette pad she bought in Hidden Hills, California following her divorce.

Lopez purchased the 8,600-square-foot equestrian estate in Hidden Hills in February 2025.

The New England inspired house is situated on 2.5 acres and is fully gated for privacy with mature trees lining the backyard so no one can see in.

The main house has five bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a gourmet chef’s kitchen and a custom home theater.

There is also a guest house, a pool house, a swimming pool with attached hot tub and full equestrian facilities with a five-stall barn, a tack room, and a private riding arena.

Discover Anthony Edwards’ Family: Meet the NBA Star’s Kids

Anthony Edwards, a standout player for the Minnesota Timberwolves, finds himself under the public eye once more, courtesy of a recent ruling regarding child support obligations.

In a court decision, Edwards has been directed to provide $14,000 monthly in child support for his son Amir. As a father, Edwards has welcomed four children with four different women.

The basketball sensation is a father to three daughters and one son, all born remarkably close together. His firstborn, Aris, arrived in September 2023. She was soon followed by Amir in October of the same year, Aislynn in March 2024, and finally Aubri’ in October 2024.

Edwards’s children were born from relationships with four women: Daja Carlyle, Alexandria Desroches, Shannon Jackson, and Ayesha Howard.

Here’s a closer look at the children of Anthony Edwards, the prominent NBA star.

Aris Ariel Carlyle

Aris Ariel Carlyle was born in September 2023 to Edwards and Daja Carlyle.

Edwards has kept his relationship with Aris out of the public eye, so not much is known about the 2-year-old.

Much of the information surrounding the father and daughter has instead emerged through court proceedings. Edwards filed a paternity case involving Aris and sought to establish custody and child support.

He and Carlyle later reached a confidential agreement, keeping the details of their parenting arrangement private.

Amir

Edwards’ only son, Amir, was born in October 2023 to Alexandria Desroches.

Like Aris, Amir has largely remained out of the spotlight. Edwards recently revealed that he has never met the 2-year-old in person.

The admission came during a child support case with Desroches. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Edwards testified under oath that he has not met Amir and is not seeking parenting time with him.

In August 2026, a judge ordered Edwards to pay $14,000 per month in child support for his son.

Aislynn

Edwards welcomed daughter Aislynn with Shannon Jackson on March 1, 2024.

Her birth came on a game night for Edwards. He played the first half of the Timberwolves’ matchup against the Sacramento Kings before leaving at halftime to be there for Aislynn’s arrival.

Aislynn has since become the child fans have seen the most of. Edwards has shared photos of his little girl and affectionately calls her “Aisy Paisy,” while Jackson calls her “Ladybug.”

The nickname inspired Aislynn’s first birthday celebration, which featured a ladybug theme.

Jackson has also shared glimpses of her daughter’s personality and the impact she has had on their family. In a message celebrating Aislynn, she said becoming her mom taught her patience and described her daughter as bringing “peace” into their lives.

Aislynn has attended some of her dad’s games and traveled to Paris with her parents during the 2024 Olympics.

After scoring 43 points against the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2025 NBA playoffs, Edwards spoke about having his daughter there to watch him play.

Edwards and Jackson tied the knot in July 2026 after several years together.

Aubri’ Summers

Edwards’ youngest child, Aubri’ Summers, was born in October 2024 to Ayesha Howard.

Howard introduced her daughter on social media following her birth, sharing photos from her pregnancy and glimpses of Aubri’ with her followers.

Edwards filed a paternity petition shortly before Aubri’ was born and requested DNA testing to determine whether he was her father. His paternity was later established.

Since then, Edwards and Howard have been involved in a legal battle over child support.

Last month, a Georgia judge ordered Edwards to pay $3,222 per month in support for his daughter. Court records showed that he had already paid $110,000 before the final amount was determined.

Howard has sole physical and legal custody of Aubri’.

Prince Harry’s Joyful Return to UK: His Relieved First Look

Royal family

A renowned body language specialist has turned the spotlight on the Duke of Sussex, analyzing his conduct at a recent event following news of his and Meghan Markle’s anticipated return to England with their children.

With the buzz surrounding their return to the U.K., Prince Harry made an appearance at a Washington, D.C. event focused on advocating for veterans. During the event, questions about his family’s homecoming were inevitable, and his response remained tightly sealed.

The prince chose to keep his words sparse, asserting he had “nothing to say.” Nevertheless, as per the insights of the body language expert, Harry’s unspoken sentiments about the transition were vividly manifest in his expressions and gestures, offering more than any words might convey.

Darren Stanton is a body language and behavioral expert. He has a degree in psychology and previously worked as a police officer, using his expertise to uncover the truth when interviewing hundreds of suspects. He later moved into media and has been dubbed the “Human Lie Detector.” Stanton now offers his expert analysis on high-profile public figures such as the royals. He analyzed photos from the function and noticed just how “genuinely happy” the duke appeared.

Speaking on behalf of Betfair Casino, Stanton told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “What really stands out to me is just how elated and relaxed he appears at the prospect of returning to the U.K. From a body language perspective, there’s been a really noticeable shift in him. In this footage, his posture is much more open and relaxed. His shoulders are dropped rather than raised or tense, and there’s a general lack of the physical signs we often associate with stress.

“His facial expressions are also really telling. We’re seeing genuine signs of happiness, including the crow’s feet around the eyes and the upward movement of the cheek muscles, which are much harder to replicate consciously. These are the sorts of cues we often see when Harry is genuinely enjoying himself, such as when he’s attending events like the Invictus Games.”

Stanton continued, “What’s particularly interesting is the contrast with what we’ve seen of Harry in recent years. When he’s under pressure, his body language can become much more closed and tense. His shoulders tend to rise, we can see increased color in his face, and there are often micro-expressions of anger, along with lip suppression and other signs of emotional restraint. In this instance, we’re seeing almost the complete opposite.

“I think that’s what makes this particularly interesting from a body language perspective. Whatever has been happening behind the scenes, Harry appears to be feeling a lot more positive and hopeful. There’s a sense of relief and genuine excitement, rather than worry about what is to come. This suggests that the prospect of being back in the U.K. and potentially being reunited with members of his family is something that is making him genuinely happy”

The expert added, “What will be particularly interesting is seeing Harry’s body language in future interactions with the king and other members of the royal family. That will give us a much clearer indication of whether those bridges have been rebuilt. For now, though, purely from Harry’s own body language, he looks like a man who feels an enormous amount of relief. He appears genuinely happy, relaxed and, perhaps most importantly, comfortable with the prospect of coming home.”

Showbiz Cheat Sheet acknowledges that conditions and cultures can impact body language and is sensitive to all backgrounds.

Lindsay Clancy’s Former Husband Remarries and Begins New Chapter During Her Murder Trial

For those experiencing distress or contemplating suicide, reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1800-273-TALK (8255).

As Patrick Clancy took the witness stand in the trial concerning his former wife, he had already embarked on a new chapter in New York City, leaving behind the tragedy that struck his family four hours away in Duxbury, Massachusetts. It was there that Lindsay Clancy had tragically ended the lives of their children.

Lindsay Clancy, 36, stands accused of the first-degree murder of her three young children — Cora, Dawson, and Callan. These innocent lives were lost to strangulation within their home in January 2023. Prosecutors recently wrapped up their evidence presentation, while her defense contends that Lindsay was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time of the incident.

Since these events, Patrick Clancy has reshaped his life. Once a business applications sales executive at Microsoft, he now resides in New York City. After divorcing Lindsay, he remarried Dr. Rachel Danis amidst the backdrop of Central Park in spring 2026. Reports suggest she moved into his apartment on the Upper East Side a year prior, in 2025.

He moved to New York City in spring 2023, just months after Lindsay Clancy killed her three children, according to public records obtained by the New York Post, and filed for divorce in February 2024.

Kevin Reddington, Lindsay Clancy’s defense attorney, said in court that Patrick “suffered one of the worst tragedies that anyone could ever suffer.”

“How that guy is not an emotional basketcase is beyond me, and he is trying hard to move on with his life. As the court is aware, they’re divorced, he’s remarried, he has a family,” Reddington said.

Danis and Patrick Clancy have no children together, though she has spoken publicly about wanting to become a mother.

“I remember when I first froze my eggs, I felt like, I mean, even sometimes still, feel like this black sheep,” she said on the Fertility Forward podcast in September 2024. “I think for women, it’s just really hard. We have so much pressure to balance career and personal growth, but like, we’re riddled with this fertility stuff.”

Patrick Clancy was seen with his wife, Rachel Danis, on Aug. 13 at an apartment in Manhattan, a source told TMZ.

A shared passion for hiking and fitness brought the couple together, Men’s Journal reported.

Patrick Clancy, along with family members, founded the Heard Foundation, which seeks to “change how parents are cared for—so no parent faces perinatal mental illness in silence and no family is left behind.”

According to the foundation’s website, it was “founded in memory of Cora, Dawson, and Callan Clancy.”

Just days after Lindsay Clancy killed her kids in January 2023, Patrick wrote on a GoFundMe page, “I want to ask all of you that you find it deep within yourselves to forgive Lindsay, as I have…The real Lindsay was generously loving and caring towards everyone – me, our kids, family, friends, and her patients.”

“The very fibers of her soul are loving. All I wish for her now is that she can somehow find peace,” he wrote.

Patrick Clancy remained composed while testifying in his ex-wife’s murder trial, though he struggled to hold back tears as he spoke about his children.

“Cora was into princesses and she had a lot of friends,” Patrick Clancy said. “She just liked taking care of people.”

He said that Callan, the youngest child, “was just a happy baby.”

Patrick Clancy said Dawson “liked the television show Paw Patrol” and was into firefighters and trucks.

Donna Rotunno, a criminal defense attorney, noted in an interview with News Media that Patrick Clancy’s own mother, Susan Clancy, was a witness for the defense.

“She is extremely sympathetic to what Lindsay was going through. And if you thought that, you know, anybody would wanna be upset about the loss of their grandchildren, it would be her, correct? She’s the father’s mother, and she’s there supporting Lindsay so much so that she nodded to her as she walked out of the courtroom in this unbelievable, I think, show of humanity,” Rotunno said.

Sheila Cavanaugh, a board-certified chaplain at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, testified Thursday that during her visit with Lindsay Clancy on Jan. 31, 2023 — just days after she killed her children — the woman accused of murder told her, “I am so glad my children are safe.”

Married Doctor’s Affair With Stripper: Regrets and Revelations

0

A prominent New York doctor, embroiled in a courtroom saga with a former Long Island stripper he once had an affair with, has labeled the relationship the “worst mistake of my life,” as disclosed in recent legal documents.

Dr. Keith Hoerning, a 51-year-old affluent family physician, responded to accusations from his 39-year-old former mistress, Rosana Kissoon, by submitting a court filing on Thursday. This filing included screenshots purportedly showing text exchanges that illustrate the dancer’s mounting threats as their once-passionate romance unraveled, the Daily Mail reported.

Previously, Rosana Kissoon initiated a $1 million lawsuit in Suffolk County court against Hoerning, claiming an 18-month tryst bursting with affectionate “I love you” texts. This legal action followed Hoerning’s attempt to have her arrested as their illicit relationship disintegrated, as detailed in earlier reports by The Post.

Describing the affair as the most regrettable decision of his life, the married doctor asserted that the significant sums of money he gave to the exotic dancer were not tokens of affection. Instead, they were responses to her increasing demands—a desperate bid to thwart her threats to destroy his family and harm his father-in-law, according to the filings accessed by the Mail.

In one of the alleged text conversations, Kissoon inquired of her married paramour, “Are u willing to pay me to let this go and leave u alone?” This was succeeded by a series of messages expressing her frustration that Hoerning prioritized time with his wife over her.

“All I wanted was for you to try and make us happy. You never even try,” Kissoon allegedly wrote. “U are only doing this for that relationship not ours.”

But other exchanges between the pair paint a much more sordid picture of their scandalous lovefest.

Kissoon allegedly threatened the life of Hoerning’s father-in-law after suggesting he was standing in the way of their illicit affair, one text exchange shows.

“I will get him killed,” the stripper allegedly wrote. “If he’s why we cant be together.”

Hoerning then allegedly responded with “I don’t want you to hurt anyone,” and repeatedly begged her to stop.

In another exchange, Kissoon allegedly ordered Hoerning, “From now on you will only pay me,” and followed up with another text minutes later declaring, “I want u dead.”

“If i [cant] be with u I’ll end ur family,” Kissoon allegedly threatened.

The married doctor allegedly apologized to Kissoon and wrote, “I’m sorry,” and “I don’t understand what happened.”

Other alleged text exchanges reveal the pair fought over the exotic dancer blowing up the affair and exposing Hoerning’s infidelities to his wife and demanding money.

“I want it all,” Kissoon allegedly wrote. “You said you will pay for my car…You want her ok…It will be a price ok.”

“I can’t be if you keep acting this way,” Hoerning allegedly replied, and later admitted “I paid bc you told me.”

Kissoon allegedly admitted in another text thread, “It’s over…I never cared about u…I used u,” followed by nine separate messages that read, “I want to call her,” seemingly referencing Hoerning’s wife, Nicole.

“I don’t know why u are being like this…Please stop…Pleas [sic] just stop,” Hoerning allegedly begs in response.

In a sworn affirmation, Hoerning admitted, “I met Rosana Kissoon and developed a relationship with her that reflects the worst mistake of my life.”

“Capitalizing on my mistake, Ms Kissoon began demanding money from me on the threat of exposing our secret relationship to my family, and she engaged in other threatening and menacing behavior.”

“The present lawsuit appears to be an attempt to continue menacing and embarrassing me, now out in the spotlight of public litigation filings, even though the suit is completely meritless on its substance,” Hoerning claimed.

Hoerning’s attorneys argue that the messages between the pair demonstrate Kissoon was using the threat of exposing their affair as a way to elicit money from Hoerning.

However, Kissoon disputed the claim and alleged that the payments were instead voluntary financial support during the relationship.

Kissoon’s attorney, Michael Treanor previously rejected allegations that his client pursued Hoerning for financial gain and insisted she believed the couple were building a life together, according to the Mail.

“When I took on this case, it didn’t strike me as a gold-digger situation,” Treanor previously told the publication. “It struck me that she cared for him.”

“She found out she wasn’t going to have that, and then Keith brought the whole legal system and judicial and police force on her,” he added.

On Thursday, companions and fellow bikers flocked to The Salt Shed, paying homage to Mehnoosh Hatam, an esteemed figure within Chicago’s motorcycling circles, who perished in the heartbreaking overnight crash.

Hatam’s identity was confirmed by her grieving friends and family following the tragic incident. Members of the Chicago United Riders convened for an evening ride, solemnly dedicated to honoring her legacy.

In heartfelt remembrance, group members penned their tributes on a memorial cross, destined to mark the site of her untimely demise.

Hatam, 49, was a member of Chicago United Riders and the founder of a motorbike crew called Illinois Riders Escape. Friends said she advocated for female riders and was known within the riding community for looking out for others.

“Just every single ride that we’ve had with her, every second that we’ve spent with her. She was such an incredible person,” George Nicholson of Chicago United Riders said.

According to Chicago police, the crash happened about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on DuSable Lake Shore Drive near Navy Pier. Police said a 25-year-old woman driving a gray sedan southbound struck Hatam, who was riding a motorcycle in the same direction.

Close friends said Hatam was headed home from work at the time of the crash.

Hatam was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where she died.

“Anytime we were out there on these rides, if something happened, she was the one to pull over and check on you. She would never leave you behind. She always made sure everybody was safe, so it hard to be here without her,” Laura Burnes of Chicago United Riders said.

Fellow rider Mike Dobiga said Hatam had planned to attend the gathering before the crash.

“We know that she was planning on being here tonight, that about ten minutes before that accident, she was talking about her plans to come here. So one of the things we definitely want this ride to be tonight is we want it to be as fun as she expected it to be,” Dobiga said.

Police said the 25-year-old driver was not injured and was taken into custody. Charges and citations are pending.

The Real Reason Pete Hegseth’s Wife Always Stays by His Side

0

Once known for his brash persona in the media landscape, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has shifted gears, crafting a powerful political duo with his wife, Jennifer Hegseth. Nowadays, wherever he goes, Jennifer isn’t far behind.

According to several accounts, Jennifer has become an indispensable ally to Pete, wielding significant influence. She’s actively involved in interviewing potential staff members, managing public presence, and crafting the department’s video content. Moreover, she’s often by Pete’s side during major press interviews.

These revelations came to light in a detailed New York Times article released on Wednesday. The piece drew on insights from 20 people, including current and former officials, as well as individuals close to Jennifer, painting a clear picture of her impact.

An insider noted that the 49-year-old Jennifer’s constant presence beside her husband isn’t without reason. With Pete having faced previous allegations regarding alcohol misuse, he relies on her guidance to maintain his focus and stay on track.

This close partnership has not been without its ripple effects. At a sensitive briefing on military intelligence sharing with Ukraine last year, involving both US and UK officials, British participants chose to keep their remarks general, uneasy with Jennifer Hegseth’s unexpected attendance.

It ultimately forced them to hold a smaller, more detailed follow-up meeting without her.

The underlying reason for her constant presence traces back to concerns over the former Fox News host’s past.

Having faced a challenging confirmation due largely to a history of drinking and repeated accusations of alcohol abuse, Hegseth reportedly relies heavily on his wife’s supervision.

As one insider explained to the Times that he counts on her to keep him out of trouble at all times.

Expecting a simple introductory conversation when Jennifer called him in, former Pentagon chief spokesperson John Ullyot – who resigned after three months – was instead subjected to a 40-minute torrent of ‘unexpectedly detailed and hard-edged questions.’

‘It’s bonkers that a defense secretary would involve his wife in his sensitive official duties, including sharing details of an impending military operation, and face zero consequences,’ Ullyot told The Times, adding that any president ‘deserves better judgment’ from his leaders.

Joel Valdez, the DOD spokesperson, compared Ullyot’s actions as similar to a ‘crazy ex’ while saying he had been ‘exiled from the MAGA movement by Donald Trump Jr.’

Coming to her defense, lead Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell described Hegseth’s wife as ‘an accomplished leader in her own right and a devoted military spouse.’

‘The Defense Department not only welcomes her current leadership but actively plans to involve her even more deeply in the future,’ he said.

Hegseth said in an interview in 2024: ‘My Jenny, my wife, Jennifer, changed my life, saved me, there’s just no doubt about it. And without those two Js, I wouldn’t be sitting here right now.’

The other ‘J’ Hegseth was referring to, is Jesus.

Jennifer met her husband in 2016 when they both worked at Fox News, and were both married to other people.

They got married years later in 2019.
