DCLM Daily Manna 17 March 2026 — Heavenly Mindset

DCLM Daily Manna 17 March 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Heavenly Mindset

TOPIC: Heavenly Mindset (DCLM Daily Manna 17 March 2026)

KEY VERSE: Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth – Colossians 3:2

TEXT: Colossians 3:1-3 (KJV)

1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

The Pilgrim’s Progress of John Bunyan has remained an instructional manual for Christians since it was published in 1678. The vanity fair in the book is a global market that attracts traders from every country. The merchandise includes houses, businesses, promotions, honours, kingdoms, precious stones and all worldly pleasures. The fair is on the way to the Celestial City, and all who desire to go to that heavenly city ‘would have to leave the world’. In practical terms, they must close their ears to the beckoning of the vendors and ‘look upwards’ to avoid focusing on ‘worthless things’.

Like Christian in The Pilgrim’s Progress, Apostle Paul calls believers to have a heavenly mindset and not be weighed down by earthly pursuits. Human beings are created with feelings and desires. Our passion often influences our actions, and the correct mindset will aid the accomplishment of our goals. Christians have died and risen with Christ. They are on the narrow road to heaven. Although they are in the world, they are not of the world. Therefore, they must not be preoccupied with temporary or earthly things but focus on eternal realities.

Setting our affections on heavenly things involves the choices we make daily. It requires discipline and devotion. We must filter our desires and renew our hearts by the transformative power of the Word of God. We must live with eternity in view as strangers and pilgrims in the world. We must prioritise God’s kingdom above our desires and satisfaction.

The reward at the end of the journey is incredible. The Bible says, “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” Martin Luther said, “I would not give one moment of heaven for all the joy and riches of the world, even if it lasted for thousands and thousands of years.”

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The road you tread determines your destination.

Premier League Match Suspended for the First Time Due to Racist Abuse as Sunderland’s Lutsharel Geertruida Alerts Referee to Newcastle Supporters’ Conduct

0

For the first time in Premier League history, an anti-racism protocol halted a match when Sunderland’s Lutsharel Geertruida reported racial abuse from spectators during their derby against Newcastle on Sunday.

The game was initially stopped in the second half due to an injury sustained by Sven Botman, who had been struck by a high boot.

However, the break in play extended beyond the injury as referee Anthony Taylor summoned Newcastle’s captain, Kieran Trippier, to the sidelines for a discussion involving both teams’ benches and a security official.

A joint statement from the clubs explained: “Today’s fixture between Newcastle United and Sunderland was temporarily halted in the second half following a report of discriminatory abuse aimed at Sunderland’s Lutsharel Geertruida from the stands.

“This action aligns with the Premier League’s on-field anti-discrimination measures. A thorough investigation into the incident at St James’ Park will follow.”

‘We offer our full support to the player and both clubs. Racism has no place in our game, or anywhere in society.

‘We will continue to work with stakeholders and authorities to ensure our stadiums are an inclusive and welcoming environment for all.’

After heading back on to the pitch, Taylor spoke with Sunderland captain Granit Xhaka before he restarted the game.

Xhaka had originally alerted Taylor to what had gone on during the initial stoppage after running over to him having talked to his team-mate.

Geertruida’s side emerged victorious in the end, with Brian Brobbey netting a dramatic 90th-minute winner after Chemsdine Talbi cancelled out Anthony Gordon’s opener.

The victory extended Sunderland’s unbeaten Premier League run against their arch-rivals to 11 games in what was the first meeting between the two sides at St James’ Park since 2016.

However, the game was also marred by chaotic seasons ahead of kick off when both sets of fans clashed outside of the stadium.

One video showed Sunderland fans holding their heads after being struck by bottles thrown as they made their way to the ground amid the clashes.

Daily Mail Sport’s CRAIG HOPE reported that one individual received CPR before being taken away by emergency services, although it is unclear if that was related to the tensions.

Posting on X, he said: ‘Fighting outside of St James’ Park. One fan appeared in a bad way. CPR administered before being taken away. Not good.’

The coach driving the Sunderland players was also pelted with bottles as it tried to leave the area – and each bottle that hit the vehicle was greeted by cheers.

Reports suggested the coach was left with a big crack on the windscreen.

The chaos arose after a group of Sunderland supporters made the decision to walk to the stadium without a police escort.

The majority of Sunderland fans travelled from Newcastle train station to the stadium with Northumbria Police, who largely did a good job of keeping both sets of supporters apart.

Newcastle fans had congregated outside the Sandman Hotel, which is just outside the ground, and were producing a raucous atmosphere with flares alight alongside plenty of chanting.

The first group of Sunderland supporters managed to get through without trouble, although cans, bottles and drinks were thrown at them as they passed.

However, a second group of fans had no such luck after they unveiled a Sunderland flag on their way through, with punches thrown and missiles hurled.

The flag was taken off them by home supporters and police quickly moved to separate the rival groups, who even clashed with authorities.

Videos from the incident demonstrated the chaotic scenes as sirens sounded in the background while police rushed around.

To add to the drama, the road still appeared to be open to the public as some cars drove through slowly.

A Northumbria Police statement later said: ‘We are aware of a number of videos circulating on social media in relation to Newcastle United and Sunderland supporters goading one another.

‘In the main, everyone has cooperated and we are able to report that one arrest was made ahead of kick-off.

‘We will continue to have an increased police presence in the city centre.’

Denise Richards Stuns Fans with Dramatic Facelift Transformation: Exclusive Before-and-After Photos Unveiled

Denise Richards is known for her candidness, whether it pertains to her personal life or her experiences in the public eye. Recently, she has been open about her journey with cosmetic surgery.

In a heartfelt Instagram post on March 21, Dr. Ben Talei, a renowned facial plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, shared a glowing endorsement of Richards. “Denise Richards is truly one of the most delightful and stunning individuals to grace this planet,” he stated in a joint message with Richards.

Dr. Talei expressed his gratitude for being entrusted with Richards’ cosmetic restoration, emphasizing the importance of preserving her unique character and beauty. He explained, “Describing my surgical techniques in a single paragraph is challenging because each procedure is distinct and lacks a standard comparison. Every millimeter, from top to bottom in any photo, reveals noticeable enhancements.”

The surgeon also highlighted that he pays attention to details often overlooked by others, such as the alignment of eyebrow hairs and the shape of the forehead. He noted how aging brings subtle changes, like the disorganization of eyebrow hair patterns.

Denise Richards Is Feeling ‘Healthy and Confident’ After Getting Her Ruptured Breast Implants Redone

Denise Richards, 54, recently shared on Instagram her decision to undergo breast revision surgery after both implants ruptured during the third season of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.” In the video, Richards expressed relief and happiness, noting she already feels “pretty good” after the surgery, stating, “I’m so happy.”

In the shared Saturday upload, Richards and her physician shared jaw-dropping before-and-after photos of the actress, detailing how she looked pre- and post-surgery. The change was noticeable, with many saying as much in the comments section.

“Absolutely stunning result,” read one comment. “Absolutely amazing,” another wrote. “She is such a beauty — and she’s right back to her Wild Things face.”

Dr. Talei continued to detail the changes he made to Richard’s face.

“If you look at the after photo, you can see how much more organized they look from the three dimensional changes I’m able to make,” he wrote. “If you look at the forehead contours from the side view, you can see how young in the shape looks now. Her stunning, gorgeous eyes were restored rather than changed or just cleaned up. Even her earlobes look better from all views. The sad or tired look around the eyes and mouth have been neutralized and reversed.”

Richards opened up about the procedure in a Friday, March 20, interview with Allure.

“I wanted to put things back up, where they were before,” Richards told the publication, adding that she “was terrified” of the procedure despite having breast augmentation at 19 and a subsequent revision surgery for her implants.

Denise Richards Shows Off Her Curves in a Push-Up Bodysuit After Breast Revision Surgery

Denise Richards is embracing her cleavage again. Richards, 54, proudly showed off her curves after getting breast revision surgery, posing in a skin-tight black bodysuit at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles on Monday, September 1. As she struck a pose, the actress flaunted her figure in a push-up design featuring a plunging neckline, thin […]

“Being in the public eye since my 20s, people know what I look like — a facelift is not something that I could hide.”
Dr. Talei thanked his patient for being willing to share her experience with the public.

“I’m so grateful to Denise for being so open about the procedure,” he wrote on Saturday. “She’s been through so much this past year and her resilience is just astounding. She has a golden heart and her golden face is hers again.”

Rhapsody Of Realities 17 March 2026: The Word Expressed In You

Rhapsody Of Realities 17 March 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): The Word Expressed In You

TOPIC: The Word Expressed In You (Rhapsody of Realities 17 March 2026)

But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God (2 Corinthians 4:2).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

There’s a difference between telling the truth and the manifestation of the truth. Our opening scripture isn’t talking about merely being truthful about a matter or subject; rather, it’s about living the Word, for the Word is truth (John 17:17).

The manifestation of truth, therefore, is the manifestation of the Word, the Word expressed in and through you. It’s when your life becomes a living Bible, so much so that others can literally read the Word of God in you. That’s Christianity! It’s life in the Word, by the Word and through the Word.

We’re the offspring of the Word. 1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” You’re born of the Word and therefore are called to express the Word. Your life is the unveiling of the Word of God. James 1:18 says, “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.”

This should further help you understand why the Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, declares that we’re the epistles of Christ: “Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart” (2 Corinthians 3:3).

Every step the Lord Jesus took when He walked the earth was the Word of God in action. He’s the living, active, incarnate Word: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…” (John 1:14). 1 John 4:17 says, “…as he is, so are we in this world.” You’re the Word alive today, walking, talking, and blessing lives. Have this consciousness. Live the life God has called you to live: the manifestation of the truth.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you that your Word lives in me and is expressed through me. My life is a manifestation of truth, a living epistle read by men. I walk in the consciousness that I am the Word alive today, bringing blessing, illumination and righteousness to all in my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God’s divine nature takes absolute pre-eminence over my spirit, soul, and body. I refuse to let any contrary condition take root in me or affect anything that concerns me. I fear no adversary, for Christ has already obtained victory over the enemy and all his strategies.

Keep saying it, don’t stop talking it! Remember, you can make your way prosperous with words. Get talking today!

Remember to share with all your friends and loved ones today. Thank you and God bless you richly.

Cuba Works to Restore Electricity Following Third Major Outage This Month

HAVANA – Cuba has commenced the process of reestablishing its energy network, following a complete grid failure on Saturday that plunged millions into darkness for the third time this month.

Early on Sunday, reports from the state-run Electric Union and the Ministry of Energy and Mines indicated that electricity had been restored to approximately 72,000 customers in the capital, including five hospitals. However, this number represents only a small portion of Havana’s roughly 2 million residents.

To address the situation, localized power systems were implemented in Havana and other provinces such as Matanzas in the west and Holguin in the east, prioritizing essential facilities. Residents in some areas of the capital reported that power returned during the early hours of the morning.

Cuba is grappling with a severe energy crisis. The country’s outdated infrastructure has been deteriorating over time, but officials also attribute the blackouts to a U.S. energy blockade. In January, former President Donald Trump threatened tariffs against nations supplying oil to Cuba, demanding the release of political prisoners and steps towards political and economic reforms as conditions for lifting sanctions. Trump even suggested the possibility of a “friendly takeover” of Cuba.

Compounding Cuba’s energy woes is the cessation of vital oil deliveries from Venezuela, following the U.S. efforts to remove former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro. Venezuela had been a crucial ally, providing much-needed petroleum supplies to Havana.

President Miguel Díaz-Canel has said the island has not received oil from foreign suppliers for three months. Cuba produces barely 40% of the fuel it needs to power its economy.

Daily blackouts have a significant impact on the population, whose lives are disrupted by reduced work hours, lack of electricity for cooking and damage to household appliances, among many other consequences.

“With the blackout and low voltage, my refrigerator broke — that was today. The day before yesterday, the voltage also dropped around 10 at night,” Suleydi Crespo, a 33-year-old woman with two small children, told AP on Saturday. “If there’s no electricity tomorrow, we won’t be able to get water.”

Residents also expressed exhaustion from the constant outages, whether nationwide or partial.

The Cuban Electric Union, which reports to the Ministry of Energy and Mines, reported that the total disconnection of the national energy system was caused by an unexpected shutdown of a generation unit at the Nuevitas thermoelectric plant in Camaguey province, without providing details on the specific cause of the failure.

The last nationwide blackout occurred on Monday. It took several days to restore power.

Saturday’s outage was the second in the past week and the third in March.

“We have to get used to continuing our usual routine. What else can we do? We have to try to survive. Get used to events, with or without electricity,” said Dagnay Alarcón, a 35-year-old vendor.

Authorities and Díaz-Canel himself have acknowledged the seriousness of the current energy situation. The Vice Minister of Energy and Mines Argelio Abad Vigo explained this week that the country has gone three months without receiving supplies of diesel, fuel oil, gasoline, aviation fuel or liquefied petroleum gas — all vital for the economy and power generation.

Fuel sales for vehicles are rationed, airlines have suspended flights or reduced frequencies many workplaces have reduced hours.

Trump has for months suggested Cuba’s government is on the verge of collapse. After a previous time Cuba’s electric grid collapsed, Trump told reporters he believed he’d soon have “the honor of taking Cuba.”

Chicago Community Unites to Combat Rent Increases and Displacement Amid Obama Center Development

0

In Chicago, tenants living in rent-controlled apartments near a planned tribute to former President Barack Obama have reportedly come together to form a union. The initiative is a reaction to the contentious development project.

Occupants of a longstanding apartment complex in Woodlawn have united to combat potential eviction and rising rents, which they attribute to the development of the Obama Presidential Center in their vicinity.

Earlier this month, tenants of the Chaney Braggs Apartments gathered for a rally in front of their residence, located near the intersection of 65th Street and Stony Island Avenue. They expressed concern that a possible sale of the property could disrupt the lives of families who have resided there for many years, according to a report by FOX 32 Chicago.

Local residents revealed that a California-based investor is interested in purchasing the building, with plans to either renovate or demolish it. The tenants have been offered $2,000 per household to vacate, a sum they argue is insufficient for families to find new homes in an area undergoing swift transformation.

The anxiety among low-income tenants about displacement and increased rent is the latest criticism aimed at the Obama Presidential Center project. (Fox Flight Team; Getty)

Many residents currently pay between $700 and $800 a month in rent. Some say they have lived in the building for 30 or 40 years and fear they will not be able to find comparable housing in Woodlawn if rents rise or the property is redeveloped.

In response, residents have formed a tenant union to push back against the threat of displacement and preserve affordability in the building. They say the union first came together after the previous landlord abandoned the property about two years ago, forcing tenants to organize around maintenance issues and basic services.

Now, residents say that same network is being used to confront a larger challenge: staying in their homes as investment tied to the Obama Presidential Center reshapes the surrounding neighborhood.

The apartment building, tenants said, was once owned by a nonprofit committed to affordable housing and community stability. But with those protections no longer in place, residents say they are increasingly vulnerable to market pressures that have intensified as construction on the presidential center continues nearby.

No sale has been finalized, and the identity of the prospective buyer had not been publicly confirmed as of Thursday. Residents say they have contacted city and state officials for assistance but have not yet received a response.

The standoff underscores broader anxieties in Woodlawn, where the Obama Presidential Center has brought promises of jobs and investment alongside fears of gentrification and displacement. For tenants at Chaney Braggs Apartments, those concerns have become immediate and personal.

Residents say they plan to continue organizing while awaiting more information about the building’s future, possible rent increases and whether city officials will step in.

The Obama Presidential Center, set to open in Chicago’s South Side on June 18, is a 19.3-acre campus in Jackson Park featuring a 225-foot museum tower, library and community forum.

Obama, the first American Black president, is celebrating the grand opening of the over-budget building — called an eyesore by critics — on the eve of Juneteenth.

Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, and informed enslaved Black Americans there that they were free — more than two years after President Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation.

The holiday has been observed as a celebration of Black freedom, resilience and community, and in recent years has taken on broader national significance as both a commemoration of liberation and a reminder of the long struggle for racial justice in the United States.

Obama had once described the center as a “gift” to Chicago. It is a gift that keeps on costing.

A Fox News Digital investigation in February found taxpayers are absorbing hundreds of millions of dollars in related public infrastructure costs tied to the project. Those expenses include road redesigns, stormwater systems and utility relocations needed to support the 19.3-acre campus in Jackson Park. No government agency has provided a full accounting of the total public cost despite months of inquiries and Freedom of Information Act requests.

Initial projections put public infrastructure spending at about $350 million to be shared by the city of Chicago and the state of Illinois. Critics now argue those obligations have grown into a major public burden as the project has faced delays and mounting costs.

Chappell Roan Breaks Silence on Controversial Incident with Jude Law’s Daughter: Security Guard to Blame?

Chappell Roan has firmly denied claims that she caused Jude Law’s young daughter to cry during an incident in Brazil.

Taking to her Instagram Stories on Sunday, the “Good Luck, Babe!” artist shared her perspective on the event, involving a mother and child along with a security guard, who she clarified was not her personal security detail.

“I never encountered a woman and child during breakfast at my hotel. No one approached or disturbed me,” she recounted, suggesting the pair were possibly fellow hotel guests.

Roan, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, emphasized that she did not direct the security guard to interact with the woman and child, who were later identified as Law’s former partner Catherine Harding and their 11-year-old daughter, Ada.

“I didn’t instruct anyone to approach them, and they didn’t engage with me. They weren’t causing any issue,” the 28-year-old singer clarified.

“It’s unfair for security to just assume someone doesn’t have good intentions when they have no reason to believe because there’s no action even taken, like, that’s so not what I stand behind,” she added.

The pop star then stated that she does not “hate” people who are fans of her music.

“I do not hate children, like, that is crazy,” she added.

Roan concluded her video message by apologizing to Harding and Ada for the interaction with the security guard.

“I’m sorry to that mother and child that someone was assuming something that you would do something and that if you felt uncomfortable, that makes me really sad,” Roan said.

“You did not deserve that.”

Roan’s response came hours after Harding’s husband, Brazilian soccer star Jorginho Frello, blasted the singer and her security for causing his stepdaughter, Ada, to break down in tears at a hotel in São Paulo, Brazil.

Explore Enya’s Eco-Friendly Lifestyle: Living Off-Grid in a £2.5M Castle with Her 12 Cats

0

Enya stands as one of the world’s most successful music artists, boasting an impressive 80 million album sales. Artists such as FKA Twigs, Cynthia Erivo, and Nicki Minaj have all named her as a significant influence in their careers.

Despite her monumental success, Enya has opted for a life away from the public eye, residing in a secluded castle in Ireland. She only steps back into the limelight when promoting new music.

The 64-year-old Irish singer has chosen a solitary lifestyle, never marrying or having children. She shares her tranquil County Dublin castle with her 12 beloved cats.

Her serene way of life has captured the imagination of many, with a recent social media post about her lifestyle going viral. Actor Ncuti Gatwa commented, “Goals,” while author Dawn O’Porter simply stated, “Icon.”

Enya, celebrated for her ethereal voice, resides in the majestic Manderley Castle in Killiney, South Dublin. The estate offers breathtaking views of the Irish Sea, adding to its enchanting allure.

She purchased the building for £2.5million in 1997 and currently lives alone with only her cats for company.

Enya has an off-grid life in a £2.5million remote castle with no husband or children and just 12 her cats. The singer said she was 'dark and difficult' to be around and described marriage as 'horrific' (pictured at the Grammys in 2017)

Her next door neighbour is U2 frontman Bono and in a rare televised appearance on This Morning in 2016, she joked that the rocker popped round to borrow sugar.

She previously told The Guardian: ‘It’s very castle on the exterior, but it’s very much a home inside. It’s actually a very small castle and I fell in love with it.’

The performer has maintained a reclusive existence since she shot to super-stardom following the release of her global hit Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) in 1988.

Enya has never married or had children and at one stage was thought to share her residency with a total of 12 cats, although it is uncertain how many she still has.

Originally from Gweedore, Co Donegal in Ireland, Enya grew up as one of nine siblings.

Finding a love for the piano and singing, she joined the family’s Celtic music group Clannad before leaving two years later to move in with the band’s late producer Nicky Ryan and his wife Roma.

The three became writing partners, releasing her first album in 1987. But it was her second LP, Watermark, which featured her most well-known song Orinoco Flow (Sail Away) and launched her into stratospheric fame.

During her career, the threesome always worked together with Enya coming out of hiding to promote a record, but never touring and rarely performing live.

Nicky passed away last September, leaving behind his widow Roma. Enya’s song Dark Sky Island, which was the title track of their final album together, was played at his funeral.

Meanwhile, Enya’s last public appearance was at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

Even her family rarely see her, with her uncle Noel Duggan telling The Sun back in 2016: ‘We don’t see much of her. She lives like a queen. She is a recluse.’

A pal also told the publication that she is not a ‘barrel of laughs’ and isn’t someone you would go to the pub with.

The star’s success is an anomaly in an industry where constant touring, heavy radio play and public appearances are usually required to return strong record sales.

An industry insider told The Sun: ‘Throughout the music business there’s no one else who is so successful about whom so little is known. She doesn’t socialise, she’s barely seen out of the house, there aren’t any clues in her lyrics about her life.’

However, she has vehemently defended her lifestyle and approach to music.

‘It’s not a hanging offence not wanting to go to nightclubs,’ said the singer. ‘What happened to choice? My choice is that after a certain amount of promotion, I feel it gets very false and then I’m not interested.

‘When the album has been out for, say, ten months, people will start focusing on me and I really don’t want that. I love the music to be known, but I’m not after fame for myself.’

She told The Independent that she had ‘never tried to create an enigma’ but has always been an independent person.

Her passion for music has had an impact on her love life, although music is what’s most important to her.

Enya (third from right) was last seen last May as she enjoyed a rare night out at a wedding in Donegal, northwest Ireland

Enya previously said that after a day in the studio she could be ‘dark and difficult’ to be around and needs to be on her own.

She asked: ‘What sort of man would be able to adapt?

‘Falling madly in love and getting married would be the most horrific thing that could happen. My affairs are with melody and words and beautiful sounds,’ she explained.

She previously said: ‘There have been… relationships. It’s quite hard to have someone accept that – well, not that they are second to the music, but that I do need a certain amount of space for it. And even though the person will understand that at the beginning, there is something like jealousy towards the music after a while.’

The star once admitted she was a big Strictly fan, however was unsure if she would ever actually agree to do the show.

It is also no wonder Enya prefers a life out the spotlight after two terrifying stalker incidents throughout her life.

Back in 1996, she was stalked by an Italian man for over a year and he eventually turned up at her parent’s pub in Donegal wearing a pendant with her picture in.

The situation escalated when he was confronted and wounded himself with a knife.

Later in 2005, Enya was once again faced with an intruder who gained access to her castle and detained a housemaid while she took refuge in a panic room.

These events further cemented Enya’s decision to avoid public outings and fan meet-and-greets.

Enya was last seen last May as she enjoyed a rare night out at a wedding in Donegal, northwest Ireland.

The hitmaker smiled for the photo as she posed alongside her sister Moya Brennan, brother-in-law Tim Jarvis and members of the Irish dance group, Donegal Dancers.

The image was shared to the Donegal Dancers’ official Facebook page, as well as on Reddit, with fans quick to comment on how great Enya looked.

They penned: ‘She looks great after another decade! And her outfit, of course, is totally enya coded’; ‘Good to see our Enya. Moya is looking great too.’

Last November Enya made an appearance in the TG4 television documentary Glacaim Leat, which explored the legalisation of gay marriage in Ireland.

In the documentary, co-star Seán Mac Ruairí is briefly shown hugging Enya at the wedding she was pictured at in May.

Chappell Roan Issues Apology to Jude Law’s Daughter

Chappell Roan has issued an apology to Jude Law’s daughter, clarifying that she did not instruct any security personnel to approach her. This comes in the wake of accusations that her team left the young fan visibly upset.

Jorginho, a former Chelsea and Arsenal footballer, who is married to Catherine Harding, took to Instagram to express his dismay. He claimed that his wife’s daughter, shared with actor Jude Law, was allegedly confronted and intimidated by the singer’s bodyguard. The incident reportedly occurred when the 11-year-old noticed Roan at the same hotel.

The athlete criticized the Pink Pony Club singer in a public post, condemning the actions of her security team towards the child, who is believed to be Ada Law, though she was not explicitly named.

In response, Chappell Roan addressed the situation through a video on her Instagram Story. She explained, “I want to share my side of the story regarding the incident today involving a mother and child with a security guard who is not part of my personal security team.”

Roan elaborated, “I didn’t see anything. I wasn’t approached or disturbed by anyone. I was just having breakfast at my hotel, and it seems these individuals were staying there too. It’s concerning that a security guard who isn’t even directly associated with me was involved in this misunderstanding.”

‘I did not ask the security guard to go up and talk to this mother and child. I did not. They did not come up to me. I did not do anything. It’s unfair for security to just assume someone doesn’t have good intentions when they have no reason to believe it as there’s no action been taken.

‘I do not hate people who are fans of my music. I do not hate children, like that is crazy. I am sorry to the mother and child that someone was assuming something.

‘If you felt uncomfortable that makes me really sad. You did not deserve that.’

It seemed that the ordeal had an impact on Cat’s daughter, as The Voice contestant later posted on Instagram they decided to skip Chappell’s show.

Cat shared on Instagram that she and her daughter decided to skip Chappell’s show and posted an excited video of her after seeing Sabrina Carpenter in concert at the festival the day before.

She captioned the post: ‘This was Ada’s reaction yesterday to arriving to watch @sabrinacarpenter.

‘Our daughter decided she didn’t want to go to the show tonight after how we were treated… so instead we had a girls day shopping and then out to dinner.

‘Thank you everyone for the kind messages, all is well!’

In a lengthy Instagram statement, Jorginho publicly criticised Chappell’s security for threatening Cat’s daughter after she saw the star while having breakfast at their hotel.

He wrote: ‘I went through a very upsetting situation with my family earlier today.’

‘My wife (@catcavelli) is in Sao Paulo for @lollapaloozabr. This morning, my daughter woke up incredibly excited, she even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires, or used to admire.’

He continued: ‘By coincidence, they’re staying at the same hotel as this artist. During breakfast, the artist walked past their table. My daughter, like any child, recognized her, got excited, and just wanted to make sure it was really her.

‘And the worst part is she didn’t even approach her. She simply walked past the singer’s table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum. She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything.

Chappell has now responded, saying in a video on her Instagram Story: 'I'm gonna tell my half of the story of what happened today with a mother and child...'

‘What happened next was completely disproportionate. A large security guard came over to their table while they were still having breakfast and began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner to both my wife and my daughter, saying that she shouldn’t allow my daughter to “disrespect” or “harass” other people.

‘Honestly, I don’t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment. He even said he would file a complaint against them with the hotel, while my 11-year-old daughter was sitting there in tears. My daughter was extremely shaken and cried a lot.

‘I’ve lived with football, public exposure, and well-known people for many years, and I understand very well what respect and boundaries are. What happened there was not that. It was just a child admiring someone.

‘It’s sad to see this kind of treatment coming from those who should understand the importance of fans. At the end of the day, they are the ones who build all of this. I sincerely hope this serves as a moment of reflection. No one should have to go through this, especially not a child.’

Jorginho concluded: ‘@chappellroan WITHOUT YOUR FANS, YOU WOULD BE NOTHING. AND TO THE FANS, SHE DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR AFFECTION.’

Representatives for Chappell Roan did not immediately respond to the Daily Mail’s request for comment.

Jorginho’s post quickly went viral, and internet users did not hesitate to offer their input on the contentious altercation.

The story even caught the attention of Rio Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere, who banned Roan from performing in the city.

‘I mean that as long as I’m in charge of our city – this young lady @ChappelRoan will never perform at Todo Mundo no Rio! I doubt that Shakira would do that! By the way, @FrelloJorginho your little one is already the guest of honor from the organization in May!’ Cavaliere wrote in a translated post from Portuguese.

Roan has had an occasionally contentious relationship with her fans, with the artist previously calling out behavior that she considered ‘creepy’ and ‘invasive’ in previous social media posts.

In August 2024, around the time of her sudden rise in popularity, Roan posted a video to TikTok where she said, ‘I don’t care that abuse and harassment, stalking, whatever, is a normal thing to do to people who are famous or a little famous.

‘It’s weird how people think that you know a person because you see them online and you listen to the art they make … I’m allowed to say no to creepy behavior, okay?’

She followed that up with a lengthy post to Instagram, saying, ‘I want to be an artist for a very long time. I’ve been in too many nonconsensual physical and social interactions and I just need to lay it out and remind you, women don’t owe you s**t.’

Roan continued: ‘When I’m on stage, when I’m performing, when I’m in drag, when I’m at a work event, when I’m doing press…I am at work. Any other circumstance, I am not in work mode. I am clocked out.’

She added, ‘If you’re still asking, “Well, if you didn’t want this to happen, then why did you choose a career where you knew you wouldn’t be comfortable with the outcome of success?” – understand this: I embrace the success of the project, the love I feel, and the gratitude I have. What I do not accept are creepy people, being touched, and being followed.’

Jorginho and Harding married last year after four years of dating. In 2023, the departing Arsenal footballer got down on one knee for the singer, surrounded by red roses and candles, while being serenaded by a violinist.

The pair also starred together on fly-on-the-wall series Married To The Game, which premiered in February 2024, and follows the partners of some of the best Premier League footballers, shedding light on their lives beyond the pitch.

Catherine has previously spoken about the challenges of having a blended family, admitting it is difficult when different households have different rules for their children.

Catherine was 23 when she dated Jude, then 41, who was filming on location in the Czech Republic as he grew close to the aspiring musician.

He and his now wife Phillipa Coan also have two children – born in 2020 and 2023.

Chappell was previously blasted by Boy George over her self imposed boundaries with fans, as he insisted the singer should ‘own your fame and cheer up.’

The Culture Club frontman was responding to a viral video which shows Chappell filming herself as she confronts a group of fans who had allegedly been following her around Paris.

The video, filmed by an onlooker, shows Chappell telling her camera that she feels ‘disregarded as a human’.

‘I’m just trying to go to dinner, and I’ve asked these people several times to get away from me,’ she says. Chappell then focuses on one fan who continues to ask for an autograph.

The musician says: ‘This person I’ve asked several times to go away, and they will not… They’re hiding their face, because they’re ashamed.’

Boy George offered Chappell some advice, saying she should embrace the attention while she can as fame fades, insisting it’s all part of the package when you become a pop star.

Writing on X the Karma Chameleon hitmaker said: ‘It’s probably not helpful but I have been doing this fame thing for a while and you learn slowly and painfully that you don’t get a free pass once you turn yourself into a bird of paradise.’

‘I watched @ChappellRoan filming the paps in Paris and I laughed because I have kicked off at them many times. The trick is to own your fame.’

‘Yes, it’s annoying at times but so is being ignored and told your a “has-been”. Life is always now and I think Chappell looks great but cheer up girl.’

‘The world is at your feet stop kicking it! It takes so much more time to say no to a picture or a signature. Boundaries are boring. Break them with the magic of kindness!’

Some X users were quick to defend Chappell though with one replying to the post: ‘Why is everyone so eager to tell women to just take unwanted attention.’

In 2024 the Good Luck Babe! hitmaker slammed fans for ‘harassing’ her and ‘stalking’ behavior and said she doesn’t ‘give a f***’ if that makes her ‘selfish’.

She discussed dealing with attention on an episode of The Comment Section podcast and said at the time she had ‘pumped the brakes’ on fame.

‘People have started to be freaks, like, [they] follow me and know where my parents live, and where my sister works,’ she told host Drew Afualo. ‘All this weird s***.’

Chappell explained that she had made a promise to herself that she would stop making music if fans gave her ‘stalker vibes’ or made her family feel as if they were in any ‘danger.’

Chappell later stood by her stance on Instagram. In a lengthy statement, she wrote, ‘I’m not afraid of the consequences for demanding respect.’

The singer added, ‘This isn’t a new situation. Why is a girl expressing her fears and boundaries so infuriating?’

‘For the past 10 years I’ve been going non-stop to build my project and it’s come to the point that I need to draw lines and set boundaries.’

‘I don’t agree with the notion that I owe a mutual exchange of energy, time, or attention to people I do not know, do not trust, or who creep me out – just because they’re expressing admiration.’

The likes of Miley Cyrus have publicly defended Chappell. Miley revealed in 2024 that she had reached out to the rising star to offer support, and explained: ‘I wish people would not give her a hard time.’

‘It’s probably really hard coming into this business with phones and Instagram. That wasn’t always a part of my life, and I’m not a part of it now.’
