Court testimony reveals that Lindsay Clancy’s family expressed significant concern regarding her mental health during the months leading up to the tragic incident involving her three children.

Lindsay Clancy, 36, faces serious charges, including three counts of first-degree murder, following the deaths of her children Cora, Dawson, and Callan, who were all under the age of 6. The children were discovered strangled within the Clancy family’s Duxbury residence in 2023. On Monday morning, the prosecution wrapped up its case.

The jury, tasked with deciding the outcome of this tragic case, comprises 12 women and six men; of these, six serve as alternates.

During Tuesday’s proceedings, Lindsay Clancy’s mother-in-law, Susan Clancy, addressed the jury. She expressed her worries about Lindsay’s mental wellbeing during the 2022 holiday season, although she also affirmed that Lindsay was a devoted and loving mother.

Lindsay Clancy does not contest that she killed the children. She and her defense attorneys contend she was experiencing ongoing postpartum psychosis at the time of the deaths.

She has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.

“Lindsay was struggling. We were all very concerned,” Susan Clancy said. “She was very nurturing, very loving. She was a wonderful mother. Wonderful.”

Susan Clancy said she began seeing a decline in Lindsay’s mental health in November 2022.

“She reached out to me in November and told me that she felt unwell,” Susan Clancy said. “She felt…Mostly she had insomnia. She was losing her appetite. She was, very anxious and sad.”

“She was begging for help,” Susan Clancy said.

When asked if she ever saw Lindsay Clancy treat the children bad, her mother-in-law responded, “no.”

Paula Musgrove, Lindsay Clancy’s mother, also told jurors about the mental health problems. In an Oct. 20, 2022 text message, Lindsay Clancy asked her mother for help.

“Mom, will you please come up and stay with me for a bit? I’m really sick. Something is wrong. I had horrible insomnia all night, and I just don’t know how I am going to get through the day…It’s just really scary, and I don’t want to be alone,” the text read.

Musgrove said she wasn’t concerned about the children’s safety.

In a tragic incident at a Stellantis factory in Detroit, a worker met his end due to a malfunction involving a robotic arm. This unfortunate event unfolded as the facility was undergoing retooling.

The victim, Ronald Adams, aged 63, lost his life in April 2025 at the Dundee Engine Plant in Michigan. His death has been brought to light through a lawsuit recently filed. This factory is part of a larger conglomerate well-known for producing Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, and Ram vehicles.

Adams, who proudly served in the US Air Force, was diligently performing maintenance on a machine in the plant. At a certain moment, two of his colleagues decided to take a break, leaving him to handle the machinery alone. Tragically, this decision proved fatal.

Just a few minutes after their departure, one of these coworkers returned, only to be greeted by the heartbreaking sight of Adams— a devoted father and grandfather—trapped between a mechanical arm and a conveyor system.

Details from court filings, as reported by Detroit News, reveal how the colleagues promptly alerted emergency medical services and requested the assistance of an on-site electrician to lift the heavy arm off Adams, who was a skilled mechanic with a history of work at Northwest Airlines.

A worker said in a statement seen by the outlet that Adams was ‘hunched over with his right arm on conveyor,’ the robotic arm had his ‘right shoulder pinned,’ they said.

Three workers then worked with paramedic teams to move Adams from the conveyor belt to a stretcher. He was then rushed to hospital where he later died.  

A medical examiner later ruled that he died after suffering catastrophic crushing injuries and ‘traumatic asphyxia.’

According to a lawsuit filed by his widow Shamenia Stewart-Adams, also seen by the outlet, there were a lack of safety guards and safe work practices when Adams died.

The suit said that the lack of measures allowed the robotic arm to pin and crush Adams, who had worked in the plant for two decades. 

At the time of his death, Adams was working with a group to retool the plant as it prepared to start producing a new four-cylinder engine. 

He was working on a large industrial chamber washer that cleans out engine parts, with the robotic arm bringing components to and from the washer. 

According to the outlet, the lawsuit hinges on a safety mechanism for the washer that Adams’ estate claims was ‘electronically bypassed’ with a special key.

This alleged bypass allowed Adams to get to work even while the machinery around him, including the robotic arm, was not in the correct work-safe mode. 

Fives Cinetic Corp, who are named in the suit, supplied the washer to the plant and claimed in their response that the accident would not have happened if Stellantis had followed ‘safe work practices,’ the outlet reported. 

Court filings seen by the outlet also indicate that other factors may have played a part in his death. 

A worker reported an issue with the robotic system that killed Adams two days before the fatal incident, saying it would move while in ‘dry run’ mode. 

An attorney for Adams also told The Detroit News that there was no evidence to suggest that Adams was the one who used the key to disable the robot’s safety features before his death. 

Lawyers for Stellantis filed earlier this year to have the case dismissed, but Judge Catherine Heise denied the motion. 

Adams is one of three Stellantis workers in the US to have died in industrial incidents in the last two years. 

The first happened in Toledo, Ohio, in August of 2024 when Antonio Gaston, 53, was crushed after being snagged on a piece of equipment. 

Earlier this month James Brasher, 57, died after falling from the second-story loading bay of a former Mopar office and hitting his head on a dumpster, he died instantly.

The two men and Adams were all members of the United Auto Workers.  

Gaston’s widow has filed a lawsuit in federal court against the firm claiming the conveyor system that snagged him lacked crucial equipment to prevent such a thing from happening. 

An investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) ruled that he reached across a conveyor belt when he was caught. 

The watchdog issued a ‘serious violation’ with regards to machine guarding inside the Toledo plant and fined them $16,000, the outlet reported. The company contested the fine and settled for around $11,000. 

An OSHA investigation is underway into the death of Brasher and a probe continues into the death of Adams.

‘Stellantis continues to enhance workplace safety and ensure all sites meet or exceed regulatory requirements.’

Hayden Panettiere’s journey through Hollywood spotlighted a darker narrative within the industry, as revealed by Lynsey Lonberg, cherished by Panettiere as her “second mom”. Lonberg shed light on the disturbing experiences the late actress encountered as a young star, including allegations of being offered pills.

“In her book [“This Is Me: A Reckoning”], she describes me as her second mother. She was truly like a daughter to me,” Lonberg shared with the Daily Mail, reflecting on their close relationship.

The former “Heroes” star, whose career began in infancy, faced relentless battles with her personal demons, Lonberg noted, emphasizing her friend’s repeated efforts to overcome them despite the challenges inherent in being an actress.

During conversations with Lonberg, Panettiere reportedly opened up about the environment on set, claiming, “She told me that on set, you could find any pills, liquor—anything you wanted was available,” Lonberg recounted to the publication.

As Lonberg put it, “This kid didn’t stand a chance. Without Hollywood’s influence, I truly believe her path would have been a very different one.”

Lonberg said Panettiere “did the best she could” for her daughter, Kaya, whom she welcomed with ex-fiancé Wladimir Klitschko in 2014.

“It was impossible for her [to] keep up what she was doing as an actress and try to take care of her daughter,” she shared.

“She was trying to overcome the problems she had with drugs,” Lonberg alleged.

Panettiere was found dead in an Airbnb in Greenville, South Carolina, on Sunday. She was 36.

According to an autopsy obtained by Page Six, the “Bring It On: All or Nothing” star had “no signs of trauma … that would have contributed to the death.”

A cause of death has not yet been revealed; however, a 911 call obtained by us revealed an “unidentified female” was in “cardiac arrest” following an alleged “overdose.”

Panettiere was often candid about her substance abuse struggles.

In her 2026 memoir, the “Scream VI” alum revealed she went to rehab after becoming dependent on alcohol following the traumatic birth of her daughter.

She also said she turned to prescription medication to deal with anxiety after Season 4 of “Nashville: began filming in 2015.
