Brewers Prospect Executes Stunning Home Run Robbery, Earning Catch of the Year Honors

0

In a thrilling display of athleticism seen in the Double-A Southern League, one of the most stunning catches of the year in professional baseball unfolded on Friday night.

Mark Coley II, a promising talent in the Brewers’ lineup, dazzled fans by robbing a home run with remarkable flair, thwarting a homer by one of baseball’s top-100 prospects, in what may be one of the most outstanding plays of the 2026 season.

In his fourth Double-A appearance, Eric Hartman—a celebrated Braves outfielder ranked 73rd overall and the second-highest prospect on MLB Pipeline—brought his impressive record from High-A, where he belted 24 homers, and launched a powerful drive deep into right-center field at Synovus Park in Columbus, Georgia.

Stationed at center field, Coley pursued the soaring ball until it neared the wall. Timing his leap perfectly, he reached for the descending shot, making contact with his glove at the critical moment.

However, Coley’s initial attempt wasn’t enough to secure the catch, as he inadvertently knocked the ball onto the warning track in a heart-stopping moment.

As he fell to the dirt, though, Coley caught the ball with his glove while on his backside for what was an incredible F8 putout in the scorebook.

Coley helped save his starter, Manuel Rodriguez, who would have served up back-to-back-to-back home runs had the catch not been made.

It harkened back to Nationals center fielder Jacob Young, who made a circus catch at the wall — using his foot to catch a rebound — last September against the Mets’ Brett Baty.

Dewayne Wise, notably in 2009, saved White Sox hurler Mark Buehrle’s perfect game with a near-identical catch as Coley, though Wise caught his second effort with the bare hand.

Hartman later did get a measure of revenge, doubling to center on a play Coley was unable to catch.

Coley didn’t factor in at the plate for Double-A Biloxi in an 0-for-3 night during a 4-2 loss, but his defense turned plenty of heads.

Ex-NBA Player and Aspiring Senator Shakes Up Sports World with Bold WNBA Draft Bid

0

Royce White has announced his intent to enter next year’s WNBA Draft, marking him as the second former NBA player to make such a declaration amidst the ongoing debate around transgender athletes in sports.

This development follows Enes Kanter Freedom’s similar announcement. Standing at 6ft 10in, Freedom played in the NBA for 11 seasons and revealed his plans to join the WNBA just last Friday.

White, currently pursuing the Republican Senate nomination in Minnesota, shared with Fox News Digital his new transgender identity and expressed his eagerness to compete alongside talents such as Caitlin Clark and Sophie Cunningham in the upcoming season.

He declared, “I’m transgender. I’m a woman. I identify as sometimes identifying as a woman for the purpose of basketball, professional basketball, so I’ll be declaring for the WNBA draft in 2027 as well.”

Expressing confidence in his abilities, White said, “I think I’d be unstoppable. But I’m a team-first guy. I’m a pass-first kind of player. I do the little things. I led my team in all five major stat categories at Iowa State University, so I do a little bit of everything.”

‘I’ll do whatever the coach needs me to do. I’ll do whatever the girls need me to do.’

White, a former first-round draft pick who only played three games in the NBA for the Sacramento Kings, insisted that only the WNBA releasing ‘a definitive statement about guys with a pair of b**** playing in the Women’s Association’ could stop him.

‘I don’t want to be discriminated against,’ he continued. ‘I want fair treatment. I’m a young black, hopefully United States Senator, that would like a fair chance to participate as a sometimes-identifying-as-a-transgender-woman athlete.’

He also vowed to wear a wig while he’s playing and said WNBA players will have ‘nightmares… and they should’ about him potentially competing against them.

‘I am 260 pounds, 6ft 8, can palm a men’s basketball probably as easily as any player in history,’ White, 35, continued. ‘I think I had the third biggest hands in the history of the modern NBA Draft combine. I really feel like I’m going to be dominant.’

When asked if he would use the women’s locker room in the WNBA, he replied: ‘Of course. I don’t want to be discriminated against. Why wouldn’t I use the women’s locker room?

‘I have great respect for the skill of women’s basketball. They have to play a much more skilled game because they don’t have some of the physical God-given abilities as the men.

‘So I have great respect for the women’s game but there is a significant difference between biological men and women and we’ve blurred that line, like we’ve blurred many other lines unnecessarily, and I plan to exploit that for my economic and athletic benefit.’

White’s declaration comes amid an ongoing culture war within the WNBA, sparked by Indiana Fever star Sophie Cunningham after she said in an interview with ESPN that she wants to ‘protect young girls’ from ‘biological men’ in sports.

Freedom’s announcement comes amid the WNBA’s bitter culture war after Sophie Cunningham advocated for restrictions to ‘protect young girls’ from ‘biological men’ in sports

Cunningham’s comments have left fans, players and coaches in the WNBA divided recently

Since making the comments, the sports world has been left divided.

While some, such as Riley Gaines and Stephen A. Smith, have seemingly sided with the Fever star, others have openly criticized her and booed her on the court.

WNBA star Gabby Williams recently claimed she would ‘welcome’ a transgender teammate

Recently, the bitter culture war deepened after Golden State Valkyries star Gabby Williams claimed she would happily welcome a trans player to her team.

‘I think trans rights, right now, is our new battle,’ Williams said in a recent interview, adding: ‘We see people’s trans rights being stripped away from them; there’s a lot of discourse around trans athletes and what they can compete in.

‘I would welcome a trans athlete on my team or against my team, anytime,’ Williams added. ‘I don’t think it’s a problem in the world.’

In the wake of Cunningham’s comments, Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve made her feelings on the topic extremely clear on Sunday – after opting to wear a ‘Trans Kids Belong’ t-shirt on the sidelines of their game against the Fever.

Freedom shared his own declaration for the WNBA Draft with his fans through a post on social media on Friday afternoon.

In a video, the former New York Knicks and Boston Celtics star said: ‘After careful consideration and reviewing the current eligibility guidelines, I’m officially declaring myself a @WNBA prospect.

‘If simply declaring who you are is all that’s required, then I meet every single requirement necessary to compete in the WNBA.

A number of political commentators were quick to praise Freedom for his announcement

Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve recently wore a ‘Trans Kids Belong’ t-shirt

‘My team and I have carefully examined the WNBA’s eligibility criteria and governing framework surrounding self-identification and inclusion. Based on the current guidelines, I can and am officially declaring my eligibility for the upcoming WNBA draft in April 2027.

‘I know my presence on the court will stir up strong opinions. I am definitely not here to mock, make fun of, or disrespect any community or personal choices.

‘I’m simply asking that the current rules be applied equally to everyone – the rules that represent the very values many WNBA players and coaches have publicly advocated for.

‘My team and I are prepared to ensure these guidelines are applied equally, consistently, and without exception, and I look forward to the #WNBA honoring its stated principles. See you at training camp.’

The 34-year-old was previously picked third overall at the 2011 NBA Draft, before enjoying a career that took him to the Jazz, Thunder, Knicks, Trail Blazers and Celtics. He has not played a professional game since 2022.

Freedom’s post quickly went viral on social media as a number of political commentators threw their support behind the NBA veteran and his decision.

Riley Gaines was among those to respond to the post, writing: ‘Genius. Perfect. Waiting to see which WNBA team recruits’.

Similarly, Piers Morgan wrote on X: ‘Brilliant… now let’s see how keen the @WNBA stars are for men to play in their League.’

Clay Travis, meanwhile, who recently offered to pay $10 million to WNBA champions the Las Vegas Aces if they can beat a high school boys basketball team of his choosing, wrote: ‘Amazing. Well done.’

READ: Matthew 26:15, 27:3-5 (KJV)

Matthew 26:15
15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

Matthew 27:3-5
3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Jeremiah 15-17

Open Heaven 8 August 2026 MESSAGE

In today’s world, many people are selling their salvation for all kinds of mundane things. Some have sold their salvation for money, while others have sold it for fame or positions. There is, however, nothing in this world that is worth trading your salvation for. Anything that a person wants to acquire that will require the person to commit a sin is a trap of the enemy to get the fellow to sell his or her salvation and end up in hell. In Matthew 16:26, Jesus asked His disciples, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” These questions still apply to us today. There is no gain in trading the salvation of your soul for anything because nothing in this world is as precious as your soul.

Esau is an example of someone who traded something precious for something mundane and temporary. In Genesis 25:29-34, he chose to despise his privileged position in his father’s house for just a bowl of pottage. He sold his birthright so cheaply just because he was hungry, and in Hebrews 12:17, the Bible says that he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. In like manner, Judas sold his salvation for money in today’s Bible reading. He threw everything he had learnt from Jesus down the drain for 30 pieces of silver. Whatever lures a person to trade his or her salvation only wants to destroy the fellow. It might offer immediate pleasure and instant gratification, but the devil ultimately aims to use it to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10).

One way the devil tries to lure believers into trading their salvation is by making them believe that some sins are not as important as others and telling them that such sins do not matter. However, there is no act of sin that is not significant; every sinful act matters in God’s sight. Every little compromise is a step out of His protective and merciful covering. Ecclesiastes 10:8 says that a serpent will bite whoever breaks a hedge. In other words, sin exposes a fellow to the attack of the enemy.

Beloved, do not toy with sin because it only offers a one-way ticket to hell. I pray that you will not trade the salvation of your soul for anything in the world, in Jesus’ name.

Open Heaven 8 August 2026 HYMN 14 – O What A Wonderful, Wonderful Day

1 O what a wonderful, wonderful day
Day I will never forget;
After I’d wandered in darkness away
Jesus my Saviour I met
O what a tender, compassionate friend
He met the need of my heart;
Shadows dispelling, with joy I am telling,
He made all the darkness depart!

Refrain:
Heaven came down and glory filled my soul
When at the cross my Saviour made me whole
My sins were washed away, and my night was turned to day
Heaven came down and glory tilled my soul

2 Born of the Spirit with life from above
Into God’s fam’ly divine
Justified fully thru Calvary’s love
O what a standing is mine
And the transaction so quickly was made
When as a sinner I came
Took of the offer of grace He did proffer
He saved me, O praise His dear name

3 Now I’ve hope that will surely endure
After the passing of time;
I have a future in Heaven for sure
There in those mansions sublime
And it’s because of that wonderful day
When at the cross I believed;
Riches eternal and blessings supernal
From His precious hand received.

Unidentified Bodies Discovered at Chapel on East 95th Street

0

CHICAGO (WLS) — On a disturbing Friday morning, authorities removed a significant number of decomposing bodies from a funeral home on Chicago’s Southeast Side. The grim discovery had been made the evening before, shocking the community and authorities alike.

Efforts are underway by the Cook County Medical Examiner to identify the remains discovered at the South Chicago Chapel, located on 95th Street. The scene has sparked outrage and disbelief among local residents and families involved.

Throughout the night and into the early hours of Friday morning, a procession of vans transported the bodies away from the South Chicago Chapel. Officials reported nearly 60 bodies were left to decompose, improperly stored at temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Alarmingly, local residents had been complaining about a persistent foul odor in the vicinity for several months.

The revelation that 56 bodies had been stored in such a deplorable state has left families using the South Chicago Chapel in shock and demand for explanations is mounting. Many are grappling with the distressing news and seeking clarification on how such neglect could have occurred.

On Friday, families arrived at the funeral home, desperate for answers. ABC7 has captured heart-wrenching accounts of their frustration and sorrow. Several families report experiencing long waits for their loved one’s remains, only to now face uncertainty over whether the remains they received are indeed those of their loved ones.

ABC7 Chicago is now streaming 24/7. Click here to watch

Several bodies were removed from the home Friday and driven away in vans to be identified. It could take days to identify all of the remains, which officials say were improperly stored.

“It’s crazy,” Valkiery Velez, who lives next door to the funeral home, said. “I have a kid too. And to have him smell that, it’s insane.”

Neighbors said they’ve smelled a foul odor around South Chicago Chapel for weeks, if not months.

“Oh man, it’s awful,” Velez said. “I’ve lived here for about a year and I could smell it this entire year. It’s like dead rodents, dead animals, you can smell it yeah.”

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said investigators found more than 50 bodies in various states of decomposition Thursday in the South Deering funeral home. Teams are now working to identify the deceased and review records, including death certificates to notify families as quickly as possible.

“We don’t know if Melody is in there or not,” Patrice Halliburton, whose sister was cremated at the home, said. “So right now, we’re more fearful that she is than we are angry.”

Halliburton’s sister Melody Johnson passed away May 23. They held her funeral services on June 13 and had her cremated at South Chicago Chapel. She said they picked up what they believed were her ashes a week later, but now are questioning if in fact the ashes of those of their loved.

“I have no idea how something like this could happen,” Haliburton said. “I have no idea how someone’s conscience could allow something like this to happen. There are no words and I’m really concerned about my niece and my nephews because this is their mom. And they don’t know, and for them to have an urn and they don’t know who is there, if that is really their mom, this is a really difficult time for them.”

Families in South Deering are now left with more questions than answers.

“We don’t know if we have her remains,” Haliburton said. “We don’t know if she’s still there. We have no idea and they won’t answer any of our phone calls.”

Latasha Johnson said she became concerned shortly before her mother’s funeral Thursday. Johnson recalled pulling back a curtain inside the funeral home and seeing a body.

“I pulled a curtain back. There’s a body laying there. I’m thinking this must be what they do in the funeral home,” Johnson said.

Police arrived at the funeral home as Johnson’s mother’s funeral was taking place Thursday and awaited a warrant to search the property. Hours later, the medical examiner reported the discovery of 56 bodies stored improperly.

Johnson said she also noticed what she described as a strong odor inside the funeral home. She said the funeral director’s husband attributed the smell to mildew.

“He got Lysol. You spraying Lysol over death,” Johnson said.

The discovery has left other families seeking information about their loved ones.

“I just want my mama body back. Y’all can do whatever else you want to do just please give me my mama back,” said Franquella Campbell, whose family also used South Chicago Chapel.

Charlene Bays said it took the funeral home nearly three months last year to provide her brother’s ashes.

“I’m not even sure who they gave us. I don’t even know if it’s him or not because they made us wait so long, gave us the runaround,” Bays said.

The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, which licenses funeral directors, said it has suspended the license of funeral director Johanna Morgan. The agency also revoked the license of her husband, Clark Morgan, in 2024.

Last year, the state comptroller shut down a Chicago Heights crematory owned by Clark Morgan after more than 100 bodies were improperly stored there.

The state said Johanna Morgan’s license was just suspended on Wednesday, and that’s not the first time. Records show she has faced a history of disciplinary action.

The latest came over conditions inside South Chicago Chapel. Records said Johanna allowed, “multiple decedents to be kept in an unrefrigerated area with deplorable conditions including rodent infestation, causing decomposition and maggot infestation of the bodies.”

After learning about all this, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation said it’s working with investigators to ensure all appropriate regulatory and public safety steps are taken.

“They should have criminal charges pressed against them for how they mishandle these bodies,” Illinois State Comptroller Susana Mendoza said. “These people should be in jail. That’s where they should be.”

The developments have prompted questions from affected families.

“Why, if they closed down one facility, why did they, why didn’t they close this one down?” Angela Young asked.

Johnson said she encountered additional problems before her mother’s funeral. She said her mother’s body had not been dressed properly, forcing family members to prepare her themselves.

“Basically I set my mom up, and I asked family to help, to assist me. They really didn’t want to touch my momma. I didn’t want to touch her. I wanted to remember my mom warm,” Johnson said.

Johnson also said the funeral home’s memorial program included AI-generated images of her mother.

“These are fake people. Artificial intelligence inside an obituary,” Johnson said.

Asked what should happen to those responsible, Johnson responded: “Jail.”

Illinois State Police say their crime scene services investigators are helping the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identify the 56 bodies found in this building, but for people like Charlene Bays, it’s unclear what they can do to identify those cremated remains.

Alderman Peter Chico said in a statement, “I was horrified when I found out about the bodies at the South Chicago Chapel Funeral Home. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families who may have had loved ones there.”

ABC7 reached out to the funeral home and is still waiting for a response.

DCLM Daily Manna 8 August 2026 — Leaders or Ringleaders?

DCLM Daily Manna 8 August 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Leaders or Ringleaders?

TOPIC – Leaders or Ringleaders? (DCLM Daily Manna 8 August 2026)

KEY VERSE: The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us – Micah 3:11

TEXT: Micah 3:1-12 (KJV)

1 And I said, Hear, I pray you, O heads of Jacob, and ye princes of the house of Israel; Is it not for you to know judgment?

2 Who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;

3 Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.

4 Then shall they cry unto the Lord, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.

5 Thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that make my people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and he that putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.

6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.

7 Then shall the seers be ashamed, and the diviners confounded: yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.

8 But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the Lord, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

9 Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity.

10 They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.

11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the Lord, and say, Is not the Lord among us? none evil can come upon us.

12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

Captain John Hawkins Simpson once built a house on the Canford Cliffs, near Bournemouth, England. He chose a site that was too close to the edge of the cliff. Concerned friends and neighbours warned him of the danger of siting the building there, considering that landslides frequently occurred along the coast, and the weight of the house would cause a disaster. Mr. Simpson ignored the warnings and went ahead to erect a beautiful building there. He enjoyed it for a while. Then came the inevitable catastrophe he was warned about. What remains of that house now is known as “Simpson’s Folly” – a heap of ruins on the beach.

In today’s text, the obstinate attitude of the Jewish leaders – both the princes and the prophets – is similar to that of Simpson. Prophet Micah decried, in the strongest terms, the egregious sins of these leaders who had actually become ringleaders. The princes or governors of the people had become so callous, covetous and corrupt that they were compared to ravenous animals. They shunned divine counsel and sued for wickedness, and God resolved that He would ignore their prayers. The so-called prophets in the land had become exploitative, fleecing, yet flattering the people. They chose to walk in darkness, and God decided he would keep them in the dark, shutting them out of divine revelation and inspiration. This terrible scenario provoked a holy zeal in Prophet Micah, who, full of power by the spirit of the LORD, denounced the people’s transgressions, in contrast to the flattering prophets.

The impunity of the ringleaders of Micah’s day is not different from the prevailing disturbing carriage of today’s greedy leaders and desperately materialistic and flattering so-called gospel ministers. These self-styled “prophets” are leading multitudes of ignorant people away to perdition. However, like the case of the corrupt prophets and seers of Micah’s time, they will not escape God’s righteous judgment, their self-deluding confidence notwithstanding.

As you reflect on this matter, it is only fitting for you to examine your position on it. Are you part of the ringleaders? Are you deceived because of your penchant for flatteries? Why not learn from “Simpson’s Folly”? On the other hand, are you spirit-filled and bold, like Micah, to declare the truth? Do you have ears for the sound word of God?

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Refine it as you may, stubbornness against God will never produce gain.

Former Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall Loses Pentagon Classified Clearance

WASHINGTON – In a significant move, the Pentagon has withdrawn former U.S. Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall’s clearance to access classified material, effectively prohibiting him from assuming any sensitive roles. This decision, announced on Friday, arises from allegations that Kendall revealed details regarding the operational capabilities of Air Force One to the press.

This development follows last month’s reporting from prominent media outlets, including The New York Times, highlighting security vulnerabilities associated with the new Air Force One, a gift from Qatar. Reports indicate that the aircraft does not possess the sophisticated antimissile defenses of its older counterpart.

In reaction to the revocation, Kendall expressed his bewilderment during a Friday night interview with The Associated Press. He remarked, “I am utterly perplexed by this action.”

Kendall emphasized his commitment to safeguarding classified information, stating, “I have always exercised extreme caution to avoid divulging any classified content. To my knowledge, I have not breached any protocols. No specifics of the alleged leak have been shared with me, and I am baffled as to what information it might pertain to.”

The aircraft in question recently underwent an extensive $400 million retrofit and is currently being utilized for domestic flights. Notably, President Donald Trump used this aircraft for his journey to Turkey last month. However, amidst escalating tensions and airstrikes involving Iran, he opted to return from the NATO summit aboard an older Air Force One model.

The Times reported that the president made the switch at the urging of the Secret Service and that the newer plane lacked some of the advanced security features of the older Air Force One aircraft. Trump denied to reporters that the swap was due to security concerns, although he also said he is under threat “all the time” and is Iran’s “No. 1” target.

In the Times article, Kendall, who served under President Joe Biden, is quoted as saying that the time for upgrades to the plane would not have been enough for “all the normal Air Force One modifications” and he was surprised that the plane was used outside the U.S.

Kendall said Friday, “I’ve been comfortable being on the record with reporters and on national television about the Qatari 747 because I’m confident that I haven’t said anything classified.”

In response to the reporting, the Justice Department subpoenaed the Times’ reporters to try to compel them to out their sources, which stirred fears over press freedoms. The department, after criticism from the judge for sloppy legal work, grudgingly withdrew the subpoenas last month.

The Air Force has argued that the rapid conversion of the jet was done “without accepting any risk regarding security, safety, or secure communications,” but it also has acknowledged the different capabilities. It said “several highly complex engineering modifications” required for the new U.S.-made Air Force One aircraft were intentionally excluded in the modifications to the plane from Qatar. The Air Force acknowledged it did not widen the doors leading out of the aircraft or include multiple stairs built into the hull of the plane.

Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell didn’t specify in a post on X which media outlet Kendall was accused of sharing classified information with.

“Safeguarding classified information is a non-negotiable duty,” he wrote. “Those who violate that trust forfeit the privilege of access and any role requiring it.”

It’s not the first time the Trump administration has revoked security clearances, including of 37 then-current and former national security officials last year. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also pulled security protections and clearance for Gen. Mark Milley, retired Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, soon after the administration took office.

Parnell didn’t say if Kendall was being referred for prosecution, and the Pentagon declined to provide more information. Typically, such accusations are partnered with referrals for prosecution over violations of the Espionage Act.

A well-known example was when the Obama administration filed charges against Edward Snowden, a former intelligence agency contractor who publicly disclosed a massive trove of secret documents about U.S. surveillance operations before fleeing to Russia.

More recently, a federal judge sentenced a Massachusetts Air National Guard member to 15 years in prison in 2024 for leaking classified military documents about the war in Ukraine. That was the most consequential national security breach in years.

Rhapsody Of Realities 8 August 2026: Power To Impart Life

Rhapsody Of Realities 8 August 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): Power To Impart Life

TOPIC: Power To Impart Life (Rhapsody of Realities 8 August 2026)

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also… – John 14:12

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

When God gave you eternal life, He didn’t give you something dormant or passive; He gave you inherent life, a life that reproduces and expresses itself. The Lord Jesus said something that boggles the mind in John 5:26, “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.”

This is why Jesus could give eternal life. Eternal life is the very life and nature of God, and inherent in it is the capacity to impart it. Consider the words of the Lord Jesus: “…these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils… they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover” (Mark 16:17-18).

Why is this possible? It’s because you emit and evince eternal life. The life of Christ is revealed and manifested in and through you. You’re a life-giver. The Apostle Paul understood this when he said, “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death” (Romans 8:2). That life in you is superior to sickness, death, and every contrary force. And because it’s in you, it can flow through you.

You can impart life through your words, through the laying on of hands, and through your actions. You’re a carrier and a distributor of eternal life. And as you consciously release that life, you’ll see its power at work, bringing healing, deliverance, and transformation to those around you.

CONFESSION

I have the life of God in me, and it’s active and coursing through every fibre of my being, even now. That life impacts everything around me, bringing healing, deliverance and transformation to many. I walk in boldness and manifest the glory of God; I’m a life-giving spirit, dispensing life everywhere, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Mark 16:17-18 (KJV)
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Matthew 10:7-8 (NIV)
As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ [8] Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Acts 1:8 (KJV)
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Boost Muscle Strength After 50 with This Effective 12-Minute Morning Routine

0

Once you hit 50, protein alone may not suffice in maintaining muscle health. To truly optimize strength, a specific signal is required, one that protein alone cannot provide.

>

Protein remains essential for supporting muscle growth and recovery, so it should still play a part in your daily intake. However, for individuals over 50, the critical element missing from many routines is the strength signal. This means muscles need to be regularly engaged in activities that challenge them to push, brace, stand, reach, and move with a clear intention.

For this reason, I recommend concise morning routines for personal training clients eager to build strength without letting exercise dominate their day. A 12-minute session is both practical and sufficient—it provides enough of a challenge to make a difference, yet it’s brief enough to maintain consistency before your day gets too busy.

When crafting these routines, my priority is ensuring that clients stick with them. Exercises must feel meaningful from the onset, transitions should be straightforward, and each session should target multiple areas simultaneously. Full-body movements are ideal as they engage the legs, upper body, and core in every set.

Incorporate this routine into your schedule three to five mornings each week. Start with a smooth first round, gradually intensify your efforts, and aim for the last round to be your most powerful.

The 12-Minute Morning Muscle Routine

What you need: A pair of light dumbbells and a sturdy counter, bench, or chair for the incline pushup. You can also do the squat-to-press and reverse lunge without weights when you’re starting out. This routine takes 12 minutes and uses three full-body exercises performed for four rounds.

The Routine:

  1. Dumbbell Squat to Press: 4 rounds of 40 seconds
  2. Incline Pushup With Shoulder Tap: 4 rounds of 40 seconds
  3. Reverse Lunge to Knee Drive: 4 rounds of 40 seconds

Directions

Set a timer for 12 minutes. Perform the first exercise for 40 seconds, then use 20 seconds to switch to the next move. Continue through all three exercises, then repeat the circuit until you complete four total rounds.

4 Wall Exercises That Flatten Lower Belly Faster Than Sit-Ups After 55

Dumbbell Squat to Press

The dumbbell squat to press is a strong fit for fighting muscle loss after 50 because it combines lower-body strength with upper-body work in one simple pattern. The squat trains the legs through a movement you use every day, and the press brings the shoulders and arms into the routine without needing a separate exercise. It also quickly raises the overall effort of the workout, which helps 12 minutes feel like enough time to accomplish something.

How to do it:

  1. Stand with your feet about shoulder-width apart.
  2. Hold a dumbbell in each hand at shoulder height.
  3. Lower into a squat with control.
  4. Press through your feet to stand tall.
  5. Press the dumbbells overhead as you finish standing.
  6. Lower the weights back to your shoulders and repeat.

Best Variations: Bodyweight squat to reach, goblet squat to press, alternating single-arm dumbbell press.

Form Tip: Let your legs start the movement before your arms finish the press.

Incline Pushup With Shoulder Tap

The incline pushup with shoulder tap builds upper-body strength while asking your core to stay engaged between reps. That makes it more useful than a basic pushup variation for this routine because you get pressing strength, trunk control, and shoulder stability in the same station. The incline setup also makes the movement easier to adjust for different strength levels, which is why it works well for clients who need a challenging pushup pattern they can actually repeat.

How to do it:

  1. Place your hands on a sturdy counter, bench, or chair.
  2. Step your feet back until your body forms a straight line.
  3. Bend your elbows and lower your chest toward the surface.
  4. Press back to the starting position.
  5. Tap one hand to the opposite shoulder.
  6. Place that hand down, repeat the pushup, and tap the other shoulder.

Best Variations: Wall pushup with shoulder tap, incline pushup, incline plank shoulder tap.

Form Tip: Keep your hips steady during the shoulder tap.

Reverse Lunge to Knee Drive

The reverse lunge to knee drive gives each leg focused work while adding a little athletic rhythm to the routine. That matters after 50 because muscle loss often shows up as less confidence on one leg, especially during steps, stairs, or quick changes in position. This exercise helps rebuild leg strength and balance together, and the knee drive keeps the core involved without turning the move into a floor exercise. Use a smaller step at first, then make the movement stronger as it feels smoother.

How to do it:

  1. Stand tall with your feet about hip-width apart.
  2. Step one foot back into a reverse lunge.
  3. Bend both knees to a comfortable depth.
  4. Press through your front foot to stand.
  5. Drive your back knee up toward your chest.
  6. Step back into the next rep, then switch sides halfway through the interval.

Best Variations: Reverse lunge, step-back tap to knee drive, supported reverse lunge to knee drive.

Form Tip: Keep your front foot planted as you stand and drive the knee up.

How to Make This Morning Routine Work After 50

This routine works best when you keep the effort repeatable. Muscle loss after 50 responds well to regular strength work, and short workouts help you build that habit without needing a full gym session every morning. Start with bodyweight versions when needed, then add light dumbbells once the movements feel familiar. Give yourself a few sessions to find the right pace before chasing more reps. The routine should leave you feeling worked, capable, and ready to come back to it again.

  • Use weights you can control: Light dumbbells are enough when the reps stay clean.
  • Keep the transitions simple: Set up your space before you start so the 12 minutes flow.
  • Progress one thing at a time: Add weight, reps, or range gradually.
  • Support the work with protein: A protein shake can help, especially when your meals need a boost, but the strength work gives your muscles a reason to use it.
  • Repeat it consistently: Three to five sessions per week gives this routine enough frequency to support real progress.

Tragic Incident: Mother Accused of Attempting to Kill Her Children in Gruesome Attack, Reports Police

Inset: Kailey Erhart (Mandan Police Department). Background: The Burleigh Morton Detention Center in Bismarck, N.D. (Google Maps).

In a tragic development from North Dakota, authorities report that a woman has been arrested for the murder of two of her children and the attempted murder of a third. The heartbreaking incident has left the local community in shock.

The suspect, identified as 22-year-old Kailey Erhart, is facing a litany of charges. The Mandan Police Department has charged her with two counts of murder, along with multiple counts of aggravated assault, and singular charges of attempted murder, terrorizing, domestic violence leading to bodily harm, and child abuse.

This shocking act of violence took place on the evening of August 6, within a home located on South Frontier Trail in Mandan. The city, known for its close-knit community, sits just about 5 miles northwest of the state’s capital, Bismarck, and now finds itself in the grips of this horrific domestic tragedy.

Police responded swiftly to the scene following disturbing reports of a mother allegedly stabbing her children. As detailed in an affidavit sourced from NBC’s Fargo affiliate KVLY, officers arrived to find a harrowing scene: Erhart holding a kitchen knife to her own throat, with her body smeared in blood. The grim discovery has reverberated across the region, raising urgent discussions on domestic violence and mental health.

The woman then dropped the knife and told the responding officers to kill her, before she was taken into custody, police said.

Then the officers followed a trail of blood.

The macabre path took police to a bedroom where three young children were lying motionless on a bed, according to the affidavit. All three children were suffering from cutting, slashing, or stabbing injuries to their necks, police said.

Ultimately, a 3-year-old and 5-month-old died in the attack, while a 1-year-old survived after undergoing surgery, Mandan Police Chief Jason Ziegler announced during a news conference on Friday.

“A scene like that is something that nobody should ever have to see in their lifetime,” Ziegler said, according to the Grand Forks Herald.

Before law enforcement arrived, Erhart chased the children’s father and grandmother from the residence with a knife, according to the affidavit. Before that, however, the defendant allegedly brandished a gun at the father and threatened to kill him, according to court documents obtained by Bismarck-based NBC and Fox affiliate KFYR.

The father said he was eventually able to wrest the pistol away from the defendant, disassemble the gun, and scatter the pieces throughout the house. In one video obtained by police from the father’s cellphone, Erhart is allegedly seen holding one of the children, pistol at her hip, and warning, “Say goodbye to your kids.”

After those alleged threats, the father called 911.

The police chief said initial information provided by 911 dispatchers “was that the mother had locked herself inside the home with three children and was going to kill them.”

After being read her Miranda rights, Erhart allegedly told investigators she put the children on the bed after their throats were cut, according to the affidavit. The defendant went on to say she remembered holding the knife as police arrived, but that her memory of the entire night was not clear, police said.

Investigators also noted that the couple was in the process of separating or divorcing and that the father had concerns about the woman previously expressing a desire to die by suicide and kill their children, according to the charging document.

Those prior threats were known to the state’s child welfare agency, police said. At the time of the incident, Erhart was on medication and cleared to be with the children – after recently spending time in a mental health facility – according to law enforcement.

Law enforcement has not identified the child victims by name or offered any kind of motive for the violence as of this writing.

The defendant is being detained in the Burleigh Morton Detention Center on $3 million bond.

NBA Star Brandon Clarke’s Tragic Death at 29: Cause Revealed, World Mourns

Fresh developments have surfaced regarding the passing of Brandon Clarke.

Nearly three months have passed since the seasoned NBA athlete was discovered lifeless at his California residence on May 11. Now, officials have disclosed both the cause and manner of his passing.

A statement from the County of Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner on August 7 confirmed that the 29-year-old succumbed to the toxic effects of heroin and cocaine. His death has been classified as an accidental tragedy.

Emergency responders were dispatched to Clarke’s home in the San Fernando neighborhood of Los Angeles around 5 p.m. that day. According to the medical examiner’s report, they discovered Clarke “unresponsive in his bedroom.”

The paramedics declared him deceased roughly 15 minutes after their arrival.

The athlete—who had played for the Memphis Grizzlies for seven years—was discovered with drug paraphernalia present, leading investigators to consider the possibility of an overdose, law enforcement told NBC Los Angeles.

The medical examiner has since conducted an examination and determined that his death was indeed drug-related.
