A riveting Florida Highway Patrol dashcam video has been released, capturing the heart-pounding moment a state trooper zooms towards a notorious street takeover on Interstate 75. This dramatic pursuit involved expertly weaving through a maze of halted vehicles and escalating to a high-speed chase that authorities report hit a staggering 140 mph.

The footage sets a tense scene, with the trooper’s vehicle hurtling down the interstate, emergency lights piercing the dark, sirens screaming in the night. Everything came to a halt near mile marker 266 in Thonotosassa around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, as a multitude of motionless cars filled all the northbound lanes.

As the patrol car approached the chaotic scene, people became silhouettes running between the cars, while others hastily clambered back inside their vehicles, eager to escape.

Navigating this traffic gridlock, motorists slowly parted ways, allowing the determined trooper to slice through the congestion, swiftly picking up speed in pursuit of a fleeing green BMW piloted by 25-year-old Yulian Lugo.

Authorities said Lugo accelerated to approximately 140 mph – about twice the posted speed limit – before exiting the interstate.

The dashcam then showed the trooper following him into what appeared to be a residential neighborhood, where Lugo eventually pulled over without further incident.

The trooper ordered Lugo out of the BMW before placing him in handcuffs.

Moments later, two passengers stepped out before sitting on the hood of the patrol vehicle as the trooper secured the scene.

Lugo was arrested and charged with aggravated fleeing to elude and participating in a street takeover, both felony offenses, authorities said.

Three passengers – a 24-year-old and two 18-year-olds – were also ultimately arrested and each was charged with misdemeanor highway racing. All four were booked into the Hillsborough County Jail.

Investigators said the incident began around 1:30 a.m. Saturday when hundreds of vehicles blocked all northbound lanes of I-75 while participants allegedly performed burnouts and other stunts in the middle of the interstate.

Investigators alleged Lugo fled the scene as many of the vehicles dispersed when law enforcement arrived, triggering the pursuit shown in the newly released dashcam footage.

The I-75 incident marked the latest in a series of takeover-related events that have drawn increased attention from Florida law enforcement this summer.

In June, the St. Augustine Beach Police Department said it thwarted a planned “teen takeover” before it began after investigators used electronic monitoring to identify plans circulating online.

Earlier this year, Orlando police also released video showing hundreds of riders on e-bikes swarming downtown streets, running red lights, blocking traffic and delaying an ambulance. Officers said the group created a significant public safety hazard and vowed to continue cracking down on similar incidents.

MOSCOW – Russia has reported a harrowing incident, asserting that a deliberate drone strike by Ukraine on the Black Sea resort town of Gelendzhik resulted in the deaths of six individuals, among them three children, while approximately 40 others sustained injuries.

In a conflict where both parties, Russia and Ukraine, maintain that civilian targets are not part of their strategy, Ukraine has yet to issue an official response to the accusations stemming from the country’s ongoing full-scale war initiated by Moscow in 2022.

Verified social media footage paints a stark picture, capturing the moment a drone strikes a bustling beachfront in Gelendzhik, accompanied by a deafening explosion. These videos have been authenticated by Reuters, offering a glimpse into the chaos.

Veniamin Kondratyev, the governor overseeing Russia’s southern Krasnodar region where Gelendzhik lies, described the devastating event as a tragedy. He reported that 17 individuals had been transported to hospitals for treatment.

“Today’s attack represents a targeted assault by the Kyiv regime on civilians completely unrelated to any military installations,” declared Kondratyev in a statement posted to Telegram. The governor’s remarks underscore the gravity with which Russian authorities view this incident.

A specialist medical disaster team had been dispatched to the scene of the explosion at the holiday village of Arkhipo-Osipovka, part of the wider Gelendzhik resort area, local authorities said.

An intense moment unfolded at Yellowstone National Park as a child narrowly escaped a charging bison, leaving visitors shaken by the unexpected wildlife encounter.

Captured by Brittany Peteler, the video begins with a woman walking past the massive creature, seemingly oblivious to its presence as it ambles towards a nearby boardwalk. She crosses to safety without incident.

This narrow escape echoes a recent incident where a man suffered a bison attack in the very same park located in Wyoming, highlighting the unpredictable nature of these encounters.

According to park officials, “Bison have injured more people in Yellowstone than any other animal.”

“They are unpredictable, can run three times faster than humans and will defend their space when threatened,” the national park stated. “Wild animals can be aggressive when people do not respect their space. Visitors are responsible for staying at least 25 yards away from all large animals, including bison, elk, bighorn sheep, deer, moose and coyotes.”

Beloved YouTube personality Max Gilardi has left his audience in disbelief with his recent revelation about seeking euthanasia in Switzerland.

Hailing from Gloucester, Massachusetts, the 38-year-old revealed his decision on Sunday through a prerecorded message on his YouTube channel, hotdiggedydemon. The announcement has since sent waves through his devoted fanbase.

Addressing his 2.1 million subscribers, Gilardi shared that after an exhaustive exploration of all possible options, he has opted for “doctor-assisted euthanasia” as what he describes as his ‘final solution’.

Known for his animated content and gaming livestreams, Gilardi detailed his ongoing battle with a chronic illness that has been impacting his life and creative output for several years.

Diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a condition that causes widespread bodily pain, his health challenges have significantly hindered his ability to consistently produce new content since 2024.

‘I’m tired all the time,’ Gilardi said. ‘I spend a lot of my time lying down. I get a lot of bad pain in all my joints and my muscles, ankles, shins, hands, knees, hips, neck. I have a lot of difficulty sleeping.’

The creator added that he has also been dealing with a plethora of other health issues that doctors have been unable to diagnose, including a relentless drooling he dubbed ‘slobber mouth’, brain fog, and difficulty speaking. 

‘I would truly describe slobber mouth as maddening,’ he said. 

‘And as you can imagine, when you have slobber mouth and discognition (sic), and shortness of breath, and a scratchy throat that won’t stop producing mucus, and a tongue that feels numb and tingly, it makes streaming hard.’ 

He said the rising cost of his medical bills, including a $900 bill for an MRI which did not lead to a diagnosis or treatment, have compounded his despair. 

‘There’s nothing more expensive than living,’ Gilardi said, adding that he is ‘constantly running out of money’ and has ‘outstanding medical bills’. 

The creator said his decision to seek euthanasia came after more than a year of considering his options, and felt like a ‘natural conclusion’ to his life. 

‘My existence has become one where I suffer and barely scrape by so I can continue to sustain an existence where I barely scrape by and suffer,’ Gilardi said. 

He also gave a lengthy insight into the struggles of living with fibromyalgia, saying he felt like he had ‘brain damage’. 

‘Fibromyalgia could maybe be conceptualized as a sort of non-definitional form of brain damage, if there is such a thing as non-definitional brain damage,’ he said. 

‘There’s a part of your brain called the hypothalamus, and when it’s damaged and it breaks, that’s what causes fibro. It breaks and starts sending out kind of bad signals to the rest of your body.’ 

Gilardi added that he believes he may have developed the condition after contracting Covid-19. 

‘It can be caused by a concussive head injury or a bad viral infection, which, for me, was Covid,’ the creator explained. 

‘I got Covid in the winter of 2023, and then about a month… yeah, about a month and a half later, I got fibro, and I got slobber mouth.’ 

Gilardi’s fans were horrified, with many begging him not to seek euthanasia. 

Many told the creator they loved him and urged him to seek help, while some offered to donate money to cover his medical bills. 

The outpouring appeared to prompt Gilardi to change his mind, as he wrote on X hours later that he would ‘reassess’ his decision to travel to Switzerland. 

‘JEEEEZ you guys okay fine haha jk just kidding!! Nevermind!! Jk just kidding jk jk!!’ he wrote, before adding: ‘Decided I’m not thinking clearly, will reassess’. 

Euthanasia, which is administered by a doctor, is illegal in Switzerland, but assisted suicide, which involves the person who wants to die injecting themselves with a lethal substance, is allowed under certain circumstances. 

Switzerland’s most famous clinic, Dignitas, is based in Zurich and generally only offers euthanasia to those suffering from terminal illnesses.

The country is also home to Pegasos, which has more relaxed rules and offers assisted suicide to anyone suffering ‘a poor quality of life.’

Patients are generally euthanized by drinking a lethal cocktail of barbiturate drugs. 

Gilardi rose to internet fame with his web series called PONY.MOV, a a gorey adult parody of the animated TV series My Little Pony. 

He now runs a media analysis series known as Brain Dump, while streaming to fans on YouTube as hotdiggedydemon.
