Foreign Plot Against VP Sparks ‘Never Vance’ Uprising

0

JD Vance is currently facing a barrage of online criticism as he gears up for a potential presidential bid in 2028. His supporters assert that this orchestrated online hostility is financially backed.

Voicing his frustration on Friday, Donald Trump Jr. expressed, “This is the same nonsense the globalists and RINOs pulled on my dad,” in reaction to a segment featuring Mark Halperin that highlighted the GOP establishment’s disapproval of the Vice President.

“It’s a rinse and repeat scenario,” he continued. “It didn’t work before, and it won’t succeed now. Everyone can see through the establishment’s ploy.”

Vance has been candid about his views, indicating that certain factions within the Israeli government have been at odds with U.S. initiatives in the Middle East, especially regarding diplomatic negotiations with Iran.

Now, his advocates assert that Vance is being targeted by a foreign campaign. This comes at a time when Vance and his wife Usha are celebrating the recent arrival of their fourth child.

A Washington Post analysis found that a rash of posts slamming the expected 2028 candidate as ‘unfit’ – hitting his willingness to negotiate with Iran.

‘Never Vance,’ was another slogan circulating online.

Some of the accounts appeared to be based in foreign countries. A Time report published this month found that a group of MAGA-aligned influencers had been paid by a pro-Israel group to allegedly post attacks against the VP.

The campaign was being waged by Brad Parscale, Trump’s 2016 campaign guru, who has since seemingly fallen out of grace with the President.

‘You know, my response to that is, ‘Well, go to hell,” Vance told Rogan of the campaign in a recent podcast interview.

‘I’m going to do what I have to do for the American people. I represent Americans first, and that’s the way that I’ve tried to do this job.’

Trump has publicly toyed with the idea of who he’d like to be the next president, having mused about whether audiences of his prefer either potential 2028 candidate.

During a May event in the White House Rose Garden, he asked attendees to cheer for who they like more, Rubio or Vance.

The audience in one recording sounded like they cheered louder for Vance.

‘Alright,’ Trump responds. ‘Sounds like a good ticket,’ he continued, pairing the two together, not alluding to who’d be on top with a slight smile.

But recently, Vance has reportedly caught the President’s attention and favor with the successful launch of his recent book tour and efforts regarding the Iran war.

‘It’s become, ‘JD’s our guy, we gotta help JD,’’ a senior administration official told MS NOW.

Sources also told the outlet that Vance’s weight loss has impressed the President.

The father of four, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F Kennedy and other administration officials are reportedly on a sauerkraut-heavy diet pushed by physician Sean O’Mara.

Vance is still the favorite among GOP expected candidates for the 2028 race, according to the latest Daily Mail/JL Partners survey taken in July.

The poll of over 1,000 US voters found Vance had 48 percent support among Republican primary voters.

Rubio had support from 18 percent of the GOP primary voters.

Vance, for his part, has repeatedly noted how the Secretary of State and potential 2028 rival is his ‘best friend’ in the administration.

He’s also said he is focused on the challenges of today and not focused on a White House bid at this time.

Rubio has said he’d defer a presidential bid if Vance opts to announce. But Senator Ted Cruz of Texas is still actively considering a challenge to Vance.

James May Reveals What Really Happened with Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond After Their Business Shutdown

James May recently opened up about the possibility of reuniting with his long-time co-hosts Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond for a television comeback. This iconic trio embarked on an incredible 23-year journey together, starting with an unforgettable 15-year run on the BBC’s Top Gear, which then seamlessly transitioned to nearly a decade on the popular series, The Grand Tour.

Although The Grand Tour enjoyed immense success over its six seasons, the Amazon Prime show drew to a close with its special finale, One For The Road, in 2024. Reflecting on their decision to wrap up the show, James explained that the team felt they had “exhausted” its creative potential and were keen not to “overstay their welcome” with fans.

Both Jeremy and Richard shared this sentiment, emphasizing their desire for The Grand Tour to conclude on a high note while it remained beloved by its audience globally.

In a candid discussion on LBC this week, 63-year-old James May addressed whether this truly marks the end of the road for their dynamic partnership.

Confirming the dissolution of the production company that managed The Grand Tour last year, James added a hint of intrigue regarding a potential reunion: “You should never say never, should you? Because then someone might dig it up and hold it against you, but as of now, there’s nothing on the horizon.”

He also admitted he found it “slightly difficult” to “envisage” the trio making a comeback as “we’re knocking on a bit”.

“And there comes a point where you should let things lie,” he added. “There is a saying in showbusiness, isn’t there, that you should leave the audience wanting more and hopefully we have.”

“We always used to say, partly in jest, but actually we meant it, that the most difficult thing we had to do was to land it safely and not fly it into the cliffs,” he continued.

“And I think we just about did. But if you go on too long, you do end up flying it into the cliff.”

Since The Grand Tour was brought to an end the trio have embarked on their own adventures. Alongside presenting, Jeremy dived into the world of farming and is currently five seasons into his hit show Clarkson’s Farm.

The award-winning series documents challenges of him running Diddly Squat Farm, with the help of his team including right-hand man Kaleb Cooper and partner Lisa Hogan.

Richard has continued developing The Smallest Cog, his classic car restoration business and has also remained active on DriveTribe, founded by the trio, producing car reviews, workshop videos and challenges for YouTube.

He has also made appearances on various motoring and entertainment programmes, including a cameo in Clarkson’s Farm Season 4.

As for James, he fronted his travel series James May: Our Man In… from 2020 until 2024, when it was confirmed the show would not return for another series. The car enthusiast also fronted Amazon original, Oh Cook!, however it came to an end after two seasons.

Beyond television, the presenter continues to pursue entrepreneurial projects, including his James Gin brand, while producing digital content for his YouTube channel.

Illinois Worker Rescued After Six Hours Trapped in Gas Station Sign Too High for Ladders

0

In a daunting incident, an Illinois maintenance worker found himself stuck for over six hours inside a 130-foot-tall gas station sign due to a malfunctioning lift.

The worker, identified as AJ Gow, was conducting maintenance on the massive sign located near Lorenzo Road off Interstate 55 in Wilmington on a Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services were alerted at 1:55 p.m. when the Wilmington Fire District received a report of a worker trapped within an enclosed section of the sign, perched high on the sign pole.

“The telescopic boom lift used malfunctioned, and it was reported that the worker had been stuck in the elevated spot for approximately three hours,” explained the fire district officials in a social media update.

Rescue teams from the Wilmington Fire District sprung into action, climbing a boom lift to safely retrieve AJ Gow, the maintenance worker who had been ensnared in the sign perched on the towering 130-foot pole for hours on Tuesday. (Wilmington Fire District)

“The telescopic boom lift used by the worker had malfunctioned and Fire District personnel were told he had been at the elevated position for around 3 hours,” officials with the fire district said in a statement on social media.

Additionally, the sign pole had no stairs or ladders built into it, making it impossible for rescue teams to climb up without another lift, officials said.

Another problem was that the Wilmington Fire District’s trucks have ladders that only go 100 feet in the air, which meant Gow was 30 feet out of reach.

Eventually fire officials located another boom lift in the Joliet area, which is roughly 20 miles north of the rest stop. The lift was brought to the sign with an Illinois State Police escort, officials said.

After the new lift was in place, firefighters were able to reach Gow and get him back to the ground, the fire district said.

Gow thanked all the first responders from different departments that came to his aid, saying that “seeing that lift roll up with police escorts was the highlight of my day for sure!!”

Gow later said on social media that he spent over six hours in a cramped position within the interior of the sign.

“I was too hot and thirsty to be anxious. I was moreso nauseous and dizzy. And incredibly uncomfortable to be in for over 6 hours. It was only 16″ wide and wasn’t even tall enough to stand fully upright either,” Gow wrote in response to someone commenting on the fire district’s post.

In another comment, Gow said the sign “kept swaying with the wind.”

Gow said that after he got down, he went to the hospital to be treated for dehydration. News Media reached out to Gow for comment.

World Leaders Unite in Washington for Lindsey Graham’s Funeral Amid Trump Diplomacy Talks

0

World leaders, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, are set to converge on Tuesday for the funeral of the late Senator Lindsey Graham. However, alongside bidding farewell, these leaders may also engage in crucial diplomatic talks during their visit.

As Benjamin Netanyahu lands in town, he is slated to meet with President Trump, as confirmed by Netanyahu’s office.

According to an official statement, “Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accepted President Trump’s invitation and will travel to Washington next Monday for an official visit.”

The statement further elaborates that during the Washington visit, Netanyahu will not only meet President Trump at the White House on Tuesday but will also attend the funeral ceremonies honoring Senator Lindsey Graham, a long-time ally of Israel.

In the days preceding his passing on July 11, Senator Graham visited Kyiv, where he met with President Zelensky. During this visit, Graham fervently advocated for new sanctions against Russia, marking his final diplomatic efforts.

Zelensky will be traveling to Washington for the funeral, but additional meetings could also take shape, according to a source familiar with the planning.

Dodgers Star Opted Out of Trump Visit: Expert Insight

During a visit to the White House on Thursday, Los Angeles Dodgers standout Roki Sasaki reportedly displayed signs of unease, as observed by a body language authority.

Months after their intense Game 7 win, which secured them consecutive championships, the reigning titleholders took a brief trip to Washington, D.C., to commemorate their success with President Donald Trump.

The celebratory event unfolded in the Rose Garden, where the team showcased their recent Commissioner’s Trophies. They also gifted President Trump a personalized white No. 47 Dodgers jersey.

Despite the celebratory atmosphere, starting pitcher Sasaki seemed uncomfortable, portraying distress from his spot behind the President, according to insights from body language expert Inbaal Honigman.

Honigman’s analysis suggests that the Japanese athlete struggled with his placement behind Trump during the event.

‘During the first few minutes, Sasaki is seen wiping his face multiple times,’ Honigman said, via Casino.org. ‘This is a sign of mental fatigue, as if trying to wipe away a problem.

‘Sasaki’s eyes glance from side to side, looking as though he’s searching for an escape route, and his lips are pressed together, a sign of disapproval. His distressed expression never leaves his face.

‘At times, his chin juts forward as if urging himself to stay brave; at others, he sways gently from side to side, seemingly soothing himself.

‘Sasaki’s body language, along with his sweating and constant movement, gives the impression that he doesn’t want to be there.’

While Sasaki, despite his distress, joined Shohei Ohtani and the majority of their star teammates in ignoring the fan backlash and attending the festivities, some key figures were noticeably absent from the podium.

Mookie Betts opted to skip the ceremonial visit entirely to spend time with his family, while Kike Hernandez missed out due to being on the injured list and not traveling on the team’s current road swing.

Trump, meanwhile, opened his speech on the day with a slight dig at Joe Biden.

‘This is really the new Rose Garden. How beautiful this is. This used to be grass. And it was always wet. The White House is built on a wetland,’ he said on the day.

‘We had a lot of very upset women who would stand there in high heels. And they’d go down like quicksand. I decided to do something about it.

‘This has become an incredible area for dining, and news conferences. This is the first time we’ve ever used the new Rose Garden. You think Biden would do this? I don’t think so.’

He also revealed that he made a friendly bet with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney with the Dodgers having faced off against Canada’s Toronto Blue Jays in the seven-game series clash – a wager he was evidently proud of, according to Honigman.

‘When Trump talks about the bet he made with the Prime Minister of Canada, he comes across as proud of himself, as though the achievement were his own,’ the body language expert claimed.

‘Raising his chin, the memory appears to fill him with a sense of power and superiority. Rubbing the sides of the podium with his hands, he seems excited to share the story.’

Honigman claimed that throughout the address Trump tried ‘his best to stick to the script,’ which was allegedly different behavior to that of his first term in the Oval Office.

The President reportedly appears ‘keen to project a different, more responsible and focused persona than he used to.’

Honigman adds: ‘Trump’s body language as he cedes the podium is proud and delighted. He appears to feel that he’s done a fantastic job with the address. Trump’s tongue touches the corner of his mouth, a sign of smugness. He adjusts his jacket, a gesture that signifies status, as though he feels above everyone else there.’

Dodgers front-office leadership was also split for the trip, with owner Mark Walter, team president Stan Kasten and executive vice president Lon Rosen accompanying the players to Washington.

However, president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman and general manager Brandon Gomes remained behind to focus on roster strategy ahead of MLB’s upcoming trade deadline.

Prior to the event, manager Dave Roberts, infielder Miguel Rojas and reliever Will Klein also made a separate afternoon visit to the Capitol building to meet with lawmakers.

The Dodgers flew into Washington on Wednesday night following their series against the Philadelphia Phillies and will travel up to New York for a matchup against the Mets.

Guilty Plea in Heart-Wrenching 2024 Apalachee High School Shooting Stuns Georgia Community

0

Colt Gray, a 16-year-old from Georgia, pleaded guilty on Friday to all 55 charges connected to a harrowing shooting incident at Apalachee High School, opting for this without striking a plea agreement with the prosecution. This tragic event claimed the lives of two educators and two students in 2024, echoing through the Atlanta community.

WINDER, Ga. — Nearly two years after gunfire erupted at Apalachee High School, turning an ordinary day into a nightmare, a young defendant has pleaded guilty. The school, located just north of Atlanta, was the scene of a devastating shooting that left a trail of loss and heartbreak, with Gray admitting to all counts charged against him.

Gray had initially entered a plea of not guilty following the catastrophic events of September 4, 2024, which resulted in the deaths of four individuals—two students and two teachers—and caused injuries to several others. Situated approximately 45 miles northeast of Atlanta, the school became the focal point of national attention after the senseless violence unfolded.

As the legal proceedings advance, Judge Nicholas Primm of the Barrow County Superior Court is set to review case summaries, evaluate evidence, and consider the sentencing recommendations from both the defense and the prosecution before rendering Gray’s final sentence.

Initially, Gray’s trial was slated to commence in mid-October in Columbia County, approximately 100 miles from the original crime scene. This change of venue decision was granted by the judge, aligned with a request from Gray’s defense team aiming for a fair trial.

A jury in March convicted his father, Colin Gray, on charges including second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter, and he is scheduled to be sentenced next week. Prosecutors said the elder Gray gave his son the assault-style rifle used to open fire at the school.

Teachers Richard “Ricky” Aspinwall, 39, and Cristina Irimie, 53, and students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14, died in the shooting. Another teacher and eight more students were wounded, seven of them hit by gunfire.

Colt Gray, 16, previously pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges in the Sept. 4, 2024, shooting that killed two students and two teachers, and left several others wounded, at the high school about 45 miles (73 kilometers) northeast of Atlanta.

Barrow County Superior Court Judge Nicholas Primm has set a “Non-Negotiated Plea and Sentencing Hearing” to begin Friday. Gray’s trial had been scheduled to start in mid-October in Columbia County, about 100 miles (160 kilometers) from where the shooting happened, after the judge agreed to a defense request for a change of venue.

Gray was led into the courtroom with his feet chained together and sat at a table with his attorney. Members of the community, including some relatives of victims, were on hand in the courtroom.

A jury in March convicted Gray’s father, Colin Gray, on charges including second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter, and he is scheduled to be sentenced next week.

A non-negotiated plea means that the state and the defense have not reached an agreement on a sentence. Unlike a negotiated plea deal, in which a defendant often pleads guilty in exchange for an agreed-upon sentence and possibly reduced charges, sentencing is left entirely to the judge. The judge decides the sentence after hearing each side’s summary of the case, evidence and sentencing recommendation.

Prosecutors have indicated in court filings that they intend to call teenage victims and witnesses to testify and to show surveillance video and crime scene photos during Friday’s hearing. They have also noted that they may introduce a slew of records, including 911 calls and Colt Gray’s school, medical and social media records.

Gray’s defense attorney wrote in a court filing that he plans to call a psychologist, a counselor at the juvenile detention center where he has been held and his grandmother to testify.

Gray, who was 14 at the time of the shooting, was charged as an adult with 55 total counts, including murder in the four deaths and 25 counts of aggravated assault.

Investigators testified that the teenager carried the rifle onto the school bus with the barrel wrapped in a poster board. They said he left his second-period class and emerged from a bathroom with the rifle, shooting people in a classroom and hallway.

Investigators have said Colt Gray carefully plotted the shooting at the high school of 1,900 students. A Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent testified that the teen left a notebook in his classroom with step-by-step instructions and a diagram to prepare for the assault, including an estimate that he could kill as many as 26 people and wound as many as 13 others.

Sheriff’s deputies interviewed Colt and Colin Gray in May 2023 about an online threat linked to the son. Colt Gray denied making the threat. He skipped eighth grade, enrolled as a freshman at Apalachee after the academic year had begun and then had a spotty attendance record.

Investigators found a shrine in Colt Gray’s bedroom to Nikolas Cruz, the shooter in the 2018 massacre at Florida’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, prosecutors said.

An investigator testified during Colin Gray’s trial that he had been aware that his son’s mental health had deteriorated and sought help from a counseling service weeks before the shooting, citing anger, anxiety and volatility. But the father never followed through on getting help for his son, the investigator said.

His mother, Marcee Gray, who was separated from Colin Gray, told investigators she had urged him weeks before the shooting to secure his guns and restrict their son’s access to them. Instead, over time, Colin Gray bought the boy ammunition, a gun sight and other shooting accessories, records show.

Journalist’s Tragic Fate: Shot, Burned, Found on Farm

0

Global journalism groups are urging an exhaustive probe following the discovery of a sports journalist’s burned body on a farm in Italy.

The remains of 53-year-old Luigi “Luca” Esposito were uncovered by firefighters on July 19 as they extinguished a blaze on a farm in Eboli, according to a statement from the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ).

Investigators suspect that Esposito was fatally shot before being soaked in a flammable substance and set alight, as reported by Italian news source Il Mattino. Nonetheless, the specific cause of death is still undetermined, and the investigation into his demise continues.

The report indicates that firefighters responded to the farm, situated just south of Salerno, after flames were spotted by a security guard conducting a routine patrol.

Authorities managed to identify Esposito’s body using his car, which was discovered at the location, as noted by the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ).

Surveillance footage allegedly showed Esposito arriving in the rural area, along with another man, then stopping the vehicle and letting it idle for several minutes, La Città di Salerno reported.

The Salerno Public Prosecutor’s Office is reportedly investigating the case as a homicide, CPJ reported. Oxygen reached out to the prosecutor’s office for additional comment, but did not receive an immediate response.

“We are deeply shocked by the brutal killing of Italian sports journalist Luca Esposito,” CPJ’s Europe representative Attila Mong noted in the statement. “Italian authorities must act quickly and transparently to establish the full circumstances and determine whether this terrible event is linked to Luca Esposito’s journalism.”

Esposito was a freelance sports journalist often contributing to the daily newspaper Città di Salerno and TV station Otto Channel, according to the EFJ. He also served as the editor-in-chief of a website specializing in soccer news.

In addition, Esposito also worked for the Regional Environmental Agency (Arpac) in Avellino, the organization reported.

“The motives behind the crime are not known. The EFJ and the IFJ call on the Italian authorities to conduct a thorough investigation as quickly as possible in order to establish any causal links between the crime and the victim’s journalistic activities,” the organization noted in its statement, while also referencing the International Federations of Journalists (IFJ). “The IFJ and the EFJ also wish to express their condolences to the victim’s family and loved ones.”

Savannah Bananas’ Star Jackson Responds to ‘DWTS’ Advantage Allegations

Savannah Bananas sensation Jackson Olson is addressing the criticism surrounding his stint on season 35 of Dancing With the Stars. Some have expressed concerns that his background with a lively baseball team known for its dance antics might give him an upper hand compared to his fellow celebrity contestants.

On Thursday, July 23, Olson, 28, tackled these concerns by posting a playful video on Instagram. In the clip, he pretends to chat with someone who accuses him of having “an unfair advantage” since he’s “already a dancer.”

The video features highlights of Olson in action during various Savannah Bananas games, showcasing his entertaining dance moves like twerking and general field antics. A cheeky caption accompanies the footage: “Yeah so the first rehearsal will be interesting 😭.”

In an important observation, DWTS enthusiasts reminded Olson that the realm of ballroom dance differs significantly from the lighthearted dancing he’s accustomed to. Olson joins a lineup for season 35 that includes The Traitors alum Maura Higgins, Summer House star Ciara Miller, and Jimmy Kimmel Live! sidekick Guillermo Rodriguez.

What to Know About Season 35 of 'Dancing With the Stars' So Far: Cast, Premiere Date and More

Season 35 of Dancing With the Stars is quickly coming together. In a fitting announcement during the Hulu Get Real House event in April, the news broke that Summer House‘s Ciara Miller and Love Island star Maura Higgins would soon join the dance floor. This was soon followed by confirmation of Savannah Bananas’ second baseman Jackson Olson’s participation the next month.

“When I was a kid, I never thought any of this was possible, even playing for the Bananas or anything like that,” Olson said on a May episode of Good Morning America. “I was a shy kid that never danced, never put myself out there, never entertained and found a passion for it. Now, I kind of manifested it.”

Olson reflected on his love for the competition show.

“[I] posted a couple TikToks last year, just joking, ‘Pranking my coach that I was going to be on the show,’ never thinking it was a possibility,” he quipped. “When I posted it, I’m, like, ‘Maybe there is a possibility.’ I saw some comments and thought, ‘Maybe this is possible.’”

Olson isn’t the only one nervous about his first practice for DWTS. Miller, 30, recently told Us she was also dealing with some anxiety about taking on such a challenging opportunity.

“Literally, my friend said today, he was like, ‘How do you think you’re gonna get past the jitters?’ He’s like, ‘Not only the live audience, but like the world?’ I was like, ‘You know what? I don’t need this right now. I don’t,’” Miller told Us earlier this month. “I wasn’t thinking about it, to be honest.”

Miller has put some thought, however, toward preparation.

“If I’ve learned anything from Love Island and Kenzie [Annis], it’s [that] I need to stretch more,” she added after cohosting Love Island: Aftersun. “You release a lot of tension from your hips, so I’m taking her advice and pivoting that into my Dancing With the Stars prep.”

She continued: “I want to be as flexible as I can for this, and obviously don’t want to be carried out on a stretcher when practice starts. So I’m trying to prep now. I’ve got my work cut out for me. It’s going to be an intense few months or however long I’m there, but obviously I’m going with the intention of giving it my all and to not go home within the first week.”

Dancing With the Stars season 35 will premiere on ABC and Disney+ this fall.

Prince Harry and Meghan Introduce Children to Princess Diana’s Ancestral Home

0

It appears Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have taken a meaningful trip with their children to a place rich with family history—Princess Diana’s former childhood home.

Meghan has shared pictured from her summer holiday with Harry

Meghan has delighted fans by posting photos from her summer escape with Harry.

Images recently shared by Meghan offer a glimpse into their summer holiday with Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie, now seven, and Princess Lilibet, aged five. The photos hint at a touching family visit to the serene Althorp estate, which holds special significance as the childhood home and final resting place of Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, who passed away in 1997.

The snap, which was seemingly taken at Althorp, shows Harry and Archie walking ahead through an avenue of trees and hedges holding bouquets of flowers with Lilibet trailing behind.

Meghan posted the image on Instagram with the caption: “Summer Holiday”
