A witness reportedly told the deputy he saw the gun and went inside to get his phone.
Post Miranda, Walker reportedly said he had been arguing with the victim by text when she came to the apartment complex, then he went downstairs, and they started arguing verbally. He said the victim pushed him down the stairs and he grabbed her neck while falling; he said he didn’t choke her. He said he then went back upstairs to call his girlfriend. When asked about the gun, Walker reportedly said he has a concealed carry permit and had the gun in his waistband, but it fell out while they were fighting. He said he immediately picked up the gun and put it back into his waistband. He denied pointing the gun at anyone or threatening anyone.

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:
What the Apostle Paul tells us in our theme scripture above is truly remarkable. He says no matter what situation we find ourselves, we’re never down and out. We’re never out of source. That’s because our sufficiency, our strength or divine energy is of God (2 Corinthians 3:5).
Think about that second line: We’re perplexed, but not in despair. That means we may be in a “strait betwixt two”; we may be in a situation of embarrassment, where we don’t know exactly where to turn at that moment; he says in spite of that seeming predicament, we’re never in despair. In other words, we’re not out of supply; we’re not in a hopeless situation.
There’s no disadvantage for the child of God. We’re never short of answers. We may be persecuted but not cast down; we’re indestructible. We’re always in victory regardless of the situation because we live in the Name of Jesus! That Name is the key to every door, the answer to every question, and the solution to every problem. Hallelujah!
In His Name, we always win. So it makes no difference the situation in which you may have found yourself today; count it all joy! Greater is He that is in you than all the adversaries and adversities you could ever face. The Bible says in 1 John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” The greater One lives in you; that’s your confidence and assurance of victory in every situation. 2 Corinthians 2:14 says, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” Hallelujah! It doesn’t matter what experiences you’ve been through; one thing is certain: all will turn out for your good! Trust the Lord and hold on to His Word. He knew there’d be challenges. Nevertheless, He gave us the assurance that in the midst of the challenges, we’d always be triumphant: “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Romans 8:37). Many people see the anointed and envy them; they also want to be able to lay hands on the sick and have them recover. The anointing to heal the sick is, however, available to every believer. Mark 16:17-18 says that if you are a believer, some signs will follow you, and this includes healing the sick. When you, however, study Matthew 8:14-18, you will see that the moment you have the healing gift, crowds will come. Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law, and then, in the evening, they brought all those who were sick and demon-possessed. The news spread so much that many people came to Him for healing.
If you want to be able to lay hands on the sick for their healing, you must be ready for hard work – you will preach, heal, and comfort the brokenhearted. If anyone is in any form of trouble, they will call on you. You will also have to set the captives free, so demon-possessed people will be paying you constant visits, and according to Ephesians 6:12, casting out demons involves spiritual wrestling. Spiritual wrestling is not for the lazy, so if you want to be anointed, you cannot afford to be lazy. The Lord Jesus had the anointing (Acts 10:38), but in Mark 6:31, He had to tell the disciples, “Let us take a break,” because He became so busy that there wasn’t enough time to even eat. If you really want to be anointed, you must be ready to work. I am not saying this to frighten you, I am saying it to get you prepared because someone reading this devotional now is going to get powerfully anointed soon, in Jesus’ name.
Many years ago, I read 1 Corinthians 12:31 which says: But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
I realised God approves for His children to be covetous of the best spiritual gifts, so I told God, “Lord, I want double the anointing on Elisha, Paul, Peter, and Jesus when He was on earth. Add everything together and then double it again.” God responded, “You are asking for a dangerous thing; people won’t let you rest.” I said, “I don’t mind.” How forward we can be sometimes. I now have a better understanding of His warning. If you really desire to be anointed, pray the prayer point for today with all your heart.

TEXT: Luke 12:32-48 (KJV)
32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
33 Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth.
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
35 Let your loins be girded about, and your lights burning;
36 And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return from the wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.
37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.
39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.
40 Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.
41 Then Peter said unto him, Lord, speakest thou this parable unto us, or even to all?
42 And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.
47 And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.
DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:
The United States Geological Survey (USGS) usually warns Americans of looming volcanic events. One of such was in 2009 during the “Redoubt Eruption” in Alaska. All businesses and people were encouraged to display warning and preparedness signs that indicate that a volcano may erupt anytime soon. Communities and the people were warned of the risk ahead and to be ready for any emergency. Due to these series of warnings and enlightenment, safety and mitigation strategies were put in place to reduce the impact of the volcano.
In our text, the Lord reveals the important elements of believers’ readiness for the kingdom of God at the end of time. Part of the preparation is constant watching, being occupied with His business, faithfulness in service and complete obedience to His will. He also cautions against complacency, unpreparedness and dereliction of duty. Finally, the Lord reminds the disciples that there is severe punishment for the unprepared (Luke 12:47,48).
Believers who fail to prepare for Christ’s return, despite all these warnings, will be caught unaware. Those who choose to remain in sin, hypocrisy and backsliding and fail to appropriate the sacrifice of Christ to escape eternal damnation will have no excuse before God. Like the foolish virgins, they knew that the Lord’s coming was imminent but chose not to provide enough oil for their lamps.
As believers, we should be wise enough to prepare and meet our Lord and Saviour either in rapture or in death and eventually reign with Him. To do this, we are to be awakened to righteousness, conscientiously serving the Lord and bringing sinners to Christ.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY Knowledge of Christ’s coming is useless if it does not make you prepared.
