Jude Law’s former partner has responded to Chappell Roan’s claims, refuting the singer’s denials regarding an incident where Law’s 11-year-old daughter was reportedly left in tears by a security guard.

Jorginho, a former Chelsea and Arsenal player, who is currently married to Catherine Harding, took to Instagram on Saturday to address the situation. He alleged that his wife’s daughter, who she shares with Jude Law, was confronted by a bodyguard associated with the Pink Pony Club singer at a hotel in Brazil after the young girl recognized the star.

Chappell Roan had previously taken to her own Instagram account, clarifying that the individual involved was not her personal security and that she did not instruct anyone to approach the child, presumably Ada Law. In response, Catherine Harding decided to share her perspective on the incident.

In her Instagram post, Catherine expressed, “I acknowledge Chappell’s statement that it was not her security and that she had no involvement, but I am certain this individual was not a hotel security guard. He seemed to be responsible for artists.”

She continued, “While I can’t confirm if he is her personal bodyguard, he was definitely with her. Whether she directed him to act, I’m unsure, and I would like to believe she didn’t. However, as a public figure, you bear the responsibility for ensuring those who represent you behave accordingly,” Catherine concluded.

‘So would he do that if he didn’t have her authority? I don’t know. If he does, thats a big problem. because then he is representing her in a way she doesn’t want to be represented’.

Catherine contained that Chappell was right to say she ‘didn’t notice anything’ because nothing happened and claimed all her daughter did was walk silently past the hitmaker’s table.

‘[My daughter] didn’t have her phone, she didn’t try to take a picture, she didn’t do anything, she just looked at [Chappell] and smiled’.

Catherine went on to recall how a security guard, who she described as ‘aggressive and intimidating’ soon came over to their table and ‘berated’ her for being a bad parent.

‘He said we should not harass people and all these other things and I did try to explain to him that he was a child and she was just excited to see an artist she liked’.

She explained to him that her daughter, who has a famous father and stepfather, understood ‘boundaries’ acceptable to people in the public eye, but said the security guard did not listen. 

‘I hope [Chappell] did not know, I hope she did not send her security over to do this. I really think she is a very very talented artist we liked her a lot we came all the way to São Paulo to watch her show,

‘It was her birthday presented, she asked for tickets, it was a little bit ruined because we didn’t go to the show last night but that’s how it is’.

Before adding: ‘I hope that maybe if it wasn’t her that maybe she learns not to allow the people who work for her not to treat people like this’.

Meanwhile Catherine thanked Lewis Capaldi for his ‘kindness’ after he posed for a snap with the actor’s daughter on Sunday

It comes after Chappell said in a video on her Instagram Story: ‘I’m gonna tell my half of the story of what happened today with a mother and child who were involved with a security guard – who is not my personal security…

‘I didn’t even see. I didn’t even see a woman and a child. No one came up to me, no one bothered me. I was just sitting at breakfast at my hotel. I think these people were staying at the hotel as well. So the fact that a security guard who is…

‘I did not ask the security guard to go up and talk to this mother and child. I did not. They did not come up to me. I did not do anything. It’s unfair for security to just assume someone doesn’t have good intentions when they have no reason to believe it as there’s no action been taken.

‘I do not hate people who are fans of my music. I do not hate children, like that is crazy. I am sorry to the mother and child that someone was assuming something.

‘If you felt uncomfortable that makes me really sad. You did not deserve that.’ 

Meanwhile Catherine thanked  Lewis Capaldi for his ‘kindness’ after he posed for a snap with the actor’s daughter on Sunday.

She posted a snap of the tween as she beamed alongside the Scottish singer following his concert at Lollapalooza 2026 in São Paulo, which Chappell was headlining. 

Lewis gave a thumbs up to the camera with Catherine also jumping in for a snap as she captioned the post: ‘Thanks for your kindness’.

CHICAGO — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is urging authorities not to release a person of interest who is currently being interrogated regarding the murder of a Loyola University student.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, ICE has issued an arrest detainer for the individual, who they allege is an undocumented immigrant from Venezuela.

As of Sunday afternoon, official charges had yet to be confirmed by Chicago police.

The Chicago Police Department reported on Saturday that they were questioning a suspect linked to the fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday.

The victim, 18-year-old Sheridan Gorman, was with friends at Tobey Prinz Beach, which is located less than a mile from the university campus, when the incident happened around 1 a.m. on Thursday.

A male suspect approached the group on foot, took out a gun, and opened fire, police said.

Gorman, shot in the head, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

The student, a New York native, was just months away from finishing her first year of college. Police say she was not the intended target.

Gorman’s family asked anyone with information to come forward.

The family also said private and public services to honor Gorman’s life are being planned for next week in Yorktown, New York.

Gorman’s relatives have described her as “the light of our lives,” saying, “she made people feel seen, safe, and loved simply by being who she was.”
