Ghana’s World Cup Journey Ends in Defeat by Colombia, Dimming Africa’s Prospects

In a fiercely contested battle in Kansas City, Colombia secured the final coveted spot in the FIFA World Cup round of 16 by edging past Ghana with a narrow 1-0 victory. This result leaves just two African nations advancing to the next stage.

The decisive moment came courtesy of Jhon Arias, who found the net in the first half. Colombia dominated significant portions of the match, ensuring their progression to face Switzerland in the next round.

Several opportunities to widen their lead were carved out by the South Americans, yet they settled for the solitary goal. Ghana, on the other hand, struggled to pose any real offensive threat throughout the encounter.

Arias strikes after early setback

Injuries plagued both squads early on, adding an additional layer of complexity to the game.

Colombia was forced to make an early change when striker Jhon Cordoba suffered a groin injury, prompting the introduction of Luis Suarez. Meanwhile, Ghana faced a similar setback, losing defender Marvin Senaya to a hamstring issue, with Alidu Seidu taking his place on the field.

Colombia broke the deadlock in the 14th minute when Suarez burst down the right flank before delivering a cross to the far post. Arias arrived unmarked to guide a controlled volley into the net after Seidu failed to track his run.

Ghana’s best opportunity came through Thomas Partey, whose long-range effort drifted narrowly wide early in the game.

Antoine Semenyo also saw a shot deflected over the crossbar, but the Black Stars failed to seriously test the Colombian defence.

Before halftime, Luis Diaz and Suarez both missed chances to increase Colombia’s lead, while goalkeeper Lawrence Zigi produced an excellent save to keep out Johan Mojica’s header.

Ghana exit after blunt ouitng

Colombia continued to dominate after the break, with Richard Rios, Gustavo Puerta and Diaz all going close.

Diaz also had a goal ruled out for offside before being denied in a one-on-one situation by Zigi, who produced several important saves to keep Ghana in the contest.

Despite Colombia’s missed opportunities, Ghana struggled to create clear-cut chances and finished the match without a shot on target.

The defeat ended Ghana’s World Cup campaign, making them the eighth African country to exit the finals.

Colombia, meanwhile, advanced with confidence after another impressive performance and will face Switzerland in the last 16 as they continue their pursuit of a place in the quarter-finals.

Advice Column: Navigating a Marriage with a Partner Who Shifts Blame

0

DEAR ABBY: I’ve been married to my husband for a decade, during which I’ve seen him grapple with depression and anxiety. I’ve endeavored to be a steadfast support for him throughout these struggles.

Though my husband has attempted therapy multiple times, he has a pattern of abandoning it just when it begins to delve into meaningful areas for growth. He frequently claims that no one can truly understand his experiences, and this mindset affects nearly every facet of his life—his sleep, diet, and how he constantly tries to control me. Furthermore, he spends an excessive amount of time working out, often up to five hours daily.

His reluctance to face these challenges also spills over into his job and overall enjoyment of life. Despite taking frequent leave from work to supposedly get rest, it isn’t rest he seeks but other distractions. When I urge him to maintain a regular work routine, he becomes angry. His employer has started noticing his frequent absences, yet he blames them, feeling targeted rather than acknowledging his own part in the situation. Excuses are abundant, but acceptance of responsibility is not.

This situation has significantly strained our marriage and his bond with our two children, who miss having their father present. As a counselor, I recognize narcissistic traits in his behavior, though I still hold deep love for him. He has not always behaved this way, and I’m torn. While I don’t wish to give up on him, I’m uncertain of how to proceed. I cannot endure this indefinitely and must ensure our children live fulfilling lives. Seeking advice, I feel a bit like a single parent in New Mexico. — LIKE A SINGLE PARENT IN NEW MEXICO

DEAR SINGLE PARENT: Given your professional insight as a counselor, you likely understand that someone cannot be helped if they persistently refuse it. Your children’s well-being must become the priority. Offer your husband a clear ultimatum: seek help and commit to the therapeutic process, or you will need to leave with the children. The current environment you describe is unhealthy not only for them but also for yourself.

P.S. As I’m sure you are aware, some counselors have therapists. Please consider enlisting some emotional support for yourself as you make your way through this.

DEAR ABBY: I have a friend whom I love and enjoy being with. However, when we spend extended periods of time together, such as a few days on a trip, it doesn’t work well because of our personalities and belief systems. She is not aware of the struggles I have when spending more than a few hours with her and regularly invites me to go on trips with her. I have put her off a few times without telling her the truth. Is there a polite way to tell her that I’d rather not go on a trip with her? — BRIEFLY IN DELAWARE

DEAR BRIEFLY: Tell your friend that you love her and enjoy being with her, but that if it involves leaving home for any length of time it makes you “anxious.” You do not have to explain any further. You may, however, have to refrain from telling her about any travel you do with other, more compatible friends.

Goalkeeper Patrick Beach Speaks Out on Dramatic Last-Minute Substitution

0

In an unexpected twist during the 119th minute of Australia’s World Cup match against Egypt, coach Tony Popovic made a controversial decision: he substituted the young and talented goalkeeper Patrick Beach for the seasoned Mathew Ryan, despite Ryan not having seen any action in the tournament up to that point.

In hindsight, Popovic’s bold move, intended to perhaps leverage Ryan’s experience, did not produce the hoped-for success and has since become a topic of debate among fans and critics alike.

Unfortunately for Australia, this gamble did not achieve the desired result. After a 1–1 draw which led to penalties, Egypt successfully scored on all four attempts, knocking Australia out of the World Cup. This outcome drew significant criticism towards Popovic’s decision-making.

The substitution was particularly shocking, seeing that Beach had already made a notable impression throughout the tournament. The change seemed to take many by surprise, Beach included.

“I wasn’t aware of the substitution until it happened,” Beach admitted to SBS. “I just saw my name come up and jogged off.”

“[I] knew that it was obviously a plan behind something there, and I was just happy I did my part for the team when I was on the field.”

“Every goalkeeper wants to go the whole way and be the man there and try and do their best whether it’s myself or Matty [Ryan] … We both know that the only important thing is that the team wins”.

“There was a decision made that they thought was best, and we just acted on it.”

The 22-year-old Melbourne City goalkeeper made the headlines when he started in Australia’s first match against Türkiye and was in the lineup for all other matches, while many expected him to be Popovic’s third-choice keeper.

Some other players, including Jackson Irvine and Harry Souttar, said they were also unaware of the decision.

“Probably just before half-time of extra time, I got told that if we weren’t going to make any more subs, right at the end they were going to put me in there,” he said.

“I prepared as if I was going to play before the game or be in that scenario as I always do … Hurting at the moment because I wasn’t able to produce for myself, for my teammates and for the country.”

It is not the first time a manager has decided to change their goalkeeper during a World Cup knockout match just before a penalty shootout.

In the 2014 World Cup quarterfinal, Netherlands coach Louis Van Gaal substituted his keeper Jasper Cillessen with Tim Krul, who saved two of the penalties against Costa Rica.

But the risk didn’t pay dividends for the Socceroos this time.

Popovich has defended his decision, saying the team “felt that Maty’s experience would be the difference”.

“In the end, it didn’t, it didn’t work out that way, but not because of Maty’s poor judgment or lack of ability; they took critical penalties,” he said.

Open Heaven 4 July 2026 TOPIC – While It Is Day

MEMORISE: Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. – John 11:9 (KJV)

READ: Joshua 13:1-5 (KJV)

1 Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed.

2 This is the land that yet remaineth: all the borders of the Philistines, and all Geshuri,

3 From Sihor, which is before Egypt, even unto the borders of Ekron northward, which is counted to the Canaanite: five lords of the Philistines; the Gazathites, and the Ashdothites, the Eshkalonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avites:

4 From the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that is beside the Sidonians unto Aphek, to the borders of the Amorites:

5 And the land of the Giblites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrising, from Baalgad under mount Hermon unto the entering into Hamath.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Proverbs 15-17

Open Heaven 4 July 2026 MESSAGE

The account of some of Joshua’s great exploits can be found in Joshua 12. The chapter highlights all the kings he conquered and the lands he possessed. It was indeed a long list of victories, and any fellow who achieved the things Joshua did would be proud of such exploits. However, in the next chapter, which is today’s Bible reading, God told him that even though he was now old, there remained much land to be possessed. God then went ahead to list all the lands that remained unconquered, making him know that there was still so much to do.

Beloved, there is a set time when you must do the works of Him who sent you. In John 9:4, Jesus said, “l must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work” For every human, there is a daytime and a nighttime. The daytime is the portion of a fellow’s life when he or she is young and agile. In the daytime, a fellow has the strength to go around preaching the gospel of Christ and can fast and pray as long as he or she wants to. However, by nighttime, the fellow’s strength would have abated. Also, when some people’s nighttime comes, they become sick and are unable to continue working. Therefore, if you have the opportunity to do God’s work now, do it with all your strength and focus. Even if you are well advanced in years, the fact that you are alive means that there is still so much you can do for God, just as He showed Joshua in today’s Bible reading.

There are 24 hours in a day. Approximately half of those hours are characterised by the presence of sunlight, and during those hours, most people work on their goals. After those hours of light, darkness descends.

Jesus said in John 11:10 that if a man walks in the night, he stumbles. This means that NOW is the time to serve God and carry out any assignments He might have committed into your hands. You must get to work now because when the night comes, no one, including you, will be able to work. Therefore, work while it is still day. Don’t procrastinate God’s work. Heal the sick, preach the gospel, cast out demons, mentor the next generation, and let your light so shine before men that they may glorify your Father in heaven.

Open Heaven 4 July 2026 HYMN 4 – To The Work! To The Work! We Are Servants Of God

1 To the work! to the work!
we are servants of God,
Let us follow the path that our
Master has trod;
With the balm of His counsel
our strength to renew,
Let us do with our might what
our hands find to do.

Refrain:
Toiling on, toiling on,
Toiling on, toiling on,
Let us hope, let us watch,
And labour till the Master comes.

2 To the work! to the work!
let the hungry be fed,
To the fountain of life let
the weary be led!
In the cross and its banner
our glory shall be,
While we herald the tidings,
“Salvation is free!”

3 To the work! to the work!
there is labour for all,
For the kingdom of darkness
and error shall fall;
And the name of Jehovah exalted shall be,
In the loud-swelling chorus,
“Salvation is free!”

4 To the work! to the work!
in the strength of the Lord,
And a robe and a crown shall
our labour reward,
When the home of the faithful
our dwelling shall be,
And we shout with the ransomed,
“Salvation is free!”

Interpol Red Notice Issued for Ukrainian Woman in Monaco Oligarch Bombing Case

0

On Friday, the International Criminal Police Organization, known as Interpol, issued a red notice for 39-year-old Anastasiia Berezovska, a Ukrainian woman accused of orchestrating a bombing at a Monaco apartment complex. This attack allegedly targeted a Ukrainian oligarch with ties to Russia.

The explosion on June 30 at the apartment building, as reported by various media outlets, left Vadym Yermolaiev, a construction tycoon originally from Ukraine, injured.

Though Monaco’s public prosecutor, Stéphane Thibault, refrained from naming the victims, it’s been reported that the blast also wounded a woman and a 13-year-old child thought to be members of Yermolaiev’s family.

Interpol now lists Berezovska as wanted for attempted murder, placing an explosive device with the intent to harm on a public highway, as well as for criminal association.

Interpol identified the Ukrainian national as a dark-haired German-speaking woman who possibly has a tattoo of a snake on her arm.

The 39-year-old suspect was initially believed to be a heavy-set man. Monaco Deputy Prosecutor Morgan Raymond even initially referred to the suspect in masculine terms.

“He stood up a few meters ahead of the victims, placed an explosive device taken from his shopping bag on the entrance steps of the building, then turned to confirm the presence of the three victims before triggering the explosion using a remote control,” Raymond said at an initial news conference after the incident.

Prosecutors reviewed footage of the days leading up to the explosion, finding that a man wearing a fishing hat repeatedly cased the apartment building and surrounding area. However, on June 28, the man was absent from security footage. Instead, a woman — who prosecutors now believe to be Berezovska — followed the same patterns as the man.

“The repeated reconnaissance operations and the pauses made in front of the building clearly demonstrate the intention to specifically target the three victims,” Raymond said.

Investigators tracked her escape across the Monaco-France border, through Italy and into Germany, where authorities are now actively looking for her. They raided her Frankfurt apartment Thursday.

Raymond noted that the sophistication of her explosive device gives prosecutors reason to believe she did not act alone.

“The relative sophistication of the explosive device and the modus operandi appear to indicate that the person who placed the device was not acting alone,” Morgan said.

Though authorities have provided no motive, Yermolaiev’s status as a sanctioned former Ukrainian is notable.

The 58-year-old construction tycoon renounced his Ukrainian citizenship in 2017, Ukrainian media reported, and has been a citizen of Cyprus since 2019.

In 2023, the Ukrainian government sanctioned him for allegedly continuing to engage with Russia, paying taxes to Moscow and facilitating business transactions through his liquor business in Crimea, a Ukrainian peninsula which Russia annexed in 2014.

Family Files Wrongful Death Lawsuit After Cop’s Suicide Post-LASIK Surgery

0

The family of a Pennsylvania police officer, who took his own life following laser eye surgery, has initiated a wrongful death lawsuit.

Ryan Kingerski, a 26-year-old police officer serving the Penn Hills Police Department near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was discovered dead in January 2025 in a wooded area off Old William Penn Highway. His death occurred just over five months after he underwent LASIK eye surgery, as detailed in the lawsuit filed by his family.

The legal action, brought forward by Kingerski’s parents, Timothy and Stefanie Kingerski, alleges that he endured ‘severe and debilitating complications’ resulting from the quick elective procedure, which included unbearable pain, double vision, and ongoing headaches.

In their lawsuit, Kingerski’s parents assert that their son was not adequately informed about the risks associated with the procedure, and the resulting complications ultimately led to him ending his life.

“He left us a note that said, ‘I can’t take this anymore. LASIK took everything from me,'” Tim Kingerski shared with KDKA-TV last year. “That’s the note that we received.”

The lawsuit, filed Monday, names LASIKPlus Pittsburgh, its parent company LCA-Vision and Dr Michael Rom, the ophthalmologist who performed the surgery in 2024.

Rom’s biography on LASIKPlus’ website claims he has performed more than 35,000 LASIK procedures since 2006.

Kingerski’s family is seeking unspecified damages under Pennsylvania’s wrongful death statute, which allows a personal representative of a deceased person’s estate to file a lawsuit to recover financial losses and emotional damages.

Ryan Kingerski (pictured above), a 26-year-old police officer in Pennsylvania, died by suicide five months after receiving LASIK surgery

Representatives for LASIKPlus and Rom could not be immediately reached by the Daily Mail for comment. LASIK.com posted a statement on May 29, 2025, in response to news reports of Kingerski’s death and his family linking it to LASIK.

‘The news reports of Ryan Kingerski are devastating. A 26-year-old officer from Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, described by those who loved him as witty, charming, and full of life, is no longer here,’ the statement read.

‘The emotional weight of these news reports have led some to imply that LASIK is inherently unsafe, that it “took everything” from Ryan. It’s a heartbreaking statement. But it is also a statement that fails to reflect both the broader reality of LASIK outcomes and the complexity of suicide causality itself.

‘What we need is balance, not fearmongering or blind defense. We need doctors and surgical centers to continue to take every patient’s concerns seriously, to continue to provide consistent follow-up, and to continue to ensure informed consent is not just a formality but a meaningful conversation. We also need compassion and nuance when tragedies like this occur.

‘Suffering often craves an explanation. It’s human. But we must remember that sometimes the most painful truths are also the most complicated, and that no headline, no statistic, and no single story can explain the full depth of someone’s mental or physical suffering.’

LASIK surgery – which stands for Laser-Assisted in Situ Keratomileusis – is an outpatient surgery that permanently reshapes the eye’s cornea to correct vision issues such as nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.

Patients are given numbing drops rather than general anesthesia and can return home immediately after.

LASIK typically costs $4,000 to $6,000, depending on the type of laser used and the severity of eye conditions being treated.

About 600,000 to 800,000 LASIK surgeries are performed in the US each year.

Kingerski, pictured above, allegedly suffered from vision loss, dizziness, headaches, blurred vision, eye strain and nausea after LASIK surgery, according to the lawsuit

The procedure typically causes dry eyes, visual disturbances like spots or sensitivity to bright light, inflammation and possible infection, all of which tend to resolve within several weeks or months, according to health authorities.

However, experts warn patients with pre-existing eye conditions like dry eye and thin corneas, as well as autoimmune conditions, may experience more severe forms of these side effects.

The lawsuit claims that ‘at no time prior to the surgery did Dr Rom inform Mr Kingerski of the general or individualized risks of LASIK.’ The lawsuit also alleges that the surgery center ‘undertook a deceptive marketing scheme to lead consumers like Mr Kingerski to believe that LASIK was entirely safe and without consequences.’

According to the lawsuit, Kingerski had nearsightedness – also known as myopia – and thin eye tissue, which means more tissue often has to be removed during LASIK.

The lawsuit alleges that Rom never examined Kingerski himself prior to the procedure and only met him minutes before starting surgery.

Attorneys wrote that Kingerski was not given the informed consent paperwork until he had already paid for the procedure and had his eyes dilated.

The surgery took place on August 14, 2024, and the lawsuit alleges that ‘almost immediately after surgery, Mr Kingerski began experiencing significant and painful complications.’

By August 19, according to the lawsuit, Kingerski ‘reported feeling like he could not function.’ He reported vision loss, dizziness, headaches, blurred vision, eye strain and nausea. By September 9, Rom had allegedly written a letter on Kingerski’s behalf seeking short-term disability benefits.

Kingerski's parents have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against LASIKPlus, its parent company LCA-Vision and Dr Michael Rom, the ophthalmologist who performed the surgery in 2024. Kingerski is pictured above with his mother

The lawsuit claims Kingerski began speaking out about his experience in online reviews and on social media in November 2024.

The lawsuit also alleges by the time he sought a letter for long-term disability benefits in December, LASIKPlus and Rom had dropped him as a patient due to his online comments.

According to the lawsuit, Kingerski’s mental and emotional health began suffering as his symptoms worsened, even though he ‘had no prior mental or behavioral health history.’

‘The direct and proximate cause of Mr Kingerski’s suicide was LASIK and the associated complications he experienced with the procedure, all of which were the predictable consequence of his preoperative clinical picture,’ his family’s lawyers wrote in the lawsuit.

Top Home Exercises Recommended by Physical Therapists for Improved Balance After 60

A strong and stable body is essential for moving safely and with confidence.

>

Physical therapists play a vital role in helping individuals regain their functional abilities. Whether aiding recovery from injury or managing chronic conditions, these professionals focus on crucial aspects of movement, with balance being a key area. Stability is of the utmost importance; it enables you to navigate your environment safely and prevents falls and injuries. Everyday activities—like walking outside to collect the mail, stepping over a puddle, or reaching for something on a high shelf—rely heavily on balance. Thanks to their expertise in functional movement, physical therapists often emphasize strengthening exercises, walking patterns, spatial awareness, and even inner-ear exercises to enhance balance.

We reached out to a physical therapist to learn about the four expert-recommended exercises for restoring balance after the age of 60.

“Balance exercises are specifically designed to retrain proprioceptors and refine the brain’s processing of balance. This leads to quicker and more accurate reactions, ultimately improving balance and reducing fall risks. By practicing balance, you enhance sensory integration, allowing the primary balance systems—vision, vestibular, and proprioceptive—to function together effectively,” explains W. Zach Smith, Founder and Doctor of Physical Therapy at HIDEF Physical Therapy.

With this in mind, let’s delve into the details!

Single-Leg Balance

  1. Stand tall on a flat surface with your feet hip-width apart and arms at your sides.
  2. Shift your body weight onto your left foot.
  3. Lift your right foot off the ground.
  4. Activate your core while keeping your shoulders stacked over your ribs and your hips level.
  5. Hold the single-leg balance for 30 seconds.
  6. Repeat on the other side.

Tandem Walk

  1. Stand tall.
  2. Begin walking straight, placing one foot right in front of the other, heel to toe.
  3. Take 10 steps without losing your balance.

The 16 Best Exercises To Regain Your Balance After 60

Squats

Over 45? If You Can Wall Sit This Long, Your Body Beats Your Age

Step-Ups

  1. Begin by standing tall, facing a sturdy workout bench, plyometric box, or step that’s about knee height.
  2. Place your left foot firmly onto the surface, keeping your core engaged and chest tall.
  3. Press through your left heel to lift your body until your left leg is straight and you’re standing on the surface.
  4. Use control to lower back to the start position.
  5. Repeat on the other side.

DCLM Daily Manna 4 July 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Lot of The Foolish

TOPIC: Lot of The Foolish (DCLM Daily Manna 4 July 2026)

KEY VERSE: The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise – Proverbs 12:15

TEXT: Proverbs 12:14-20 (KJV)

14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompence of a man’s hands shall be rendered unto him.

15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

16 A fool’s wrath is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.

17 He that speaketh truth sheweth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.

18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.

19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

20 Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil: but to the counsellors of peace is joy.

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

A man who was hard-of-hearing was in the company of new acquaintances. One of the people entertained them with a funny story that sent everyone laughing. They observed that the man was not tickled by the story and suspected that he had a hearing impairment. When he realised what was happening, he belittled the story that caused the laughter, and told them he had a funnier story. They listened to him repeat the same story that had been told earlier. This confirmed the people’s suspicion, and as they laughed at his blunder, he interjected, “Didn’t I tell you I’d tell a funnier story that would cause you more laughter?”

The unwarranted pretence of the hard-of-hearing man is akin to the self-conceit of a fool. Today’s text highlights some of the traits of a foolish person and their bitter consequences. Many things are associated with foolishness, but the worst is that the fool’s way is right in his own eyes. By this, he prevents himself from ever getting wise. Foolery spares no aspect of the fool’s life. He speaks indiscreetly, walks loftily, acts sinfully, and thinks deceitfully and vainly. He brings upon himself unimaginable misery here and hereafter. Conversely, the wise treads cautiously and righteously and experiences true fulfilment, peace, and joy now and in eternity.

Someone is not a fool because of an occasional decision or choice. Sometimes, we make such mistakes. The Bible says, “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.” A fool is, therefore, a person who disregards God; a practical atheist who acts as if there is no God. This disposition is at the root of all the deviant behaviours and wicked practices around us. The grim consequences of this indiscretion are too glaring to ignore – premature death, preventable diseases, unfulfilled careers, miserable living, and dishonour, to mention a few.

God invites you to savour His wisdom and the associated truth and righteousness, which result in satisfaction, peace, joy, and fulfilment. True wisdom is not gained from intellectual or academic exertion or exposure through travel and interactions. “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10). Rudimentary knowledge of God is not enough. The more you understand God’s word, the wiser you become.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Recovery from foolishness starts when a fool realises his foolishness

But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God (Romans 2:29).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

God’s definition of your identity isn’t based on outward signs or experiences but on inward realities, the transformation that has taken place in your spirit. The Bible makes it clear: true circumcision isn’t in the flesh; it’s of the heart, in the spirit. This is the mark of the new covenant—an inward transformation that defines who you are before God.

The challenge for many isn’t the absence of this reality but the absence of its consciousness. You may have something, but if you’re not conscious of it, you may never experience or live in its power. Consider David: he knew he was in covenant with God. That consciousness produced uncommon boldness in him to confront and defeat Goliath.

But Saul, who was king at the time and was head and shoulders above everyone else in Israel, had the same covenant but he lacked the consciousness, and therefore, he recoiled in fear against Goliath. The difference wasn’t in what they possessed; it was in what had dawned on their hearts.

That’s the call to you today. You’ve been circumcised in the heart. This isn’t symbolic; it’s a spiritual reality. It’s the token of your oneness with Christ. It’s the seal that you’re the heir of the Abrahamic blessings: “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” (Galatians 3:29).

This has to dawn on your spirit and be the only perspective from which you reason and view life. Be ever conscious that you carry within you the life of God, the incorruptible, invincible life of divinity. If this isn’t real to you, you may live beneath your privileges; limited in experience, though unlimited in potential. You may be religious, yet ineffective.

But the moment this truth grips your spirit, everything changes: Your thinking aligns with your identity. Your words carry authority. Your life produces results. There’s no seemingly hopeless situation that you can’t change. That’s your heritage as one who’s circumcised in the spirit.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the reality of my new life in Christ. I’m circumcised in the heart, in the spirit, and I live in the full consciousness of this truth. Your life in me is active, and I walk in dominion, growing in grace and in the knowledge of your truth steadily, in Jesus’ Name.
