Brooklyn Beckham is once again in the spotlight, this time for his participation in a promotional video with a popular food delivery service, coinciding with the buzz of the World Cup. In the video, Brooklyn addresses the camera, saying, “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home…” He wraps up the ad with a chuckle, noting, “It’s a long story.” The commercial, created by DoorDash, has sparked intrigue and speculation about hidden messages.
Notably, the ad showcases Brooklyn wearing a brand new watch placed on his coffee table, seemingly dismissing the significance of his £250,000 Patek Philippe Nautilus watch given to him by his father, David Beckham. David, a legendary soccer player, participated in three World Cups in 1998, 2002, and 2006. This deliberate display has left many wondering about its implications.
Adding to the intrigue, the video also features a stack of unopened letters, which some viewers interpret as a symbolic nod to Brooklyn’s rumored distance from his family. This subtle detail has fueled discussions about his relationship with his famous parents.
Friends close to David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly been taken aback by what they perceive as a subtle jab in the advertisement. Meanwhile, television personality Piers Morgan has openly criticized Brooklyn’s involvement in the ad campaign.
In a statement shared on social media platform X, Piers Morgan expressed his disbelief, comparing Brooklyn to another well-known figure, writing, “Wow. He really is the Prince Harry of spoiled brat entitled sons. Imagine doing this to your family for cash?” This comment has only added to the swirling controversy surrounding the video.
One X user responded: “You got a real bee in your bonet about Harry and Meghan. Let it go! It’s been said and done.”
Brooklyn has faced such intense criticism from his Instagram followers who condemned him for his advert on the social media platform that he has subsequently altered his settings to restrict who can comment.
Brooklyn has purportedly rejected multiple opportunities to reconcile with his parents, brothers and sister. Just this Friday, his sister Harper, 14, visited his Beverly Hills residence to deliver a handwritten note.
Nevertheless, any hopes the young star harboured of offering an olive branch to her older brother were crushed as Harper didn’t enter the property.
Instead, Brooklyn was in New York, on the opposite side of the United States and posted an image of himself on a run.
Following the photographs of his sister surfacing, a source said that Brooklyn felt “uncomfortable” and claimed that it was an “orchestrated move by his family.”
Sources close to his parents had reacted strongly after Brooklyn’s team claimed the photographs had been “choreographed”.
“It is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother,” a source close to his parents said.
The Express has contacted Brooklyn’s representatives for comment.
A tragic incident unfolded when an Air Force B-52 Stratofortress crashed shortly after departing from Edwards Air Force Base in Kern County, northeast of Lancaster. This unfortunate event claimed the lives of all eight individuals on board, as confirmed by officials on Monday. The aircraft was on a “routine test mission” when the accident occurred.
The Air Force Base released a statement detailing the incident, noting that the B-52 Stratofortress took off at 11:20 a.m. (PDT) before crashing. Initial assessments indicated there were no survivors. Emergency teams responded promptly, and efforts are underway to account for all personnel involved. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Located in the Mojave Desert, Edwards Air Force Base is approximately 100 miles north of Los Angeles.
During a Monday afternoon press briefing, officials confirmed the loss of all eight personnel aboard. The crew comprised military members, government civilians, and contractors. Authorities are currently in the process of informing the families of those who perished, so names have not yet been disclosed.
Boeing issued a statement acknowledging that two of their employees were among those on the ill-fated flight.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the loved ones of the eight crew members who lost their lives in the B-52 crash at Edwards Air Force Base, California. It is with great sadness that we confirm two Boeing employees were among those on board. We are in contact with their families and are offering support,” Boeing wrote.
“We lost eight great Americans. This crash is deemed to be unsurvivable, and right now, our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those who lost their loved ones,” Colonel James Hayes said at the press conference.
Hayes said the B-52 bomber crashed shortly after takeoff for a mission supporting the “Radar Modernization Program,” which he described as a local test mission. Upon impact, the aircraft instantly burst into flames.
First responders quickly took action to extinguish the blaze. Officials reviewed the footage of the crash and deemed it unrecoverable and unsurvivable. Hayes noted that test missions take place every day, multiple times a day, at the Air Force Base.
AIR7 flew over the runway at the Air Force Base, where the still-smoldering charred debris of the B-52 bomber was visible. It appeared that what was left of the bomber was mostly ash.
Just a few hundred yards away from the crash site, an intact B-52 bomber was seen in AIR7 video.
Shocking cellphone video shows a massive amount of smoke and fire immediately after the crash.
“At this point, we don’t have any indication as to what the cause was of this. We won’t be able to release that information, and we don’t have an availability to get that anytime soon,” Hayes said.
Investigators are now digging through the debris field for the aircraft’s black box and other equipment on board that could provide vital clues as to what went wrong.
Officials said an interim safety board is doing an initial gathering of facts, which will then be handed to a safety investigation board, which will look into the root causes of the crash. He said that process will take about 30 days.
Then, those findings will be sent to an accident investigation board, which will determine what information can be released to the public and next of kin. That process can take upwards of six months, Hayes said.
Operations at Edwards Air Force Base are on hold as the investigation continues on the runway.
The Air Force and NASA regularly conduct test flights of new and developmental aircraft at Edwards Air Force Base.
The B-52 Stratofortress — which typically carries a crew of five — is a long-range bomber first introduced in the 1950s that remains a central part of the U.S. military’s air power. Built by Boeing at a cost of at least $84 million, the aircraft is capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear weapons over long distances and has been used in conflicts ranging from Vietnam to operations in the Iran war. It can fly 8,800 miles without refueling and can carry heavy payloads, making it a vital military aircraft.
“It’s a part of the backbone of the nuclear triad for the United States military. That involved submarine-launched missiles, we have the intercontinental ballistic missiles, and then we have the long-range ballistic missiles of which B-52s are part of,” said Luis Martinez, ABC News’ senior Pentagon reporter.

JD Vance believes that the United States possesses significant influence over Iran’s future and asserts that if Iran breaches any forthcoming agreement with Washington, Donald Trump is prepared to resume military strikes on Tehran.
On Sunday, the President revealed that the US and Iran had reached a pact designed to conclude the ongoing conflict, with a promise to “Let the oil flow!” as part of the agreement.
Despite this development, Vance expressed to Sean Hannity on Monday night that both the United States and its allies in the Middle East continue to harbor suspicions about Tehran’s intentions.
Vance issued a stern warning, stating that if Iran fails to uphold its commitments, Trump will not hesitate to reinstate military actions.
“I’ve known President Trump for quite some time. If that means going back to bombing, then he would likely do so without any hesitation,” Vance remarked.
Vance added that Trump could also reinstitute the US’ own blockade on the Strait of Hormuz.
The Vice President said this deal is going to be an attempt to ‘see how serious the Iranians are’ but that both Washington and their Middle Eastern allies are skeptical.
‘[Our allies] don’t believe anything either. They’re not certain. They’re not going to predict what the Iranians are going to do five years from now, but they see real opportunity.’
JD Vance said the United States holds all the cards to Iran’s future and that Donald Trump will go back to bombing Tehran should they betray their impending deal with Washington
Vance told Sean Hannity Monday night that both the US and its Middle Eastern allies remain deeply skeptical of Tehran
Vance said that the ultimate goal of these relations are not a regime change but to get Iran to behave better.
‘He wants Iran to be a normal country. They’ve got to act like it,’ he said.
Vance restated, however, that the United States remains in complete control of where things go from here.
‘We have the cards, and if they don’t honor the commitment, we’ll figure out what to do when we get there.’
Trump’s announcement came the same day he was celebrating his 80th birthday and just hours before he planned to host a massive UFC fight on the White House’s South Lawn.
‘The Deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran is now complete. Congratulations to all!’ Trump posted to Truth Social.
‘I hereby fully authorize the toll-free opening of the Strait of Hormuz, and, simultaneously herewith, authorize the immediate removal of the United States Naval blockade.’
‘Ships of the World, start your engines. Let the oil flow!,’ Trump exclaimed.
Vance said that the ultimate goal of these relations are not a regime change but to get Iran to behave better
The President announced Sunday that the US and Iran had reached an agreement that would end the Iran war and promised to ‘Let the oil flow!’
In a Truth Social second post, the President boasted about the role he played in bringing about potential peace, nearly four months after Israel and the US launched attacks on Iran, which led to the closure of the Strait and gas prices spiking worldwide.
‘This Great Deal will bring Peace and Security to the whole Region,’ Trump said. ‘Many presidents have tried to make Peace with Iran, and all have failed before me.’
Trump threw out the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the Obama-era Iran nuclear deal, during his first term.
‘The Leaders of the Region have, for the first time, found a President who can help them achieve real Peace,’ the President continued. ‘With the opening of the Strait upon the signing of the Deal on Friday, for purposes of mine removal, oil will flow on both ends again for the Region, and the World!’
The Wall Street Journal reported earlier on Sunday that the deal will either be signed electronically by Trump or by Vice President JD Vance.
Vance told Fox News Sunday evening that the White House was still working out the logistics, but he planned to be on hand to sign the deal, and it was ‘possible’ the President could attend too.
Trump told the New York Times in an interview on Sunday that the agreement with Iran would make the Strait ‘permanently toll free’ and that negotiations to reach a final nuclear accord would begin Friday in Switzerland.
If those details couldn’t be worked out, Trump threatened to resume attacking Iran or make the US ‘the guardian of the Middle East,’ in return for 20 percent of the region’s revenues, the Times said.
President Donald Trump (right) expressed frustration with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (left), saying that Israel’s retaliatory strikes against the Iranian-backed Hezbollah could shatter the peace deal
Vessels sit in the Strait of Hormuz. In a Truth Social post Sunday evening, President Donald Trump exclaimed: ‘Let the oil flow!’
However, on Monday, Iran said it will continue to charge fees for vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz after a ‘last-minute’ amendment to its ceasefire deal with the US.
Over the next 60 days, Tehran will guarantee free passage through the strait, but after the ceasefire extension period is over, ships will be required to pay tolls to cover security, navigation, environmental and insurance services.
The eleventh-hour change comes despite US President Donald Trump stating the vital waterway, set to reopen on Friday, would remain ‘permanently toll-free’.
Vance, however, said he expects the Strait of Hormuz to be toll-free in the long term. He told CNBC: ‘Our expectation is that the strait is going to be opened in a toll-free way for the long term, and that’s the sort of thing that we’re going to figure out in these technical negotiations.’
Iran inserted the clause on maritime service charges just before the framework deal was announced. ‘The use of the term ‘maritime services’ means that the United States has accepted that fees will be paid to Iran,’ Iran’s Fars news agency reported.
The deal, set to be signed in Switzerland on Friday, will see an immediate and permanent end to all military operations from both sides, the Strait of Hormuz reopened, and the US blockade on Iranian ports start to lift as soon as the memorandum is signed, according to Iran’s Mehr news agency.
Iran and the US confirmed that Iran agrees that it will neither produce nor acquire nuclear weapons – a promise Tehran has been making repeatedly for decades.
A senior Iranian official said, pending a final agreement, Iran would freeze its nuclear activity, refraining from further uranium enrichment or the expansion of nuclear facilities.
The senior Iranian official said the US had agreed that Iran could dilute its stockpile of highly enriched uranium inside Iran under a future comprehensive agreement.
Trump said on Saturday there was no urgency to extract Iran’s stockpile of nuclear material, and that the US would retrieve it ‘when all is calm’.
The President said there would be a strong inspections regime for Iran under any deal, but he did not give specifics.

Kim Kardashian shared a heartfelt tribute to her eldest daughter on Instagram, marking the special day. “Happy Birthday my Northiiiiiieeeeeeeee (Uzi voice!!!). I can’t believe you are officially a teenager!!!!! There’s no one like you, my baby girl!” she expressed. “I love being your mom and watching you grow. I love you to the alien galaxies you would speak of as a kid and beyond.”
North’s grandmother, Kris Jenner, joined in the celebrations by posting a congratulatory message, adding a family touch to the festivities.
North’s grandmother, Kris Jenner, also celebrated the milestone with a message of her own.
“Happy Birthday my amazing North! You are beautiful, brilliant, creative, funny, and smart, and you have such a love for life and everything it has to offer. I love watching you grow, and seeing you find your own path and passions has been such a joy, and I am so proud of the incredible young lady you are. Keep dreaming big and shining bright… I am so proud of you!! We all love you so much!! Lovey xo @northwest,” Jenner wrote.
In just a short period of time, North has made many of her dreams come true. In a 2023 interview with i-D Magazine, she said she hoped to one day become a rapper, basketball player, artist, and business owner.
Three years later, some of those goals are already taking shape.
In May, the 13-year-old released her debut EP, N0rth4evr, a five-track project that features her rapping in both English and Japanese while blending elements of emo, rage rap, and hyperpop.
Shortly after the EP’s release, North made her music festival debut with a surprise appearance during rapper Molly Santana’s set at Rolling Loud in Orlando. A month later, she stepped onto the stage at Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash 2026 in Chicago for her first solo festival set. During the performance, she ran through songs from N0rth4evr and performed “TALKING,” her collaboration with father Ye from the Vultures 1 album.
North has also been busy collaborating with other young artists. Earlier this month, she teamed up with Lil Wayne’s son, Lil Novi, for the song “Mula The Root of All Evil.” The pair had previously worked together when North produced Novi’s track “Justswagup.”
In addition to music, North has shown an interest in art and fashion. Over the years, Kardashian has shared examples of her daughter’s artwork on social media, giving fans a glimpse into her creative side.
North has also taken steps into the business world. In 2023, Kardashian filed trademarks for NOR11, a brand tied to her eldest daughter that covers a wide range of products, including clothing, accessories, beauty items, and toys.
While it remains to be seen which path North ultimately chooses, the teenager is already exploring many of the interests she once said she hoped to pursue.
In a concerning incident in North Lakeland, Polk County, Florida, a cat infected with rabies attacked five individuals and a puppy during the first week of June. This alarming event led the Polk County Sheriff’s Office to issue a citation to a woman for feeding the stray animal without ensuring it was vaccinated.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the cat was discovered deceased beneath a house. It was subsequently sent to a state laboratory in Tampa, where tests confirmed it was rabid. In response to this public health threat, animal control authorities and the Department of Health are collaborating to manage the situation and address the multiple rabies exposures. Local residents expressed significant concern over the incident.
Concerned about weak hips after turning 60? Discover these five chair exercises designed to boost your walking strength and balance.
As we age, hip strength plays a crucial role in maintaining stability, power, and comfort in the lower body. Strong hips are essential for lifting your knees while walking, standing up from a seated position, climbing stairs, changing directions, and maintaining balance as weight shifts from one leg to another. A decline in hip strength often reveals itself through smaller steps, reduced stability, increased stiffness, and the need for extra effort in daily movements.
Although gym machines can aid in muscle building, they don’t always replicate the natural movement of the hips. Machines tend to focus on isolating individual muscle groups, whereas real-life movements require a coordinated effort from the hip flexors, glutes, inner thighs, outer hips, and core. Chair exercises offer a supported method to engage these areas without being limited to the fixed path of a machine.
I recommend chair-based hip exercises because they increase the likelihood of performing them correctly. The chair provides support, yet the muscles still need to lift, press, squeeze, stabilize, and control each movement. This approach effectively rebuilds confidence and strength. In this exercise routine, seated marching enhances hip flexion, band abductions target the outer glutes, adduction squeezes fortify the inner thighs, banded sit-to-stands engage the hips in a comprehensive strength pattern, and standing hip extensions directly work the posterior muscles.
I like chair-based hip work because it gives people a better shot at doing the exercise well. The chair adds support, but the muscles still have to lift, press, squeeze, stabilize, and control the rep. That’s the sweet spot for rebuilding confidence and strength. In this routine, seated marching trains hip flexion, band abductions hit the outer glutes, adduction squeezes strengthen the inner thighs, banded sit-to-stands bring the hips into a bigger strength pattern, and standing hip extensions target the backside directly.
Seated Marching
Seated marching trains your hip flexors, quads, and core while giving your hips a supported way to practice lifting one leg at a time. Strong hip flexors help with walking, climbing stairs, stepping over objects, and keeping your stride from feeling short or heavy. Gym machines can train the legs, but marching teaches your hips to move in a pattern you use constantly throughout the day. Sit tall, slow the pace, and make each knee lift feel controlled rather than bouncy.6254a4d1642c605c54bf1cab17d50f1e
Muscles Trained: Hip flexors, quadriceps, core
How to Do It:
Sit tall near the front edge of a sturdy chair.
Plant your feet flat on the floor.
Brace your core and keep your chest lifted.
Lift one knee toward your chest.
Lower your foot back to the floor with control.
Alternate legs in a steady rhythm.
Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 3 sets of 10 to 12 reps per leg. Rest for 30 seconds between each set.
Best Variations: Paused seated marches, banded seated marches, slower tempo marches
Form Tip: Stay tall and avoid leaning back as your knee lifts.
Seated Band Abduction
Seated band abductions train the outer glutes and hip stabilizers, the muscles that help keep your knees and hips lined up when you walk, stand, or step sideways. Pressing your knees outward against the band gives those muscles direct work without needing a complicated setup. Stronger outer hips can make your lower body feel steadier by providing more support to your pelvis and knees. Move slowly and keep tension in the band rather than letting your knees snap back together.
Muscles Trained: Outer glutes, hip stabilizers, core
How to Do It:
Sit tall near the front edge of a sturdy chair.
Place a mini band around your thighs just above your knees.
Plant your feet flat on the floor about hip-width apart.
Brace your core and keep your chest lifted.
Press your knees outward against the band.
Return your knees inward with control.
Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 3 sets of 12 to 15 reps. Rest for 30 seconds between each set.
Best Variations: Paused abductions, pulsing abductions, single-leg abductions
Form Tip: Keep your feet planted and move from your hips.
Seated Adduction Squeeze
Seated adduction squeezes train your inner thighs, which help your hips control leg position during walking, stepping, and changing direction. The inner thighs don’t always get much attention, but they play a real role in keeping your lower body organized. Squeezing a pillow, ball, or yoga block between your knees provides your hips with simple resistance in a supported position. Improved adductor strength can help your legs feel more connected and controlled, rather than loose or wobbly.
Muscles Trained: Inner thighs, hip adductors, core
How to Do It:
Sit tall with your feet flat on the floor.
Place a pillow, small ball, or yoga block between your knees.
Brace your core and keep your posture upright.
Squeeze your knees together against the object.
Hold the squeeze for the target time.
Release with control before the next rep.
Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 3 sets of 15 to 25 second holds. Rest for 30 seconds between each set.
Best Variations: Longer holds, pulsing squeezes, firmer object holds
Form Tip: Keep your feet flat and squeeze from your inner thighs, not your lower back.
Banded Sit-to-Stand
Banded sit-to-stands train your glutes, quads, hamstrings, and outer hips while practicing a movement you use every single day. The band encourages your knees to stay aligned as you stand, which brings the glutes and hip stabilizers into the rep. Compared with a gym machine, sit-to-stands build strength in a pattern that carries straight into getting off the couch, rising from the car, or standing up from the dinner table. Press through your feet, keep the band under tension, and finish tall without rocking for momentum.
Muscles Trained: Glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, hip stabilizers, core
How to Do It:
Sit near the front edge of a sturdy chair.
Place a mini band around your thighs just above your knees.
Plant your feet flat on the floor about hip-width apart.
Brace your core and press your knees slightly outward.
Push through your feet to stand tall.
Lower back to the chair with control.
Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 3 sets of 8 to 12 reps. Rest for 45 seconds between each set.
Best Variations: No-hands sit-to-stands, slower tempo sit-to-stands, paused sit-to-stands
Form Tip: Keep light tension on the band and avoid letting your knees cave inward.
Standing Hip Extensions
Standing hip extensions target your glutes and hamstrings, while the chair provides balance support. Extending one leg behind your body strengthens hip extension, which helps power walking, stairs, standing tall, and getting up from seated positions. The key is keeping the movement small and clean, so your glute does the work instead of your lower back. Hold the chair lightly, brace your core, and squeeze the backside of the working leg at the top.
Muscles Trained: Glutes, hamstrings, core
How to Do It:
Stand behind a sturdy chair and place your hands lightly on the backrest.
Shift your weight into one foot.
Brace your core and stand tall.
Extend your opposite leg straight behind you.
Squeeze your glute at the top.
Lower your foot with control and switch sides after your reps.
Recommended Sets and Reps: Perform 3 sets of 10 to 12 reps per side. Rest for 30 to 45 seconds between each set.
Best Variations: Banded hip extensions, paused hip extensions, slower tempo hip extensions
Form Tip: Lift from your glute and avoid arching through your lower back.
How to Rebuild Hip Strength From a Chair
Shutterstock
Chair exercises work best when the support helps you move better without taking effort away from your hips. Keep your posture tall, slow each rep, and let the target muscles do the work. A short routine can be plenty effective when you train the front, back, inside, and outside of the hips with purpose.
Train every side of your hips: marches build the front of the hips, abductions hit the outer glutes, adductions strengthen the inner thighs, and hip extensions target the backside. Covering all directions gives your hips a stronger foundation.
Use the band with control: Bands help when you keep steady tension. Letting the band snap your legs back together takes away from the strength-building work.
Make sit-to-stands a priority: Standing up from a chair is one of the most important strength patterns after 60. Add the band to make your hips and glutes work harder during a movement you use daily.
Keep your lower back out of it: During hip extensions and adduction squeezes, brace gently and keep your ribs stacked over your hips. The work should stay in your hips and thighs.
Progress without rushing: Add reps, hold longer, use a stronger band, or slow the tempo once the moves feel easier. Small changes keep the routine useful without making it harder to stick with.
Stronger hips can make walking, standing, stairs, and balance feel more reliable. Use the chair as your support system, keep the effort honest, and let these small exercises build into steadier movement.

In a dramatic turn of events following the New York Knicks’ historic NBA championship win, celebrations turned into chaos on the streets of New York. The victory, marking the team’s first title in over fifty years, was overshadowed by a wave of violence and disorder that led to 63 arrests, multiple stabbings, and a shooting involving a teenager.
The jubilant atmosphere on June 13, after the Knicks clinched a 94-90 victory against the San Antonio Spurs, quickly escalated as tens of thousands of fans flooded the streets surrounding Madison Square Garden. According to a spokesperson from the NYPD’s Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information, what began as a festive gathering soon devolved into a scene of unruliness and danger.
As the night wore on, the exuberance of the crowd gave way to reckless behavior. Police reports indicated that several individuals engaged in violent acts, resulting in numerous injuries and criminal charges.
Videos posted to social media depicted people dousing motorists with water, harassing fans of the opposing team, and fighting each other, as authorities worked to manage the scene. Mayor Zohran Mamdani noted in a June 15 press conference that while the majority of New Yorkers celebrated “responsibly,” the violence was “unacceptable.”
Among the incidents, a 17-year-old was shot near 43rd Street and Broadway. The teenager, who was reportedly riding a Citi Bike at the time, suffered a foot injury, as detailed by the New York Times. With the streets heavily congested, emergency services faced challenges in reaching the victim, prompting NYPD officers to transport him to the hospital themselves. Authorities later discovered a firearm at the scene and detained three individuals for questioning.
The night also saw several large-scale brawls, along with four reported stabbings or slashings, further contributing to the chaos that marred what should have been a night of celebration for Knicks fans.
Ten officers were injured in the fray, including one who was punched in the face and another who was hit with a glass bottle, according to the statement.
Property damage was also extensive. Five school buses designated to transport people from Manhattan to MetLife Stadium for World Cup games were set on fire, smashed with baseball bats and vandalized by people who jumped on top of them.
Meanwhile, individuals armed with baseball bats shattered the front and rear windshields of NYPD patrol cars and personal vehicles were destroyed.
People also set off fireworks in large crowds and climbed on top of light poles, traffic lights, scaffolding and other structures.
Over the course of the night, various individuals were charged with assault on a police officer, criminal possession of weapon, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, and obstruction of governmental administration, according to the NYPD.
A renowned daredevil known for his breathtaking stunts, including a memorable performance alongside Madonna during the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show, tragically lost his life in a BASE jumping accident near Moab, Utah. This unfortunate incident, which occurred over the weekend, claimed the lives of two men, as confirmed by the Grand County Sheriff’s Office.
Andy Lewis, celebrated for his daring feats and for setting a highline record 480 feet above Las Vegas back in October 2013, was involved in a tandem jump with another diver in Mineral Bottom, Utah, on Sunday. The adventure that he was so passionate about ultimately led to this heartbreaking outcome.
Residents of Moab remember Lewis as a vibrant individual who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. “He was a very big personality,” one local told News Media on Monday, reflecting the sentiments of many in the community who were familiar with his fearless spirit.
Lewis’ final Instagram video, posted Sunday not long before his death, showed him doing a flip off a cliff in the desert outside Moab.

Amanda Seyfried has revealed that she had to hire a bodyguard after making contentious comments regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
In a recent interview with British GQ, published on Monday, the “Housemaid” star recounted how her labeling of the conservative political figure as “hateful” after his shooting at a university last autumn triggered a significant backlash. This reaction ultimately led her to become concerned for her personal safety.
Reflecting on the incident, Seyfried shared with the publication, “Firstly, I have every right to express my feelings, and secondly, I aim to do so in a way that isn’t necessarily unkind.”
She elaborated, “There’s an overwhelming atmosphere of fear, hatred, and a tendency to criticize and undermine. I only faced a small portion of that.”
At 40, Seyfried expressed her hopes for her children, stating, “I want them to feel safe in expressing their opinions, provided they aren’t harmful.”
“So I’m like, ‘What do I do? What do I say?’ And then all of a sudden I find myself with a f–king bodyguard at the airport and I’m like, ‘This is crazy.’” she concluded.
Kirk died after he was shot while on stage at Utah Valley University during a stop on his American Comeback Tour. He was 31.
He and his wife, Erika Kirk, shared two children — a daughter who will be turning 4 in August and a 2-year-old son.
Like the Kirks, Seyfried shares two children with husband Thomas Sadoski — daughter Nina, 9, and son Thomas, 5.
After her initial comment about Kirk following his death, Seyfried defended her statement by writing on Instagram, “We’re forgetting the nuance of humanity.”
“I can get angry about misogyny and racist rhetoric and ALSO very much agree that Charlie Kirk’s murder was absolutely disturbing and deplorable in every way imaginable,” she continued. “No one should have to experience this level of violence.”
She concluded: “This country is grieving too many senseless and violent deaths and shootings. Can we agree on that at least?”
The Academy Award-nominated actress also refused to apologize for the social media comments in a December 2025 interview with Who What Wear.
“I mean, for f–ks sake, I commented on one thing. I said something that was based on actual reality and actual footage and actual quotes,” the “Mean Girls” actress told the outlet.
“What I said was pretty damn factual, and I’m free to have an opinion, of course,” she added.
The eagerly anticipated third season of “House of the Dragon,” the prominent prequel and spin-off to “Game of Thrones,” has returned, and critics are singing its praises after viewing the first four episodes.
These initial episodes, made available to critics before the show’s June 21 premiere, plunge viewers back into the turmoil as Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, portrayed by Emma D’Arcy, battles to secure her claim to the Iron Throne of Westeros. She seeks to unite the Black factions against her once-close ally and now adversary, Queen Alicent Hightower, played by Olivia Cooke, who commands the formidable Green army. Following the groundwork laid in Season 2, which hinted at significant confrontations, Season 3 dives headfirst into the intense conflicts of the Targaryen civil war, famously known as the Dance of the Dragons, much to the delight of critics.
In a review for Mama’s Geeky, Tessa Smith observed that “This season wastes absolutely no time getting into the dark and gritty. The Battle of the Gullet is a massive, devastating spectacle, and it just gets wilder from there.” Similarly, Melody McCune at MovieWeb urged viewers to “Strap in, folks. It’s all sword-clashing, fire-breathing action from here on out, with a smattering of political machinations for good measure.” Matthew Jackson from Looper echoed these sentiments, stating, “The series is better than ever, and the new season will have you hanging on every single moment.”
Nick Schager, contributing to The Daily Beast, also praised the season, describing it as “an assured and often-thrilling mixture of colossal battles and court intrigue.” Megan Lachinski from Next Best Picture concurred, noting that the season addresses previous criticisms effectively, leading to “a thrilling new season and the series’ best so far.”
Alison Herman, representing Variety, highlighted the interpersonal dynamics, particularly how the third season develops after the clandestine meeting between Rhaenyra and Alicent in the Season 2 finale, amid plans involving the fate of Alicent’s son, Aegon II Targaryen, played by Tom Glynn-Carney. Herman noted, “Whether they provide surprise and distraction or anchoring ballast, it’s the people who make ‘House of the Dragon’ worth enduring the predetermined devastation.” Kaiya Shunyata from RogerEbert.com shared this view, stating that as the stakes escalate, the characters have become more nuanced and fully developed. Meanwhile, Samantha Nelson at Polygon affirmed that the season is “well worth watching to enjoy the same mix of cutthroat intrigue, spectacular action, and gutting drama that made the world fall in love with Westeros.”

According to critics, House of the Dragon Season 3 is a triumph — and a pivot from the previous season

Over at Variety, Alison Herman praised the interpersonal conflict on the third season of “House of the Dragon,” which picks up after Rhaenyra and Alicent met in secret during the Season 2 finale to try and come to an agreement … albeit one that’s supposed to result in the death of Alicent’s eldest son and heir Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney). “Whether they provide surprise and distraction or anchoring ballast, it’s the people who make “House of the Dragon” worth enduring the predetermined devastation,” Herman wrote in her review. Kaiya Shunyata seemed to agree with this assessment at RogerEbert.com. “As the stakes grow, the show has managed to salvage its beating heart, allowing its characters to become fully realized, complicated versions of the husks who took up the screen in [Season 2],” she mused. At Polygon, Samantha Nelson declared, “It’s well worth watching to enjoy the same mix of cutthroat intrigue, spectacular action, and gutting drama that made the world fall in love with Westeros.”
Still, some critics had reservations, like Daniel Fienberg at The Hollywood Reporter. “Anyway, this all boils down to me really liking the third episode, liking portions of the fourth and fearing that no matter how much I like the change of direction that occurs in much of those two episodes, House of the Dragon has too much on its plate,” he wrote. Nick Hilton at The Independent UK expressed a similar sentiment, saying, “In truth, ‘House of the Dragon’ is perfectly watchable fare.”
Season 3 of “House of the Dragon” premieres on HBO and HBO Max on Sunday, June 21 at 9 p.m. EST — and here’s the only recap you need before you return to Westeros.
