Cyclone Forecast to Bring Significant Rainfall to Perth Following WA Coastline Crossing

0
While the system’s final destination is still uncertain, the storm brings the promise of a massive “rain dump” on Perth after making landfall.

This evening, a category 3 storm, situated less than 300 kilometers from the Pilbara coast near Port Hedland, unleashed winds reaching speeds of up to 165 km/h.

There is a possibility that Cyclone Narelle could strike Exmouth as a category 5 storm.

Exmouth suffered devastating damage 27 years ago when Cyclone Vance battered the town with winds up to 267 km/h.

This weekend might see history repeating itself.

“As it tracks west-southwest, remaining offshore from the Pilbara coast, we anticipate [Narelle] could intensify to a category 4 or 5 storm,” James Ashley from the Bureau of Meteorology informed 9News.

A category 5 is the most dangerous system, packing winds of more than 200km/h.

Narelle’s path is unpredictable. It could hit Exmouth as a category 5 but another forecast model suggests it might track further south and pass over Denham as a category 3.

Either way, Perth is set for a soaking.

“We’re expecting rainfall, even in Perth, of 50 millimetres to 100 millimetres over the course of Friday and Saturday,” Ashley said.

“So, regardless of the coastal crossing there will be significant rainfall.”

Businesses across Perth aren’t taking any chances, with a number of events already cancelled, postponed or relocated.

Ice Cream Factory in Northbridge is moving its outdoor event to RAC Arena.

“I think everyone rocking up to a concert and it being cancelled is just not an option for us,” organiser Chris Bausor told 9News.

“We value the trust that customers place in us by buying a ticket ahead of time, so moving it to RAC was the only option.”

Daryl Braithwaite at Ascot racecourse has been rescheduled but Scarborough Beach Weekender is forging on, with workers starting their set up today.

Rottnest ferries are still going ahead at this stage but the Island Authority is offering free cancellations on campground bookings and boat moorings.

Preparations get under way

It’s rare for such a strong system to track so far south.

Almost 50 years ago Cyclone Alby brought 150km/h winds to Busselton, killing five people and destroying the iconic jetty.

A decade later Cyclone Ned hit near Rockingham, taking down power lines and damaged property.

WA Premier Roger Cook has asked locals to “heed the advice of emergency services”.

“We know you’ve got experience in dealing with cyclone events but they are unpredictable,” he said.

Sandbagging in Kalbarri
While Tropical Cyclone Narelle’s final destination is still uncertain, the storm brings the promise of a massive “rain dump” on Perth after making landfall. (9News)

And it looks like some people are taking that advice, with towns in the north of WA beginning to prepare as Narelle gains strength off the coast.

Kalbarri knows how devastating a cyclone can be after being smashed by Seroja almost five years ago.

Taking no chances this time around, locals were stocking up on sandbags today.

Caravan parks in Kalbarri, as well as those further north in Denham and Exmouth, are evacuating travellers and turning away any new bookings.

Kalbarri locals spent the day tidying up and even with preparations in full swing, they’re hoping for the best.

“I think everyone is just waiting to see what happens, it’s an unknown if it’s gonna cross here or Carnarvon or Jurien Bay,” Graeme Cull from Kalbarri Tudor Holiday Park told 9News.

Mark and Janice Murrie lived through the category 3 cyclone in 2021 and they say locals are scarred.

“There will be a lot of stressed people here,” Mr Murrie told 9News.

Cyclone Seroja

“‘Cause the mental health after the last one – people were just shell shocked.

“We were lucky cause we didn’t get a lot of damage – a lot of mess but not a lot of damage.”

Narelle getting stronger and more unpredictable

Right now for the people in towns dotted along the Mid West Coast it’s a waiting game as Narelle grows stronger and more unpredictable.

It will really ramp up later tomorrow, with very destructive wind gusts up to 260 km/h possible for west of Onslow, as the system moves closer to the North West Cape.

Tropical Cyclone Narelle rainfall totals map
Tropical Cyclone Narelle is large and moving fast – the system just upgraded to a severe category three with gale force winds of up to 100 km/h in parts of the Pilbara tonight. (Weatherzone)

Those wind gusts could extend south to Carnarvon during Friday, which the latest mapping showing the area could take a direct category 4 hit.

Denham could see gusts of close to 200 km/h later on Friday.

The system has already dumped huge rainfall totals, with 177 millimetres recorded in Cygnet Bay, north of Broome.

Narelle’s impacts will be felt in Perth on Friday and Saturday.

KEY VERSE: Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he maybe delivered from the power of evil! – Habakkuk 2:9

TEXT: Habakkuk 2:5-12 (KJV)

5 Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:

6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!

7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for booties unto them?

8 Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.

9 Woe to him that coveteth an evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil!

10 Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people, and hast sinned against thy soul.

11 For the stone shall cry out of the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it.

12 Woe to him that buildeth a town with blood, and stablisheth a city by iniquity!

DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:

There is a thin line separating the desirable from destructive ambitions. It is not just that ambition can lead someone to become sluggish or downright stupid, but it can result in a person becoming soulless, blinded to his best interest, disregarding the criticisms of other people. No wonder the Greek legend, Endymion, warned that “there is a space of life… in which the soul is in a ferment, the character undecided, the way of life uncertain, the ambition thick-sighted.” This is the worst possible state for anyone to find himself.

That was Babylon’s condition. That great empire was drunk on its success. It saw its power as impregnable, its wealth as insurmountable, its very existence as unquestionable. It enlarged its desire to conquer other lands, and would not be satisfied until it reigned over all nations and all people. Self-confident and self-consumed, it would not see the enemy that was close by, nor take to heart the taunting parables of adversaries. With time, it would suffer the same fate it inflicted on other nations. It would discover too late that its insatiable and covetous acquisitions that gave it a false sense of security and success would end in shame. It would eventually realise that nothing built with innocent blood or established by iniquity could last.

We must shun every tendency to be proud, for that leads to vaulting ambition, and it is sinful before God. This brings suffering, pain and eventually, swift destruction. We must not acquire worldly goods at the expense of other people. Cheating or fraudulently making money would only result in the victims crying out to God for vengeance. And be certain that God will answer their cries. We should neither desire nor measure success with the standards of the world. Instead, we should focus on what pleases God and blesses men.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Those who are desperate for wordly gold, lose their desire for the heavenly God.

Exclusive Preview of Newly Reconstructed Animal Shelter

ORLANDO, Fla. – Anticipation is building as Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando prepares to unveil its new animal shelter in Orlando.

The opening marks a significant milestone, nearly five years after a devastating fire destroyed their previous facility.

The blaze, sparked by an electrical malfunction, tragically claimed the lives of 17 cats.

Before this unfortunate incident, officials stated to News 6 that the shelter accommodated approximately 7,000 animals annually.

In the years following the fire, they have managed to care for only 4,000 to 5,000 animals each year, highlighting the impact of the loss on their operations.

Operations during that time have been split between the group’s Sanford shelter and a temporary shelter in Downtown Orlando.

Sunday, the new shelter will have a grand opening “pawty” at noon, with live DJ entertainment, food trucks, activities and more!

The shelter says, of course, adoptable dogs and cats will be waiting to go to their “furrever” homes.

Rhapsody Of Realities 8 March 2026: A Life Of Blessings, Glory, And Excellence

Rhapsody Of Realities 8 March 2026 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy): A Life Of Blessings, Glory, And Excellence

TOPIC: A Life Of Blessings, Glory, And Excellence (Rhapsody of Realities 8 March 2026)

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9 AMPC).

Rhapsody Of Realities For Today’s MESSAGE:

As a Christian, you’re not subject to disease, infirmities or demons, because you have the transcendent life in Christ. You’re not in bondage to the elements of this world; you live above them. I love the way the Apostle Peter puts it; he said, “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:4).

You live far above and beyond the corruption, decadence and darkness of this world because you’re an associate of the God-kind, a partaker of the divine nature. You’re superior to Satan and the corrupting influences of this present world of darkness. Your life is full of blessings, glory and virtue. Virtue is excellence; you have an excellent life in Christ Jesus.

Think about the Apostle Peter who wrote the beautiful verses of scripture that we read earlier; he once trembled with fear and denied the Lord Jesus before a little girl. His faith was unstable. But after he received the Holy Spirit, something changed. He expressed and manifested the God-life in Him with such glory and boldness that through his preaching, three thousand souls gave their hearts to Christ in one day, as revealed in Acts 2:41.

What transformed him? He had come to the revelation of the glorious life we have in Christ. What a life! There’s no failure, defeat, or darkness in you; only blessings, excellence, perfection, and glory. 1 Peter 3:9 says you were called to inherit a blessing, not shame or weakness. This is the life you’ve received in Christ; it’s one of dominion over sickness, disease, demons, poverty, failure and death. Glory to God!

PRAYER

I thank you Father for the glorious life you’ve given me in Christ Jesus, a life of blessings, excellence, health, victory and strength. I walk in your marvellous light, displaying your virtues and perfections to my world. I live above sickness, defeat and demonic influence because I live in Christ. Hallelujah!

Colossians 1:12-13 (KJV) Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: [13] Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Ephesians 1:3 (KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Man United Transfer Bombshell: Top 3 Midfield Targets Unveiled, Sesko’s Slovenia Surprise, Carrick’s Bournemouth Fury Explained & Manager’s Game-Changing Strategy

0

Manchester United has narrowed down its shortlist of midfield candidates to succeed Casemiro this summer, focusing on a trio of promising players.

Sources reveal that the top contenders include Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali, Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, and Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton. These choices come as United prepares for Casemiro’s impending departure from Old Trafford at the season’s end.

The club has been actively seeking central midfield reinforcements ever since it became evident that Casemiro would be moving on. Their search may intensify, contingent on Manuel Ugarte’s potential exit. However, Manchester United will likely face stiff competition from Premier League rivals, particularly Manchester City, who are reportedly leading the charge for Anderson.

While United has expressed interest in Tonali, it seems unlikely they will pursue his Newcastle teammate, Bruno Guimaraes. Insiders have dismissed rumors suggesting advanced negotiations, with Newcastle intent on holding on to the Brazilian midfielder.

Should United secure a spot in the Champions League, their budget for summer signings could significantly increase, bolstered by the potential financial flexibility gained from offloading high earners such as Casemiro, Marcus Rashford, and Jadon Sancho.

Casemiro will leave as a free agent, United hope that Barcelona will take up the £26million option on Rashford’s loan at the Nou Camp, and Sancho is in talks over a permanent return to Borussia Dortmund when his contract runs out in June.

As well as up to two central midfielders, United will also prioritise a left-sided player. A United scout is believed to have watched Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown in their game against Heidenheim last week when Frankfurt midfielder Hugo Larsson was also assessed with a number of Premier League clubs looking at him in recent weeks.

Sesko’s Slovenia surprise

Benjamin Sesko may have withdrawn from Slovenia’s squad due to injury, but this time there has been no tension between club and country.

In fact, Confidential has learned that United’s £73.7million summer signing turned up to the national team training camp in Ljubljana on Monday and went through some light exercises with his team-mates as part of a fitness test.

Sesko had already pulled out of Slovenia’s games against Hungary and Montenegro ‘in order to ensure that he fully recovers from an issue that United have been carefully managing throughout recent weeks’. But having headed home in the international break, it was an opportunity for him to be assessed by Slovenia’s medical staff and speak to new manager Bostjan Cesar in person.

Cesar replaced Matjaz Kek following Slovenia’s failure to qualify for the World Cup in the wake of a defeat to Kosovo in November. Sesko missed the game with a knee injury sustained in a draw at Tottenham, and Kek was unhappy with the lack of communication from United over the 22-year-old player’s condition.

‘With all due respect to a great club like Man United, we have officially not received anything yet; no papers, no documents,’ said Kek at the time. ‘We want our medical team to take a look at it. Our doctor is an expert in this field, we don’t have just anyone in this position.

‘I have certain information, and I am also in contact with Beni. I can’t say anything because officially we don’t know anything at all, United hasn’t contacted anyone from our camp.’

Sesko isn’t the only United player to withdraw from international duty. Bryan Mbeumo dropped out of Cameroon’s friendlies against Australia and China in Sydney and Melbourne, with the long journey a factor in United’s decision to rest him as a precaution.

Both Sesko and Mbeumo are expected to be fit for United’s next game against Leeds. Harry Maguire will serve a one-match suspension, but Lisandro Martinez will be available again.

Elvis backs Benji

There are those in Manchester who are nostalgic when the term ‘super sub’ gets thrown around, whether it’s for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, or even referring to Michael Owen coming on to score the winner in the 4-3 victory over City – one of United’s greatest ever derby wins.

Owen told Daily Mail Sport on Monday that he sees Sesko as more of a squad player who can come off the bench than a striker who can spearhead a title bid.

Unsurprisingly, back in Sesko’s homeland, his agent Elvis Basanovic has come out bullishly in his defence. ‘If you ask me about this [super sub] name, I don’t like it. I like super striker much more,’ he told Arena Sport. ‘Benjamin is a super striker. He has started 13 games this year, coming off the bench in 13 games.

‘He scored half of his goals when he started the game and half when he came off the bench. We can see that he is a complete striker and Benjamin is someone who deserves the name “super striker”.’

Plenty of pundits in the UK have been strong in critique of Sesko before backing down. Now it’s a waiting game to see if Owen reaches the same conclusion.

Carrick’s spot check

As United wait for a response from the PGMOL over their complaint about the officiating of Friday’s 2-2 draw at the Vitality Stadium, it’s interesting to learn that Michael Carrick’s anger wasn’t actually directed at the decision to award Bournemouth a late penalty and send off Harry Maguire for his challenge on Evanilson.

The post-match inquest has centred around comparisons between Maguire bringing down the Brazilian and Adrien Truffert flooring Amad Diallo, with Sky Sports referee expert Dermot Gallagher one of many to weigh into the debate.

However, Carrick was more concerned that referee Stuart Attwell and VAR official Craig Pawson saw fit to award United a spot-kick for Alexis Jimenez’s foul on Matheus Cunha and then deny his team a second penalty for the same offence by Truffert on Diallo.

‘It’s pretty much identical for me,’ said Carrick afterwards. ‘A two-hand grab and so either way he (Attwell) has got one wrong. To give one and not give the other, I just can’t get my head around it. It’s crazy. Because of that, they go down the other end, they score and then it’s chaos after that.

‘Surely whatever they think, if one’s been given there’s enough people to decide that it’s the same as the first. That’s what VAR was for. It’s two different decisions, so a bit baffling really.’

The fact that Bournemouth went straight upfield and equalised at 1-1 through Ryan Christie after the Diallo incident only added to Carrick’s sense of injustice. While he accepted that, on balance, the Maguire challenge was worthy of a penalty, in his opinion United should have been 2-0 up at that stage.

Big break for Reds

United’s stars will be given extra-time off at the end of the international break as the club takes advantage of another blank weekend.

Normally the international players would start to drift back into Carrington to resume training at the end of next week. But with United not involved in the FA Cup quarter-finals, they won’t be required to report back until early the following week. That’s good news for the foreign players in particular who can spend some extra time in their homelands seeing family and friends.

The combination of the international break, FA Cup and Premier League fixture has created a unique scenario for United. With the last game at Bournemouth falling on Friday March 20 and the next one at home to Leeds on Monday April 13, the club will have had four blank weekends in total.

The small number of non-internationals will continue to train at Carrington until Thursday – with academy players called in to make up the numbers – and then have the weekend off.

More match-day change

United’s head coach Carrick has already pushed back the team’s arrival time for home games at Old Trafford and brought it forward for away matches, so they are synced at one hour 45 minutes. Carrick also gives the players a day off after games, unlike his predecessor Ruben Amorim who preferred to use it for a recovery session at Carrington.

Now Confidential has learned that for the last two away games at Newcastle and Bournemouth, Carrick has taken the squad on a midday stroll around the hotel grounds to break up the day and give the players some fresh air ahead of the evening kick-off so they aren’t cooped up inside all day.

It’s unclear if this affected Bruno Fernandes’ annual walk on the beach at Bournemouth with Tom Heaton whenever United play at the Vitality Stadium, something the captain divulged when he gave an interview to UK media in October.

Bournemouth might be the furthest Premier League trip for United, but Carrick and the players were back in Manchester in no time after Friday’s 2-2 draw as the team’s flight landed around 12.45am. The squad were home roughly an hour later and then had the weekend off.

Easter heads to Carrington

Extra time around matches has given United the chance to put on more team and family bonding events. Last Wednesday, players brought their families into Carrington for an Easter fun day organised by the club.

Many players have young children, and while previously there have been team-bonding BBQs or Christmas events, this was another chance for family members to experience the newly-renovated Carrington facility.

Last week, the day before players flew down to Bournemouth, United put on entertainment and an Easter egg hunt around Carrington.

It has been well documented that Carrick and his staff have chosen not to over-train players in the absence of games and it’s understood the light relief of a family day on Wednesday was warmly received by the squad.

Ramadan fundraiser a big success

This column has previously detailed the tenacious fundraising efforts of Manchester Muslims Supporters Club (MUMSC), and it is worth reflecting on their efforts during Ramadan. The group raised an impressive £324,437 for Palestinian refugees in Jordan across the past two months.

Part of the fundraising saw MUMSC members distribute cash to refugee families in Jordan, as well as secure 12 months’ worth of sponsorship for around 120 orphans, as well as a further 12 sponsorships for families.

‘This is why we have built the platform that we have,’ MUMSC chairman Asif Javed Mahmud said. ‘Not for numbers or followers but so that we can contribute and do good, both locally here in the UK where we have supported the Manchester United Foundation on local initiatives, and also abroad where we can support those who really need it.’

Alan’s disco beat

Alan Keegan is part of the furniture at United, the Voice of Old Trafford since 2000 whose familiar tones ring around the ground on match days.

The popular stadium announcer is taking his talents elsewhere next month, having signed up to the Dementia Disco at Stockport Guildhall. Along with BBC Radio Manchester’s Joe McGrath, Keegan will host the auction and raffle as part of the fundraising drive.

The event on April 25, which includes live performances from artists such as Clint Boon and The Marlins, is raising money for vital dementia research. United fans looking to support, there is more information online. Just search Dementia Disco.

Unveiling Brooks Nader’s Cosmetic Journey: Insights into Liposuction and GLP-1 Treatments

Brooks Nader openly discusses her experiences with cosmetic enhancements.

Reflecting on her early days in New York at 18, she told Us Weekly in an exclusive February 2026 interview, “I thought, ‘I’ll get fillers, try various treatments, maybe even have liposuction.’” Her parents had provided her with $1,000, encouraging her to experience life. Immersed in Hollywood’s intense pursuit of flawlessness, she believed fillers were the key to achieving the ideal look.

Nader has candidly talked about her use of facial fillers and weight loss aids like GLP-1 medications, such as Ozempic and Wegovy. She also expressed regret over undergoing liposuction during her younger years.

Curious about her cosmetic journey and her thoughts on these procedures? Read on:

Brooks Nader’s Nose Job

Brooks Nader revealed she underwent rhinoplasty, commonly known as a nose job. In a November 2025 conversation with Bustle, she mentioned that some have compared her post-surgery appearance to that of Michael Jackson.

Brooks Nader Has Veneers

In a November 2025 interview with Bustle, the model revealed she got veneers done by Dr. Michael Apa.

Brooks Nader Has Gotten ‘Countess’ Injectables

Brooks Nader told Bustle in November 2025 that she has received “countless” fillers over the years. She has gotten Botox, salmon sperm facials and the Nefertiti Lift, which is an injection technique done around the jawline.

“Every Christmas, you can catch me looking like Freddy Krueger,” she quipped.

Months later, Nader exclusively told Us that she has gotten multiple of her fillers dissolved.

“I honestly felt really good about it, because I feel like I get a lot of the comments that are like, ‘You look 40, you look 40, you look 40,’” Nader said. “I’m like, ‘What? I don’t want to be 40.’”

Brooks Nader Got — and Now Regrets — Liposuction

In a March 2026 interview with People, Brooks Nader confessed to getting liposuction “years ago” but now regrets the decision.

“I forever regret it because I just didn’t need it,” she admitted. “I feel like it created dimples and ripples and things.”

Brooks Nader Has Taken GLP-1 Weight Loss Medications

Brooks Nader has been open about using Ozempic and other GLP-1 medications. (The prescriptions were created to manage diabetes by regulating blood sugar levels and appetite, which often leads to weight loss.)

In her November 2025 interview with Bustle, Nader shared that she used the medication after being told she needed to lose weight to book more modeling gigs.

“I didn’t shed one tear over it. I don’t feel bad for myself. I just say, ‘The facts are they want me to lose weight. How can I achieve that?’” she reflected. “The facts are that when I started GLP-1, my career took off. I’m not saying it’s OK. I’m not saying it’s right. I think everybody is different — but I lost 30 pounds, and I booked all the jobs.”

Breaking: Iran Strikes Bases, Criticizes US for Internal Negotiations

US Navy seek to expediate return of two minesweepers amid Hormuz fears

The U.S. Navy is looking to accelerate the return of two ships, currently in Singapore for maintenance, to the Persian Gulf. These ships have been specially refitted for minesweeping duties, a crucial capability given the rising tensions in the region.

Concerns are escalating over potential Iranian threats to mine the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic chokepoint. In light of this, a senior Navy official has expressed the urgency of minimizing the time these vessels spend out of their operational area.

The official highlighted the limited options available in the Indian Ocean for maintaining the Navy’s littoral combat ships stationed in Bahrain. Thus, completing the maintenance in Singapore, which is approximately 6,300 km (3,915 miles) away, has become a priority. The aim is to ensure these ships return swiftly to their base of operations, although no specific timeline was provided.

These developments come against the backdrop of increased hostilities following the onset of the U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran. Tehran’s aggressive actions, including targeting nations hosting U.S. military bases, have effectively led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. This has resulted in a significant disruption, affecting roughly 20% of global oil and liquefied natural gas supplies, triggering a severe energy supply crisis.

Since the start of the US-Israeli war on Iran, Tehran has attacked countries that host US bases and effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz, a conduit for a fifth of the world’s oil and liquefied natural gas, causing the worst energy supply shock in history.

Iran has deployed mines in the strait, sources have said, and its Defence Council on Monday warned various types of mines, including floating mines deployed from the coast, could be used if the US were to blockade Kharg Island, Tehran’s main oil export hub.

“Both I and everyone I’ve introduced to the Medicube Booster tool are absolutely thrilled with it,” Kyle Richards shared during an Amazon Live event last year. She praised its effectiveness in shrinking pores, smoothing fine lines, and enhancing skincare application, likening the results to a professional facial treatment.

Hailey Bieber also turned to the Booster Pro, showcasing her “skin prep for a shoot day” in a 2023 TikTok video that featured the device in action.

And Kylie Jenner’s made the device part of her “glass skin routine,” as showcased on TikTok last year.

In her social post, Jenner applies the K-beauty company’s PDRN Pink Peptide Serum before using the Booster Pro (although no conductive gel is necessary), saying she’s “obsessed” with the “all-in-one facial device.”

The Kylie Cosmetics founder has also been spotted wearing Medicube’s sheet masks for glowing skin.

Illinois Governor Acknowledges Missteps Amid Heartfelt Tribute to Slain Chicago Student

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker has voiced his concerns about significant shortcomings in handling immigration issues, taking aim at former President Trump for not adhering to his own policies.

On Friday, 25-year-old Jose Medina was detained in connection with the fatal shooting of Sheridan Gorman, which occurred early Thursday at a pier in Chicago. Gorman, who was with friends at the time, was tragically killed. Medina, a Venezuelan national residing illegally in the U.S., was initially detained by the U.S. Border Patrol on May 9, 2023. However, he was subsequently released under the Biden administration’s policies, as reported by the Department of Homeland Security.

Governor Pritzker, in a fresh statement, appeared to criticize the Trump administration, as highlighted by the Chicago Tribune.

“This incident is a profound tragedy, and my heart goes out to the Gorman family for their immense suffering… There have been notable failures. These failures are not limited to Illinois but are national in scope. They represent a lack of comprehensive immigration reform and a shortfall on the part of the president in enforcing his own directive to prioritize action against the most dangerous individuals,” Pritzker stated on Tuesday.

Pritzker made the comments as homes in Yorktown Heights, New York, where Gorman is from, were lit up in green on Tuesday night in honor of the slain Loyola University Chicago student. Green is one of Yorktown’s school colors, according to CBS News.

“And in my view, we have a lot of work that we need to continue to do,” he added. “But it is the job of the federal government to go after immigration enforcement, and it is the job of our local and state law enforcement to prosecute or catch violent criminals and prosecute them, and we should continue to do that both on the state level and the national level.”

Illinois is considered a sanctuary state, and local law enforcement agencies are generally prohibited from participating in immigration enforcement.

“People are popping green lights on just to let the Gormans know that, you know, we’re all here for them, and we’re here for Sheridan and just our hearts are broken for them all,” New York Assemblyman Matt Slater said.

Jessica Gorman, Sheridan’s mother, told the New York Post outside her home on Tuesday, “We are gonna get justice for Sheridan.”

“We are really focusing this week specifically on burying our daughter. We are really focusing on the beauty of her life,” she said. “We are not addressing this man.”

Jose Medina-Medina

In an earlier statement to Fox News Digital, the Gorman family said they are disappointed with policies that allowed Medina to remain in the country.

“When systems fail—whether through release decisions, lack of coordination, or unwillingness to act—the consequences are not abstract. They are real. And in our case, they are permanent,” the family wrote.

An arrest report obtained by Fox News Digital shows that Medina was seen on security video in his apartment building’s lobby waiting for an elevator while unmasked after the alleged shooting. A building engineer told police that he knew the suspect who had a “very distinct limp and gait.”

Police said that Medina was wearing a black mask and black clothing as he walked away from the shooting, noting that he had a “distinct limp and slow gait.” He was seen walking from the location of the shooting to Pratt Boulevard at 1:12 a.m. Just a few minutes later, the individual was seen walking northbound through the east alley of Sheridan Road before he entered the back of his apartment complex.

Images of the suspect were sent to a police database, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection identified the suspect as Medina. He was arrested at his apartment in Rogers Park, according to the arrest report.

Medina told officials in 2023 that he was living at Leone Beach Park fieldhouse in Rogers Park in 2023, which was being used as a city-sponsored shelter for migrants. The city-sponsored shelter closed in 2024, according to South Side Weekly.

Fox News Digital reached out to Pritzker’s office for comment.

Trump-Appointed Judge Rules Against MyPillow CEO in Smartmatic Payment Dispute: A Turning Point

A judge appointed by former President Trump in Washington, D.C., has sided with Smartmatic in their request to hold MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell in civil contempt, compelling him to pay penalties for presenting “baseless” claims about the 2020 election in a federal court. This decision is reflected in the court docket.

While the details of U.S. District Judge Carl Nichols’ ruling on Tuesday remain confidential, the docket indicates that Smartmatic’s motion for contempt was approved, as detailed by Law&Crime.

Since early 2025, Lindell has faced $56,369 in fines. By March of that year, Smartmatic had grown impatient and filed a motion to hold Lindell in civil contempt, arguing that he had neither paid the sanctions nor engaged in discussions about payment terms.

When questioned by the judge about his non-compliance, Lindell cited an “inability to pay,” submitting sealed documents for the court and Smartmatic to evaluate. He later attributed the issue to changes in his legal team and claimed he had not received the court order.

In response, Smartmatic argued in January that Lindell had the financial means to settle the fine but deliberately chose not to, showing “disregard for this Court’s orders” rather than experiencing a true financial crisis.

Smartmatic countered in January by saying that Lindell had the funds to pay but he simply chose not to out of “disregard for this Court’s orders, rather than genuine financial hardship.”

As evidence that “further contempt sanctions” were warranted, the voting machine company — whose technology was used only in Los Angeles County in 2020, a county Joe Biden easily won in that year’s presidential election — pointed to the hundreds of thousands of dollars raised by Lindell’s legal defense fund and his Minnesota gubernatorial campaign.

Rather than paying Smartmatic, a recent supplemental filing said, Lindell spent $187,037.87 to buy copies of his book “What Are the Odds? From Crack Addict to CEO” from MyPillow Inc. and give them away on the campaign trail.

Smartmatic argued the spending numbers showed that Lindell could afford the sanctions but decided to “pay his own company and by extension, himself,” instead.

As such, the company argued that “[o]nly the threat of contempt will move him to comply[.]”

The contempt motion had asked Nichols to at least issue a “daily penalty” until Lindell paid in full for violating the “clear and unambiguous terms” of the sanctions order, but left open the door for another “appropriate remedy to coerce his compliance.” Once the order is unsealed it will become clear just how far Nichols went.
