Tracy Anderson’s Poodles Escape Hamptons Yard and Attack Neighbor

0

Celebrity fitness guru Tracy Anderson’s poodles allegedly escaped from her Hamptons property and attacked a 76-year-old neighbor, leaving the woman with severe bleeding and deep puncture wounds to her calf, the Daily Mail can reveal.

Monica Enders told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview that she was taking out the trash from her Sag Harbor home on the night of August 9 when she looked up and saw Anderson’s three hip-height Standard Poodles growling and barking at her.

‘I was facing the dogs but they had me surrounded,’ Enders said, describing the frightening encounter to the Daily Mail.

One of the apricot-colored poodles then ‘darted in so fast’ and clamped onto her leg, she said.

‘I knew immediately it was bad,’ Enders recalled.

After screaming in pain and calling for help, Enders said all three dogs ran back through a hole in the fence and a line of hedges leading onto Anderson’s property.

Enders said she was able to stagger out of her yard before collapsing on a nearby sidewalk. A young woman, whom Enders identified as Anderson’s property caretaker, came to her aid and helped her call 911.

First responders arrived moments later, Enders said, finding her blood-soaked and suffering from two deep bite wounds on her left calf.

Police photographs showed Enders’ beige slacks soaked in blood, while officers documented a ‘deep laceration’ on her left leg.

Although she was injured, Enders said she managed to walk to a waiting ambulance. She told the Daily Mail that she lost consciousness after being placed on the gurney.

When she opened her eyes again, Enders said she was at East Hampton’s emergency medical facility.

According to a police report, Anderson spoke with officers while her neighbor was receiving treatment at the scene.

The 51-year-old fitness star told authorities she had not been home when the incident occurred but returned to ‘see the bite injury herself… she feels badly about what happened,’ according to a separate animal control investigators’ report.

Anderson also said the dogs—identified by investigators as River, Gigi and Mando—were back inside her home and that she did not know how they had escaped, the report states.

East Hampton Animal Control Department officials opened an investigation but were unable to examine the dogs. Court documents state that Anderson and her husband, Christopher Asplundh, left town with the pets the day after the attack.

It remained unclear whether any action would be taken against Anderson’s dogs following the incident.

Animal Control officials had initially considered pursuing a ‘Dangerous Dog Hearing’ under New York’s Agriculture and Markets Laws. In such a proceeding, a judge can determine what measures or restrictions are needed to control an animal, including whether it must be muzzled.

Under the law, euthanizing a dangerous dog is the ultimate step a judge can take.

The department, though, decided not to pursue the matter because Enders had initially told authorities she didn’t know which of the three dogs had caused her injuries.

Four days after the attack, Enders offered a written statement to investigators in which she specifically identified the dog that bit her as being apricot-colored.

Enders said she was initially in shock but was clear-minded when she made her signed statement to the investigator August 13.

In court papers, investigators noted that the apricot-colored dog was named River, while the other two – Gigi and Mando – were cream-colored.

Early in the investigation, officials had indicated Anderson was the owner of the dogs. But days later when they opted to draw up charges for the alleged attack, she told investigators that her spouse, a business manager, should be held responsible because the ‘vet records are in his name,’ the court papers state.

Asplundh was arraigned on September 8 on six violations – two for each dog – for the animals being unleashed and unlicensed. Under New York State law, all dogs over four months old are required to be licensed.

He was absent for the arraignment in Sag Harbor Village Justice Court but his attorney was told during the hearing that Asplundh will have to show up in person at some point to deal with the charges.

When told about the alleged unlicensed dog violations, Anderson, according to the investigator’s report, replied that ‘she was unaware what dog licensing was’ – and then ‘asked how to do so.’

The couple, who have five dogs in total, purchased their Sag Harbor home back in 2021, according to Sag Harbor Village records – the same year they got married.

Prior to the dog-biting ordeal, Enders said, the only thing keeping Anderson and Asplundh’s pets – including the poodles, a Cavapoo and Pomsky – in their yard was a hedgerow and a deteriorated stockade fence.

The day after the incident, Enders said, workers were seen installing a wire fence around the perimeter.

She has since retained a Manhattan-based attorney to represent her, though it wasn’t immediately clear if she planned to sue the couple.

The couple’s lawyer, celebrated Hamptons attorney Edward Burke Jr., told the Daily Mail: ‘My clients, Tracy and Chris, are deeply heartbroken by this unfortunate incident, which occurred the day before their long-planned relocation for the school year.

‘Their absolute priority remains the well-being and recovery of their neighbor.

‘The incident occurred after the dogs became startled, then ran through a hidden hole in the neighbor’s fence that was entirely obscured from our clients’ view. Chris was immediately on the scene, and secured the animals.

‘Our clients took instant action to remove the dogs from the area and have completely repaired the fence to ensure this cannot happen again.

‘These are loving family dogs, and Tracy and Chris remained in direct contact with their neighbor to offer their full support during her recovery.’

Enders says she never heard from the dog owners directly, though an employee of the owners was in touch.

Now, a month on from the attack, Enders said she is still recovering from her injuries and is thankful she can still walk.

She added, too, that the scary saga hadn’t diminished her affection for dogs.

‘I love dogs. I still love dogs even after this,’ Enders said.

Sydney PE Teacher Accused of Plotting Murder Conspiracy

0

A female physical education teacher who was granted bail after allegedly acting as a lookout for the gunman responsible for the fatal shooting of a Sydney tradesman has been returned to custody over an alleged plot to murder another person.

Ashleigh Ann Seeney, 28, was arrested on Tuesday evening, more than a week after two men were charged over an alleged plan to kill a member of an organised crime network.

Police allege the target is involved in an internal dispute within the criminal organisation.

Seeney, a teacher at Airds High School, has been charged with conspiracy to murder, participating in a criminal group and failing to disclose the identity of a driver or passenger.

Detective Superintendent Jason Box, commander of Taskforce Falcon, said the alleged murder plot was separate from the continuing conflict between the Alameddine organised crime network and its rival, the Coconut Cartel.

The new arrest came only days after Seeney was detained over her alleged involvement as a getaway driver for the “kill crew” accused of shooting dead Joshua MacDonald, 40, in what police believe may have been a mistaken gangland attack.

Mr MacDonald was shot while walking towards a home on Bruce Street in Merrylands West on the afternoon of September 2.

Seeney was initially charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder, participating in a criminal group and failing to comply with a digital evidence access order.

She was granted conditional bail on Saturday and released from custody on Tuesday.

Hours later, however, she was arrested again at Wollongong Police Station over the new allegations.

The latest charges were considered by the Bail Division Court on Wednesday afternoon. Seeney’s barrister, Matthew Ward of Morris Law, argued that bail should remain in place because the new alleged offences were not directly connected to the earlier charges.

Mr Ward also argued against her detention, telling the court that NSW Police had “every opportunity” to charge Seeney while she was already in custody.

The judge ultimately revoked Seeney’s bail and ordered that she remain in custody.

Seeney was not required to appear on screen during Wednesday’s hearing. She was ordered to appear before Parramatta Local Court via audiovisual link on November 19.

The NSW Department of Education has stood her down from her teaching role.

The development comes as NSW Police confirmed investigations by Strike Force Haleno are continuing.

They also said Mr MacDonald had no known links to organised crime and was not the intended target.

It is understood he was visiting a house where the occupants are allegedly ‘well known to police for organised crime activity’.

His grieving aunt and uncle, Darlene and Trevor Norton, told Seven News that their nephew died after leaping in front of his best friend Nick Brown and his two young daughters.

‘That’s Joshua all over. If he’d known those kids were in danger, [or if] anyone was in danger, he’d put himself in front [of them],’ Ms Norton said.

She shared a text message from Mr Brown praising his best friend and saying: ‘I am forever grateful for this beautiful soul. He is my children’s and my own guardian angel.’

When Ms Norton first heard the news of her nephew’s shooting, she said she refused to believe it was Mr MacDonald.

‘I thought it was another Joshua. And then I picked up my phone and just missed calls for the night,’ she said.

Ms Norton said her nephew was hardworking and kind-hearted, and recalled their final text exchange on his birthday, just days before the shooting.

‘Happy birthday, Josh. Hope you have a wonderful day. Love you. See you on the 13th of September. Kiss, kiss, kiss,’ she wrote.

His reply read: ‘Thank you. Can’t wait.’

In a separate incident, a day before Mr MacDonald was killed, multiple offenders entered a two-storey home in Glen Alpine, near Campbelltown in south-west Sydney, and killed 23-year-old student Marco Tapia.

He was not known to police and only had a traffic offence on his record.

Two boys, aged 14 and 16, were arrested last week and charged with murder and participating in a criminal group.

Unknown Wanderer Identified as Likely Suspect in 1982 Tylenol Murders

0

The Unknown Wanderer, a man poisoned inside an Idaho church in 1982, has been identified as Dr. Mathew Francis Betkouski. Investigators have also presented compelling evidence suggesting he may have been connected to the Tylenol murders, in which seven people died after taking cyanide-laced capsules.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) announced the breakthrough during a press conference on Wednesday morning, ending decades of speculation over the man’s identity.

Betkouski, who was from California, was found dead beneath a pew at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on December 4, 1982, after a confessional service, Ada County Sheriff Matt Clifford said.

He died from cyanide poisoning—the same method used in the Tylenol murders, which claimed seven lives during the final week of September 1982.

Authorities eventually identified Betkouski through one of 30 keys recovered from his body after his death.

ACSO cold case detective Tim Cooper outlined several pieces of evidence linking Betkouski to the killings. However, he stressed that investigators had not been able to conclusively identify him as a suspect.

While working as a chemist at the highly secretive White Sands testing facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Betkouski reportedly said that poisoning capsules would be an ideal way to kill someone.

Cooper said Betkouski was fired after a disturbance at a local pharmacy and was known to have a “documented fascination” with chemistry and explosives.

A woman also died from cyanide poisoning at the facility while Betkouski worked there, although her death remains unsolved.

Years after Betkouski’s death, investigators located his family and visited his childhood home. There, they found a small bottle of cyanide that was “likely homemade,” along with a map of Chicago, Cooper said.

The cyanide found at the home was a different type from the poison used in the Tylenol murders.

Investigators also learned that Betkouski had made several calls to pharmaceutical and chemical supply companies in Pennsylvania just weeks before the Tylenol deaths.

Detective Cooper further pointed to rumors that Betkouski may have confessed inside the Catholic church shortly before his suicide.

Cooper did not disclose the details of those claims, emphasizing that they had never been verified.

According to Sheriff Clifford, Betkouski was carrying a filled keychain, a typed suicide note and $1,900 when he died.

The note said he wanted the money to cover his funeral and cremation costs. It was signed “Wm. L. Toomey.”

Betkouski had never been reported missing. Police used the single key to trace him to Jacksonville, Florida, and then located a living relative who confirmed his identity.

Cooper said that Betkouski often talked about cyanide, referring to it as ‘a less messy way of taking a person’s life.’

The infamous Tylenol murders claimed the lives of seven people across the Chicago area after they ingested extra-strength Tylenol capsules that were laced with cyanide.

The youngest victim, Mary Kellerman, 12, was the first known person to die.

Just hours later, Adam Janus, 27, died, and while his family was grieving at his home, two more of his relatives, Stanley Janus, 25, and Theresa Janus, 19, passed away after taking pills from the same bottle.

Mary McFarland, 31, Paula Price, 35, and Mary Reiner, 27, also died after taking the tainted pills.

Their deaths triggered a nationwide Tylenol recall and sparked the invention of mandatory tamper-evident safety seals in consumer goods and pharmaceutical industries.

The murders remain unsolved nearly 44 years later.

Another man, Roger Arnold, was also investigated by police after he confessed to possessing potassium cyanide – the same substance used in the 1982 murders

Over that time, investigators identified some suspects, but only one man, James Lewis, was convicted.

Lewis wrote a letter around the time of the deadly poisonings to Johnson & Johnson – the former makers of Tylenol – stating that the deaths would stop if the company wired $10 million to a Chicago bank account.

He admitted to writing the letter, but claimed it was only to embarrass a travel company that the bank account was tied to.

In the end, he was convicted of extortion in connection with the letter and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

He was released in October 1995 and died at his home in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in July 2023.

Another man, Roger Arnold, was also investigated by police after he confessed to possessing potassium cyanide – the same substance used in the 1982 murders.

A bar owner, Marty Sinclair, also reported hearing the dock worker discussing killing people with white powder.

He was held several times by police, but never charged.

Arnold did, however, serve time for shooting a man whom he thought was Sinclair, in the summer of 1983.

He was convicted in January 1984 and served 15 years of his 30-year sentence. Arnold died in June 2008.

After his body was exhumed, it was used for DNA testing in the Tylenol case and did not match any of the DNA found on the bottles.

Scottie Scheffler’s Wife Meredith Shines in Gold Dress at Presidents Cup

0

Scottie Scheffler is a familiar presence in the public eye, appearing nearly every weekend as he competes in PGA Tour events.

His wife, Meredith, generally keeps a lower profile. Still, she is often seen supporting Scheffler when the world’s top golfer is celebrating another tournament victory.

Scheffler is set to represent Team USA at the Presidents Cup this weekend. Before the competition began, he and Meredith attended the Presidents Cup Gala on Tuesday night, making a stylish appearance ahead of the event.

Scheffler chose a polished blue suit, pairing it with a white dress shirt and red tie. Meredith turned heads in a striking gold dress accented with brown trim.

Public appearances by Scottie and Meredith are always a treat for fans, especially as Meredith is often occupied at home caring for the couple’s two young sons, Bennett and Remy.

Meredith made headlines ahead of The Masters earlier this year when she attended the prestigious tournament just a few weeks after giving birth to Remy.

The U.S. team won its 10th consecutive Presidents Cup in 2024. Scheffler will play a pivotal role as the Americans pursue an 11th straight victory, with Meredith expected to be there to celebrate if Team USA gets the job done.

Hailey Bieber Wears $68 Tee for Date Night With Justin Bieber

This T-shirt has earned its moment in the spotlight.

Hailey and Justin Bieber marked their eighth anniversary earlier this month, with Justin sharing affectionate Instagram photos of the couple playing pool.

The Rhode founder joked in the comments, “8 years of me being horrendous at playing pool,” adding heart-eye emojis. Still, her relaxed jeans-and-T-shirt outfit was hard to overlook—especially the contrast raglan from Cou Cou Intimates.

Coucou

The easygoing top features subtle bell sleeves and a dipped hem, one of the London-based label’s signature details. It’s crafted from 100% organic cotton, so shoppers with a larger chest or anyone seeking a looser fit may want to size up; like other pure-cotton styles, it can shrink slightly in the wash.

Bieber wore the navy-and-grey version for her casual date with her husband, though The Raglan is available in several additional color combinations.

Hailey Bieber wore the Cou Cou Raglan tee for date night with her husband Justin. haileybieber/instagram

This is not Bieber’s first Cou Cou appearance. Earlier this year, the model and entrepreneur was spotted in the brand’s white Rina Long Sleeve T-shirt. She joins Sabrina Carpenter, Zoë Kravitz and Kaia Gerber—as well as us—in embracing the intimate and casualwear label.

Carpenter and Gerber have worn the Rina, too. Inspired by Jane Birkin, the style adds an effortless, Parisian-feeling polish to a simple pair of jeans.

Cou Cou

As someone who owns several Cou Cou pieces, including the Rina tee, I can confirm that they are exceptionally soft, hold up beautifully in the wash and give denim an understatedly sultry update.

Hailey Bieber has been wearing Cou Cou on repeat this year, and we love the brand, too. haileybieber/instagram

The London-based brand, which takes inspiration from France, relies on sustainably sourced fabrics and designs its pieces to be worn for years rather than replaced like uncomfortable fast fashion. Its organic materials are also gentler on intimate areas.

Whether you’re dressing for everyday errands or settling in at home, this celebrity-approved label deserves a place in your fall wardrobe. The only catch? It can be remarkably easy to keep adding to your collection.

Convicted Felon Pleads Guilty to Federal Gun and Drug Charges

0

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Quardarell Henry Robinson, 38, has pleaded guilty to federal charges involving possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana, as well as possessing a firearm in connection with a drug-trafficking offense. John P. Heekin, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Florida, announced the plea.

“Through the outstanding investigative efforts of our federal law enforcement partners and the successful prosecution by my office, this armed drug trafficker has been removed from our streets,” U.S. Attorney Heekin said. “Those who bring drugs and violence into my district will face the full force of the Department of Justice.”

Details of the arrest

According to court records, DEA agents were monitoring Robinson’s apartment at The Reserve at Kanapaha, located at 4440 SW Archer Road, around noon on February 23. Investigators saw Robinson leave the property and get into a pickup truck while carrying a small black handbag.

DEA agents followed the pickup onto SW 41st Boulevard, also known as Fred Bear Drive, before it entered Fred Bear Archery at 4600 SW 41st Blvd. At approximately 1:02 p.m., a Florida Highway Patrol trooper stopped the vehicle in a felony traffic stop and took Robinson into custody.

Investigators searching a wooded area behind the Bear Archery parking lot reportedly found a black Glock 22 loaded with 10 rounds.

A witness parked along the west shoulder of Fred Bear Road, north of Bear Archery, told a DEA agent that a black object had been thrown from the truck’s passenger side shortly before the vehicle turned. The agent later located a small black handbag in a roadside ditch. Authorities said its size appeared consistent with the bag Robinson had been carrying when he entered the truck.

The handbag reportedly contained approximately 44.9 grams of crack cocaine, 1.5 grams of cocaine and 21 individual bags holding a combined 70 grams of marijuana. Investigators also found two larger bags containing about 17.2 grams of suspected marijuana, four additional industrial bags with approximately 20.2 grams of suspected marijuana, two gabapentin capsules, numerous empty baggies and a digital scale.

Law enforcement later served a search warrant at Robinson’s residence. The search reportedly uncovered another loaded handgun and cookware containing cocaine base.

Robinson faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in federal prison and could receive up to life imprisonment.

Chief U.S. District Judge Allen C. Winsor is scheduled to sentence Robinson in Gainesville on November 23, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.

The investigation was conducted jointly by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Adam Hapner and James McCain are handling the prosecution.

The case falls under Project Safe Neighborhoods, the Justice Department’s nationwide strategy for bringing together federal, state, local and tribal authorities, prosecutors and community safety partners to reduce violent crime. Each of the nation’s 94 federal districts develops PSN efforts around its own public safety concerns. As part of Operation Take Back America, the initiative focuses on swift federal action against violent offenders, strong cooperation among law enforcement agencies and accountability through prosecution of serious, provable crimes. The department said these efforts also support and reinforce President Trump’s Homeland Security Task Forces in addressing major public safety threats.

Love Island Winner’s Girlfriend Jailed Over $2.6m Tax Fraud

0

The girlfriend of Love Island winner Davide Sanclimenti is facing an 18-month prison sentence after failing to report millions of dollars in income on her tax returns.

Iris Rabaya Au, who refers to herself as “The Goddess”, received more than $2.6 million (£1.95 million) connected to illicit funds allegedly generated by her former partner, Adam Iza. The self-described cryptocurrency businessman was known as “The Godfather”.

Au, 37, of Orange County, California, was sentenced to 18 months in prison on September 21. The ruling followed a plea agreement reached in March 2025, when she admitted one count of subscribing to a false tax return.

The mother of two was also ordered to pay $1.4 million (£1 million) in restitution as part of her sentence.

Court documents seen by the Daily Mail state that Au must forfeit a collection of luxury vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz GLS, a Porsche 911 and a Ferrari 488 Pista.

Her seized possessions also included 14 Louis Vuitton handbags, three Chanel bags and items from Prada, Burberry, Hermes, Gucci and Dior. Three “Godfather” sculptures were surrendered as well.

United States District Judge Percy Anderson imposed the sentence. Au was represented by Christopher Darden, who served as a co-prosecutor in the OJ Simpson murder trial.

The influencer describes herself as a “devoted mother, survivor, and entrepreneur”. She is now in a relationship with 31-year-old Italian reality star Sanclimenti, who won Love Island in 2022.

The pair began dating in May 2024 and confirmed their relationship publicly in January 2025, while Sanclimenti’s former partner, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, was appearing on Love Island: All-Stars.

Sanclimenti has promised to remain by his girlfriend’s side and recently offered her public support in an Instagram post.

Before her relationship with the reality television star, Au was involved with Iza, a 26-year-old accused cryptocurrency fraudster.

Iza has been held in custody since 2024 and has admitted to several offences. They include fraudulently accessing Facebook advertising accounts and selling access to them, activities he used to obtain and conceal millions of dollars in income.

Prosecutors alleged that Au established shell companies and opened bank accounts in their names at Iza’s direction.

According to prosecutors, illicit money deposited into those accounts helped fund roughly $1 million (£750,000) in payments—mostly made in cash—to serving Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies who provided Iza with private security.

The prosecution also said Iza used the deputies to secure court-approved search warrants and obtain confidential information about people involved in financial and personal disputes with him.

Authorities allege the money financed or supported luxury homes, vehicles, jewellery and clothing, as well as recreational spending that totalled almost $10 million.

Authorities said Au acquired around $16million (£12million) in cryptocurrency for her then-boyfriend using the shell accounts.

More than $2.6million (£1.95million) was transferred from various accounts into Au’s personal bank accounts between 2020 and 2023 that she did not declare to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the US tax service.

Prosecutors said she wilfully failed to declare the income to the IRS on her tax returns.

‘(Au) set up the financial infrastructure that enabled Adam Iza to move, spend, and conceal millions of dollars in fraud proceeds while she personally benefited from the wealth,’ they said.

‘Au concealed entities and income from her tax preparer and filed returns reporting only a small fraction of what she had actually received.

‘Those were affirmative acts designed to prevent the IRS from learning the true extent of her income.’

Au has suggested that she was a victim of coercion in a video she shared on social media on Sunday, the day before she was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

She said in the video that she had been in ‘an abusive relationship with a former partner’ during which she ‘made mistakes, including with my taxes’.

‘I made mistakes, serious mistakes, and I take responsibility for them,’ she said.

‘Davide stayed beside me, my family stayed beside me. Whatever happens next, it’s a chapter. It’s not the end of my story.’

Davide, in a supportive comment, wrote: ‘I know how much you’ve suffered and you never deserved any of this.

‘I’m proud of how strong you’ve been through everything, you gave me strength too… and I really believe there’s so much light and good ahead for you. You’ll come out of this even stronger.’

Au replied: ‘Thank you for staying by my side through my hardest seasons & loving me through all the healing. I love you.’

Davide had previously told the Mail that he knew of his girlfriend’s legal troubles when they first met, telling us in March: ‘The truth is that I knew about her situation from the start which is why I was protecting her.

‘Iris is an amazing person who has been through difficult situations that most people could never understand.

‘There’s so much of this extraordinary story that people don’t know yet. I will be there by her side to supply her as she deserves all the support and understanding.’

Adam Iza pleaded guilty in January 2025 to one count of conspiracy against rights, one count of wire fraud and one count of tax evasion.

He is due to appear in court on October 5, and is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence over his involvement in an attempted Bitcoin robbery and kidnapping in Connecticut in August 2024.

Au made no comment as she left the courthouse following sentencing alongside Davide and two friends, influencer Alli Stavro and personal injury lawyer Tina Odjaghian.

Ms Odjaghian posted a picture of herself, Ms Stavro and Au to her Instagram Stories following the hearing, captioning it: ‘Friends show up for friends no matter what.’

Kurt Cobain’s Daughter Frances Bean Makes Rare Red-Carpet Return

Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, has made a high-profile return to the Los Angeles red carpet after an eight-year absence.

The 34-year-old attended the premiere of The Deputy, a new crime comedy starring William H. Macy and former Kanye West partner Julia Fox.

Frances was joined at the event by her husband, Riley Hawk, the son of skateboarding legend Tony Hawk and another member of Hollywood’s so-called “nepo baby” generation.

She had largely stepped away from red carpet appearances after 2018. That year, she was photographed with her mother at the opening of the Los Angeles boutique Other People’s Children.

Later that year, Frances was seen alongside Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, at the Moschino x H&M runway show during New York Fashion Week.

After years out of the spotlight, Frances returned to the red carpet on Tuesday, drawing attention for her strong resemblance to her father, the Nirvana frontman whose 1994 suicide has recently become the subject of renewed mystery.

For her latest public appearance, Frances chose a stylishly faded graphic T-shirt that recalled the alternative-rock aesthetic associated with her parents during the 1990s.

Her long, straight blonde hair fell loosely over her shoulders, further highlighting the physical resemblance she shares with her father.

The Daily Mail has contacted Frances’ representative for comment.

Following her 2018 appearances, Frances largely disappeared from public showbiz events. Her last known appearance before this week came when she sat in the front row at a Moschino show at Universal Studios Hollywood in June 2019.

During her years away from the red carpet, she began dating Riley in 2021. The couple married two years later in a private ceremony in the San Diego area.

The secret wedding was officiated by Frances’ godfather, R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe, who had been a close friend of Kurt Cobain.

Following Kurt’s death, Stipe wrote the R.E.M. song “Let Me In,” inspired by his efforts to help his friend confront his personal demons.

Kurt Cobain was found dead from a shotgun wound in Seattle in April 1994, after a prolonged struggle with depression and heroin addiction.

Frances was nearly two years old when she lost her father. In September 2024, she and Riley welcomed a son, Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk.

Riley raved last year about the life he and Frances lead as a ‘a very quiet stay-at-home family’ with a son who was ‘learning every day,’ via People.

He reflected that he and his wife ‘don’t really think too much about’ their parents’ legacy in entertainment and prefer to ‘just do our own thing.’

Meanwhile, Tony Hawk shared a heartrending Instagram caption in February 2025 on the subject of Kurt’s absence from his baby grandson’s life.

Posting a ticket stub of a Nirvana concert he attended in 1991, Tony wrote: ‘I wish Kurt were here so he could see the incredible woman his daughter has become, meet her devoted, caring husband, and hold our wondrous grandchild.’

The day before Valentine’s Day 2018 – the year of her final profusion of red carpet appearances before her eight-year hiatus – Frances made a rare disclosure about her personal life by marking two years of sobriety.

‘It’s an interesting and kaleidoscopic decision to share my feelings about something so intimate in a public forum. The fact that I’m sober isn’t really public knowledge, decidedly and deliberately,’ she wrote. ‘But I think it’s more important to put aside my fear about being judged or misunderstood or typecast as one specific thing.’

Without clarifying what she had been addicted to, she wrote: ‘It is an everyday battle to be in attendance for all the painful, bazaar, uncomfortable, tragic, f***ed up things that have ever happened or will ever happen.’

Frances’ mother also abused cocaine, heroin and pills before announcing in February 2020 that she had achieved 18 months of sobriety.

Love lost custody of her daughter from 2003 until 2005 after a painkiller overdose, and in 2009 court documents revealed that the then 17-year-old Frances had been placed in her grandmother’s guardianship.

NYC Mayor Mamdani Bars NYPD From Responding to 311 Homeless Camp Calls

0

City Hall is sidelining the NYPD in responding to New York City’s homeless encampment complaints.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani has directed the NYPD not to answer 311 reports involving homeless encampments, leaving the responsibility with the already strained Department of Social Services, according to sources familiar with the policy who spoke with The Post.

Under the new system, police officers must wait for authorization before taking action — and it remains unclear when that approval might come.

“This is just crazy,” one source said. “The cops can’t assist. They have to wait for DSS, and DSS doesn’t have enough personnel to investigate these reports.”

The directive expands Mamdani’s already controversial strategy for dealing with the makeshift encampments that have appeared across New York in recent years. That policy barred the NYPD from removing camps for at least seven days while outreach workers attempted to persuade residents to accept services.

Police had continued answering 311 calls involving encampments, even though officers were generally prevented from clearing the sites during that waiting period. That changed Tuesday, when an email sent to NYPD operations personnel informed them that officers would no longer respond to those complaints, sources said.

The email instructed officers who come across an encampment to report it through 311. From there, staff from DSS and the city Department of Homeless Services would assume responsibility, according to the sources.

“It’s a gray area,” one source said.

Officials with the Mamdani administration confirmed that the process had changed.

“DHS outreach teams, not NYPD officers, will assess the reported location of the encampment and offer shelter and support to any individuals encountered in the area,” a DSS spokesperson said.

The spokesperson added that the city is updating DHS tracking systems, improving location mapping and refining its monitoring process so officials can respond more efficiently to encampment conditions throughout New York.

City officials said the NYPD will continue to participate when formal encampment sweeps are conducted.

Mamdani outlined his more restrained approach to homelessness in late 2024, shortly before taking office, signaling a sharp departure from the policies of his predecessor.

Former Mayor Eric Adams made the removal of tent encampments a central priority after assuming office in 2022.

“We cannot tolerate these makeshift, unsafe houses on the side of highways, in trees, in front of schools or in parks,” Adams said in March 2022 as he launched a more aggressive effort to address homelessness. “This is just not acceptable, and it’s something I’m just not going to allow to happen.”

By contrast, Mamdani adopted a less interventionist posture toward shelters and encampments, even as the number of people experiencing homelessness who died during severe winter weather continued to rise.

Encampments have remained visible across New York over the past year. One sprawling site near the Intrepid Museum on Manhattan’s West Side remained in place until The Post reported on it, prompting the city to move in and begin clearing the area.

Another camp transformed a section beneath the FDR Drive on the East Side into a heavily littered area, while a makeshift outdoor shelter took over part of a sidewalk in Greenwich Village.

This week, a 30-foot-long shelter was discovered across the street from an NYU dormitory.

In several cases, city workers cleared encampments only for the residents to relocate to different sites.

However, the policy prohibited police from removing the shelters for at least seven days.

NYPD also confirmed the policy change.

“Any crime, traffic condition, or public safety issue will continue to be directed to the NYPD via 911,” a spokesperson said.
