The Founding Father impersonators held signs featuring old-fashioned rallying cries, including “MAKE HASTE,” “THOU HAST THIS!,” “LONG DASH —!” and “YE HAST GOT THIS!” Their cheers helped encourage the record-setting field of 60,000 runners competing in the 50th running of the world’s most famous race.
