Exciting New Chapter 105 Update for Dragon Ball Super Fans!

The Dragon Ball Super manga has made a triumphant return, setting the stage for the eagerly anticipated Chapter 105.

According to an update on the official Dragon Ball website, this year’s Goku Day celebration on May 9 focused heavily on the Dragon Ball Super manga. In honor of Goku’s 40-year legacy, an official poll has been launched to determine the fan-favorite cover art from the DBS manga volumes.

The outcome of this poll will be broadcast during a live event, with Toyotarou himself revealing the results. This event is a must-watch for fans who are keen to see the manga’s continuation with Toyotarou’s upcoming chapter.

The results of this poll will be revealed in a livestream by Toyotarou personally, making this particular reveal a major one to watch for fans hoping to finally see the manga return with Toyotarou’s next chapter

As announced on May 9, Dragon Ball Super’s special “My Favorite Cover” poll is a fan vote that anyone can take part in. Fans are invited to vote for their favorite combination of Dragon Ball Super front and back cover art of the 24 manga volumes released so far. The voting period ends on May 31, with the final results revealed in August.

According to the official Dragon Ball website, “Toyotarou will make an appearance to announce the results in a special edition of the Weekly Dragon Ball News broadcast, the video news series published every Monday (JST) on this site.” However, given that the August issue of V-Jump actually releases around June 20, fans could potentially get some new info on the manga’s continuation even sooner than they think.

Interestingly, Dragon Ball‘s website also hints that the winning cover “might even be turned into something special.” It goes on to further specify: “The winning illustration set will get an even more elaborate alternate version drawn by Toyotarou himself!”

Toyotarou has also personally weighed in on the matter, adding some optimism around fans’ hopes that the manga could be returning soon. Via a post on X, Toyotarou simply asked fans, “Please vote for us.” This comes after Toyotarou recently updated his bio with the statement, “Everything is for the return of the series.”

It’s a positive sign that Toyotarou is taking on an active role in Dragon Ball Super‘s current proceedings, especially with the anime set to soon adapt his Moro Saga from the manga.

The new poll focusing on the Dragon Ball Super manga is major news hiding in plain sight for fans waiting for the manga’s comeback. In the past, Dragon Ball Super’s most major reveals were also spotlighted by DBS’ increased presence in V-Jump. For the February issue (which technically released in December 2025), Toyotarou drew a new Gohan and Goku cover for the magazine. While fans didn’t realize it at the time, this was meant to highlight the Dragon Ball Super anime’s return following the Genkidamatsuri event in late January.

Meanwhile, Dragon Ball Super’s anime remake, titled Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, is set for an October release, with the highly anticipated Galactic Patrol Arc anime yet to confirm a release date. Given how far off these releases are from August, it’s very possible that Dragon Ball could be setting fans up for a major manga reveal very soon, with summer 2026 the window to watch out for.

The cast of Dragon Ball Z, including characters such as Son Goku, Vegeta and Piccolo, among others, leaps towards the camera in the poster for the show.
