New details are emerging in connection with a missing elderly Nebraska couple who haven’t been seen in over a week.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Robert Proctor, 89, and Loveda “Veda” Proctor, 92, were last seen in Aurora driving a blue, 2007 Chrysler Pacifica with Nebraska Navy plate number, 1030. Police activated an Endangered Missing Advisory last Sunday.
The couple’s granddaughter, Laci Fleming, told CrimeOnline that the pair left their Aurora home on January 11 at around 4:10 p.m. for Grand Island, Nebraska. They stopped at the Grand Island VA hospital after Robert said he “felt like hell,” according to Fleming.
After Proctor received medical care, Veda tried to drive them home in the dark, and at some point got lost while trying to return to Aurora.
“Veda attempts to drive them home in the dark and heads west on Faidley Avenue from St. Francis,” Fleming wrote. “Video footage shows Veda turns south on Webb Road around 8:15 pm. They aimlessly drive around searching for Aurora, NE.”
“They reportedly arrive at a home in Giltner and ask for directions, specifically to Aurora, between 10:00 and 10:30 p.m. Please note it should take around 30 minutes to get from Grand Island to Giltner.
“My husband and I personally drove south on that road and discovered that at almost exactly 5 minutes, driving at Veda’s pace around 35-40 mph, the pavement ends and the road turns to gravel in all directions.
“This tells us that Veda knew NOT to take gravel at this time. After Veda and Bob return to the stop sign after 10 minutes, they turn EAST on W 6 Road.”
There were reports, according to Fleming, that the couple stopped at another home on W 6 Road, outside of Gilmer. Fleming, however, said, there’s no video evidence to “confirm or deny”if this actually happened.

“We deeply appreciate the help we’ve received as well as all the prayers and well wishes. Please never give up on this search, we WILL find Bob and Loveda Proctor,” Fleming added.
Robert Proctor is described as about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 145 pounds with thin gray hair and a cobra tattoo on his right forearm. Loveda Proctor is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall and 190 pounds with blue eyes, gray hair, and a New England Patriots tattoo on her right arm.
Police say Robert has dementia and requires blood pressure medication, and that Veda gets disoriented driving at night.
